WHY do I do this to myself? I must be a Masochist. It's been some times since I last read a decent book of this genre.

I don't know where to begin with this one. The Heroine?? Annoying as hell. It started good, I had some expectations (as much as one can expect from a menage book), but I was hoping for something more! But No! This was awful.

A girl taken from earth to serve as a mate for 3 warrior princes. From the tame good doctor to the self-proclaimed Dragon Warrior . An annoying girl that thinks she knows everything.

1 star for the book and 1 for my patience in finishing this book.

I think I'm done with the menage books.

This book was brilliant! And funny... and so much fun.

I don't know what it is with me lately, I seem to have this obsession with aliens and dicks. Maybe I'm just a perv. Maybe it offers more then your regular erotica? Lemme think,........yes it does.

Why was this one so different fro the rest? It actually had a story to follow, and it wasn't bad either. If you like Kaitlyn O'Connor and Laurann Dohner you will love this.

First of all, we got three hot guys involved. Gotta love a party, and they're pretty awesome too. Come up with things like this:

“Part of him worried that her body wouldn't be able to take his cock into her tight channel, but the Gods couldn't be that cruel to send him a mate he couldn't fuck.” :D

Nope, they sure couldn't, and worry not dude, because if they did, this would have been one short arsed story.

Oh did i mention they purr? Let that sink in for a moment...They purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Muscled, sex gods wrapped around you at night that rumble sweet nothings in your ear? Scorching hot! My husband is convinced that he does it also, but i still call it snoring.

The girl was fantastic, she had some kick to her, not your average dumb ho. She had fire, she had guts, and she wasn't hypnotized to submission by swinging balls. (pun may or may not have been intended...) She had an opinion that encompassed something other then sex, and wasn't afraid to let it be known, especially when it came to three guys who thought they could run her life:

Tynan, Cael, and Ryder all growled low in their throats. “Do not threaten us, mate.”
“Then do not say stupid shit, mate,”

One other thing that kept coming up in this novel, is her stomach growling. Damn, did this girl have an appetite. It happened so much, I had to pause reading just to eat a cookie. She constantly had her mouth filled with something. (yet again, the pun may or may not have been intended..)

I think the authors should stop talking about their heroines as this skinny model types, I mean, do they want us to feel self-conscious and hit the gym, or do they want us to sit on our asses and read their books? Kinda contra-productive if you ask me.

Plus of course, we have all the necessary cliches that follow a story such as this:

The tale of the giant cock! What is it with massive dicks anyway? An average vagina can accommodate 4.5 inches, without pain, so what the hell is it that you can do when faced with such a gargantuan problem? Ask your uterus to step aside for a minute? I'll agree, they're pretty to look at, but anything else??? DAYUM! Especially if there is ass play involved. Did i forget to mention there's ass play involved?

The thing that apparently all the erotica authors out there agree on is the necessary substitute to the horrid taste of human spunk. (can you blame them?) So always and I mean always, in these novels the alien come tastes like candy or chocolate. Witch got me thinking....

Remember all the UFO documentaries on TV? Those about abduction? Well next time we see a chubby girl trying to explain she has been abducted, we all will know what exactly she has been up to. Naughty girl!!!!

Anyhoo, it has been a good read!

I LOVE THIS BOOK!

All I can say is READ IT!

It's a rich, interesting, colorful world with not one, not two, but THREE beyond hot Alpha leads. One kick a** heroine and an erotic undertone, with an actual interesting & intriguing plot.

I could not & did not want to put this book down. I was hoping it was good, but I was not expecting to get what I got. I am ABSOLUTELY & TOTALLY in love with Tynan, Cael, & Ryder It's impossible to choose who you would want or love the most. That's the point I guess, since this trio of triplets must share only one mate. But it works. Each have their own distinct personalities, but they are all Alpha Possessive, Alpha-All consuming, Alpha-Loving, Alpha-HOT.

It helped a lot that Allie could hold her own. To be thrown into a world that you not only didn't know existed, but to be separated by culture & physical appearances, knowing that you will never ever be able to go back to the life you knew? Wow. She definitely handles herself better than most. Better than I would that's for sure. She embraced her circumstances with her whole heart & ran with it. Gotta respect that.

