Oh no, little mouse, you contradictory and irresistible mystery. You won’t escape from my clutches.

Kai:
He calls himself No One, the guy whose death warrant has been signed. The guy who lies and cheats, and tries to flee.
But I keep on crossing paths with him. With this threat, this elegant mess of soft curls and large eyes. I tell myself he should be dealt with, this traitor, he should be taken out. For an enemy of my people, is an enemy of mine.
Still I’m desperate to know his name, and can’t help longing for him. For this gorgeous man who degrades himself to No One. Oh, he’s far from no one to me.

Phoenix:
When Dad disapeared he took the light away. Left me and Mom in a place where I can’t fight her demons. And she has many. So much drink, so much disappointment—I am a disappointment. I seem to fall deeper with every decision I make, until I’m lost in a war with no allies.
I try to hide, but Kai, next in command to rule the Void, has got his piercing eyes on me. And they can see through the dark. They search for me, warm my body and soul, and make me want things I’ll never have.
But when the war reaches a scorching climax I am given the chance to redeem myself. The price? Everything I’ve come to love.

Infuriated is a grim enemies-to-lovers, hurt/comfort with an enraged rockabilly mobster and his lethal babe. We fly through NY only to have stops in the port, in shabby neighborhoods, and in beautiful parks. We are reunited with the other characters of the series, as this is the last instalment of the Undeniable.

This story contains dark themes, adult content, and potential triggers, though every effort was made to portray them thoughtfully and sensitively.
Specific triggers (potential spoilers): (domestic) violence, dub-con.

“I get to chase you. I get to catch you. I get to fuck you.”

Infuriated is the fourth and final book in The Undeniable series and picks right up from where the last book ended.

We have Phoenix, or No One, a young man who, in order to take care of his drunk and abusive mother and survive, gets involved with dangerous people. His family is broken, but he still holds on to the hope that his actions will let him finally reach his dream and reunite with his father. He’s been played by All Saints and forced to do their dirty work, all in the hopes of reaching the life he dreamed of for himself and his family. Ever since encountering Phoenix, Kai has been obsessed. He should not want this complicated and innocent boy, especially since he tried to hurt his family, but he can’t seem to let him go or turn him in.

“You’re a confusing creature, Phoenix, and strangely intoxicating. When you’re not around me, I find myself searching for you, wanting you close.” “When you’re not around me, I feel lost.”

I adored Kai and Phoenix as a pair. Their chemistry was amazing. I loved how possessive and protective Kai became over Phoenix. Kai has never been attracted to men before, so he struggles a bit with his growing attraction to his baby mouse. Kai tries to push aside his fixation but fails. I enjoyed how streamy it was! I always enjoy a good sexual awakening and first time, and this book hit the marks for me. We also get a primal play as well. That encounter in the club was just *chef kiss* I think they are my favourite couple in the series. Just everything about them I loved so much.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and this series! Lola created a wonderfully dark world with complex and twisted characters, making me a fan of mafia stories and romance (Shameless was my first mafia read!). I am sad to see this series come to an end but excited for what is next to come!

BETA read.

A wonderful end to this series. I wont give much away but No One is nothing like I thought he’d be, and at points in the story my heart broke for him. I absolutely adored everything about him.

Kai..well this is that hottie MC with all the growly, possessive and sexual appeal that you want. He loves the chase, and I personally wouldn’t mind him chasing me.

I love that whilst these characters fall for eachother, they don’t lose that grit of character they had in the other books or at the beginning of this story. Kai will always feel like a sexy grump and Phoenix (No One) a fierce guy who loves to run and be chased.

Lola also brought the steam, that first scene of sex…hose me down with cold water. Lola really meshed all of the plot and characters from the previous books together in this one seamlessly, giving us closure and bringing this huge screwed up family together.

3.75⭐ for the couple, but I'll round it down, because the writing wasn't good.

As I accurately predicted, this was - at least for me - the best installment in this series. The couple was completely to my liking, but sadly the writing - sometimes almost ridiculous - didn't work for me at all, and it most certainly didn't work for Kai and Phoenix.

🟣 Mob boss/snitch
🟠 Size difference
🟢 Both in their early 20's
🔵 Convincing love story
🟡 GFY
🌶️ Good spice; t/b

If I look back at previous books, it feels like the author was somewhere in the middle - confusing storytelling with too much information and plenty of side characters, so many stories left out in the open - but then in this book the almost ridiculous sentences were pounding through.

