Waiting for You

Rate this book
As a divorced man in my thirties with a throwaway job and very few friends, I admit that I’ve made a lot of bad decisions over the years. Rounding out the top of that epic list was allowing my son’s best friend, Quinn, to talk me into taking him on a two-week summer road trip…alone.
What was supposed to be quality father-son bonding time before Joshua goes off to college has somehow transpired into a battle of wills between me and his nineteen-year-old best friend.
Quinn may be young but he genuinely seems to enjoy spending time with me, something I’ve never experienced before, and it feels nice to finally have someone care. I mean, being friends with the kid wouldn’t be so bad, right?
But Quinn suddenly seems hellbent on flirting with me, and the way he looks at me is anything but friendly. My will to stay away from this sweet, attractive, and persistent young man is waning. With the two of us alone in a camper, in the wilds of Michigan…Christ, this is bad…very, very bad.

Waiting For You is a low-angst and spicy MM age-gap, son’s best friend romance.

No rating.

Mostly, I got bored, so bored.

There's no plot here, just chapter after chapter of 19-year-old Quinn (who acts 30) trying to get into Grey's pants.

Grey is 33 but acts 80. He has no personality besides pushover, and Quinn's entire identity is crushing on Grey.

Grey's son, Joshua, is Quinn's bestie, but Quinn seems to hate Joshua, like he's just using him to get close to Grey.

Not that I blame Quinn because Joshua is a spoiled asshole, and Grey his willing doormat.

By the time your kid is a teen, there needs to be some reciprocity in your relationship. Joshua just takes and takes, then blows off Grey at the last minute (via text!) before a vacation Grey's been planning for the two of them for months.

If my 17-year-old daughter disrespected me like that, she'd be on her own for college tuition. But she never would because she's a mature, responsible, well-adjusted near-adult.

Anyway, someone shame me for trying with this author AGAIN when I know damn well her books irritate the hell out of me. Tell me I'm an idiot. Go on. I deserve it.

Waiting for You was a cute story with a lot of tropes I enjoy with Cora’s signature quirky writing!

We have Grey who is trying to reconnect with his son Joshua before he goes off to college by going on a road trip together. But sadly, his son bails out at the last minute in order to spend time with his girlfriend. Their relationship is strained and fractured due to Grey’s ex-wife. After she took custody, she kept their son away while feeding him hateful things about his father. He was hoping to spend quality time and repair their relationship.

Quinn is Joshua’s best friend and has always been attracted to Grey. He’s noticed how Joshua and Karen treat him, and when their summer road trip plans fall through, he asks if he can join him instead and use their time together as an opportunity to get closer to the older man.

We get the very Cora-esque wild and manic thoughts of Quinn, which were hilarious at times! Despite being only 19, Quinn is self-assured and so confident. He knows what he wants in life, and that includes Grey. He isn’t afraid to shoot his shot. On the other hand, Grey is plagued with self-doubts and can’t imagine what a young man such as Quinn would see in him. However, Quinn works hard to prove to him that if he gives them a chance, the chemistry between them can become something real and lasting.

While I did enjoy this story, there were a few things that I wasn’t crazy about. First of all, Grey is only 33 years old. Yes, he had a child at a very young age and life wasn’t easy for him, and that can age anyone, but he acted like he was in his late 50s or 60s....like his life was over. I kept forgetting this man was only 33 with how he acted. Second, Quinn’s attraction to Grey really seemed superficial. I liked that over time, we got to know why but it wasn’t explored as deeply as I would have liked. While their sexual chemistry was amazing, I felt like I was missing that spark and connection I usually feel with Cora’s couples. Maybe because it felt so one-sided for over 50% of the story? I don’t know.

But I did enjoy how Quinn built up Grey’s confidence and made him act like his age. He was also ready to stand up for him and didn’t let the hateful rumours influence him. Grey really did need someone as vibrant and young as Quinn in his life to be honest.

On a side note, the fact that Cora has SIX (iirc) more books planned this year is both amazing and exciting.

Overall despite the little issues I had I enjoyed Waiting for You. I love Cora’s stories and look forward to what is next to come,

MM Romance
Best Friend’s Dad

DNF @ 70%

I need to stop torturing myself with this author. Grey’s inner dialogue reminded me of the guy from Reaching Reed, just can’t remember his name. Obviously it’s not Reed 🤣 It’s the same fucking dialogue. “I had a lot of coffee that must be this jittery feeling I have around him or maybe I’m having a stroke”. Grey, the dad, is a bottom and likes to be the submissive which is great since Quinn is a power top. I read a lot of their size differences. Did you know Grey is big and hairy like a bear? Quinn however is small and not Grey’s normal type 🙄 I’m also pretty sure this author needs an anatomy lesson because the position they were in would be im-fucking-possible for their balls to slap together during sex. Just saying.

