Mary Katharine Ham said that Trump should use the muted-mic rule in the upcoming CNN presidential debate to let Biden talk “because the longer he talks, often the more tied up he gets.” She also said it is the media’s “job to spin” any unflattering video of Biden as “cheap fakes” because it is “meant to be sort of adjacent” to videos that are “actual fake manipulation.”

Tim Hogan said that “no rational voter” will use the upcoming debate to make “a decision based on age.” He also said that Republican social media accounts are “very good” at promoting unappealing videos of Joe Biden.

Jason Chaffetz said of President Biden’s executive order allowing certain undocumented spouses married to U.S. citizens to apply for permanent resident status without leaving the country, “You’re doing this in a crass way right before the election, and people see through it.”

Griff Jenkins said that the situation at the Washington Post is “unbelievable” as London Telegraph Deputy Editor Robert Winnett withdrew from the position of Editor at the Post following reports of serious ethical questions, and “you can’t overstate how significant this is” to occur at “one of the most revered newspapers.” He also said that Washington Post owner, billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has “to make a decision” on whether to sell the paper in light of massive revenue losses because “this town is driven by power in politics and the Washington Post has been at the top of the list for decades.”
