Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale Was Just Restocked—Shop the Best Deals

Gird your wallets: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here, and it’s major. If you’re a fan of saving a buck on fashion and beauty finds, it’s time to get going, considering the best stuff is starting to disappear. (Early access for cardholders started on July 9, while the general public gained access on July 15.) The summer sale lasts in-store and online through August 4, with a few rounds of restocks along the way.

Another Nordstrom sale, another avalanche of deals on designer handbags. Pretty much everyone’s here: Coach, Rebecca Minkoff, you name it. Anyone in the market for a great work bag should also try to snag this adjustable Longchamp beauty, which we love for commuting; it’s one of Kate Middleton’s go-to brands, too. Also noteworthy are newcomers like JW Pei and Dagne Dover, which have earned cult followings for their unique designs. I own pieces from both brands (a duffel from Dagne and a shoulder bag from JW) and can confirm that they far outperform their price points—especially when they’re on sale. Go on, see what all the hype is about.

Hello, everyone who skipped right to the sneaker roundup. (I salute you.) The deals are particularly great this year, although, as is tradition, select sizes are already gone. The good news, though, is that we’re still early enough in the sale to snag the truly remarkable deals for a limited time. These On sneakers are particularly amazing, considering the brand almost never gets marked down. Meanwhile, Adidas, Nike, Converse, and buzzy brand P448 are between 20% and 30% off.

Unsurprisingly, this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale deals are home to solid markdowns on all the walking sandals, comfortable heels, and ballet flats you’ll want to wear everywhere. I won’t tell you what to do, but I’ll at least suggest that you snap up those Ugg slippers and Birkenstock slides while they’re somehow still on sale. With fall nipping at our heels, you can’t go wrong with chic knee-high boots for when the weather turns. I’m also impressed by Nordy’s on-sale trend edit, which includes slingback kitten heels, silver glove flats, and Mary Jane ballets from Mansur Gavriel, a brand frequently repped by Katie Holmes and Taylor Swift. And speaking of Taylor, she wore these exact Stuart Weitzman heels to producer Jack Antonoff’s wedding last summer.

Get a jump great designer sunglasses from the likes of Celine, Tom Ford, and Prada before they sell out. (I’m building up the courage to pull the trigger on those exceptionally cool shades from Fendi, which add a downtown edge to any outfit.) Just don’t wait too long to check out, considering high-end accessories don’t tend to last when they’re marked down.

I’ll be honest: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has left me wishing for more exciting men’s deals in the past. This year, though, the retailer understood the assignment. I’m blown away by the sheer quality of these markdowns, including great all-occasion T-shirts, handsome jackets from British heritage brand Barbour, and of-the-moment sneakers from New Balance and Adidas. (None of them reek of “sale items.”) Now excuse me while I pick up a brand-new camp shirt, trendy sunglasses, and versatile boat shoes for my next dressed-up occasion.

We don’t have to tell you that sales on gold and diamonds are unusual—you’ve probably been tempted by enough full-price pieces to know that they aren’t often marked down. Nordstrom didn’t get the memo, though: Diamond-encrusted watches, pearl earrings, and stackable necklaces from Glamour editor-favorite Monica Vinader will set you back much less than usual. I’m also impressed by that $30 Kate Spade necklace, which I can guarantee makes a stellar gift for the women in your life.

Your beat-up luggage can only last so long. If you’re looking to upgrade your current situation, stylish bags from Herschel and Monos (which go on sale only a few times a year) are marked down; personalized jewelry cases and ultraplush travel sets will also make your voyage all the more luxurious.
