Hilarious, sexy and entertaining, that’s how I would describe Rebel if I could only use three words.

image

It’s the second time Elle Casey took me on a crazy journey filled with laughter, multiply swooning, off the charts sexual chemistry and even more LOL moments. Few months ago I’ve read Shine Not Burn and had a pretty darn good time with it, but Rebel? Rebel was not a good book. Nope. It was fanfuckingtastic-pick-me-up-from-the-floor-I-can’t-stop-laughing perfect. I had a blast reading this crazy, goofy and extremely pleasurable romance comedy. I feel addicted to Elle Casey’s writing and just can’t freaking wait to get my hands on another installment of this series.

We meet Teagan Cross when she starts to have a really hard time in her life. She gets a call from her evil, whore of a stepmother, that her father, rich CEO is dead and she inherited all of his money, while Teagan got nothing. Now, Teagan is broke, has no family, no job or apartment and kind of doesn’t have any job experience. Almost utterly alone, having only her best friend, who can’t take her in, Teagan has to put on her big girl panties and find a job.

Finding a place to work is not easy. Desperate, Teagan wants to be mechanic in Rebel’s Wheels, but you know, it’s hard to be mechanic, when you don’t know how to fix engines ;) Doing a complete full of herself, Teagan meets Rebel’s Wheel owner. The sexiest man she’s ever seen. Without a shirt on, with musculed torso covered in tattoos and dripping with sweat, Rebel melted her panties off. Oh, and you know, he’s a jerk. He won’t give her a job as a mechanic, secretary, a maid, or a job at all. But Teagan didn't give up and quickly found a way to blackmail him into getting a job. That’s the moment when things change from interesting to unfuckinbeliveably interesting.

I can’t say more. My lips are sealed. Read the story to know more ;)

I loved, adored and loved Teagan even more. She’s one crazy lady. Extremely snarky, full of dangerous attitude and diarrhea of the mouth she’s unstoppable. I was stunned by her crazy antics, wild actions and recklessness, but wow!, that woman is a beast.

Rebel is her exact opposite. Silent but deadly and yummy type, this man is so damn calm and steady, that Teagan can’t take it. More than once she was ready to hit him, just to get a reaction out of him. And I was silently advising her to do so.

Imagine what can happen between so explosive couple! The sexual chemistry was so high it didn’t register on the steamy-meter anymore.

You won’t regert reading this sexy, funny, adorable book.

FOUR REBEL STARS.

description

Elle Casey has not failed me yet. Don't be fooled by the cover of this book 'Rebel' was everything I could have wanted from a hilariously entertaining new adult romance and I'm delighted that I finally read this novel and fell page over spine in love with everything about this book. You want funny, sexy and entertainment? Then you don't want to miss out, here are the rest of my thoughts ...

What it's all about?
For trust fund princess, Teagan cross her life as she knows it has just fallen apart around her after the unexpected death of her estranged but outrageously rich father. Left to deal with being penniless and homeless Teagan must start the journey of standing on her own two feet. Enter into the story her new boss the dangerously attractive car mechanic, Rebel and here begins the story of the pretty princess and the silent, moody but gorgeous bad boy. Readers expect more than a few sparks as a friendship threatens to turn into something more. But when unexpected secrets of her fathers past and a hilarious amount of comedy value gets thrown into the mix expect to be entertained and fall in love.

What did I love?
Everything about this book was fun with a capital 'F'. There is nothing more appealing than a story that can dish out the comical and sexy all at the same time, and quite frankly there was nothing that I didn't adore about this story. Teagan was the star of this show, her inner dialogue and witty insight was a joy to read about, everything about her story was light hearted, goofy and so silly it was adorable. If you are looking for a hero that keeps you guessing then Rebel will be your man, he is described well in the book as the strong and silent type and I don't know about you but nothing makes me more glued to the pages of a novel than when an author leaves me hanging waiting for the love reveal. Elle Casey can write me a book any day and I'd gladly pick it up, I never know what to expect from her writing other than she is able to grab my attention and hold it right up until the end. 'Rebel' is a solid start to this new adult series and I'm sure I can expect more of the same quality in the follow up books of the series. I'm dying to know more about this group of family and friends and as well as enjoying the story of Rebel and Teagan I was also charmed by the secondary characters that the author introduced me to, I'm looking forward to more.

