The wonderful Chloe’s Double Draw is the first book by Fiona Archer. Two, hot ex-SAS military men (think Australian version of America’s Seals) and one sweet and sassy teacher take us on a lovely journey of finding true love and hot, sizzling sex. *Sigh* Did I mention the sexy, Australian accents… Oh my!!

Noah King inherited a ranch in King’s Bluff, Wyoming. His best friend, Flynn Taylor, went with him to settle in the West. Together they are helping King’s Bluff grow. Their world is rocked when Chloe Morgan comes to town. They knew she was the one for them the moment they saw her. Soon, Chloe’s past catches up to her. Through honesty, trust and love will they find their way to happily ever after?

The point of a story is to have conflict. No one likes when a heroine does what she’s told without a fight. Ms. Archer shows us that Chloe is intelligent and caring, but not a door mat. I love that she has a mind of her own. Even more, I love that Chloe’s behavior wasn’t full out bratty; it was very real. Noah and Flynn are these great guys with their own demons. In order to save Chloe and themselves, they must face those demons. Together the three flourish.

I laughed. I sat on the edge of my seat. My heart broke at times. Quotes from a book don’t always stick with me. The exception was this book. I have five that I wrote down because they were so good. My favorite (you’ll have to read the story to know the full context but it’s still fantastic!), “Owww. That hurt, you freaking vegeminte-eating bastard!” *Dies laughing*

I have been following Ms. Archer through social media for a while. She has a style and grace that makes me smile. It shows in her writing. I’m grateful to have experienced the world she created in King’s Bluff. I can’t wait to visit again. Chloe’s Double Draw is the first book in Ms. Archer’s King’s Bluff, WY series.

I've never been a big fan of cowboys. I know many other women will be wondering what's wrong with me, but it's true! So I wasn't sure what to expect with this book. In fact, I wasn't even sure why I bought it in the first place.

BUT I'M SO GLAD I DID!

Fiona Archer's book grabbed me right from the start, and I would have finished it in one go except for sleep and work. The idea of a woman fleeing her past to end up in a small town where she is wooed by the domineering cowboys isn't a new one. I've read a few of those before. What I liked best was the way Fiona writes. It's descriptive, without being overly descriptive - a fine balance difficult for many writers to find, but she does it beautifully.

The characters were immensely likeable, especially the heroine. Something about her appealed to me and I wish I could put my finger on it. She's bright, funny, stubborn, scared, and vulnerable. But her men manage to work their way into her heart, even though she has her doubts. Noah and Flynn are awesome and hunky. They have their own demons to battle, but I love the way the characters work together. The peripheral characters are also great and I sense that their stories will soon be forthcoming and I can't wait to get my hands on them!

As I mentioned, the basic story premise isn't new, but Fiona does a great job adding her own flair to it, including a surprise twist at the end that I didn't see coming (and I'm usually quick to pick that stuff up). Whether you like cowboys or not, you will LOVE Chloe's Double Draw!

I have recently become a huge fan of both Sophie Oak and Cherise Sinclair, and thoroughly enjoy their ménage and BDSM genres. So when both of these extremely talented writers, recommended the first book by a fellow Australian, I was quick to look it up.
In this first edition of Fiona Archer’s King’s Bluff, Wyoming series, readers are introduced to Chloe Morgan; a quiet, unassuming young woman who has relocated from big city L.A. to the wilds of Wyoming, in hope of finding peace and anonymity, leaving her shaded past behind.
Nowhere in Chloe’s plan did she factor in two heat seeking missiles, in the form of ex-SAS commandos Noah King and Flynn Taylor; two big, powerful and dangerous men who make no qualms about their intention to have Chloe for their own, by any means necessary and that saying no, will never be an option.
This is an exceptionally written story that provides a powder keg of thrills, mystery, danger and envy, while depicting a host of strong personalities, deep seated vulnerabilities, and a passionate devotion to protect those you cherish most, no matter the cost.
I read Chloe’s Double Draw in one sitting and I can’t recommend this book highly enough. I’m confident in saying, that if you love the genre you will be clamouring for more by Ms Archer, just as I am.
There were so many captivating support characters in this story, that I’m sure there are many more wonderful tales from King’s Bluff, Wyoming to come, at least I hope so!!!