It was hard for me to even give two fucks about this couple because Quinn has been in love with Grey for years but we don’t see any of it and Grey never thought of Quinn this way until they are on a camping trip that was supposed to be Grey, his son Josh and Josh’s best friend Quinn but Josh bailed last minute. Quinn is so damn pushy 🤦🏻‍♀️ OTT pushy. Made me cringe 😬 AND 33 is not old people. Having to hear Grey bitch about his age was just another thing making me want to quit. 🙄

I stopped when predictably Josh shows up 🙄 and just prior to that Quinn was talking about farts and puke. Why should Josh give a fuck? He’s had no relationship with his dad for years because his mom brainwashed him but omg the horror 😱 even though he has a girlfriend 🙄🙄🙄 And here we have another guy with sparkling green eyes like emeralds 🙄🙄 & this guy on the cover matches no one and gives me the creeps.

If I attempt to read this author again, please shoot me.

He’s breathing new life into me, my spirit that was once withered is starting to bloom. I’m starting to feel like maybe, just maybe there is hope. Maybe things could end up differently for me. Maybe with Quinn things could be different.

I really feel for Grey. He has the worst self esteem. Seems as though everyone in his life has done nothing but put him down and criticize him for things he hasn't even done. His ex is a real piece of work. Quinn seems like the one person who has always seen him for what he is, a kind, loyal and caring father and man. Grey was supposed to go on a camping trip with his son, but his son backs out at the last minute.

I have never been with someone so different, someone so much smaller than me…younger than me. But we look good together. We just…fit, somehow.

Quinn, his son's best friend, breaks the news to Grey and offers to go in his place. Quinn has had his own family issues growing up. His parents have taken a very hands off approach, which while that has helped mold him into the young man that he is, it hasn't always been easy on him. Interestingly, this is partly what makes him such a good match for Grey.

Once Quinn and Grey get going on the trip, Quinn goes in hard with the flirting. Grey tries really hard to stop it and keep things on friendly terms, but to say Quinn has a single minded focus would be an understatement. He has been biding his time and waiting for years for his chance to show Grey how much he wants him and how much he thinks they would be great together. I loved all the little moments shared between them as they travel around the U.P.

God, he’s big. He’s like twice my size and the fact that he bottoms is so fucking hot. Like, you wouldn’t expect it from a guy who looks like he does. He’s the best kind of surprise.

Quinn loves to take care of Grey and this is exactly what Grey needs. No one has ever really taken care of him and his needs. Grey also relishes in the fact that Quinn likes to take charge in the bedroom. Just because he is bigger physically doesn't mean he wants to be in charge and he has had a hard time finding partners who can satisfy him. These two really complement one another and work well as a couple. This was a quick and easy read.

Fucking know this, Greyson. You’re mine. And I’m yours. I don’t want anyone else.

apparently, i only like cora rose’s unexpected series.
is it a coincidence? is it brainwashing? have i been abducted by aliens and now i have some weird disease?
the possibilities are endless.

i honestly don’t have much to say.
this is kind of boring. the best part of forbidden relationships is the tension and we basically don’t have it here.
gray spends his time complaining that he’s old and quinn is, uhm, alive, i guess. he doesn’t have much of a personality.

i could go on with other negative things, but you know the drill, we don’t waste time here.
and while we’re talking about not wasting time, let’s not make this another series and just focus on unexpected, i’m waiting for ben.
thank you!

Another fantastic Cora Rose story!!!! I loved this forced proximity, age/gap romance between Quinn and Grey. They are such a fun pair that have amazing chemistry with many perfect steamy moments. It never fails that in any trope this author writes, she hits it out of the park.

I was so curious how a road trip romance would turn out and this story went above and beyond what I ever could have expected. I love the dynamics between these two characters. Quinn has a surprising amount of depth and Grey is so touch-starved, making Quinn's possessiveness work perfectly for Grey's more submissive tendencies.

