Información general

For Sidel, a global provider of packaging solutions with 50 locations worldwide, it needed to simplify and improve connectivity between branches and address technology vendor sprawl. It lacked a single view of its network, hampering its ability to solve networking, connectivity, and security problems, which may have gone unnoticed. In addition, Sidel faced complexity securing on-premises applications and an increasing number of cloud-based services.

The best solution to the company’s connectivity challenges, especially given the increasing use of cloud services, was to transition to a secure software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) architecture, enabled through FortiGate Next Generation Firewalls (NGFWs). By increasing the security, performance, and reliability of the company’s WAN, the new SD-WAN architecture has enabled Sidel to increase the levels of service and business value delivered to its customers and partners while simultaneously reducing connectivity and administration costs.

“We already had good experience with FortGate Next-Generation Firewalls from one of the companies we have recently acquired, so when we realized they also had some of the most advanced SD-WAN capabilities integrated into the very same platform, it seemed an obvious choice.”

– Simone Castellucci, Manager for End User Services, Sidel