I loved the unveiling of the why's & how's of all these things. The point of Allie being thrown into this alternate world & her place once she was there. I think it was all woven in nicely alongside the HOTTEST EROTICA I have read in a VERY VERY long time. *fans self* Oh! Did I mention our heroes, they not only growl, but they purr *shudders*

I only have one thing to say to you... If you haven't read this series yet, hop to it.

#Bout to dive into book 2 now, "Into the Ashes"

This was an interesting & weird read for me. I can't say that I hated it (because some of the sex scenes were gooood) but I can't say that I really liked it either.

** PLOT **
Allie is a surgical resident to a prominent hospital in Chicago. She grew up a survivor of the foster care system and is used to being a loaner. She gets struck by lightening walking home from the hospital to find herself on a planet with a red sky and three moons in it.

Allie finds herself being held by a large man with fangs. Only after he takes her blood and she's taken his can she understand him via mind-speaking. His name is Tynan.

They are in a building watching a bunch of men trade vats of something for a young woman. The young woman is about to be gang raped when Tynan removes Allie from it to spare her seeing his brothers slaughter the bad guys and rescue the girl.

Tynan takes her back to his palace telling her nothing along the way. He's the typical alpha 'my way or the highway sexy-bully'. He seduces her and bonds with her without telling her what is happening, or what else it entails. He has a huge dick that requires some kind of muscle-relaxing oil for him to even get it in Allie, then once he orgasms - it swells up to block any semen from leaking out.
(As soon as I read this I began hoping not to read any DP or anal scenes in this book....didn't get my wish)

Tynan tries to bully her into wearing a see-through dress, he takes her to the family dinner when someone slips about her screwing the other brothers also. Allie feels betrayed, manipulated and imprisoned as she has no choices. The blood bond can not be broken and no one wants to help her leave. She isn't even allowed to sleep alone.

The other two brothers, Coal & Ryder arrive and Ryder is hurt badly enough that the palace healer says he's going to die. Allie fights to play surgeon (men are trying to get the women-folk out of the room) and she ends up saving Ryder.

Allie lays into the Tynan pretty good in front of everyone about how he could care less about her and really just wants to please himself. It was lovely! The Queen backs her up also, which was nice to see. Then after that fantastic smack down, Allie is forced to sleep between Tynan and Coal.
(insert eye roll)

The following day is apparently Coal's day to seduce her. He becomes the anal sex guy, in a cave with no lube. (At least all the guys go South of the Border on Allie first)

This was my irritation throughout the whole book. Not with the writing at all.
Allie is an ass kicker "I'm not taking any more chit!!" one minute, and the next minute, she's letting said a-holes double-team her....painfully.
Ryder eventually wakes and he gets his day with Allie. They're all bonded now.

There's a minor plot point where other "triplets" challenge the right to be Allie's mate and another lady wants to challenge Allie to be the Princes mate. All this has Allie feeling like property and pissed off.

*** SPOILER ALERT BELOW ***

The major turn occurs when the Goddess and God who brought Allie to this world bring her to their own "Mount Olympus" type place to talk to her while her body 'transforms'. They want her to be the change catalyst to make this world what it once was before it was corrupted by controlling, egotistical men who treat women like possessions.

The Epilogue was much larger than the typical epilogue. It contained several full length sex scenes and months of "after". It was almost LKH style giving you a huge amount of wrap-up plot in the shortest amount of time possible.

Still didn't leave me with a bad taste. Just minor irritations, which I can only assume the author intended as plot. I'm just a little petty about heroine mistreatment.
I did get sucked into the story, despite the ginormous schlongs.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Can someone explain to me why I decided that reading this would be a good idea? I can't remember.