Overall I loved this standalone story so much!!! I always enjoy the quirky scenarios Cora Rose writes and this is another stand-out that I completely devoured in one sitting as I was so captured by these characters and their intense need for one another. It made for such a wonderful story.

Cora Rose does it again, another amazing story! Waiting For You is a low angst, age gap, son's best friend MM romance, that's hot as F! Quinn has been in love with Grey for years, and when his son backs out on a road trip they had planned, Quinn jumps at the chance to go instead. Grey never doing anything for himself, putting everyone else's happiness before his own, he tries not to fall for Quinn's advances, but can't resist. Even with the age difference, they're perfect for one another, and I loved their journey to their HEA! Through the highs and lows, I got all the feels and definitely recommend!

Audio was sooooo good!!

"Never," he says softly. "I told you I'd wait. I'd wait a lifetime for you."

waiting for you by cora rose was frustratingly good. and it is for me so a basically a big win. the recycled story line should've put me off but it just sucked me in. i was continuously flipping the pages for the next chapters even though deep down in my heart i already knew what was about to happen. the only thing that i didn't liked here was how the author treated 33 years of age as something old. ancient. neither old nor ancient but this fine man is in his prime. i mean theo james is already 39 but imagine him at 33 years old driving his van with you across the country for a roadtrip with hot sex on the side? immaculate.

Yes I am utterly surprised I liked this book more than I expected, but that's practically the description of every book I like.

I almost gave it 4.5★ but the smut wasn't spicy enough. Like there is smut, but compared to the dreams Quinn had to what he and Grey did, incomparable unfortunately.

I know a lot of people don't like Grey, but I really appreciated him. I see people judging him and how he struggled with his feelings and his life but I feel like he's an honest representation of all the ways of how life just makes you tired and just wanna give up.

And I gotta give it to Quinn, he's one very persistent guy. ✊👏

Oh and did I read just while I was ignoring the mountain of deadlines I have (and it's only Tuesday?)

Yes I did.

Cora Rose does it again! I’m seriously obsessed with her writing. It sucks you in immediately and you can’t come up for air until it’s all over! Whenever she releases something it’s a no brained to purchase it. I am a Cora Rose stan.

“Waiting For You” was amazing! It was her first age gap story and it was everything! It was definitely a unique spin on age gap. Quinn was 19 and he waited patiently for 4 years to finally get his best friend’s dad, Grey. The two week road trip was the perfect opportunity and he made the best of it! 🤣 I really enjoyed these two together. Grey was such a cinnamon roll of a man and he did the best by his son. I really loved how he finally did something for himself for once. Quinn was everything. I loved how even before the trip, he showed up for Grey even when Josh would ditch his dad. I really loved how just because there was an age gap and size difference, the writer didn’t follow the typical top/bottom roles. It was so hot! 🥵🥵

This story was one big hilarious and steamy adventure. I had a blast reading this book! I love that Cora’s stories are low angst. They are great palate cleansers and will jumpstart any reading slumps.

I highly highly recommend this story! Amazing job as always Cora!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you can’t go wrong with a book from Cora Rose!!!

This book was funny, fun and full of spice 🔥
It was full of emotions from two men of different ages, one full of doubts and one full of life!

Grey was 33 divorced, had a son about to start college and an ex wife who treated him like a door mat for years and who damaged the relationship between father and son. Greyson was so happy when his son agreed to go on a camping trip with him, until he blew him out at the last minute.

Quinn had been in love with his best friends dad for years, now he’s 19 and his chance has come around to finally make him his, he’s going to go on the trip with Grey that his friend was ment to go on. He’s going to do everything he can to make Grey his!

I loved the persistence of Quinn, that boy was not giving up on Grey no matter what hurdle was put in his way!! I mean he even fights of a big hairy, hunky, thick legged guy with a parrot!! Now that’s a commitment 😂

I love that Quinn literally filled Greyson up confidence that he lacked, he showed him the life he could have, the love he’s missed out on and give him first times he thought he’d never get.

The dynamic between them was one of my faves, size difference!!!

Great low angst read.

So this was alright. It had its good moments, interesting moments. I enjoyed Grey and Quinn for the most part and they had good chemistry.

But some things bothered me, like making Quinn's parents so hands off that they barely even cared about anything their son did - making it conveniently easy once they found out about their 19 year old son being with his best friend's 33 year old father as they barely react to it - and no one really having a reaction to Quinn going in the place of Joshua, Grey's son, on the 2 week road trip they had planned.