I tried a new author for the new year and I'm so glad i did! This story takes place in a town called King's Bluff. Seems pretty cool as it was founded by Australians and so has a mixed culture. Noah and Flynn are Australians that came to King's Bluff to live when Noah inherited from a distant relative that lived in King's Bluff. They're both good men, strong and courageous with good hearts.

Chloe is sweet and rather shy. She came to town to start a new life and attempt to stay out of trouble. Since she attracts Noah and Flynn soon after moving in to town she doesn't succeed. These boys know what they want and do whatever they have to do to get it. This is a fortunate thing for Chloe though since they wont let anyone hurt the woman they've fallen for when trouble comes knocking.

I liked these 3 and the way their relationship grew and changed as the story went on. It had a good plot with a bit of a surprise at the end. There was hinting at a possible trio for the next book between Mike, Quinn and Reagan, which I'm hoping for. The author reminds me of Sophie Oak in some respects. While I don't think Archer was copying Oak's works I'm just saying there's enough of a similarity there that if you like Oak's stories (esp the Bliss series) you'll probably like this one. I loved this first book and will look forward to her next. Definitely worth the read. 2 thumbs up. :-)

2/13/14 - Just finished with a reread. Still a very good read that I enjoyed. I have to admit that Flynn and Noah are very bossy and tend to push Chloe in to the relationship but I never got the feeling that they were pushing her in to something she didn't want so it didn't bother me as much as it might have otherwise. Now I'm looking forward to reading book #2 that just came out. :D

Now one of my top five picks...all favorites under one title! Totally hot, nearly out of control...fantasies became rich. Male dominance, menage, spanking...future, small rural community... There are 38 occurrences of spanking, starting with a little intro on page 606, then the real threat on page 2720, to the spanking bench on page 2806, to one of the first applications presented through page 2881. Worth time and energy!

TRUTH: This book was amazing!! TRUTH: I read 85 % of this book in 1 days because I couldnt put it down! TRUTH: I cannot wait for more books for this series. TRUTH: I cannot wait for more books from this author. TRUTH: This author may become an auto buy for me!!!

OK so I guess you get the picture that I liked...strike that...loved this book. I loved how the Australian author used Aussie words and teased the American versions of the book. I loved the uber hawt alpha males Noah and Flynn. I loved Chloe and her fear of this type of relationship and fear of losing independence because she had ZERO clue about menage/BDSM lifestyle. I think the author did a great job breaking down the truth to having and living a menage/BDSM relationship. We, the readers, were along for the ride in Chloe's self discovery to this lifestyle and major life change that goes with it.

The other plots to the story were "secrets" all the 3 characters were dealing with internally. Chloe feared she had killed someone. Flynn feared he also killed someone and let his family down. Noah feared his inheritance. You see all these people work together to try and deal with the emotions but finding that being together, as a family, was the only way it would work. I loved the plot of Chloe's insane in the membrane step brother Trent. Let me tell you, I was SHOCKED at the showdown they had with him at the end of the novel....well crafted there madam Fiona!!!

I very rarely write reviews. I usually just give them stars and move on. I REALLY enjoyed this book, so I'm giving it a shout out. The characters were awesome, it was a LONG book, but it kept you engaged the entire time. The heat factor was OFF THE CHARTS!! My favorite part was that it was funny! Really funny. There was some one liners in there that STILL have me giggling. I assure you, the funniest line ever written in a romance novel is in this book. I'm not going to tell you what it is, you have to read it yourself. But, haha, haha. I'm still laughing!! I can't wait for the next book in the series!!

To be honest I was not over keen on this book...I have struggled with it. I felt Chloe was forced into her relationship. I felt her character didn't really live up to who she really was, a very intelligent person who was kind and knew her own mind. Yet she's portrayed as someone with an intellectual level, but who is ultimately very weak, who would not tell them to go to hell. I found myself getting quite fed up with the book and times...wanting to strangle all the characters.