"Oh, how Kai is even more beautiful from up close, and oh, how that makes me want to shrivel back into the deepest of shadows. He's everything I'm not, and it makes me feel like a Monet painting, splintered and split."

See, that doesn't do Kai and Phoenix any justice, because they were great together , but with writing like that, it cringes you tf out.

I can't say for certain, but I do recognize this writing from somewhere and it's pretty tame compared to that other pen name used, but a few words give it away, some interesting nicknames for body parts, but mostly this sentence;

"We can still find a way to get the cash to buy our penthouse, and I won't let him down." 🤨

Could be just me, I don't know.

So, the story.

Finally we've come to a character I honestly liked, and that's Kai. Kai really is a mobster, hands down. The next in line to take over The Void, he's a tall, dark, sexy work of art who's in his 20's, out there living his life, having a good time and coming across Phoenix already a couple of books ago, where Phoenix got involved with these mob gangs by accident.

Phoenix is a 22 - year old small guy who lives with his mom in complete poverty on the sketchy part of town (you know, with the hobos and all) 😉, so he's being followed by Kai, because Kai's supposed to bring Phoenix in to be dealt with, but he gets hung up on him, both falling for each other and Phoenix, being a really simple, sweet guy that he is, finally gets his happy ending and I was so, so glad to read about that.

🌶️ I loved both, Kai and Phoenix. I loved their dynamic and Kai's development of attraction and feelings towards a guy was done pretty well, when they first started out I absolutely liked the sensuality that was present there. Kai was amazing, he's protective of Phoenix, passionate and intense and my favourite character in this series.

The spice was really good, I liked it, they were hot together and the sex was great. It was great, but of course it had to be finished off with this;

"I jerk and buck and come harder that I ever have in my life as I empty myself in the latex protection." 😬😄

Why? Why would you add that, when we've had such a good run with their sex life?

What absolutely killed this story was the writing. You can turn it around all you want to, but you can't change that fact, it was terrible, although a bit better than previous installments, but still.

🟢 Phoenix's relationship with his mother was atrocious. Their dialogues were terrible, out of a cheap movie and completely not believable. I was waiting for Kai to put an end to that, not get her to rehab, I don't think she deserved it.

"I love you, my son, and I hate you. And that makes me so, so sad, that the drink is the only thing that can soothe me."

Right. Her other wise words of how Phoenix needs to become a man were even more badly put.

Kai's take on this is even better.

"I think of my own mom, who manages a huge family and condo, and her loving, carefree self." 🤦

🔵 The dialogues, again. I mean, I don't know. Cringe, at best.

This was the conversation between Kai and Austin, and they were talking about Phoenix and Kai's potential relationship.

"But you want him," Austin insists.
I shrug.
"You want him to suck your dick."
"Come on, bro." Oh, fuck I want that.
Austin grins. "You want to pin him down beneath you and fuck him bare."
"Stop it man."

My brain cells are dying. Literally.

🟡 That part inserted about Phoenix and his poverty could be left out. It didn't seem like Kai's character at all, and yet he said it.

"He's right, he's a No One, with his cheap-ass sweatpants and hoodie. Having seen the state of his condo, I bet that's all he's got. A few pairs of each."

So in general a good coupling, good main characters, writing better than previous installments, but still confusing.
The drug plot was not well developed and there was no resolve, this dragged on for the whole series, but I see no resolve here. Another biker gang was just thrown in there and there are so, so many side characters here who you're wondering about, but they're not getting their stories at all.

I won't be reading this author again, sadly.

Phoenix Dirosso sits and waits, one push on the button and he can end them all. He’s lost, broken, he’s No One, and he will never be anyone.

The conditions Phoenix lives under are heartbreaking, his mom an alcoholic, dirty with a slurry bad mouth, an abusive father who left them, and himself weighed down by guilt. He has a connection with a dangerous family.

“No One needs to be brought in to pay for his actions. End of story.”

Kai will end him, the traitor, the enemy, the guy who almost pushed the button, asap.

Phoenix tries to keep his head up, it’s almost impossible, the Saints will end him, if they don’t, Kai, next in command of the Void, will.

“Your life is in my hands now, baby mouse.”

