CANANDAIGUA — The city of Canandaigua hosted its annual Fourth of July celebration on July 4.

Thousands of spectators cheered on veterans, first responders, local community groups, musicians, antique cars and youthsas they strolled on historic downtown’s Main Street to the Canandaigua Lake waterfront.

“Community” was this year's celebration theme and more than 60 community groups, local businesses and elected officials built floats, played music, entertained in a walking group or drove a car, tractor or even horses as a favorite mode of transportation. More than 100 units strolled the route, while Pittsford Fire Department Marching Band and Rotary Club of Canandaigua played patriotic music.