Now, even if you didn't know Quinn had a massive crush on Grey, had for 4 years, was practically in love with him already, wouldn't it just be plain weird for your best friend to go in your place with your dad on a trip together? It'd be weird to me.

So why didn't Josh react? He was just kinda cool with it and that was that. Now, he had a big reaction when he found out they were more, but honestly I felt he should have been suspicious from the minute he found out Quinn was going with his dad on the trip, whether he's close with Grey or not.

I think Josh's lack of presence in this until all the sudden he was there could have been done better. He should have been in this more, to make the impact of him finding out even greater.

Also, Quinn seemed to just kinda dislike his best friend this whole time? At least, because of how he thought of and treated Grey. But Grey was such a big thing in Quinn's life that that seemed to color his whole opinion of Josh. And he had been doing this for years, since Quinn was 15, so...I didn't really get why they were friends.

We didn't get that best friend connection, so it didn't feel like such a betrayal for Quinn and Grey to get together.

It was just...where was the tension? I mean, we got good tension from Grey being the one so wary of starting anything with Quinn and once Josh found out and all that, but that's only near the end of the story.

For a good portion of this it's *just* Quinn and Grey, so it just mostly felt like a regular love story for the most part. I wanted more from the taboo aspect of Grey being Quinn's best friend's father and teh 14 year age gap.

We see Grey's ex, Karen, like once and she's not happy about it all either, but it's just one interaction and not that bad. In fact, Grey even ends up standing up for himself and it's more about Grey taking back some power in their dynamic where before she'd just take and take and then badmouth him to their son constantly.

Which...I didn't get why Grey allowed that to happen. His explanation of feeling guilty - because he was in the closet for so long in their marriage - didn't quite feel like enough. Like, I get like if he did that at first. But at the start of this it's been years. His son deserves to know that his mom is 100% lying to him about his own father, repeatedly, over and over, and hiding things from him, because of her own bitterness.

Which he does....at the very end in a throwaway line.

Like...there was just so many opportunities missed in this. And I was gonna rate this higher, round up instead of down, but the more I'm writing this review, I realize the more I have problems with this book.

Was it enjoyable at times? Yes. It gets points for leaning into the taboo...a time or two. Grey having a hard time giving in, Josh's initial reaction. But it didn't do enough, and while the chemistry was good, it wasn't great.

So most of this was just middle of the road for me. Enjoyable, but a lot 'meh' in between and other things that really annoyed and bothered me as listed above.

I adore this author, but this one just didn't quite hit the mark for me.

It was just alright, in the end.

Best friend’s dad is one of my favourite tropes, but I think I need to accept that this author is not for me. WTF is even happening?

It reads like a bad porno but without the sex (although they are horny enough that I’m sure it’s coming, and probably loads of it).

They are horny, constantly thinking about sex, but Grey is resisting because reasons. But still kissing whatever his name is (I’m drawing a blank), pretending they are boyfriends, holding hands and jacking off to thoughts of him while sleeping in the same trailer. Make it make sense.

I don't know why I bother with books like that. l'm certain books written by my daughter would have more character developement and more interesting plot because this one has neither. Cora writes and uses language like 5 year old. 33 year old man in a book sounds like a teenage on steroids with mentality from kindergarten, it's just awful. Grown ups do not behave like that. There is no mature talk here apart from what they'd like to do to each other. One of my favourite tropes: age-gap and the execution fell flatter than flat. This is not how you write a good book. In fact, I'm sure "Waiting for you" shouldn't have seen the light of a day.

"I never met a bad decision I didn’t like. Most of the time those bad decisions happen upon me without warning. Like right now. I never mean for these things to happen, they just do."

Waiting For You was another low angst, steamy, easy read by Cora Rose who has really found a formula that works in this genre.

Our MCs are Greyson (33) and his son's best friend Quinn (19). Whilst age gap is not one of my favourite tropes by any stretch, I didn't struggle too much with this because the gap wasn't tooooo big. Quinn was a typical obsessive, horny teenage and Grey was a stressed out single dad, who had his son very young, to a partner who turned out to be a total biach.

I enjoy forced proximity, so the camping trip alone together was fun, but there was so many tropes packed into this one that it almost felt forced at times (age gap, son's best friend, forbidden, forced proximity, size difference, opposites attract, reappearance of an ex, misunderstanding, quirky pet parrot, rescue dog, etc. etc.)