When he closes his eyes he can imagine there’s no gun, no threat, and the lips on his mean something, that he’s protected, and taken care of. As if! Kai hates Phoenix and has to turn him in.

All the families deal with drugs and other dark gray businesses.
These business matters are just as thrilling as Kai’s obsession with the broken boy and their romance, with a perfect balance between them.
While they live on the wrong side of the law you can only love them.
All characters are wonderfully portrayed and layered, and even though dangerous, they are lovable.

This was a strongly written, super intense, hugely captivating story, with a great balance between the different events, a good portion of hurt comfort, sexiness, and suspense.
The Void and the Business family is everything and will do everything for their loved ones.
A great end to a wonderful series.

Well, I enjoyed this one more than the rest of the series. It was less chaotic and easier to follow. I also liked No One/Phoenix and Kai, although I had to check out book 3 again so I could do a search on their names for context. There were a lot less spelling errors this time around, although I cannot for the life of me figure out which word was meant to be used instead of "laving", in, "And I watch, laving in every ripple of emotion that flicks through his eyes and frame."

I will be sad to return this book to KU as I will then no longer see the thumbnail with that cover model in my collection.

I was quite disturbed by the use of the word "cripple" here in 2023. Not sure how that made it through, presumably, at least one round of edits.

Well what an ending!!! Lola sure likes to put you on a rollercoaster with her books!!! The whole series has been amazing, full of twists and turns, you never know what’s coming next!!

We first saw Phoenix in Obsession, he was already on the radar of the Void, plotting against them! In this book we see ‘no one’ and again he’s got himself into big trouble this time! He don’t want to be hiding in a bush ready to set off a bomb that could kill the Void, but he has no choice. Until he sees Him again!

Kai, knows the threats to his family, he’s doing everything he can to protect them, even shadowing ‘no one’ following him, falling for him, something he has no business doing! But when he’s around Phoenix he just can’t explain the flutters he gets when he’s never even thought of another man before.

Phoenix is broken, the poor young man is being manipulated and pulled left and right by everyone and he don’t know what to do for the best. Do you follow the instructions you’re given by the underground cult that will lead you to the life you’ve dreamed of, or do you follow this feeling inside you that leads you to a man you tried to hurt!

I feel for poor Phoenix he’s been through so much, and when Kai try’s to care for him he’s thrown because no one ever cares for him. Kai is a good man, even though he’d never been with another man before, when he’s with Phoenix his caring, bossy side comes out! It’s just what Phoenix needs.

I loved the twists in the book, I loved the primal play!! I’m sad the series has ended but what a series it was!! I highly recommend you read all the books and you will find yourself new book boyfriends!!

Infuriated is the fourth story within the Undeniable series and it is recommended to read the other three before hand to understand the storyline and characters within this story.

Once again, I have fallen in love with characters from Lola’s world. Kai is a powerful and dominant character who knows what he wants and ensures he’s gets it. Phoenix is self reserved and isolated - he deserves all the love and has so much love to give in return, both characters do.

I am blown away with this story - this is definitely my favourite out of the series and Lola ended this series on a perfect note. Their relationship isn’t easy, it probably isn’t classed as being normal. It is possessive, it’s obsessive, it’s raw, it’s heartbreaking but it’s also wholesome, beautiful and so much more.

The chemistry between these two characters is visible from the start of the book and continues to grow through out. They may have been enemies to lovers to start with but them being soulmates quickly overtook that. They definitely bring the best out in one another and quickly realised how much they needed each other.

I love how through out this series, you’ve seen multiple character’s grow and develop through each story - I’ve adored taking the journey with every character and being alongside them every step of the way and I am so excited to see where Lola’s writing journey next takes her.

I’m really going to miss these guys. They definitely own a piece of me.

What an end to an amazing series.

The beginning of this book absolutely broke my heart. Phoenix is so downtrodden and sad. He has no one in his corner and is drifting through life barely existing, with the only thing that actually brings him any kind of comfort is music and his sketches.

Kai is a larger than life character who desperately wants to hate Phoenix for the things that have happened in the past but finds himself drawn to him in a way he has never been with anyone else.

These two were absolutely made for each other. The chemistry was off the charts, and I loved the way these two couldn't get enough of each other even though they couldn't be more different.