To say that Allie was having a shitty day would be an understatement. First she has overslept because of a blow fuse, then she had to walk through the pouring rain to work, where she was treated like shit by every resident (as usual), then walk through another downpour after work. Like that wasn't enough, Allie ended up being hit by lightning (which really fucking hurt) and transported to another world. Happy birthday, Allie!
There she is quickly intercepted by a male who decide on the spot that she is the perfect mate for him and his two brothers. And Allie? She was basically like "I don't know where I am or if I'll ever get home, I'm scared and confused, I'm reliving some traumatic memories from my childhood and I'm slightly scared of the male who found me. But let's fuck".
And then they fuck and he's saying that they are mates now. And Allie's like "what does that mean?" And Tynan? "Frustrated sigh. "Can we talk about this later?" Jerk.
I swear, every look Tynan sends her throughout the story is a heated one. Does he only ever has one thing on his mind?
And, damn, reading about how perfect Allie was and how she's like a goddess and how amazing her body was and everyone want to be with her? That shit got old really fucking fast.
So, yeah, most of the book just rubbed me the wrong way. And I feel like the addition of the Gods and of prophecies and of the higher purpose only managed to complicate a story that really did not need to be complicated. At all.

Into the Dream was an amazing mfmm ménage that wasn't just about the erotica. I loved all of the MCs and enjoyed the storyline and world building that went with it. Allie was a very strong h that was able to stand up to her mates when needed but also able to love them fiercely. This will be s definite reread for me. I'm on to the second book now.

INTO THE DREAM was definitely one of the better shared mating books I have read. This book starts out as our heroine Allie is working as surgery intern and people at her job are making her life a living hell. It is raining crazy outside and she decides to make a run for it and gets struck by lightening and wakes in a different world, Arcadia where she meets Tynan and they become mates, but it is not discovered until later that she must mate with his two brothers Cael and Ryder as well, and Allie is not pleased to be shared among brothers.

What I really liked about this alien mating book and what is so different from what other alien mating books I've read is that this one actually has a plot and it is not all about the sex. Each of the Arcadian brothers, or should I mention princes! FANGIRL SCREAM! THEY ARE PRINCES!! has a set personality that you can tell them apart that makes you really care for them and Allie was just kidnapped by the Arcadian's, she was brought there to create change in Arcadia by the God of the Sun, Silas and the Goddess of the Moon, Lumaria.

I loved each and every one of the brother's equally. Tynan is who we first meet and he recognizes Allie as her mate. He does keep the fact that she would be mates to his two brothers from her, which angers her, but I forgive him, he just didn't want to loose her. Cael is the logical and calm brother. He is gentle and kind with Allie, explaining everything to her and is the voice of reason. And Ryder, we don't see to much of him for a while because he was greatly insured, but Allie saves him and I don't know what it is about him, but god I love him. Ryder is the one where Allie soul is connected to.

The world of Arcadia you may find that women are inferior to men a bit. In this world, the women are to be mated to men in a trio. The women don't really have a voice to speak for themselves and the sight of blood and violence frightens them greatly. It is up to Allie with the help of her Arcadian Princes to change the ways of Acradia decreed by the god and goddess, Silas And Lumaria. So I FREAKING LOVED this book! And can't wait to read the next!!

I love it when authors come up with an original and creative story, and Into the Dream is just that. Original and creative. The story had things I wasn’t expecting, and it wasn’t your typical paranormal romance. For me, someone who reads a lot, that’s a good thing.

Ms. Roma has created a book with a great plot, memorable characters that have many facets to them, a terrific heroine that I really liked, and it was written in a way that kept me engrossed.

Way to many inconsistencies and too cutesy.

I love 3013 series but this one is meant for another kind of readers. Not me.

Girl fall in lust within hours. Decide to change centuries of customs. Has sex with 3 brothers as soon as it is explained they share memories each night. No timeline. No explanation how she came out of the blue on another planet really. No explanation early on who those people who can shift are.

I think this was a Siren Publishing requirement to be published. I guess some people like this. Just glad this author has proven she can write better. Much much better

Allison Summers has had quite a day. Alarm clock doesn't go off, spilled coffee requiring change of clothing, late to report for her surgical rotation, overtime shift, and finally when she is able to go home it's pouring rain and she can't find a cab. If that's not enough, she gets struck by lightning when attempting to walk home only to find ... she's been transported to an alien planet.

Arcadian Princes Tynan, Cael, and Ryder Dracor are identical triplets on a planet where all 3 brothers must mate with one female who they have yet to agree on. When a mysterious female shows up it doesn't take more than a millisecond to realize she's their mate no matter who she is.

Allison may be in over her head on a wierd planet of alpha male warrriors who grunt and growl a lot but that doesn't mean she'll be a pushover when the three guys declare her blood bonded to them as their mate. Nope. She didn't get the nickname "Ice Queen" on her bubbling personality and warm disposition. Maybe she'll just have to educate her newly bonded mates and planet of barbarians not to underestimate the power of women.