Why not five?
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel however overall I missed out on the romance, loved up, lovestruck, love me forever moments. I needed to feel that certain 'j'en sais quoi' to make me fall hook line and sinker in lusty book love. I also would have liked more from the ending, it leaves on a happily for now note with the opportunity to continue on with the series focusing on other characters, but I wanted more of Rebel and Teagan. With all that being said I'm glad that I finally decided to start this book and I've not regretted it one bit.

Final thoughts ...
This is yet another book that I'm kicking myself over that it took me so long to pick up. Elle Casey has talent across the board within different romance genres and I can't tell you how much I love her writing style. 'Rebel' is equal parts funny, silly, sweet, romantic and sexy and I'm already looking forward to reading more books in this series. Don't wait as long as I did, go grab it readers. Enjoy ... Kisses.

Rebel made me seriously

Which is one of my favorite things about Elle Casey's books. I loved Shine Not Burn and I missed the humor in By Degrees but it was back in Rebel.

Teagan was such a fun heroine. A little over the top? Eh...

Was the story 100% realistic?

But it was entertaining and I enjoyed it....and sometimes that's just what we need.

Rebel was Mr Cool...Mr Aloof...Mr Man of Mystery. But I was definitely intrigued by him.

After the death of her father, Teagan is left broke and homeless. Her job search finds her in the offices of Rebel Wheels where she meets Rebel himself. She talks her way in to a job and so it begins.

The relationship between Teagan and Rebel was definitely a slow build but it really didn't bother me. There was some definite sexual tension in the process. And once they did the deed it was definitely HOT.

I enjoyed all of Teagan's antics. Her BFF Quin was just as funny as she was. Together they made quite the pair.

There's some mystery surrounding Teagan's dads death that provides a bit of drama to the story. Though it doesn't really develop until towards the end of the book. IDK this was just a really fun entertaining read for me....even though not a lot happened in the beginning!!! I loved Teagan and the gang!

It really didn't feel rushed to me. Other than maybe the fact that . There are some unanswered questions still lingering but according to the author, the other books in the series--Hellion (aka Rebels' brother Mick) and Trouble (aka Rebel's brother Colin)--will answer those queestions as well as hopefully give us more of Teagan and Rebel.

Another great Elle Casey read!!!!

Thank goodness I got this for free! At first I was enjoying it and even laughed out loud a few times and then one of my biggest pet peeves happened. I wish authors wouldn't leave stuff hanging- especially when it affects the relationship of H and h. This book maybe covers a total of 3 weeks. In that 3 weeks h has seen H with a beautiful blonde- she is tall, big boobs, great butt, long legs, model pretty, etc. Those are the words h and her friend use to describe the OW. The first time h sees H with this OW he is working as a bouncer and this OW is hanging on him, draped across him and pushing her boobs into him. The H does nothing to stop it and says nothing when OW is rude to h. The 2nd time is at place of H's business which is also his home. This OW is standing closely with and talking to H while drinking coffee. The OW is terribly rude to h this time- again the H says and does nothing. Doesn't tell OW to be nice or kick her out and this is after H and h have made out. When h asks H point blank about this OW he says " she is someone I spent time with, but realized early on she wasn't the girl for me." To me that translates to "I liked having sex with her, but her personality stinks" So that's all the discussion there was on the OW. The h doesn't ask how long ago was this, why is she always hanging on you, why does she still come over, why do you let her be rude to me? Nothing! She asks nothing more! This is an unresolved issue to me. Wouldn't she want to know if this OW is going to keep coming around and if maybe he banged her the day before he made out with h? It's crazy to me and ruined the book. I don't know any woman that would just let that go. I would be like a dog with a bone wanting all the info and telling H he better stop the interactions with OW. Ruined the book in my opinion!