I am utterly obsessed with the way Lola writes her characters and how she weaves them into such complex, lovable, and relatable people. The complex world that has been created with the series is amazing, and the way Lola managed to bring it all together and have everything intertwined was phenomenal

This book was everything I wanted it to be and more. The way everything was brought together and tied up was perfect. I was so happy we got lots of glimpses of previous couples from the series.
The writing in the book was flawless. I was swept away into the story and felt like I was experiencing everything firsthand. The emotions that were elicited within me as I was reading ranged from anger to happiness to utter heartbreak and everything in between.

This series is one of those that every time I finish one of the books, I wish I was able to go back and read it again for the first time, and this one was exactly the same.
I am so sad this series is over, but I am so grateful to have been able to read it in the first place.

This series has been such a wild ride, and this was a great conclusion to it. Definitely read the books in order so you’ll get the full scope of the tension as it reaches a head in Infuriated. You’ll also be familiar with all the key players and get to enjoy the easy relationships between the brothers.

As soon as we met No One, I needed his story, and I loved getting to know him as Phoenix. He had so much responsibility on his shoulders, and there were times my heart absolutely ached for him. It was great seeing him seize moments of strength but also seeing him rely on Kai.

Lola writes sexual awakenings so well for the possessive, gritty MCs in this series, and Kai is no exception. He’s so deliciously obsessed with Phoenix, and it’s incendiary when gives into his attraction. Their relationship is dark, toxic, a little mean, but also deeply loyal and protective. All the stuff we want from our fictional bad boys.

Kai Carrington, heir to the Void. Playboy, rich, arrogant, red flag, red flag, red-fucking-flag. Try telling that to my confused hormones.

I liked it a lot. Kai was fucking arrogant.. Which is always a good news for me... And Phoenix was a paradox of softness and determination.

What I think it lacked was the darkness in its primal play trope. I was so excited for the sex scenes cuz of that damn trope but... Although they were good, they could have been explosive. The sex was underwhelming, relative to my expectations.

I really enjoyed the final edition to this series. You can really see how Lola Malone's writing has enhanced since Shameless and it's honestly amazing to see; I would say I enjoyed the writing in this book the most.

This story picks up where Obsessed left off and we get the name behind No One (MMC). Him and Kai (MMC) seemed inevitable, they had this pull to each other and, as much as they didn't want to face it, they couldn't stop it and I enjoyed reading it.

Both the MMCs were dealing with their own shit in this book, No One with his family, his past and his present and Kai with his new found attraction to a man and the need to keep his family safe. That along with the threat of the All Saints made for a good read.

The missing 1/2 star from my rating is just because I wanted more from the MMCs and their relationship, I felt like it was somewhat surface level and granted, they do both have a lot of shit going on outside of their newfound feelings, but I wanted a bit more.

Lola Malone, feel free to give us an extended epilogue 😉

Title: Infuriated
Author: Lola Malone
Series: The Undeniable Series #4
Rating: ☆☆☆☆

Infuriated, a mafia dark romance, is the fourth and final installment of The Undeniable Series. I didn't read book 1, 2 or 3 and I know that the recommendation is that you should read the first three books before book four, I still enjoyed this story. I do recommend if you want a complete picture and understanding of past characters and their stories make sure to read the entire series in order. With that said, I still was able to enjoy this book and the two MMCs, Phoenix and Kai.

In Infuriated, you get to learn about Phoenix and how he's struggling, trying to take care of his mom all the while being caught in the middle of war that he wants no part in. He's doing things he doesn't want to do in hopes of a better life. Its so easy to connect to Phoenixs' character because he's suffered past trauma and is struggling but he refuses to give up. He's willing to do whatever it takes for a better future.. Phoenix reminds me of that saying "Not all that wander are lost!" Then you have Kai who is the Mafia heir to The Voids. Kai is obsessive, possessive, and cocky to a fault but what I loved about Kai is how he's so protective of his family. When Phoenix and Kai meet for the first time, Kai knows he wants Phoenix even though he's never been with another man.
I absolutely loved the cat and mouse game that Kai and Phoenix has with one another. Their passion and chemistry was off the charts, plus the sexual awakening they both go through was just hot. The way that Kai becomes so protective over Phoenix is just so great. I loved their connection.

Infuriated is a fast paced, action packed mafia dark romance full of twists and turns, violence, murder, grief, trauma but there's sexual awakening, connection, found family, love and spicy romance. I really did enjoy this book and they way Lola Malone told the story.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review

Infuriated is the fourth and final book in The Undeniable series.