Overall a total contemporary fantasy sci-fi read that had I appreciated as just that. The plot premise had me interested while the cast of characters had a unique slant that pulled me in, especially when I saw a tag for this read of 'dragons.' Those paranormal beings are my fav to read about especially when paired with hunky alpha alien men.

The adult content is there with plenty of m/f, m/f/m/m relationship scenes. I can't say that I required a cold shower to cool off after reading them as they were more formulated to showcase the actual acts vs the sensual slant. This also had me questioning the instant attraction premise between the four vs just having a viable female to mate to show up and making it work. I did get the affection/lust between them but just didn't buy the zing factor.

The saving grace to this book was the last third portion of the story. The events that happen at that point were promising that any future installments would be worth checking out. I did catch that the second installment "Into The Ashes" is slated to be released Nov 21, 2013. I will definitely give this a lookie.

This was my first book by Laurie Roma and I LOVED it. I'd give it a solid 4.5 stars. She builds a great world and the characters are amazing. Allie is great, she's not a simpering TSTL heroine, she sees things she doesn't like, or sees ways she can help and she tries to help, without coming off as a know it all or a b****. The brothers were hawt, and when they made mistakes they could admit it (after it being pointed out to them, but still they could apologize). I am in love with this book and hope future books are just as good. Some other things that I LOVED that you don't see in other romance novels.... The mother in law standing up for Allie! LOVED this part. Usually it's "you need to adapt, you need to get over it, you need to change" by everyone in the new world. I wasn't even bothered by the kings who weren't accepting of the changes right away. It would have been more weird if they were like SURE change everything right away.
There were a few inconsistencies, like when she comes out of the dream? Whatever it was, the men are like who's Silas, but then when they see Silas they recognize him right away from all the images? Not a huge thing, but there were small things like that, that threw me off. Unless it's like a stupid thing and they are like we didn't know his name we just thought he went by God of the Sun. HA ok anyways I will actually reread this in a few days to see if I like it just as much as I did the first time.

Storywise, I thought it was rather good! It's hard to work with 3 people being in love with 1 and actually MAKE IT WORK. I loved the fact that the brothers did have their own personalities, so that they weren't completely identical. Good, very good.

However, I had my issues with the dialogues during the sex. Sentence after sentence of pure smut speaking, straight out of some porno. It was bit cringy, but it was rather steamy so eh, what the hell. It just didn't seem... appropriate with the book.

What pissed me off most was the main character. A 28 year old, feminist surgeon who was bitchy beyond belief and had a temper of a 15yo teenager who just loved to throw around tantrums? No thanks. She pissed the living hell out of me while I loved the brothers. The girl was an idiot, demanding idiot. Her temper and her ''ragefits'' were annoying. ''OH GOD MY MEN ARE GOING TO FIGHT OVER ME. THIS WON'T DO'' *SWOSH* It was ridiculous. Just ridiculous.

The men massaged her, cared for her, carried her around etc and then they get the blame for not ''doing anything'' while she does it all. This book screamed dominant feminism and I did not really like it. I actually forced myself and read swiftly every second paragraph on the last 10 pages because it was just that painful.

I MIGHT read the second part of this book, but now, I need a story with a less annoying Heroine to calm my poor nerves. And less feminism. And more dragons.

This was a wonderful read from beginning to end. Allie’s adventures into a strange, new world and a new life is full of humor, wit and a smoking hot aliens who have a lot to learn about human women. Tynan, Cael and Ryder are sinfully sexy, the story line is full of twists and turns, and I loved every word.

I really appreciated Laurie Roma’s eye for detail as she laid out the world culture of Arcadia, and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I can’t recommend this book highly enough.

I can't even express how much I loved this book.

Truly amazing.

I loved Allie, I loved her attitude, her logic , she just exudes courage.

I loved the three brothers, even though they were a bit hard headed and unbelievably stubborn. They wanted to make Allie happy and protect her no matter what, and I admire that.

I absolutely love the details and the sharp turns and twists.

Hell, I loved everything about this book.

Sigh... How long do I have to wait until the next book?

