Electric technology talk
Before I discuss some of my thoughts and experiences with EVs, first up just a few comments about my credentials. Most of what I know is non-technical, and as much as I try to understand tech experts across our Albany and Hamilton Action teams I do get a bit lost in the kilowatts and torque talk.
What I can talk about are my observations, my thoughts about the future, and why I am so keen for Action to work alongside our partner Tourism Holdings (thl) to keep pace and understand what the future of transport could be.
My interest first began with a presentation by Stanford University Professor Tony Seba (it’s worth Googling some of his YouTube clips). He presented a photograph of a New York bumper-to-bumper traffic jam of horses and carts around the beginning of 1900, with a single car visible.