We have Phoenix or No One, who gets involved with dangerous people in order to take care of his alcoholic and abusive mother holding onto the hope that one day he will finally reunite with his father. He was being played by All Saints, who forced him to do their dirty work in hopes of finally reaching the life he has dreamed of. Kai has been obsessed with Phoenix ever since their first encounter. He shouldn't want him especially after he tried to hurt his family, but he can't seem to let him go or turn him in.

"He's got freckles, I notice. Tiny, golden spots in his face, right by his nose. I want to count them with my fingertips, dip its gold onto my own flesh and mingle our painted colors together. I want to beat them out of his system."

I absolutely adored Kai and Phoenix together. Their chemistry was amazing and I loved how possessive and protective Kai was over Phoenix. Kai has never been attracted to men before, they poth have never been with a guy before.

"I told you, I've never been with a guy either, Phoenix," he breathes against my lips, voice raspy with desire. "But with you, it's like my body just knows what it wants. You. I want you."

I loved the nickname, baby mouse, so adorable, I always love nicknames in books. I also enjoyed how steamy it was, I love a good sexual awakening and first time. I just loved these two so much. Not that I'm surprised I loved this book as much as I did, I just love everything Lola writes.

"I get to chase you. I get to catch you. I get to fuck you."

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, this whole series actually and I'm so sad it's come to an end but I can't wait to see what Lola comes up with next. Exited for what's next to come!

***ARC Review***

This is my honest review for the ARC I received.

This is the latest installment in Lola Malone’s Undeniable series and boy is it addictive! You are in for a treat reading this book.

Phoenix, AKA No One, is a 22 year old struggling to take care of his mom in the aftermath of a terrible event that occurred in their family. Phoenix is doing whatever he can to achieve a certain dream that he has, though he isn’t always comfortable with what’s being asked of him by others. Phoenix is a lost soul in need of something more than the shadows he surrounds himself with.

Kai has been obsessively thinking about No One since their first encounter at the port. Kai has a temper and he isn’t afraid to use it. His fixation on Phoenix leads him to a decision that he didn’t plan on, but ultimately accepts. I appreciated how after his initial introspection, Kai really does just accept what’s happening with Phoenix. These MCs coming together is *chef’s kiss.* Kai’s possessiveness is top notch. It was cool seeing a touch of that in Phoenix as well.

Kai and Phoenix have a connection and chemistry that is incendiary. These two are very well suited for one another! The whole chase and catch game between them is h-o-t! They readily admit that they make the other feral. Gah, does it work for them! The dirty talk in this book is next level!

Although Phoenix is dealing with a lot with his birth family, it was lovely seeing him come into the fold of his found family. Other characters from the series are back again in this story. It was awesome getting updates on them, especially Ro! This book is full of action, twists, turns, passion, and suspense. It’s a great continuation and wrap up to the Undeniable series. If you love mafia romances, you’ll definitely love this book.

FYI: Though each book in the series follows a new couple, it’s best to read them in order.

This. Series. Is. Everything. I cannot believe this is the end of The Void’s, The Business’, and The Lost Brothers’ story. Such an emotional ride. I laughed, I hurt, I was angry, I was awed. Each couple had a tragically beautiful story to tell and Lola Malone gave life to them.

Infuriated is the series finale. Kai is the heir to The Void, a mafia family in New York. He is everything you expect in a tough guy. Ruthless, gorgeous, a man who takes what he wants. And even though he has never been with a man before he cannot stop wanting to be with Phoenix. Phoenix calls himself No One. He is caught up in things he really wants no part of but doesn’t have a choice. He tries to hide. Earbuds in, drawing pencils at the ready. The path of these two men cross many times and we learn just how connected everything is.

I cannot stress enough to read and understand the trigger warnings given. While I HIGHLY recommend this story and the entire series it is dark. *** THIS BOOK IS NOT SUITABLE FOR READERS UNDER 18. It contains violence, trauma, and (domestic) abuse.