Teagan AKA Queen of files was an "almost" college grad who lived a life a luxury from daddy but was NOT a spoiled brat. One phone call with news that her father is dead changes her cushy life. instead of whining, Teagan makes life HER bitch.
She gets her ass out and worms herself a job at Rebel Wheels as the Queen of files. (Don't dare call her a secretary). The way this girl gets her job is quite entertaining and tenacious. Teagan doesn't do well with the word "NO" She gets an apartment in the GHETTO all by her big girl self. To see her take charge instead of being a stuck up bitch was refreshing. She's one kick ass funny chick. I enjoyed her throughout the whole book. Her bff Quin is another quirky girl and the two of them together are hilarious. But beware, when these two have a sparring of words, keep up.

Rebel is Teagans boss and a man of steel! Hot, smart, and silent? Ya. He's a man of few words, but I have to admit to you... It works for him. Because he's a man who doesn't like to waste words. He's a thinker. From the time Teagan meets Rebel she has a major crush/lust/ wanna touch your body feelings for Rebel. Her libido is in overdrive

And I don't blame her. And when they finally hook up, I was like

Anyway, the story also is about the mystery surrounding her dad and his company. There's some major issues with the corporation, illegal shit, and I like how Quin fit into that puzzle with her financial mastery skills. Quin figures it all out and delivers the bad news to Teagan. Then that's when bad things happen..

Rebel also has two brothers in the story. Colin and Mick who are just as bad ass but more "bad". They bring another fun/sexy/dangerous element to the story. They've got Rebels back and eventually came to Teagan's rescue.

I would have liked to see the story come to a conclusion on her dad's situation, but according to the end of the book, that story will continue into the next book which will also be about rebels brother Mick. So I'm actually excited to see the story continue and have more Rebel and Teagan. I wasn't disappointed with the pacing or lack of speech from Rebel. I found him to be quietly sexy. What I would have liked was a couple pov's from Rebel to be inside his head! Overall this book was funny, enjoyable and a good read. There's not a ton of sexy times, but it honestly didn't matter. I had a smirk on my face through most of the book.
Thank for the rec J'Anne

This book had a ton of potential. It just fell flat for me.

At first Teagan's sense of humor was hilarious. Then it was kinda of immature. After a while, a bit annoying.

Rebel and Teagan said maybe 15 sentences to each other the whole book. They didn't "get together" until like 80%. There was a little drama and then bam the end.

I wouldn't call it a HEA because it was the most rushed relationship ever!

I know there are 2 more books but they are about Rebel's brothers not them, so I don't know how real to take their relationship at the moment.

I enjoyed it. Rebel was hot. There were some funny moments. It's NA. I do read it now and again. Some can be a hit, some can be a miss. Overall a good read.

Liked the brothers.

Sorry I cannot be more gushing about it.

I really wanted to find out the "mystery" about her dad's company but not sure if I am invested enough in the series to continue. I think Quin might annoy me a bit.

Best ab workout ever! Having a bad day? Think you are the Queen of social faux pax? Elle Casey is back with the remedy for anything negative that ails you! Has she written a classic for the ages? Seriously, I could read this over and over, actually, I read it twice because Rebel is pure chaotic entertainment. Sure, it starts on a sad note, but from there, it is uphill, trust me as we risk our own sanity to live inside the mind of Teagan Cross, former wealthy heir, currently unemployed, homeless and now almost college grad. When her cold and distant father died, the step monster got the mine and Teagan got the shaft. The only thing she received was a matchbox car from dear old dad.

After discovering that having once been a wealthy brat is not resume material, Teagan’s job hunt leads her to an auto repair and restoration shop where the silent but Viking-God-look-alike-to-Dolph-Lundgren runs the show. Let’s say she worms her way into a job only to find her heart being stolen by the mountain of a man who seems to regard her as a fly in his soup. So, yes, can life get worse for Teagan, but somehow, Rebel is always there, silent, hulking and swoon worthy.

