Woman dies following mobile home fire near downtown Las Vegas

A 60-year-old woman has died after being caught in a mobile home fire this past weekend.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A 60-year-old woman has died after being caught in a mobile home fire this past weekend.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said they received calls of a fire at 2700 Stewart Avenue, near downtown, around 5:03 p.m. on Friday, July 5.

Units arrived within five minutes, officials said.

Firefighters extracted one 60-year-old woman from the home and then extinguished the fire. She was transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition, but would later die on Sunday, July 7.

The fire remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Unit with assistance from Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.
