KEY POINTS

  • Costco Business Centers generally cater to businesses, but any Costco member is welcome to stop by.
  • Commercial appliances, to-go containers, and snacks in bulk are some of the top finds.
  • Costco Business Centers can help families save even more by offering huge discounts for massive bulk purchases on things families use every day.

It's often said that less is more, but at Costco, it's often the case that more is more. And then there are Costco Business Centers. If Costco is where more is more, Costco Business Centers are where a truckload is just about right.

Costco Business Centers offer a lot of the same items that Costco offers, but maybe not how you'd expect. They generally cater to businesses, but anyone with a Costco membership is welcome to visit, buy 85 muffins, and be on their merry way.

Here are nine products you'll only find at the Costco Business Center.

1. Over 6 pounds of Nutella

There are a lot of items I've seen at Costco that caught my attention, but none of them has yet to compare to the jaw-dropping awe that this one singular item has created: a 6.6 pound tub of Nutella.

Yes, the delightful chocolate hazelnut spread, but in a bathtub-sized container, is available through Costco Business Centers. Perfect to literally soak in after your next bad breakup without breaking the budget.

2. Enough snacks to stock a convenience store

That's the point, really. Costco Business Centers offers a ton of snacks that are packaged for individual resale but sold in bulk, so you can open your own snack bar by the pool and charge the neighbor kids for Nutter Butters, Oreos, Pocky, Pringles, and Flamin' Hot Cheetos. If you have a proper convenience store, they're handy for that, too.

3. Enough diapers to cover every baby in your local maternity ward

Hey, hospitals and nurseries need to buy lots of diapers from somewhere, right? Might as well be the Costco Business Center. A box of 192 diapers sounds like a lot until you actually have a baby, and then you might appreciate the convenience factor and useful toddler-sized box for their older siblings to play in.

All of the diapers also make a great gift for baby showers, even if first-time parents seem confused as to how they'll ever use 600 diapers (...it's a surprise!).

4. Cases of cat pate

When I say cases, I mean cases. For example, Costco Business Centers carries a 60 count box of 5.5 ounce cans of Friskies pate. My trash kitten refuses to eat pate and will only eat the more liquidy cat food with the rice mixed in, but should he change his ways one day, this box will last him about 73 days. And he's not a small boy, at almost 11 pounds and a year and a half old. It's a great option for rescues and cat ladies alike.

5. All of the batteries

When I say you can find all of the batteries at Costco Business Centers, I don't mean you can find a few batteries there, or a lot of kinds of batteries there. I mean you can get 48-count packs of AA and AAA batteries, just in case your kids are getting a ton of battery-operated toys for their next birthday or you have two dozen remotes that you need to power at the same time.

Get two packs and you might be able to power a small vehicle. I don't really know a lot about batteries, except that they usually come in 12 packs.

6. A whole goat

Yes, you can definitely, 100% buy a whole goat at the Costco Business Center. You can also buy a whole lamb. Both are approximately 30 pounds, and pared down to the meat and bones (no organs or cleaning required), and were butchered so they're appropriate for halal diets.

If you're craving goat curry, this would be the place to go for all your goat-related needs (15-pound boxes of lamb or goat cubes are also available).

7. Lots of sorts of to-go containers

Costco Business Centers cater to office-type businesses, but they also have lots of restaurant-specific merchandise. Take, for example, the 96 different types of to-go containers and boxes on offer today, July 10, 2024.

You don't have to be a restaurant owner to buy these, either. They might come in handy for your next big family reunion, church potluck, or community block party. Or, you know, just because you never want to wash dishes again. Harsh on the environment, but valid for Costco savings.

8. Commercial appliances

Stocking restaurant supplies also means stocking the gear a restaurant needs, from pans to commercial grade freezers, ranges, dishwashers, fryers, and ice machines. The 500 pound shipping weight of the Kutano 2-Door Reach-In Freezer, for example, is no problem for Costco to just deliver to your restaurant or grocery store.

Some items are warehouse-only, meaning you have to actually go to one of the few Costco Business Centers in person. But you can also special order commercial appliances directly from Costco.

9. Volume sales

Technically, volume sales ship directly from the Costco Business Centers to your place of operation, but they're only available through the Business Center portion of the company. Volume sales don't mean 96 batteries -- this is pallets of printers, bushels of apples, or a truckload of office chairs. Costco has what you need, even if it's a ridiculous amount of it.

Need LOTS of stuff? Check the Costco Business Center near you

Although there aren't Costco Business Centers everywhere there are regular Costco Warehouses, there are plenty around. If you need something in bulk for your business, for a party, or just because you really would like to relax in a tub of Nutella, they have you covered.
