Although this is book six of the series Hidden Pain can be read as a stand alone book.

Eighteen year old Alexander Burton has just begun his first Formula One racing season. Perhaps following in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps isn't what he wants, but Alexander lives to please the people who he loves. His carefree life comes to an abrupt halt when he literally runs into the sexiest domineering man he has ever laid his eyes on.

Gray Victore, the twenty six year old billionaire businessman, who has control over the sponsorship money to most of the F1 teams, is feared for a reason. He's anything but carefree and gentle, and his vampire-like personality sucks the young Alexander into his hold. The moment Alex looked into Gray’s black eyes, he saw something in them that made his entire being submit to his dominance and power. Not understanding the pull this arrogant homophobic bully has over him confuses Alexander and makes him open his mind to the possibility of entering into a very different relationship with the sexy blond.

Gray will become Alexander’s whole life, his reason for existing, the only thought that fills his mind. He is an obsession that drives Alexander mad and he welcomes it all. His only wish is to worship Gray and to allow Gray to give him the pleasure that only he could ever do. The pleasure of pain, of dominance, of being owned by another person so completely that his heart is not his own. He would do anything for Gray, give anything for Gray; he lives just for his touch no matter how soft or hard it may be.

Gray doesn’t need or desire anyone who actually wants anything from him. He's not a master or a dominant, he's a sadist. In his world, there are no rules, no code of conduct or restrictions, no safe words, no love or empathy. To see someone suffer and bleed for him excites him in a way nothing else can. It’s not enough to have something given to him-it has to be taken, forced upon-is partners are all unwilling and unable to fulfill him. The pain is the only thing he can enjoy.

They are bound to each other in a way no one else could ever understand, and enjoy a sexual partnership that most would believe to be torture, but together they work.

Welcome to the home of bittersweet M/M romances which will leave you craving more.

Nicole grew bored being a supermodel genius who worked part time for NASA, and decided to take a break from helping solve the mysteries of the universe with Stephen Hawkins to write m/m romance.

She has a loving relationship with her hubby of twenty years, and has achieved a lot in her short life considering she's only eighteen. She has fourteen dogs of all different breeds, plus twenty cats, and when she's not tending to their every need, and solving complex math problems, she loves to sew and can be often found knitting in the garden, which she maintains all by herself with her magical green fingers.

Finding time to make all of her own clothing and master the kitchen better than Gordon Ramsey, she's also a vegan domestic goddess and can often be found cooking up a storm bare foot in her kitchen.

Okay, so that's not true, especially the cooking part, though I do tend to be bare foot and I swear like Gordon does while burning my latest creation -- and I still think NASA will be getting in touch. Any day now!! *crosses fingers* I could sooo do that job because I'm so obviously awesome, but until they do...

I'm a full time author of M/M Romance and Erotica, and somehow I have several bestselling books under my belt. I've been writing for four years, and I self publish all my work under Hidden Pleasures Publishing along with my amazing team of helpers in the form my cover designer Kellie Dennis, editor Jessica McKenna, and all of my beta readers and PA's.

I'm a wife to my beloved hubby and mother to two young girls, and I do in fact have two cats who I adore, but no dog, as the hubby put his foot down. I live in Leeds in the North of England and I love it, despite the terrible weather.

My men are all seeking what everyone is, true love mixed with passion and their own happy-ever-after full of laughter and tears.

Hidden Pain started absolutely bonkers and OTT.
I almost gave up.
*I am looking at you, Mrs. Robinson.*
But the story, somehow, grew on me.
One of the MCs was an arrogant homophobic in denial.

The other, a sweet and reckless boy.

They met, and it was insta-lust at first sight.

The conflict between those two ultimately personalities results in a story brutal to the point of cringing—violence, obsession, abuse, promiscuity, did I mention the word obsession?
I think I did. 😖

There are lots of sex, angry, rough, wild, vicious, BRUTAL. I think you get the picture, an important detail, all consensual.

There is nothing "normal" in this plot. It's not our typical nice romance. And again I need to mention how OTT it was. But dammit if I wasn't completely fascinated by this obsessive tale of *cough* love? 😖 *scratches head*

It took a good while, but as the story progressed, becoming more in-depth in the feels, I finally managed to see who Gray was.

A few things that did my head in:
✅ The push and pull in the beginning.
✅ The pregnancies.
✅ The number of times I had to read the words "cry out."

None of those things could lessen my strange fascination with this story, though.

This is a very wicked, angsty and OTT entertaining erotica.

So much pain, so much anguish and so much angst. This book was an emotional roller coaster. Alex and Gray were not nice people. They are both so messed up and it just didn’t seem to get any better. Although they admit to their problems they do nothing to solve them. It was a fascinating book and I obviously read it quickly, but these characters just never really made me care enough about them. Oh, the sexy was very hot.

REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCE

This was my first Nicole Colville book and my first venture into the Hidden Series. I was a convert from the beginning and have since devoured the rest of the series. This one can be read as a standalone but if you are planning on reading the whole series I would recommend you start at the beginning. The characters are addictive, the story brilliant and the plot twists are fascinating and this book will mean so much more to you if you already know the history.

This is Alexander Burton and Gray Victore’s story and it is a mix of brutality and love. It’s also a little heartbreaking!

From the moment this pair set eyes on each other everything around them becomes scorched. Alexander is just setting out on his F1 career when he bumps into the Gray. He is consumed by his very presence and trapped by his cold eyes. Gray is a sadistic bastard; there is no other way to describe him. When he first takes Alex to bed its messy and there are no feelings involved for the man who is used to getting exactly what he wants. For Alex it is everything and he quickly falls for the man who appears to treat him so badly.

This story spans years and if you have read the previous books it will explain an awful lot. Not only has Nicole given us a fantastic story but she also manages to make us fall in love with the bad guy. You cannot help but love Gray, flaws and all, and want the best for him and Alex.

This will take you through marriages, children and a world where the normal rules don’t apply. Gray Victore doesn’t do feelings but where his affair with Alex is consumed the word feeling doesn’t even begin to explain the depths of his love or his obsession.

When you have finished this book you must carry on with the series. There is so much more to come that will leave you stunned. Gray and Alex’s story is by no means over!

Gray.... I think I understand you a little bit more but I can't help but thinking that this relationship you have with Alex will somehow self destruct from the inside and destroy everything... I'm so sorry you had to suffer at the hands of your brother... I wish you and Alex can be happy but I think in the end it will all be heart ache and destruction

I was so excited to get my hands on one of this amazing authors books. I had been talking to Nicole Colville every now and then on facebook posts and immediately knew I was gonna have to read her brilliant work. After reading a promo post for Hidden Pain and finding out it could be read as a stand alone for her well known Hidden series I decided to jump in with this one first. Gosh was I so glad I did. This book is amazing. Ms. Colville managed to hook me into this story in the first few pages. I will admit I was nervous about getting started because I had never truly read a book about a sadist. Again, so happy I didn't let my apprehension talk me out of it because this book is hands down one of my favorites of the year.

The chemistry between the two MC is beautifully written. I could feel the intense attraction of these two men on their first meeting. Alexander is so soft and just puts himself 'all out there ' from the get go. He is surprisingly "ok" with the realization of being attracted to a man when he never has been before meeting Gray. I loved that he just kinda went for it with out there being a lot of emotional angst on his part. Alexander does have to deal over with the homophobia of his overbearing father in order to live his life the way he wants. Alexander is such a natural sub and you can feel it on every page. His wanting to please everyone and just avoid unnecessary conflict will make you mad at times. This is just him 110%.

Now Gray is most definitely all alpha and hard core. He has always used sadism as a way to hide what he really wants--A MAN--. Gray has had some major turmoil in his childhood and it hinders with him just being able to let go emotionally. I could feel myself falling for him instantly. The emotional hesitance from Gray is portrayed magnificently. He is most definitely a DOM and needs to have control but when Alexander comes into his life he is one ball of confusion. Gray's journey to self acceptance will leave you pissed off and have you wanting to cry at the same time. I loved it!!

The sex between these two men is so addicting. OMG, I couldn't get enough! The scenes are off the sex-O-meter HOT and sometime so intense that you will be panting!! It is so raw and jaw dropping for sure.

If you haven't had the pleasure of reading hot intense journey to never ending love then I suggest you go get this book. You won't regret it at all. I know I will be checking out the other books in this series and can't wait. I am totally a forever fan of Nicole Colville and can't wait for more. So go one-click this today everyone!

What can I say about this book, other than it wasn't long enough? Well let's think.

It will take you on a the journey of two men, neither of who have had relationships with men before, but their attraction to each other causes a spark which turns into a fully fledged fire that burns over many years.

Alex is young and doesn't know why he wants Gray in this way, then there is Gray *fans self* who is a self confessed Sadist who tries to warn Alex off. Thankfully Alex doesn't listen, and they both battle with demons and obstacles that mean that they can be together.

There are so many twists and turns in this story and from the first time he was mentioned I LOVED GRAY, which I understand alot of people don't admit to, but I am a fully fledged member of the Gray Victore fan club and would love to hear from him.

The emotions the charactes portray are real, and you feel each and every twist and turn of the story with them, my heart soared and fell with theirs and I even shed a few tears along the way.

Alex and Gray are a couple that you cannot help but fall in love with.

Don't be put off by the fact Gray says he is a sadist, this isn't a major factor in their story, or not one that is fully described by Alex I think he doesn't like to share that side of their relationship even with us ;-)

I would highly reccommend this, and it has given me a background into the other characters in the series and I will be reading on knowing more about them and where they came from, which is always a good thing.