That said, it was still a fun, steamy read and as always with Cora you need a bit of suspension of disbelief - but isn't that why we choose to read these tropes?😉

Wow, what a surprise! 4.25

This was so good!

I've read just about all of this author's books and have really loved only Whit, Sem and Emery, but not the others, and I feel this book is right up there with those three. Bravo.

🟡 His best friend's dad
🟠 Age gap - 14 years
🔴 Size difference
🟢 Younger MC strongly pursues the older MC
🔵 Years of pining
🟣 You're mine
🌶️ Great spice

This book was so funny, entertaining and sexy , I can't even say when was the last time I laughed so hard.

There's a new word for thirsty and it's called Quinn.

Quinn is 19 years old and has been in love with his best friend's dad since he was 15, when they first met. He's pining really hard and waits until he's over 18 to make his move. Noone knows about his feelings and when the opportunity presents itself, Quinn pounces.

This was my Quinn, although add to that a septum piercing.

Grey is the dad. Now, he's only 33-years old, because he had a kid when he was 16, before he could come to terms with the fact he was gay and before he could come out. He did that later on, got divorced and has had his share of experiences, but they were quick and not really satisfying.

If I think about Robert, the birdman, grading Grey's sexual performance after every time they hooked up - yeah, I don't think it was satisfying.

This was my Grey.

"God, look at those legs. The way his thigh muscles bunch and flex as he moves up the stairs, ngh."

...Holy shit, I know, I knooow. 😏

Grey goes on a road trip with Quinn, the trip he wanted to take his son on, but Josh, the son, cancelled and Quinn was eager to tag along.
Quin has always been there, stopping by, talking to Grey and even spending his birthday with him, when Josh bailed, now that was beautiful, with those two cupcakes.

When they're travelling, Quinn takes his shot. He has Grey to himself for 2 weeks, Grey, who has absolutely no idea Quinn's been in love with him for years , not only that, Quinn is 19, so barely out of high school, which obviously many readers found predatory, but the way the story's developed, it was clear there were no innapropriate feelings from Grey when Quinn was a minor .

And what appeared to be a teenage crush, lingers there and it's strong even at 19 for Quinn.

The chemistry was very palpable and I absolutely loved Quinn, his determination and intenal monologues when he was trying to seduce Grey and making him realize he's not going anywhere, that this is exactly what he wants .

"Fuck, just hold my hand, Grey. I've been waiting for years for this. For you."

🌶️ They have absolutely amazing, incredible sex and what I completely appreciated was the younger MC being a top and the older MC being a bottom - a very loud one, I loved the moaning and screaming .

Their first time having sex was *chef's kiss*.

Things get awkward and hilarous when Josh catches Quinn giving a BJ to his dad 😄 and the days that follow were terrible emotionally for both Grey and Quinn, their heartbreak and desire for each other was enormous and it didn't really take long for them to come together again. There was some angst, but it was resolved pretty soon.

The story ends with two wonderful epilogues, I appreciated the one after 4 years.

What makes this story so much better from the others with this trope I've read so far?

It's really funny.

Both MCs are two wonderful individuals, especially Quinn, who knows exactly who and what he wants, not apologizing for any of it.

I really liked Quinn. Despite him being much younger, he's a mature young adult and very deliberate in his actions, knowing what to give to Grey and how to treat him right, I loved his insight and sensitivity about the man he loved.

A wonderful, hilarious age-gap story that I'd read again.

Somehow I could see this turning into a series, I'm especially interested in Robert the birdman's story, it's there, I can feel it. 😄

The plot wasn't good but sex was. But by the 120 page mark I was even tired of that. I don't know if I'll call this low angst, for a book less than 300 pages I thought it was pretty angsty. For an age gap romance I thought things were a bit backwards. Like, why was the older guy so pathetic?

Well, I was at twenty-seven percent and got bored already. So I skimmed through everything I didn't care and red the epilogue. Um, not catching. So I went tho another epilogue and am still not getting it.

All the elements for a truly wonderful age gap were there but the execution fell a bit flat for me.

Grey was written as if nearing 60 rather than being only 33. He acted like such a sad sack of an old man. The talk of blood pressure, body type, and his overall mentality wasn’t endearing at any point. I know he was beat down by life but as someone in their 40s this just came across as a bit demeaning. And for someone he’ll bent on not crossing any lines with his son’s best friend, it took less than 2 days for that to fall to the wayside. I think more build up would’ve been great for tension and then the ultimate encounter.