I really liked Allie for the most of the book. I changed my mind close to the end of the book.
It was enough for her to stomp her feet and every single person on the planet was doing her bidding. Including her three mates, kings, queen, abused women, brawny warriors and who knows how many more...

Many alien romance novels do the whole 7-foot tall made of muscle man warrior troupe and it works great in most novels but this one just kept bringing attention to the fact that the woman was 5'5 by having her mates constantly saying how small tiny and fragile she is to the point that it was hard not to imagine a man holding a child in his arms while he imagined plowing her with his giant cock (creepy factor at 10)
I had a lot of trouble with the vernacular in this book. I've read many similar novels and the story had great potential but I just couldn't lose myself in it because of the odd writing style. For instance, the mates are able to read each other's thoughts but more often than not I couldn't tell if they were speaking out loud or thought sharing it was very confusing.
Also, the way the brother mates spoke was strange, at first, I thought it had to do with the translator implant but when one of the Arcadian females staring throwing around the word bitch like it was the most normal thing in their language to say I ruled out that theory.
The spoken words written by the mates were so bad that it read like Dr. Seuss's dirty talk, here read this quote from the book and tell me if you get a cat in the hat vibe. (note the use of the word 'now')...
"See how easy I slide inside you now? I can even go deeper now that you are so wet. Now it is my turn to fill you."
See what I mean? I had to stop reading after that because it was so ridiculous. I mean I could have tried to read the rest of the book by skipping all the sexy fun times and it might have been more manageable but sexy fun times are half the book it's an erotica romance, not just a romance so I had to put it down.
If someone edited this book it would be a good romance novel but as is I give it 2 stars :(

Rating: 2 stars

Plot:
Allison is transported to another world after she is struck by lightning in a storm. She is then discovered by a group of brothers who take her to safety within the palace walls. Allie has arrived on a planet where there is a shortage of females and all males are born in sets of identical triplets. The brothers (Cael, Tynan and Ryder) that found her quickly claim her as their mate.

Thoughts:
I'm not normally a fan of menage books as I always end up liking one partner more than the others. However, I thought I'll give this a go, and maybe these books will grow on me. This book has done what no other menage book has done before - the three male partners of Ally are so shoddily written that I had no favorite! They had no individual personality, and if you were to switch their names around, it really would not have made much of a difference.

The sex talk was also super cringey. It was like the second that things got hot and heavy, any semblance of intelligence went out the window. Here's a lovely example of what I'm talking about:
"That was so hot, sweetling. Watching my brother fuck your little pussy makes my dick so hard. I love watching him fuck you. You are so wet with his cream, so I can slide in easy. Now it's my turn."

But what really turned me off from this book was just how lame the last part was. Out of nowhere Allie is suddenly saddled with magic and the ability to turn into a dragon?! And somehow she gives herself the name of 'Dragon Warrior' ?!?!?!?! I mean, everything went downhill from there, and what was a three star book turned into 2 stars.

4.5 stars actually

I really enjoy Laurie's books, her characters are so much fun. Easy smooth read that I actually read through in one sitting.

Allison was really close to annoying me, I had to remember her circumstance. I softened toward her throughout the story, she is crack whip-smart, sassy and has made her own way most of her life alone. even as a young girl.

The males - I love the personality the writer gave each one, triplets but had their own unique quality. The oldest, of course, was a bit over the top Alpha in some ways that was hot in others you just wanted to say really??

OMG I loved Silas!! he was just amazing! Aracadia will be set on its axis with Earther's arrival, they're old ways and beliefs challenged.

loved the storyline and the detailed hot scenes whew!! I ran back and reread a paragraph or two. I'd read book 2 before this book and now I'm glad to have had the chance to see how the series started! Amazing story Enjoy

Great read!

Into the Dream kind of reminded me of the Fantasyland series, which I adore. I enjoyed the fast burn story and was a huge fan of Allie- her character was the epitome of the best kind of person and she’s perfect to help lead their world to be better. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Allison into the dream

This book is a dream that many women would enjoy. Allison not only gets magiked onto a different planet but is in for a ride awakening about how women are treated and although it is better than earth it is barbaric. Allison is a surgeon and stitches up a Prince and saved his life and the Queen is thrilled!
