Top perks
The Capital One Venture X Business has an impressive list of features.
150,000 miles
You earn a bonus of 150,000 miles after spending $30,000 in the first 3 months. This is easily one of the most valuable sign-up bonuses. You can get $0.01 per mile on travel bookings, or potentially get even more value by transferring them to Capital One travel partners. At a minimum, the sign-up bonus is worth $1,500 toward travel. Just make sure you'll be able to reach that hefty spending requirement before you decide to apply.
Earn up to 10X miles miles per $1
The Capital One Venture X Business Credit Card earns:
- 10X miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel
- 5X miles on flights booked through Capital One Travel
- 2X miles on all other purchases
Those rates make it one of the best business cards for earning rewards. The highest flat rate we've seen from business cards is 2 points/miles per $1. This Capital One card matches that, and it also earns bonus rates on your Capital One Travel bookings.

No preset spending limit
There's no credit limit with this card. Instead, your spending limit adapts based on your spending behavior, payment history, credit profile, and other factors. To be clear, this doesn't mean unlimited spending. It means the amount you spend can change over time.
That's helpful, especially for businesses that spend a lot, because your spending power could increase to fit your needs. Note that this is a charge card, and you need to pay off your card's full balance every month.
Free employee cards
This Capital One business card has an annual fee, but fortunately, employee cards don't. You can add free employee cards to your account for their business spending, and you'll earn rewards on their purchases. Capital One gives you the option of setting customized spending limits on employee cards. And just like with your own Capital One card, you can lock and unlock employee cards at any time.
The Capital One Venture X Business Credit Card has quite a few tools that can be useful for managing your business. These include:
- Account managers: Assign an account manager who's authorized to make purchases and payments, review spending, and resolve issues for you.
- Purchase records: Downloadable in multiple formats, including Quicken®, QuickBooks®, and Excel®.
- Year-end summaries: An itemized report of your spending to simplify budgeting and tax filing.
- Recurring transaction records: Pull up a list of merchants that charge your business every month.
Flexible redemption options
This card earns Capital One Venture miles. There are several ways to use them, but the best option is to redeem them for travel. You can do that by:
- Redeeming miles for cash travel purchases at a rate of $0.01 per mile. Capital One lets you redeem miles as a statement credit toward previous travel purchases. Or, you can redeem them through Capital One Travel.
- Transferring miles to Capital One travel partners. You can transfer miles to over 15 travel loyalty programs, including Air France-KLM Flying Blue, Avianca LifeMiles, and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. When you transfer miles, you can use them through the partner's loyalty program.
If there are any frequent flyer programs you like in Capital One's list of partners, transfers are a great way to use your miles. I always transfer my miles and have gotten values of $0.02 per mile, $0.03 per mile, and sometimes more this way. If you want to keep it simple and save time, you can always use your rewards for cash travel purchases at $0.01 per mile.