Cannot wait for more from Mr Victore and Ms Colville.

A surprisingly credible tale of 2 bisexual, married men with children, who are engaging in a heavy sado masochistic relationship with the full knowledge and acceptance of each one’s family. This is brought about by Alex frequently appearing battered and bruised in front of his father, wife and other family members.

Granted, if I were to read that in a blurb, I’d pass on the book thinking it couldn’t be anything but preposterous, but trust me, Nicole Colville pulls it off seamlessly. She also burns up quite a few pages with some of hottest sex I’ve read in a long time while she’s at it. Prior to reading this, I couldn’t conceive of family drama intertwined with highly erotic BDSM but this book had me from the get-go.

With well drawn characters and believable circumstances, growing relationships develop between the families as they picnic together, watch each other’s children, etc. The book takes place over the span of a few years, giving it an epic quality as well as an intensely personal one. So personal in fact, that I strongly recommend having at least one box of Kleenex at hand while reading. You’ll need it.

The book reads like bad fanfiction, very silly descriptions, too much hair twisting and lip biting in the first two pages.

"I drag my finger through my ear-length, black hair and twist it as I nervously bite my bottom lip"
5th line in the book, the MC staring at himself in the mirror.

"I quickly flutter my eyes over his strong features; big fucking black eyes, obviously, which are surrounded by long thick blond eyelashes, his thick honey blond hair has a smart short haircut, and he has full pouty lips which are thinning out into a snarl at his impatience over my moronic look."

"I twist my hair in my fingers, biting my bottom lip hard and try to stop looking into his black eyes."
Yep, not even a page later, more lip biting hair twisting.

This is not even the worse, the first two pages are filled with what would be unnecessary looks and outfits descriptions (if only the author was capable of the most basic "show don't tell"), and the most obnoxious interactions and unrealistic conversations between the MC, his father and what I imagine it'll become the LI.

Just DNF.

Gotta say i have a love hate relationship with this story
I can't believe i read this long story and was excited to finish it till the end but i dislike it ,,,
It's a first book in this series for me and now i know who scot and jamie are and already know i their story gonna draining me too
Yes this kind of story is draining
The not comitment and unfaithfulness (they call it open relationship in modern way)in this story is not lovely , angel is too young and to have that much babies before he getting 21-22 was kinda disgusting , really disgusting like plz know the concept of condom , atleast gray was more logical in to this , anyway i gotta read their next story , and the story of threesome of jamie and scot which i know how i will feel 😂😅

Yikes. The most complicated disgusting toxicity in another level I have ever seen. This couple is batshit crazy and I mean it. The level of uneasy I felt watching this. Watching both MCS when they were worst guys to ever exist. I am sorry but they're never gonna end up happily. Even if they end up together it's gonna end up in destroying each other at the end of the day till they die. Like I understand toxicity level yk the feeling that yes they're gonna end up tgth after the book too. Hell I am not even sure if I trust Gray lmao. Anyway it was angsty as hell. If you like messy and complicated relationship you can't even name yeah this is smth you might wanna try. Not that I hate messy relationship but this wasn't for me. And their wives. Poor wives ugh.

Hmmmmm

I am a little irritated. This book was ups and downs for me. I was slightly confused in the beginning, very confused with the series books, and a little annoyed with Alex and Grey. I love both of them but at certain points they were so annoying. The sex was HOT HOT HOT. I loved it. Honestly this probably would have been a five star except for the epilogue. I don’t mean to say anything but after the angst and ups and downs in this book I wanted a happy fucking ending. So for Alex to complain about him and Greg looking at other men. I just don’t like it. How’s rly the epilogue was so bad. I’m still a little irritated.

This book is off the charts. It’s crude and sexy all at the same time. It’s not for everyone so just know that going in. This 10 book series was fantastic to me. I couldn’t put it down. I am still hoping the other books that were mentioned come out but it’s been a long time.

So Dark So Good

This book was so dark. Alex and Gray together was toxic. The things Gray did to Alex made me cringe. But I couldn't stop reading this book. Alex loved the things Gray did to him. They really did love each other. Good book.

I'm quite amazed that the author could not only make me like Gray, but made me love and understand his character so well that the events of the previous books become so much more tragic. So far, this is my favorite of the series.

It can be read as a standalone, but I highly suggest reading the series in order. It will make the books that much more powerful to see how the events of the past influence those of the future. Had I not known what's already happened, I probably would not like this book near as much as I do.

I was expecting this story to be a quick read, but it had so much more depth than I expected. I really appreciated seeing the love story between Grey and Alex play out, while keeping their public appearances intact. It's not a perfect relationship by all means, but it works for them. Some parts of their relationship seem mutually toxic, but for some reason it works in the book. It was a fascinating story to read, especially learning more about their pasts and their familial relationships. Didn't expect much from this book, but I was quite pleasantly surprised.