The whole point of the relationship, is the Sub who has ultimate control, and its a consensual relationship...this is the bit I found lacking in this book...In fact at times I felt it boarded on rape.

This was a awesome book. I Really enjoyed the chemistry between Chloe, Noah and Finn. I fell in love with the town and it's cast of odd characters. It was a great Story with lots of steamy scenes that left you a little hot and tingly in all the right places! It also has a nice love story with a great HEA! Finn is just so hot and Aussie! A well written Story! A Must Read!

CHLOE'S DOUBLE DRAW is the story of one woman's attempt to find and hold on to love in the middle of secrets, murder, distrust, and obsession.

Chloe has fled the city for small town King's Bluff, Wyoming in hopes of hiding from her obsessive stepbrother, Trent. Chloe is determined to start a quiet and solitude new life far away from the lies and secrets between her and Trent. When local boys Noah and Flynn discover the town's newcomer, they destroy all of her plans for quiet and solitude. Noah and Flynn pursue Chloe in hopes of convincing her that being in a relationship with the two of them will not only be accepted in King's Bluff, but will also be a good time!

This story was great from beginning to end. There was love and romance, lies and secrets, surprising plot twists, and a happily-ever-after. The town of King's Bluff is unusually accepting of diverse relationshipssame sex couples, multiple partner relationshipswhich made the characters and story that much more enjoyable for me.

As opposed to most mnage love stories, this one did not dedicate huge plot points to the social acceptance of the relationship. This allowed the author more freedom to focus on all of the other strong emotions being experienced by these characters. Chloe's past makes her leery of love and trust so it is difficult for her to agree to dating Flynn and Noah. When she can no longer deny her deep feelings for the two of them, her secrets put her and her men in danger. Now Chloe is faced with the difficult decision of being honest and accepting help or trying to run from her past once again.

My only complaint about this story was the seemingly random side plot involving Flynn. I felt like the information and the emotions of Flynn's storyline were honest and valuable, but I didn't think the timing of this information fit well in the story. A minor complaint in an otherwise fantastic read.

Plenty of description above, so I won't rehash the plot.

I think there is some promise to this series because the writer has talent and this is pretty good for a first book.

This book is very much in the vein of Sophie Oak and Heather Rainier-type stories, but the supply of side-characters (especially townspeople) was more limited. However, there are enough 'friends' for another two books at least, so that's good, and there is a sister and some brothers from Australia that could be a book, also.

I was so pleased to read a book with minimal mistakes! :-)

A few funny places and some good action... the Vegemite thing is always funny. I actually bought some of that stuff once to see what all the fuss was about in the books I read featuring Aussies and Brits - it's truly disgusting!!!

Not much relationship built up between the two H's and the h, Chloe. If anyone reading this knows any real-life men, you know this just not the way they work.

Smex scenes were a little too long for me, and I usually read the first one and scan over the rest in case there's important conversation, so I did a LOT of skipping! (I am tired/bored of these 'BDSM' Dom characters in books, but I read the books for the stories these days, not the smex.)

All in all I liked it, I plan to buy the next book in the series.

This was 2 -2.5 stars for me. Chloe moves to a small town in Wyoming to escape her crazy step brother who stalks her and wants to marry her. Yup. He's nuts. She's a school teacher, and at a community dance, she meets two hot Australian cowboys. They are well known for their love of ménage. In fact, the whole town is very accepting of kink. They joke about it. They all know about the guys and that they're Doms...along with the whole sharing thing. Normally, I'd love this story. Really. A bit far fetched, but that's what I like....give me the fantasy. But..something just didn't click. It was a mix of wholesome apple pie small town values and kink. I think the blend didn't work. I like gritty real, or just sweet. The friendships among the men (there's a group of tough dominant guys) in the story didn't ring true. And one of the H's had some buried anxieties that weren't dealt with in a deep, genuine way. Sorta of random, and tied up nicely with a bow when finally confronted. I didn't love the h either. She was silly, shallow. They fell instantly in love with her....and for the life of me, I don't know why. She wasn't irresistible. Or super sexy. I was baffled.