Kai & Phoenix!!!
Well this series has officially come to an end but with an applause! What a ride it has been!
In Infuriated (book 4), Kai is obsessive, possessive, strong, a mafia heir and a bit cocky, but also can't help but love his protectiveness and (his leather hehe). He goes through a sexual awakening with Phoenix but never gets deterred and goes (more like chases) for what he wants!
Phoenix, poor baby goes through alot, so selfless and kind to take care of his mom with struggles, a past and all, but gets caught in the middle of a war so he stays in the shadows. After everything he went through he is brave, he deserved his happy ending specially with Kai! ❤️ The chase and hunt game they have together though 🔥
“I want to lead my family to more power, drive my favorite cars, come home here to see you drawing and making all artsy pieces, then fuck you against the wall and hear all about your dreams. About your desires. About your feelings for me. That’s what I fucking want. I want you here with me, living this life. Do you think you’re the only one who’s scared ? Do you ? I was so fucking worried about you.”
I love how this series, all the characters had their own chemistry, the mafia world, the cult, the enemies to lovers, push and pulls, action, passion, suspense, spice, plot-twists, found families, obsessive and possessive main characters along with our gentle boys too, and lots of love! Thank you Lola Malone for this fun roller-coaster! ❤️❤️

This is the fourth book in the Undeniable series. It is recommended that you read the first three books in the series before reading this one, and I am going to have to agree with that. You will miss a lot of information if this isn't done. There is so much world building that was done since book one that was so important and you need it. Make sure to check your cw.

This book picks up where the storyline ends in Obsessed Book three. The Lost Brothers ( the translation) are on their way to NY for Austin and Connors' wedding. The Business, The Void, and The Lost Brothers have all banded together to take out their common enemies, The All Saints...and the mysterious No One.
No One who is not No One to Kai. These two first crossed paths in Fierce, where they became enamored with each other and later in Obsessed where it became not so. Will the third time be the charm for these two men? We will find out their story in Infuriated. I'm not going to spoil their story or the rest of the story. You will have to read the rest of it for those details. One of my favorite characters in the series Theo is back, and I was incredibly happy for that.
As usual in this world, nothing is as it seems. There are puzzle pieces that now fit. New mysteries to solve. New theories to discuss. New alliances to be had and new grudges to be made. Is the future now safe, already planned out, or are they being lulled in false senses of security while the real vipers strike? Who knows, you will have to read it for yourself and see, because we have arrived at the end. And however, will it end? I recommend reading the whole series to see how great it is.

This is Book 4 in The Undeniable series. Each book focuses on a new couple, but should be read in order to truly follow the story and all the various mafia/sects/gangs. This is especially true with this book.

With this final installment, Lola has really upped the hurt/comfort and broken character level.

Phoenix. We met him in previous books, No One, but we finally find out just how much trouble and pain he's in. He's stuck between rival gangs and secret sects, he's just trying to survive and is clinging to a childhood dream and promise to and for his family. Both held over his head, keeping him controlled and manipulated. He was instantly drawn to Kai, a gorgeous and strong man. The kind of man born to leads and who exudes confidence. Everything Phoenix isn't.

Kai. Next leader of the Void. He's noticed his Little Mouse before and knows Phoenix is n trouble, deep trouble. He's also a threat to his family, the Void and the Business. But he's drawn to the No One, the pull too strong to avoid. And the fact that he's never been with a man before, doesn't stop his possessive, caring, and protective feelings from surfacing with Phoenix. Sacrificing for their family is something he finds in common with his sad Little Mouse.

Lola doesn't let us down with her characters. She is absolutely amazing at creating and writing complex and deep characters. You feel their emotions in your soul, and I absolutely love the kind of journey she takes us on. Broken but still fighting finds charisma and strength to love and receive love back.

This series had has so many great character pairings with their own unique dynamic and they fall so seamlessly into the overall story outline. This book follows Kai, who is soon to be leader of The Void, and Phoenix (who in previous books has referred to himself as No One). Their dynamic was intense and hot in this story and a fantastic conclusion to the series.

I felt for Phoenix’s character. His whole life and family history are completely opposite from the life Kai has known. Kai’s known violence due to the nature of the business and organization but he has had people around him that have cared and supported him. Phoenix has led a life of guilt, empty promises and he’s been trying to keep his head above water for him and his toxic mother. His entry into Kai’s life is chaotic because it conflicts with his sense of duty for the what he should do versus what his instinct is telling him to do by protecting Phoenix.

The buildup in spice is definitely hot and the author does a great job in this first time/awakening story. Kai is possessive and intense in his discovery of his feelings for Phoenix. There’s no middle ground for him and he’s all in when it comes to this and I really enjoyed that about his character. There were some twists and surprises that I didn’t see coming and it kept me on the edge until the very end.