Told mostly through Teagan’s thoughts and mental musings, get ready for a fast and furious ride through the best fun house ever! Anyone needing to sharpen their verbal skills, Teagan has a vocabulary that could give a thesaurus a run for its money! And Rebel? Talk about still waters running deep, geez, just call me a damsel in distress and send him over! And remember that matchbox car? As they say, the plot thickens…as intrigue, scorched sheets and one feisty woman topples the heart of one of those strong and silent types.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Elle Casey!

The only reason I started this book was because I thought it was set in college.
It's not.
I mean yeah, the heroine is a college student. But the book is set in summer break so technically, it's not a college setting.
And the hero isn't a New Adult. (I mean he's a little old)
Nonetheless, I loved it and it was freaking hilarious with a touch of action and mystery.
We have our awesome heroine Teagan (or Teabag). She's a senior in USLA and she gets a phone call that changes her life. So she's forced to work her ass off for food and shelter.
She gets a job at Rebel Wheels as a...cleaner? Secretary? I don't know.
Yeah, so it's a car garage and her boss is...Rebel.
Rebel is a man of very few words, but when he speaks...
description
He gets me all hot and bothered.
I think that's why I loved him so much. I like that he didn't growl and yell and get angry over stupid shit. He was calm, cool and stared a lot. Which isn't creepy by the way, it's hot.
“I’m not shy. It’s just that I don’t like to waste words, I guess.”
He and Teabag develop a weird kind of friendship where she talks a lot and he stares. It's kind of cool, really.
The secondary characters are amazing as well. We have Julio, her sixteen year old neighbor from the Golden Legacy (the name of the apartment building). Seriously, every time I read "the Golden Legacy" in the book I cracked up laughing so hard I had to hold my stomach. It was a Golden Legacy, alright!
Julio was a cute fella, I wanted to pinch his cheeks and I don't know why. I think he has a Crush on Teabag.
Teabag's best friend -Quin- is badass.
Rebel's hot as hell brothers, Mick and Colin. I can't wait to read their stories in the next books.

Review
Wow….this was such a fun read!! I laughed so hard at one point that I snorted water out of my nose. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next book to come out. Since this is the first book of the series, I’m going to take this time to introduce you to the main characters from this book and hopefully in the books to come. Especially since there were some questions unanswered in this book…..NO, don’t worry…..not a cliffhanger – just an open mystery- hold your horses….we will get there.

Teagan (Tea, Teag, Teabag)
Teagan is a senior at UCLA and comes from a very rich daddy in Silicon Valley even though she drives around a vintage ’68 Beetle she has named “The Beast”. Suddenly she finds out that her father is dead and she is left with NOTHING until she turns 30 and everything was left to the “not much older” bitch of a step-mother. For the first time in her life, Teagan has to take care of herself by finding a job, a place to live without any money or experience. She lowers herself to go into the slums of LA to look for work and is consistently turned away until she reaches the end of her rope and doesn’t take “NO” for an answer when she ends up at “Rebel’s Wheels”. She goes against the owner, Rebel, who says he’s not hiring and ends up cleaning the office and filing away the mish-mash of papers lying around the area.

The antics that Teagan get into are just hilarious especially with her naivety about living in the slums. She doesn’t give up though – she consistently eggs Rebel on about his age and his communication skills. As she spends more time with the boys at the garage, the more she feels wanted and liked, nothing compared to the lack of affection growing up. She also feels the sparks growing toward Rebel, but with his great communication skills, she has no clue about what is going on and as far as she knows….he still can’t stand her.

Take this growing love story between Teagan and Rebel and throw in a bit of a mystery and you have a knock your socks off book like “Rebel”. After Teagan’s father passes, she receives a matchbox car in the mail with a letter from her father asking her to protect it. It turns out the car is really something else that leads Teagan into some serious dangerous situations.

Rebel (Old Guy, Silent but Deadly)
He is a man of few words except for grunts and piercing eyes! For all that he doesn't say, he sure makes up in facial expressions especially when it comes to Teagan. Teagan is "special" and is the only one who gets him to crack a smile and sometimes even laugh. You know deep down inside he has feelings for Teagan because he always comes to her rescue and needs to be around her as much as possible.