I will start by saying that BDSM books aren't my favourite stories to read, but I loved this book! I loved the humor(I laughed out loud numerous times), the tears(my tears) and I just loved the way the story was written and the overall connection between the main characters and the rest of the characters! Fantastic and I can't wait till book 2!

Chloe left New York for a reason, one that she has no intention of sharing with anyone, especially those in the small community of King's Bluff. However, she did not expect to draw the attention of the town's hottest bachelors Noah King and Flynn Taylor.

Noah and Flynn are part of Australia's elite SAS team, they have been on many of missions that they have successfully tackled, and with their sites on Chloe they have no intention on failing. Noah and Flynn are dominant men, they also know Chloe is hiding something and plan to give her time to admit what it is, but when her home is broken into everything changes. Chloe believes that she can keep it just sex with Flynn and Noah, but she is sadly mistaken. Noah and Flynn plan to keep their little sub right by their side and as she pushes they continue to reign her in.

There were aspects of this one I liked a lot, however the constant reference to Chloe as sub bothered me, it was almost in a negative context. Overall though I liked this one a lot. Noah is the less intense, until he becomes pure dom. Flynn is very intense almost broody, but he is carrying guilt from his past. The story definitely has set the tone for the next book, will definitely check it out.

So I have a dilemma I really liked this, but some parts of it were just not believable and it kinda bugged me for a bit but then I was enjoying the overall story so was able to let it go.

What I had a hard time buying into were aspects of Chloe's relationship with Noah and Flynn, specifically how they went from "hello we want you and will have you" to then be "we are your Dom's" with no discussion about it whatsoever...I don't (personally) know anything really about the BDSM "lifestyle" other than what I have read in these books, but that aspect of their relationship just did not ring true to me....don't get me wrong, it was HOT and all but that aside it just did not seem right which is why it is a 3.5 instead of a 4 or 4.5.

The rest of the story and secondary characters were great and who the real "bad guy" was kinda came out of left field (did not see that one coming),and I like a book that I can't figure out until the end.

So now I am wondering which of Chloe's girlfriends is going to hook up next with one of Noah's & Flynn's friends...I look forward to the second book in the series.

I have a soft spot for certain M/F/M stories (I like M/M/M, too.) Let's face it, I just like ménage.

You also can't beat some alpha Aussie SAS men, a heroine with a creepy stalker step brother, a bit of angst in one of the MC's, and some other men waiting to have their stories written about them. Throw in some BDSM, and you will never hear me complain about the odds of two men for one woman. I also like the whole community feel of King's Bluff. How people care and look out for one another, it's a good, open place to go when life is closing in on you. Besides, don't laugh, there is Vegemite in this story, and, yes, it looks and tastes like tar if you're not raised on it. A bit of cricket in Wyoming, and streets named after Aussie states. All good for this Aussie reader

Nice, engaging, well edited writing. I actually read Chloe's Double Draw every night when I went to bed and it was just perfect reading - fun and easy to cruise through.

Chloe's Double Draw is a contemporary romantic suspense with a menage between the heroine and two heroes.

I blame Chloe's Double Draw for the late hour I am now tumbling into bed (it's 2.30am). I've just finished the book and absolutely loved everything about it.

I loved Archer's characters, main and secondary. I loved the menage between Chloe, Noah & Flynn. I loved the Australian'isms the author wove into the story, they were just perfect.

The part that had me grinning and chuckling out loud - the fact Noah used a cricket ball to take out Anita.

Looking forward to reading the next in this series - Ms Archer needs to write faster! (no pressure) :-)

If you enjoy reading Cherise Sinclair then this is a book for you.

I absolutely loved this book. I read it in two days. In fact stayed up till the wee hours finishing it, as I was so enthral led by the story and it characters. This author has a fantastic way with words, and I adored her descriptions. There were some great twists in the story, keeping the reader on their toes.

The main characters in this book are loveable and sexy. The author manages to make them believable characters that creep into your heart. I can't wait to read more from Fiona Archer, especially in this series. There are people in the story who make me want to delve into their stories and see what happens.

In conclusion, this book has it all. Sexy, interesting, nerve wrecking, mysterious, and funny. WOW is all I can say. Well done to this author, what a magnificent read it was.