I loved how the author concluded and wrapped up the series. I am always sad to see a series end and enjoyed seeing all the characters I’ve enjoyed reading be part of this last book. This series has taken me for a ride and I’ve absolutely enjoyed it.

In this book, we finally learn who the mysterious No One is. His name is Phoenix, and he hasn't had the easiest life. With an alcoholic mother and a father who disappeared, he's left more alone than ever. Kai is about to take over The Void, alongside Ro, but first, he needs to find this No One.

Phoenix is forced by All Saints to do something against The Void that he just couldn't bring himself to do. While struggling against what he needs to do, Kia finds him, and he knows he is in trouble. After Kai removes the threat from his hands, he runs! Leaving Kai with even more questions.

Kai tracks him down to a crappy apartment that he shares with his rude, alcoholic mother. After sneaking in, he waits in the shadows for his little mouse. At first, you'd think Kai was a threat using his gun to get answers from No One. But once he gets up close and personal, the tension in the room goes from that of fear to sexual.

-I press the muzzle against his lips. He turns me on and pisses me off, comes across as loyal but is a treacherous, little fuck. “Open your mouth,” I rasp. He blinks, then slowly, ever so slowly, he does just that, parting his lips for me. ...sliding my gun into the beautifully o-shaped opening his lips have created for me. Yet I do, and we both let out a groan when it slides inside.

A great conclusion to the series! I love broken boys who just try doing the right thing even if its the opposite. Phoenix deserves everything and Kai is just the guy to give it to him!

Lola Malone brings it in this fourth and final installment of The Undeniable series. She saved the best for last, and I’m pleased with the way she wraps up this thrilling mafia story. I love its edge, the danger, and the risk overlying everything, which is something consistent throughout the series. As is a reoccurring theme and called out many times, everything really is connected.

Kai and Phoenix are definitely my favorite couple, probably because I felt the most connected to every phase of their relationship. I also enjoyed their forbidden attraction and how drawn they are to one another despite wishing it to be otherwise. It’s satisfying watching them fight and finally give into those feelings in a sexual awakening trope that really hits all the marks.

In and amongst the organized crime, this story tackles some heavier themes, including survivor’s guilt, grief, abuse and neglect. Most are centered around Phoenix, and it’s difficult to watch him navigate his situation and endure that treatment. If any of these topics is difficult for you, please take care while reading.

At times, the story does lag a bit for me, but it’s never long before the action picks up and the story starts moving. I think it’s partly me being impatient to reach the finish line, but it also seems intended to convey the danger Phoenix is in and the stress he’s under waiting for the other shoe to drop. Either way, I can definitely chalk it up to personal preference, and the pace will probably work for many readers.

*I voluntarily read a complimentary copy of this book*

“Hi there, baby mouse. Told you I’d come back.”

Infuriated is book 4 in the Undeniable Series and tells the story of Kai and Phoenix.

Phoenix has a tough life - he's mixed up in some things that are putting him in danger. But he's doing it all in the hopes of a better life - a dream he's chasing. He'd rather be drawing, creating art. And, he longs to belong, to have someone who cares for and loves him.

His path crosses with the dangerous, (and super sexy) Kai, member of The Void. You need to read the first three books to see why their paths cross and why Kai really shouldn't be involved with Phoenix.

But Kai gets what he wants. He sets his sight on the shy, reserved Phoenix and there is no going back for him.

Phoenix may have always felt he was No One but to Kai, he is someone.

I loved the connection they had. How Kai become so protective of Phoenix. They were great together. The plot is fast moving and action packed - what I've come to love about Lola's series. There's focus on the growing relationship but also on the events going on between the various players.

I also thoroughly enjoyed sneak peeks of the other couples. Especially Austin and Connor.

Finally, one of my fave tropes is found family and Lola has plenty of that in these books. The way The Void, The Business and Les Frères Perdus all come together as one powerful organisation, working together was brilliant!

I was absolutely excited to go back into this world for the conclusion to the high octane ride the author started with the first book and I was not disappointed! I throughly enjoyed the journey the author takes us on keeping true to the expected hi-action, possessive lust, fast clip and a series of plot twists that you don’t see coming, showing you how everything is connected.