Through the book you experience Rebel come out of his shell more and more while having full discussions with Teagan and sharing his past with her. He battles whether he deserves someone like Teagan especially since he has never had a serious relationship before.

Quin (Twat Breath)
Quin is Teagan's best friend and comediac side kick! When her and Teagan get together, get ready for some laugh out loud moments! Mick seems to think Quin is the shit and they openly flirt with one another.

Mick (Hellion)
Mick is Rebel's little foster brother and helps out at the shop restoring classic cars. He breaks the tension between Rebel and Teagan many times. The next book in the series is his story.....I wonder who will be cast as his love interest?

Colin (Trouble)
Colin is Mick's blood brother and Rebel's foster brother. When the story opens, he is in jail and is Trouble with a capital "T". Rebel warns Teagan to stay away from him and shows his jealousy one night when Colin and Teagan go out for a drink. Colin comes to Teagan's aide time and time again.

Julio (Rat)
I'm not sure if Julio is going to be in anymore books, but I thought he was so cute as Teagan's next door neighbor when she was living at the "Crack Hotel" A 16 year old who has a major crush on Teagan and is there to help her the best he can assimilate to slum town.

Perry (Asscar Driver)
Perry is only mentioned at the beginning of the story as someone who Teagan hooked up at a party once and can't shake this pain in the ass. He got his nickname from a dare to put a matchbox car up his ass. Teagan and Quin gave him this nickname.

Wrap-Up
This my friends is a breath of fresh air story!! It has been a long time since I have laughed so hard, sometimes I was reminded of Tara Sivec and her books.

This is definitely a book I would recommend to read for a good love and laugh story!

Hmmmm... 3.5 STARS... An above average read for me.

Cover: 8/10
Writing style: 9/10
Heroine: 9/10
Hero: 7/10
Amount of humour: 6/10
Amount of jealousy: 1/10
Hotness: 7/10
Romance: 4/10
Ending: 8/10
Extra book Details: Heroine's POV. 1st book in the trilogy; others are released November and December. HEA? No epilogue.

BLURB: Teagan; an almost-graduate, has to move out of her apartment and get a job due to lack of funding from her now deceased father who was a successful company executive.

'My bank account has exactly three hundred and eight dollars in it, my father's lawyer says I won't get another penny from the estate until I’m thirty, and everything my father ever held dear is now in the hands of a bimbo...'

Now his estate belongs to her evil stepmother and she has no family to turn to because of her father.

Mom died when I was just a baby, and my dad is... or was... about as cold as they can get.' '

She moves into a squalor of an apartment and forces her way into a job at Rebel's mechanics. Rebel is a mid-twenties, strong and silent type. He's got two brothers, Mick aka Hellion and Colin aka Trouble. With tattoos upon muscles and next to no vocab, Rebel drives Teagan crazier than normal with his indifference and hotness.

'Before I came here, I was normal. I was cool. I was never jealous of other women. I said the right thing at the right time and I never sat down on air. This shit has to stop before I accidentally kill myself.'

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

So.... why 3.5 stars?

'Rebel' was really slow starting for me. The romance and plot didn't really kick off until the 40% mark, then when it did, it felt like it was a little slow starting, rushed in the middle and then unfinished at the end.

The mystery aspect just kicked off at 1/3rd of the way through and carries on for the next book, which I don't understand because as it's going to be Mick's (aka Hellion's) book. Does that mean it's going to be a mixture about Teagan's mystery with Mick as the lead male?

Rebel was dull for the first 35%; no expressions and not much dialogue, even though it was his character's persona, it made him a little dull and got me a little bored with him. He was lovely when he finally gave us more.

I loved Teagan, she was funny, bold, silly, quick-witted and crazy. She gave lots me lots of 'Ha!' moments and one or two LOL's. Rebel proved himself to be very sweet and strong. I loved all the side characters; her best friend Quin, two associates and Rebel's brothers, especially Colin.

