Creighton University is a private Jesuit university established upon a Gothic architectural-style campus in the heart of Omaha, Neb. One of only 28 Jesuit universities in the country, students at Creighton are guided by Jesuit principles throughout their time at the university. Creighton offers more than ​​140 academic programs, with popular fields of study in nursing, finance and biology. Students are encouraged to expand their academic pursuits through internships and study abroad programs, where 80% of Creighton
undergraduates complete an internship or research project. More than 500 students study abroad, visiting more than 50 destinations each year. Creighton hosts more than 200 student organizations including fraternities and sororities, and 35% of Creighton undergraduates are involved in Greek Life. Creighton’s 14 Division I varsity sports compete in the Big East Conference. Bluejay traditions run deep, with events like the annual Skutt Shutdown, an interactive involvement fair that allows students to discover new hobbies, and meet other people who share similar interests.
