In the eagerly anticipated fourth book in B.R. Snow’s popular Damaged Posse series, Summerman finds himself staying close to home and, of course, he isn’t shy about enlisting the help of his three cohorts in crime. Set in the magnificent surroundings of the Thousand Islands, Summerman needs to juggle several problems simultaneously and each one brings along its own challenges and predictably hysterical outcomes. Summerman is faced with stopping his uncle’s Senate campaign along with the plan he and his defrocked priest partner in crime have come up with. Summerman also has to deal with the return of his ex-girlfriend, Grace, and her two daughters as well as his nephew’s plan to put Summerman’s band back together. On top of all that, Summerman’s grandmother, Mamo, has a few surprises in store as well. Doc, Merlin, and Gene are all back as is Murray and, unfortunately for Uncle Dick, he is in particularly fine form. "One of the funniest and surprisingly poignant books to come along in a very long time. One part murder mystery, one part crime adventure, one part love story; all parts fall on the floor laughing. Summerman is simply a great book. The Damaged Posse series has officially become my favorite."

I've read the whiskey run Chronicles, the thousand Island doggy in series and that being said I think it's pretty obvious I enjoy this writer... I have one book left and the damage posse series and I just have one critique and that is why does no one proofread these books for mistakes of which there are many..... They don't really distract from the enjoyment of this great storyteller but they certainly could be improved by a careful proofreader.....if the author is interested I would certainly proofread each book which I'm going to do on the last book in this series if the author is interested..... They are simple mistakes mostly typos but they are glaring to me....

After enjoying American Midnight, I have been looking forward to reading Summerman and it did not disappoint. The story charts three months of Summerman’s life in human form and introduces a raft of characters – all totally different and ranging from bad, mad, interesting, sane, crazy, with one particular nasty would-be senator who gets his comeuppance in style. Numerous plotlines are weaved in and weaved out with a few twists along the way as relationship and mysteries are resolved. I am impressed by how much dialogue drives the story and the witty repartee is downright hilarious. Do not get in a slanging match with Summerman. You will lose.

I highly recommend this series.

Great story, B.R. Snow. Thank you for several happy hours of entertainment.

(I was gifted this story for an honest review.)

This was my first B.R.Snow novel. He starts with the premise that his main character has literally everything: he can do anything that it is possible to do on the piano, he has similar prowess with unimaginably beautiful women, he has more money than anyone could possible use, he has three months of life per annum and 9 to spend ghosting about; he has eternal youth etc. The result is a narrative that is pretty far out. However, Snow's strength is his lively humour, which is always at play. It is a personal thing, but also liked the setting a lot. Read Summerman when you want diversion.

The story about Summerman

I enjoyed this book and it was a good addition to the series as it told more about Summerman and how everything came about and going back to his youth.I hope others enjoy it as much as I did.

The past is the past

This one answered a lot of questions that I had about Summerman and I was really happy with how this worked out as we got to know more about his family. Nice build up with the other books, so that we already had met some of the characters.

This book was a little slow but the twists and turns where very entertaining in the end I felt bad for the main character who could never have a real life especially with Grace

I love All BR Snow's Books and can't wait for more. Summerman was very interesting in finally finding out how he became a part timer. I recommend reading all his different series.