“You have Grade-A man meat waiting for you in the other room. Prime beef, baby. Time to chow down. Rawr, rawr.” ~ Quin

“One more chance before I send you to the hospital for a nice coma-cation” says Colin.
“Coma-cation?” I ask.
He grins at me in a sickly devious way.
“Vacation, coma-style.”

Overall, the plot and romance was slow beginning and we didn't get enough of it, parts remain unfinished for the next book who's main feature is supposed to be Hellion. I will read the next one, but I wouldn't read this again. But it had it's witty and fun moments, had great characters and there was some great funny and action scenes in the book that resonate.

My star ratings:
1* Complete trash
2* Waste of time really, but I carried on for some reason
3* Half decent, sometimes down to personal preferences
4* Could read this again, only a little thing is missing, maybe more humour or romance etc...
5* Would read this again and again, unique story, adore this author

Absolutely fricking hilarious, I laughed my arse off through most of this book - seriously it was that funny.

Teagan, a college senior has a life changing phone call that puts her in the path of the sexy, brooding, Dolph Lundgren lookalike Rebel.

Teagan ends up working for him and tries to fight her crush and keep it professional, after all she really needs the job.

Life is so unfair. Why can't he be fat and ugly? Hairy? Covered in warts? At least have a pancake butt or moobs for shits sake

Rebel is a mystery, he never really lets on how he's feeling, she convinces herself he hates her but its not long before she starts to understand what goes on behind his quiet demeanor.

"You don't fool me for a second, mister silent but deadly." The silence stretches between us. "Did you just call me silent but deadly?" I start to giggle. "Oh, my god. I totally just did" - I fucking laughed myself to tears after reading this cracker!

Things get interesting when Teagan receives some information pertaining to her fathers company that puts her in danger and she soon realises that it's time to face up and grow up.

I loved all the side characters, especially Rebel's 2 brothers (book 2 and 3 I'm glad to say) and Rat.

Teagan is probably in the category of best heroine ever, she was spunky, funny and very real.

This goes on my favourites shelf and I am happy I don't have to wait long for book 2.

“Taking care of you could never be an obligation. It’s privilege.”

This is the story of Teagan and Rebel. Teagan’s life changes after just a phone call. After it she becomes poor, homeless and jobless. Making the decision that she will not give up, she starts (a very weird) job hunting and manages to land a job at Rebel Wheels as a “Secretary? Assistant? Administrator? Janitor? Paperwork Assassin? Queen Of All She Can File?”. Yeah...well...something like that :D She manages to clean and sort the whole place.

Rebel is the owner of Rebel Wheels and works with his two brothers- Mick and Colin. I loved these guys. All of them were hot, sweet and at the same time protective and quite funny. However, Rebel became my absolute favourite ;)

“I’m the guy who holds it together. The person who takes all the worry for everyone else and holds it in his arms. I don’t have the luxury to just say and do whatever I want.”

Okay...so I have mix feelings about this book. In the beginning being in Teagan’s head is really fun. She is absolutely hilarious. There were so many LOL moments... I loved it. But then after few chapters it started to annoy me how childish she acts/talks/thinks. For me, there wasn’t a moment in this book when Teagan was actually serious and not making weird jokes about everything.

Another problem is the lack of chemistry between Teagan and Rebel. The heroine actually states that there are sparks between them but I just couldn’t feel them.

It started really good but then somewhere in the middle of the book I just got annoyed. Yes, the heroine is quite funny and the hero is hot but there was definitely something missing.

This is how present tense should be used, to create tension and urgency, and humor.

Rebel was very very Channing Tatum in my head.
Sweet, quiet, strong, sexy.

Just yum.

Reminded me of Fighting for Flight, with the mechanic/desperate young girl with daddy issues, etc.

His abs flex as he shifts his weight to his other foot. Oh lordy, lordy, lordy, get in my shorties.

This is no fumbling college boy. Rebel is a real man, and I know I’m in over my head.

