Amazon knocks £55 off Oral-B toothbrush that leaves teeth feeling 'dentist clean'

An Oral-B toothbrush has been praised by shoppers for leaving their teeth feeling 'dentist clean' and is currently £55 off in Amazon's sale. The Oral-B Pro 3 Electric Toothbrush is available for £44.99 – down from its original price of £100 – ahead of the retail giant's Prime Day sale.

The Pro 3 can also be purchased at Boots and Superdrug for £45. This toothbrush features Oral-B's deep-cleaning 3-in-1 technology, which is said to remove 'up to 100 percent' more plaque than a manual toothbrush, Birmingham Live reports.

The device offers three 'easy-to-use' cleaning modes and includes a handle-integrated quadrant timer that signals every 30 seconds to change where you brush. The smart toothbrush also has a special 'Sensitive' cleaning mode and 360⁰ visible gum pressure control that lights up if you brush too hard.

Customers can personalise the device with Oral-B's variety of brush heads designed for specific needs such as deep cleaning, gentle cleaning and whitening. The round brush heads are capable of cleaning areas that standard rectangular manual brushes can't reach.

What's more, the toothbrush comes with Oral-B's upgraded, long-lasting battery and an LED display that indicates when it needs charging. Shoppers will also receive an Oral-B travel case, allowing you to keep your teeth sparkling while on the go.

The Oral-B Pro 3 Electric Toothbrush has earned a 4.6-star rating after 7,149 Amazon reviews. Buyers have hailed the gadget as doing 'an amazing job for the price' that has them wishing they 'bought one years ago'.

One shopper said of the device: “Perfect electric toothbrush. I spent a lot of time looking for the right electric toothbrush for me. Eventually, I landed on this one as I don’t need anything too fancy, and this toothbrush does an amazing job for the price! My teeth feel dentist-clean every day now!”

Another said: “Brilliant toothbrush. Top tier for all cleaning needs, the black colour looks really sleek and classy, it’s much faster than my old one which was an older Oral-B model. The speed gives an overall feeling of comfort and a very clean mouth. Battery life is very good, I need to charge it once per week and that will allow for 2-3 uses per day.”

A third added: “Definitely a good buy. My teeth feel much cleaner. My dentist agreed an electric brush was better and also said I don’t need to spend a fortune on one. This price range would do the job and it does. I bought a second one for my son who admitted he used to have one but hadn’t replaced it. I wish I had bought one years ago.”

However, one less satisfied shopper said: “I dislike the lack of grip on the handle and that the on/off switch is small. The battery life is not good, I have had the brush for three months now and it holds charge for less than a week. It’s nice to have a box to keep it in when travelling although I have always managed before and haven’t had to take my charger on short trips. I would not buy this model again.

However, another buyer disagreed, writing: “Fantastic battery life. I took this on a two-week holiday and never had a problem with the charge. It was still going strong after the fourteenth day. That is two minutes twice a day times 14. I was just so thankful for the reliability. Love the colour too and the flashy red light that says ‘Hey ease off!’. Very pleased with this.”
