Dave Detling
Dave Detling joined the FOX 13 News team in September 2023.
He comes from our sister station, KTVU FOX 2 News, in the Bay Area where he was a reporter covering crime and community-oriented stories.
Prior to California, Dave spent time at the ABC affiliate in Baltimore City where he was a nightside reporter. One story that sticks out to Dave is when he uncovered massive housing issues with a slumlord who had dozens of properties throughout the Charm City. Before that he worked for the ABC affiliate in Memphis, Tennessee.
Born and raised on Long Island, Dave studied journalism at Emerson College in Boston before taking his first full-time reporting job in Albany, New York. Dave has had the privilege of traveling and working in various cities and states across the country. Your stories matter to him.
He is thrilled to be in the Pacific Northwest and call Seattle home! If you have a story idea, community concern or just want to say "hello" drop him an email, find him on social media or call him directly.
Dave’s never met a stranger he didn’t already know!