I actually really enjoyed this. I think it helps that I frankly had kind of mediocre expectations going into it, but it was sweet and funny. I loved the characters, especially Rebel and his brothers. The book was narrated by the Teagan, and although I liked her, by the time the book was wrapping up some of her humor was becoming OTT to me. I usually love a book if the romance and the characters work for me, which was the case here, so I am glad I read it.

It's been a while since I've enjoyed a book so much that I read it in one setting. Teagan is a heroine full of sass and will keep you laughing the whole way through. She finds herself in hard times and stumbled across Rebel, who's a hardass who never quite seems to lose his edge. They say opposites attract, and it's especially true in this case. Although the other books in the series focus on different characters, the storyline of this sets up to continue in future books.

When Teagan's father suddenly dies she goes from having everything to being homeless, jobless, and broke. That is until she walks into an auto shop called Rebel Wheels. Teagan is willing to do anything to get a job but Rebel is quiet and ignores her. That is until he see's her at a club he is moonlighting at as a bouncer and steals her ID claming it's a fake so he can guarantee himself another visit from Teagan at the shop. Rebel Wheels was not the first job Teagan tried to get and it was hilarious to see a CEO's daughter who has designer clothes and luggage try to get a job from the ghetto side of town.

I laughed so much while reading this. Teagan was funny but sometimes it was overdone and annoying. I'm sure in a real situation no one would act like she does and it made for some extremely awkward conversations with Rebel.

"We could fix it up. If you want."
" I can't afford it."
"You can work it off. "
" I thought you said you weren't my pimp"

I loved Teagan and her best friend Quin's relationship. They were really entertaining together.

"You don't need luck sweet cheeks. You have the goods"
"The goods?"
"Yeah, the goods. You know... the lady garden he wants to plow, the squeeze box he wants to play his favorite tune on, the love tunnel he wants to navigate...."
"Quinn, you are seriously demented. Go Scrabble yourself stupid, would you please?"

I couldn't figure out if Teagan was just so sarcastic she was funny or really stupid. I also enjoyed Rebel's brothers Colin and Mick. The way they reacted to Teagan made for a lot of laughs.

Rebel was not a man of many words but when he spoke he said things worth saying. I would have liked more depth to he and Teagan's relationship and to the whole storyline for that matter but Rebel was a likable hero. I could have read about Teagan and Rebel's bickering all day and not gotten tired of it.

"You want me to talk more?"
"Deeeeerg!.... Yes!"
"I'll donate ten percent of every paycheck to the Rebel Learns to Share fund if that's what it'll take."

I am not a big fan of rereading a story from the guys pov. I like books with dual pov so I can gauge what both characters are feeling. This would have been useful with Rebel since he was such a quiet guy. Since that didn't happen I would love Elle Casey to write another book about Teagan and Rebel from Rebel's pov. Like I said normally I don't like that because rereading the same story isn't something I enjoy but in this case I would make an exception.

I think this book needed to be a little bit longer. The story lacked depth and there were many unanswered questions. I know those will be answered in the upcoming installments of the series but they are going to be Colin and Mick's stories and most of the questions I have are concerning Teagan's situation so that seems a little awkward to me.

I will definitely be picking up the next two books in this series as soon as they are released. Elle Casey has me hooked and I can't wait to find out what happens to Teagan and to see Rebel's brothers find love.

I accidentally one-clicked this book while I was drooling over the cover. Oopsies! Turns out it was a very good mistake.

My Rebel (she describes him as having Blonde hair even though the cover dude doesn't really)

There were things about this book that I didn't love. I thought she should really be more interested in going after the mystery of her dad's death, but I get the why nots there. I wanted more Julio because he seems like a super cool dude and I wanted more Mick for the same reason. It's a series though so I figure I'll get more of them later. I better.

Now for the positives.... I love wit. I love well done wit I should say and I thought this was an especially witty read. Several times while reading I laughed out loud so much my hubby had to stop what he was doing and ask me what was so funny. Every time Teagan was around Rebel I went between cringing from embarrassment and laughing my butt off over the fool she made of herself. Oh my gosh... seriously. I have the biggest smile as I write this.