Expect:

- Romantic Suspense
- Criminal organisations making alliances and war
- Our favourite cult from France
- Enemies to lovers
- Hurt comfort
- Sexual awakening
- Dirty talk
- Found family

I think for me, this one was deeper on the emotional spectrum than the ones that have come before, mostly because of Pheonix, the hurting lost boy weighed under unbearable guilt, scrambling to hold his life and his mom together. You can’t help but open your heart for him. Kai certainly does, having been drawn and then attracted to him and then eventually falling in love with him and doing anything to protect him when he becomes a pawn in the middle of a turf war between criminal organisations. That ending where everything coalesces is amazing!

CW: Morally grey characters, violence, murder, abuse, heavy loss and grief, alcoholism, abandonment, severe relational trauma, substance abuse.

I recommend reading the series in order to truly enjoy the mysteries unfolding with the 4 factions.

This is a story of extremes. Phoenix is from extreme neglect, extreme poverty and just desperate to survive. Kai is from a rich world with lots of support and security within his family, but they are not dissimilar, they both crave acceptance and want their family's validity. They are both under each other's alluring spell and there is such a pureness about them when they are together. The sneaking about just heightens the intensity between them.  Phoenix and Kai are at war with their conflicted thoughts but their hearts win out. Kai and Phoenix each bring lightness to both of their darkness.
This book has a finality about it, we have loose ends tied up and are left with a serene feeling that all is calm and settled in their lives. We know Kai will protect Phoenix and help him become the man he deserves to be, the man he should have been able to have been before his cruel home life crippled him. People who had the sole purpose to parent, protect and care, in reality just preventing his growth and confidence; sapping any energy and self preservation he possessed. This has been such a dark and turbulent series, each book having a totally different vibe but bought together with the rival gangs. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Infuriated // The Undeniable # 4 // Lola Malone

Infuriated, Book 4, in Lola Malone’s Undeniable Series brings us the enemies to lovers ( dare I say predator and prey…) story of Phoenix, a lost and troubled boy caught in a mafia war, and Kai, said Mafia heir. Tough mafia boss has a bi awakening for a sad lost boy caught in the middle of a territory war? Count me in.

The possessive, enemies to lovers vibes are everything in this one. Don’t even get me started on the dangerous chemistry. And yes, I mean dangerous 😈. This is dark, tantalizing, and deliciously seductive. This whole series will keep you in the edge of your seat! If you like a lil mafia, dub-con vibe, look no further. But rest assured, where Lola gives you dark and naughty vibes, she matches it in emotion and endearingly flawed MCs.

The fourth and final book in the Undeniable series and it's All Saints time to wreak havoc on our men from The Business & The Void.

Following on from the events in Obsessed. Kai is hot on the heels of ‘No One’ the guy hired by Mia (Charlie's sister) to help find Charlie and bring him home. Kai's mission to make him pay for double-crossing them turns on it's head when No One infuriatingly gets under his skin, with his doe-eyed looks and skittish but equally feisty personality.

Infuriated has pushed Obsessed off it's pedestal. With Phoenix's (No One) unfathomable character and Kai's madman persona making this truly captivating, Kai oozed sex appeal and Phoenix was like a puzzle and pulled at every imaginable heartstring! Colour me shocked when Kai's the most romantic one of them all.

The ending made me so tearful. Lola gave us a climactic and action packed worthy conclusion. I can't wait to see where she goes from here after this undeniably sensual, mesmerising and outstanding series.

amazing!

Wow! Just wow! This was a wild ride. My emotions were all over the place while reading this. This was the perfect end to this series. All those loose ends unraveled and came together in a pretty package.

“Tell me, baby mouse, do I intimidate you?”

Kai is the ultimate protector. I love how he has this sexual awakening and he just goes with it. He doesn’t try to fight his feelings for Phoenix and he just does what feels right.

Phoenix, our sweet baby mouse. He is so fragile and innocent in so many ways, yet incredibly brave and strong willed. My heart broke for him so many times. The heartache he has experienced. He’s been so busy taking care of his mom he never really takes care of himself.

Kai and Phoenix couldn’t be more perfect. The back and forth. The chase. Primal kink has become a favorite of mine. With each book I say the newest couple is my favorite but truthfully they are all my favorites for one reason or another.

Please read the trigger warnings. I also encourage you to read this series from the beginning.
