EastEnders fans have been left stunned after learning the real-life age gap between the mother and daughter Priya and Avani Nandra-Hart.
EastEnders enthusiasts were taken aback when they found out the actual age difference between Priya Nandra-Hart and her on-screen daughter.
Priya, played by Sophie Khan Levy, made her entrance into Walford last year alongside her daughter Avani Nandra-Hart, portrayed byy Aaliyah James, as the former girlfriend and child of Ravi (Aaron Thiara).
At that time, Ravi was oblivious to the fact that he had a secret daughter, leaving him and the entire Panesar family in shock.
Priya and Avani didn't waste any time causing a stir. From the Panesar family's internal conflicts to Priya's own romantic complications, their stint in the square has been anything but calm.
The situation worsened this week when Priya's son Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) collapsed on the street due to his steroid use. The young lad was immediately rushed to the hospital, leaving Priya and his sister Avani heartbroken.
However, intrigued fans have shifted their focus from the storyline to the actors' real ages. In a Reddit thread, one EastEnders viewer highlighted that the actress playing Avani is actually 24 years old, not 14 like her character.
The actress who portrays Priya, the on-screen mother, is set to turn 35 this year. One fan pondered: "Isn't the actress that plays Avani in her 20s."