I LOVED the fact that despite life giving her the smack down, she does not allow that to get her down and she doesn't allow it to color her vision of the world around her. She's still approaching life with a great attitude and people as well. Love that!

I LOVED Rebel... Damn. That man can tune up my engine anytime! Trite I know, but it had to be said. I love a man who doesn't use a lot of words, but makes sure the ones he allows to escape are worthy.

There's great chemistry and tension here, but not a lot of sex... For those of you looking for it. I thought it was sexy though and I didn't feel frustrated by the lack of it early on. It was a good build up for me. It's a short read too so it's not like it takes forever to get there ;)

It's part of a series and the mystery of what happened to her dad is not totally resolved. It'll be the thread through the series, I guess. But there's a resolution for her and Rebel so you get your HEA and you're not left wanting to murder the author until the next book comes out.

So this was a big fat happy and hilarious mistake for me. I will definitely be checking out more of this author!

So good. I loved this book from start to finish. It had me in hysterics so many times I lost count.

Teagan is now one of my favourite female characters, such a sassy chick with the most amazing attitude and way with words, her best friend Quin is just as great. Rebel is the strong silent type with a heart of gold for the people he cares about. The connection between the pair is instant but the romance isn't rushed.

I can't wait to read the next books which will be out soon!!

It's a fun, light read with some steamy parts thrown in. It definitely made me laugh because I am a sucker for good puns, and Teagan and Quin have some puntastic moments. It's a cute love story with a HEA, but for me, the incessant chatter was a bit distracting.

Rebel was for me a book filled with sexual chemistry, a hot boss and a little bit of a mystery.

The story begins with Teagan a bit of a spoilt little rich girl experiencing real life with a big old bang.
Her Father has passed away suddenly and all at once she is left with nothing (well not exactly nothing she gets a trust fund that she cant touch till she is 30 and as she is only 22 thats a long time to wait). Its all gone to her step mother who she cant ask for anything.

So she has to enter the real world, find a job and an apartment ASAP as although school has been paid for she also needs to live.

She is really down on her luck job wise and as a last resort enters Rebels autobody shop.

And he is a grumpy ignorant hotty!!

I think Teagan said it best with this quote-

Life is so unfair. Why can't he be fat and ugly? Hairy? Covered in warts? At least have a pancake butt or moobs for shits sake.

So after pretty much forcing herself into Rebels workplace she finds herself a real shitty apartment waiting for her new life to begin.

But things dont go so smoothly and Teagan pretty much ends up forcing herself into Rebels life too after her appartment is broken into and weird people are happening to her, especially with the mystery surrounding her father death.

When I first started reading this one it was quirky and funny but after a while the humor died a little for me and it felt like it was trying too hard to make me laugh.

Also the relationship development felt very slow and then once they were together it felt a little rushed.

But I loved all the characters-

Teagan was a good heroine. She was down on her luck but just kept poweinging through, sure there was a bit of wallowing but I'll let her off her father had just died- but it wasnt a bad kind of wallowing, it felt realistic and added to her character.

Rebel- Annoyed the hell out of me at the beginning with his brooding silences, but after a while you start to see him for what he is, a man of very few but all the right words.

Quin- Teagans best friend and pretty much her life coach- She was the funnier of the 2 girls, some of her views on life were hillarious.

Rat- Cheeky lil teenager from Teagans appartment building, always willing to lend Teagan a hand and help her when she needed him (probably fancied the pants off her)

And then there was Rebels 2 brother- Didnt really go into much about them but with both their books due to be realeased soon I expect they're both going to be interesting.

I would rate this one a 3.5 stars- even though I did like this one I felt it was too slow starting, for me the story didnt pick up till about 40ish %

Also I have taken into account that a massive part of Teagans story has been left open. I would have like to have seen Teagan and Rebels story finished off in their book and not going onto Micks (Hellions) story as I thought he was too big of a character to be sharing stories.
