"Sateb" laser weapon system

Only 6 countries in the world have the ability to manufacture laser weapons, of which the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the producers of laser weapons. According to the IRNA defense correspondent, the knowledge of designing and producing laser defense systems is one of the important achievements of the defense industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran in recent years, and laser cannons that are able to counter and destroy aerial targets using powerful laser beams. Today, Iran's defense units are located in the combat organization to confront hostile targets.

It was the first time in September 2009 that the then CEO of the Electronic Industries Organization of Iran (Sayeran) announced that Iran had acquired the knowledge to design and manufacture defense laser weapons and deploy them in critical areas of the country to protect these areas and said: "Good achievements in killing. "Sateb" laser weapon system is the name of the achievement and product of Iran's defense industry in the field of laser weapons, which today has the task of protecting and guarding the sensitive and vital places of the country. The advantage of using such systems is their high speed against air targets such as drones and cruise missiles, because in these weapons, the projectile, which is a laser beam, moves at the speed of light, and also as long as there is energy flow, this firing continues.

Due to the high complexity and technology of the laser field, so far few countries in the world (6 countries) have been able to enter the field of laser weapons, of which the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the six countries that have been able to short-range laser weapons systems for air defense and Design and manufacture defense of critical facilities.
