I feel like the jungle cats might be over-represented. The plotline is almost non-existent, but the squeaky toy in the squirrel was a welcome surprise in the second half of the book!

I appreciate the lack of words in this book allowing the reader the freedom to interpret what their own jungley tale means to them. I must admit…I have a pretty short attention span, however I find the crinkle pages to add a level of depth and complexity that keeps me coming back for more. The tails that stick out of the pages are a clever pun that are particularly gripping and make the book quite literally easy to devour.
This is a great book, a fitting sequel to the genius that is BIRDY TAILS. However, small bone to pick... There are some animals in here that don't live in the jungle. I'm talking about you, mouse and raccoon...
But yeah, the leopard tail is awesome enough to make up for all of that.
I "read" this to my 4 month old granddaughter LOL. It makes lots of fun crinkly noises and the tails on the outside of it are fun. The only words on the pages are the name of the animals, but you can easily make it into a story of your own by looking at the pictures and describing what is on the page. The colours are vibrant.
My rating is the interaction aspect for the baby and not for myself. I've giving it a 4 as I'm sure the squirrel drawing was really supposed to be a lemur.
Very cute crinkly baby book. Still working on getting Ivy (7 weeks old) to actually look at the pages, and then we will work up to grabbing the tails <3
