You can always rely on Lady Gaga to surprise us with a new beauty look. But after her performance at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris on July 26, which featured bleached eyebrows and white-blonde hair, her latest hair change is so decidedly different, we did a double take.
In an Instagram video posted on August 13, Lady Gaga can be seen sitting at her piano wearing an oversized T-shirt and comfortable shorts.
There is no sign of her trademark white-blonde hair. Instead, the lighter shade has given way to a deep black shade that falls poker straight around her shoulders, with two shorter strands at the front of her temples.
Whether it's a wig or not is hard to tell, but we can all agree that her jet black hair is already a trending shade for autumn 2024.

Lady Gaga already spiced up her blonde hair with black highlights at the end of June but she has now dared to embrace an all-over dark hue. And she's not alone.
Witchy brunette, a shade characterised by almost-black strands, is having a moment with Charli Xcx leading the charge. Even Kaia Gerber has recently swapped her sun-kissed brunette for a much dark, cool toned, almost gothic vibe. Like both of these stars, Lady Gaga has interpreted the hair colour trend with wispy long lengths.
Of course, Lady Gaga's new hair colour isn't the only thing causing a stir in this short video. Her T-shirt features Bruno Mars, which she conspicuously holds up to the camera, leaving us wondering: can we expect a collaboration between the two singers soon? Watch this space.
