RUINED, the seventh and final book in the Witches of Santa Anna series of novellas...
Natalia Moore is the new girl at Santa Anna Prep, and all she wants to do is fly under the radar -- get to her classes, meet a few friends, and try not to make a total fool of herself in the meantime. But when handsome and popular Campbell Elliot goes out of his way to be nice to the new girl, Natalia's plan to go unnoticed flies out the window.
Cam’s hot, but he’s completely off-limits. Raine Marsden, the most popular and meanest girl in school, has had her eye on him ever since the summer. And Raine doesn’t like competition.
When Cam goes as far as inviting Natalia to the exclusive weekend party at Raine's house, Raine sets her sights on a new victim. But what Natalia doesn't know is that Raine and her friends are no ordinary mean girls. They have powers most people can only dream of, and nobody will stand in the way of what they want. And what Raine wants is Campbell.
The Witches of Santa Anna series of novellas, proves just how far true love will go and that nothing--not even pure evil--can change your destiny….
...Oh!!! I'm not sure what to think about this 'end of season one' cliffhanger.... I'll just have to wait and see what happens in the next lot!!!
Still enjoying these, still wanting to press on - good storylines, love the characters but I'm still knee deep in mystery and unanswered questions! All is good!
Ruined, brings us to Book #7 and the end of the first Season per se of the Witches of Santa Anna series which of course ends on a major cliffhanger like the previous books. Ruined took us to Homecoming dance night where the group had a limo hired to take them to the dance. Brody kept Natalia occupied, while Raine and Becca disappear with Cam and Aiden. She finally breaks off despite Brody's warnings over and over that she will ruin everything and cause a major war if she interferes. She runs into the woods and saves Cam and Aiden just as they are about to be sacrificed by Raine and Becca. Ruined finishes with Cam and Natalia being together and hopefully living a HEA for now, but Brody turns up and it seems that these pairs are destined never to be together as if they are it could by the sounds of it destroy humanity as they know it. I am still I have to be honest majorly confused about this series as it seemed to jump all over the place and no real depth to each of the novellas. Like the previous books, each book is a quick read novella and ends on a cliffhanger.
So, book 7 ends with a cliffhanger, and a huge announcement that SEASON 1 is over. Holy cow, how many more will there be?!
What did we learn in RUINED?
- All you have to do to stop witches is rip off their necklaces and scream. They're powerful enough to kill, but when you yell at them to run away, they will. - Nat and Cam can't be together because some bigger, scarier witches will mysteriously start some unknown war for unknown reasons if this happens - Brody is a stalker - Nat has no idea what she wants from love - Cam is pretty darn gullible all around
So, this one ends with Nat and Cam together, then Nat seems to go to Starbucks without any pants on, where she is being stalked by Brody who makes creepy, mysterious remarks and freaks everyone into a second season of Santa Anna witchiness.
Since I already bought 8-13, I'll go that far -- but then NO MORE!
I got this as part of a 7 book set (Ruined is the final book in the set) for the Kindle, but each book was really short and I finished all in an afternoon. The story is pretty strong (interesting characters and a pretty quick moving plot that kept me engaged) but I'm not sure why they felt the need to split it up into so many "books." There appear to be 2 more books that continue the story but I am having trouble finding them to purchase. Book 7 leaves you with a lot of unanswered questions and I would really like to find out the answers.
This is the 7th book in the series, and if you have been following my reviews on this series, you will see I am starting to get really p***ed off with these novellas now.
I was planning to skip this one altogether as I think it is becoming a bit ridiculous now, but I caved and bought it.
First off, it seemed very short, much shorter than the other novellas in the series. I did enjoy the story, and I'm glad Nat and Cam are finally together.
It's a good read, once again too short, I read the 1st seven in less than 4hours plus doing other things aswell. I am going to keep going, I just hope that more of what is goign on is explained and what Derek and Brody have to do with all this is explained soon.and also, what war are they walking about? needs to be explained in the next book hopefully.
So I thought this was going to be the last novella in the series, but according to the ending, there will be lots more to come? Holy. I was glad that Nat and Cam finally reconciled, but I think the story should have ended there.
There were things about this series that I thought were pretty good; but, no matter how much I enjoyed certain chapters the books were mediocre at best. At this point I am not sure whether or not I will continue with the series.
By far the best of the series. So glad Cam and Natalia finally get together But I was hoping that this would be the last book as this series but from the cliff hanger there will be lots more to come.
While I'm liking the whole short story deal, I'm starting to wonder if we're ever going to learn what the deal is between Raine and the Triad, Natalia, Cam and Brody!
This series of books are really short answer didn't do much for me.... They didn't make much since and they kind of made me bored through out the series