Quinn was only focused on sex. And at 19 that makes sense but it also made him very one dimensional. Obviously he was attracted to Grey physically but what else?? Quinn just seemed like a super horny teenager with a daddy complex. That being said, he was a good young man. He wanted Grey to realize how much he had to offer and that Josh (son) was being a spoiled brat because Karen (ex wife) was a manipulator.

The first 50% was slow reading for me. I felt like we didn’t get enough actual bonding between Quinn and Grey. Sex yes but talking no. And more about Quinn’s life would’ve been interesting seeing as how his parents were very hands off. And more on character insight, and building an actual relationship then it would’ve been amazing and the sex more emotional.

The parrot was unnecessary and not funny. It just made things weird. But I’m not one for quirky animals.

The ex wife was terrible and a few issues were left unresolved.

I did love the additions of Hailey and Becca. They were great!!

I did want more with Josh, the son. I felt like his reaction was pretty justified. I wanted to have more on page positive interactions with Grey - because that was Grey’s only wish - to have an actual loving relationship with his son.

3.5 ⭐️

Tropes:
- age gap (33/19)
- son's best friend

After his best friend Josh backs out on spending time camping with his dad before heading off to college, Quinn volunteers to go in his place and spends the next two weeks sharing a camper with the man he’s been obsessed with for years.

Quinn has been patiently waiting for Grey to be single and to be old enough to get his attention, and plans to spend the next few weeks making Grey realize how perfect they are together despite their age differences.

His plan is a little unhinged, but I was all about watching Quinn shoot his shot. I do wish his character hadn’t leant so hard into the sex obsessed 19 year old thing, because Quinn was truly great and did want the best for Grey but it always came down to dicking him down more than anything.

Also Grey came across as way older than being 33 (my old ass is offended 🤣). I totally get he was shafted a lot in life, but lord he came across as ancient and a little too spineless. I still really liked his character though, and how much he loved and did for his son despite how shitty his ex-wife and son did him.

Outside of that it was fun and oh so spicy, and in general I just love all things Cora Rose lol

***ARC Review***

This is my honest review for the ARC I received.

This book is everything I didn’t know I needed. Cora Rose strikes gold every. single. time. “Waiting for You” is a low-angst, best friend’s dad, age gap romance. It was entirely captivating and I was here for all of it.

Quinn is 19 and has wanted Grey for the last four years. He’s especially bided his time after he turned 18, to make sure that Grey takes him seriously and sees him as an equal. Grey is 33, divorced, and trying to work on the relationship between his son Joshua and him. Grey is a good dad, but his ex Karen (aptly named) has sullied his image and taken credit for all of the things that Grey has done for Joshua. Joshua bails on the road trip that his dad had planned for him. Quinn jumps in his place. All bets are off once Quinn gets Grey to himself. Passions ignite and this pair is extra hot together!

Things come to a head when Joshua and Karen figure out what’s going on with Quinn and Grey. Quinn stands up for Grey, who doesn’t ever stand up for himself. Until he does. Which can I say, was a proud moment for me as a reader. Quinn may be young but he knows what he wants and who he belongs to/who belongs to him. In some ways, he’s wise beyond his years due to his parents’ somewhat hands off approach to parenting.

There’s a small amount of time that are MCs have to struggle apart from one another but they quickly find their way back to each other. There’s an HEA for Quinn and Grey that’s so sweet. Grey and Joshua also reach an understanding. Cora gives us her usual heat and heart in this story. There’s a bit of the humor she’s known for as well. The scenes with Robert and his parrot are amusing. Winter, the rescue dog, is a total sweetheart and has some great moments. The epilogues are pure fire! This book is amazing and needs to be read ASAP.

2/5 stars

This was boring. It was bland, not interesting and a waste of my time. It was 300ish pages of Grey complaining that he is “too old” and Quinn wanting to fuck Grey since he is horny 24-fucking-7. Also Quinn’s obsession was too much after over 100 pages of the same shit. It was weird and I just wanted tension. It’s forbidden romance ‘not some insta-love story. Grey also needs a better excuse that “I am too old”.

Overall Opinion
This has to be my favourite Cora Rose read so far and it was so freaking sweet!! Quinn and Grey are a forbidden duo, Grey being Quinn's best friend's father, and Quinn has been in love with him for years. The chemistry between these two, as they try fight what is building between them was delicious, and the whole adventure this book was, was such a fun light read!
