EastEnders' Billy devastated by betrayal, Mitchell exit confirmed and Reiss twist

EastEnders spoilers confirm horror news is set to hit a number of characters in Walford as one Mitchell decides to leave the Square while another is left heartbroken.

Eastenders: Will Mitchell pushes Stevie to the floor

EastEnders is set to deliver a shock for several characters in the forthcoming episodes, with one Mitchell making the decision to depart Walford.

The week begins with Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) organising a party for his father Stevie (Alan Ford) at The Queen Vic. As the Mitchells assemble for the festivities, Billy reveals to his son Will that Stevie and his long-lost mother, Val, share the same birthday.

However, he confesses that he has no idea where his mother might be. Meanwhile, at the cafe, Teddy (Roland Manookian) confronts Stevie and sternly tells him to stop lying.

After Phil (Steve McFadden) overhears them discussing a secret they're hiding from Billy, he becomes intrigued and enlists the assistance of his reliable lawyer Ritchie (Sian Webber) to dig deeper.

Later at The Vic, Stevie is touched by the efforts Billy and Will (Freddie Phillips) have put into the party, leading Billy to give a heartfelt speech about his father and send good wishes to his mother, wherever she might be. However, Phil soon arrives and pulls Stevie aside to show him the evidence that Ritchie has discovered about him, which is far from favourable.

Upon returning to No. 18, Stevie confesses to Billy that his mother has passed away, with Teddy witnessing the admission. Stevie then recounts the tragic story of Val's death to his shocked sons, Billy and Teddy, before making a significant decision.

The shocking revelation leaves Billy feeling shattered, leading him to confide in his cousin Phil, who advises him to understand Stevie's true nature. Later, Teddy encourages Billy not to let this revelation destroy their relationship.

However, it remains uncertain whether this is the end of Billy and Stevie's father-son bond. As the week progresses, more news awaits Billy as Stevie decides to depart from Walford.

Feeling broken, Billy turns to his cousin Phil for advice, who urges him to see Stevie for who he truly is. But during a conversation, Will misinterprets Billy's words and inadvertently reveals that Phil framed Stevie. This leads to an enraged Billy accusing Phil of trying to sabotage his new family.

Stevie pleads with Billy and Teddy to listen to his side of the story and apologises for his actions before planning his exit from Walford. After another confrontation with his nephew Phil, Stevie requests a favour from Big Mo.

Phil is livid when he discovers his car is missing and contacts the police, while Stevie asks Billy if he can bid farewell to his grandchildren. Later, Billy and Teddy organise a family dinner at Walford East but exclude Phil until Jay (Jamie Borthwick) invites him.

Teddy attempts to mend the rift within the family as Phil joins them, but a showdown between the men soon follows. Phil continues to alienate himself from those close to him.

Meanwhile, Reiss Colwell's financial woes worsen on the other side of the Square as he receives a medical bill for Debbie. During his Tuesday visit to Walford (July 9), Reiss is under immense pressure as he faces an £18,000 bill for his wife's care fees.

Reiss (played by Jonny Freeman) has depleted Debbie's savings to fund his girlfriend Sonia Fowler's (portrayed by Natalie Cassidy) IVF treatment as they yearn to start a family together, leaving no money for Debbie's care.

However, as a nervous Sonia goes in for her embryo transfer, Reiss receives a call informing him that Debbie's care fees are three months overdue. In response, Reiss decides to rent out the spare room to earn some extra cash, unbeknownst to Sonia. But she soon discovers his plan and is not pleased with his latest scheme.

Reiss confesses his financial troubles and Sonia reassures him that they'll find a solution but rules out getting a lodger. However, Reiss is offered a lifeline when Sharon Watts (played by Letitia Dean) offers him a job to chase her unpaid invoices.

Spotting an opportunity, Reiss decides to employ some creative accounting to pad his pockets while collecting the money owed to Sharon. He feels guilty when Sharon pays him his wages, plus a little extra for taking on the job at short notice.

Back home, Reiss lies to Sonia, claiming he has enough to cover Debbie's care fees. Will Reiss' web of lies and deceit be unravelled?
