Park Avenue Princes #1

Infamous Park Avenue Prince

Rate this book
Who are we? Like you even need to ask. We’re the seven richer-than-sin legacies causing debauchery at the prestigious Astor University in Manhattan.
Some call us spoiled.
Some call us trouble.
But everyone calls us the Park Avenue Princes.

Weston LaRue
“The Playboy”

I’m never one to turn down a bet. Especially not when it comes to retaliating against the dean for pulling a dick move before summer break.
So when the dean’s golden child arrives at Astor for his freshman year, my fellow troublemakers throw down a wager I can’t resist.

The target: the dean’s son, John Thomas Hawthorne, or “JT.”
The bet: corruption in any way I choose.

It should’ve been easy. With his mess of brown curls, pouty lips, and good-boy reputation, JT is the perfect revenge. And even better? He’s straight.

Challenge accepted. I’ll do whatever it takes to prove a point, no matter how reckless it might be.

Game. On.

Infamous Park Avenue Prince is the first standalone novel in the Park Avenue Princes world.

I’m probably the odd one here but this was meh. West had absolutely no charm or redeeming qualities-no depth or layers, what you see is what you get : an asshole for 80% of the book. I have no idea what did JT see in him because all he ever did was thinking how to get into his pants or actually trying to get into his pants (winning the bet). No remorse, no obvious kindness or clues that he’s falling for JT..Not until after he was caught. And what’s weird is that he,or the group in general were bastards without a reason whatsoever. At least West. He had a normal family, no trauma or a hard life. Just the regular rich spoiled asshole who hurts ppl for no reason. Not even the grand gesture could redeem him, as cute as it was because Caleb did all the work for him lol
It was an entertaining read and not badly written but it wasn’t swoony or romantic .
Also, no thank you to the next book-assuming it’s East’s book. That dude was so despicable that I don’t even care for his redemption. I just want him to grow old alone and miserable.

Editing, because WHO WAS SHEEEEEE??? Rounding this up to 3??? 💀
Um no. NAY NAY /insert aggressive finger waggle here.
None of that behaviour is left for me in mid 2024. We only round down now 💅🏼 because I think there are good /okayish books out there that can deserve a 3 star position on the podium. 🥉 and this ain’t one of them.

It’s been so long since I read this book, and when I think about the microfibre cloth that is wearing clothes and pretending to be the bad boy MC of this book…. I remember that during his ”villain redemption arc” he performs a poem at an event to show that he cares for the other mc (I think it’s a comedy club/bar that the guy really likes and he’s into that stuff from what I remember)
But then it comes to light, THAT HE DIDNT EVEN FUCKING WRITE THE POEM HE PERFORMED???
He got someone else to do it????
Tell me you don’t give a fuck about someone, without telling me you don’t give a fuck about someone. 🤢🤢🤢🤢
Microfibre cloth ass mf. Ew.

Old review: I'm gonna go with 2.5 ⭐ rounded up, because this book was like one of those awful, train wreck tv shows that you know is awful but you kinda need to know what happens in the next episode? Nek minnut, you've watched 256 seasons... So like yes, I will probably read the next book at some point... BUT...

I'VE SAID IT ONCE AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN, WEST IS A LITERAL MICROFIBRE CLOTH 🤢🤢🤢

The whole rich asshole/wholesome boy trope thing doesn't work UNLESS the rich guy gets in touch with reality throughout the book or reduces some rich privilege/perspective in place for some wholesome goodness, usually due to the other cute MC??

This did not happen in this book... West did one nice thing to imply he may try to come down from his high horse... but the rest of his redeeming was more like "because I fell inlove with you that makes me good person"??? um no Gary.. it doesn't work like that..

West literally did nothing to deserve JT.
I said what I said.
Please don't hate me <3

I really, really loved this.

Completely agree with the comments I've seen saying it's like Cruel Intentions and Gossip Girl had a baby, and as a fan of both of those I was definitely in my element. East was clearly Chuck Bass inspired, and he was always my favourite Gossip Girl character so I'm really hoping he gets a book.

My only annoyance was that it ended too soon! I could have kept reading about West and JT for a lot longer. I'd also liked to have seen more after they got back together because their dates sounded really fun - the food/film one is definitely something I'd love to do myself - and I just wanted more of them.

I'm intrigued who the next book will be about because we didn't see all that much of the other 'princes', but I'm looking forward to it.

I really enjoyed this opposite attract romance between West and JT. West is a spoiled entitled rich guy who has no regard for authority. JT is the son of the dean who is studious and shy. Together they force the other outside their comfort zone. Unfortunately, their romance has one minor hiccup and that is the bet West placed at the beginning of the semester. This bet causes many complications for this pairing and eventually leads to a dramatic fallout.

I was so invested in their relationship that the eventual derailment was tough to see but necessary for their relationship. West's groveling and big grand gesture was probably my favorite scene in the story. He really showed his growth and maturity by admitting to his faults.

Overall this is a fun read with an interesting setting. The characters provide a lot of entertainment. I look forward to the next entry.

⭐︎ 4.75 "I Think This Might Be The Best Book These Two Have Ever Written Together" Rounded Up Stars ⭐︎

I absolutely fucking loved this.

I truly think this was the best book these two have ever written together. The chemistry between West and JT was just off the fucking charts from the get go.

I'm also kinda totally a sucker for the "bet" trope and this did it so well. I fucking loved West being arrogant prick who didn't really think about anyone but himself until he fell for JT and had to do some groveling.

I had to fan myself during their sex scenes too, their passion for each other was just SO much and SO intense and I absolutely loved it.

I also devoured this from beginning to end and couldn't put it down. I was invested in these characters from the jump. In real life I would absolutely hate these Park Avenue Princes, 100%, but I just love seeing someone like West falling head over heels for JT, and he learns a lesson or two in the process.

He's probably always going to be a arrogant, but being with JT tempers a lot of that, and I think what happens makes West a little more thoughtful than before. At least he'll think twice now before doing anything shitty or stupid.

My only real reason for the .25 stars off is that I would have loved an epilogue with these two. It ends just as they get back together and it is wonderful, but I just wanted to see them settled into being a real couple now, no pretenses anymore. I guess we'll see it in the next book, sure, but just as background characters. I wanted a chapter focused on them together, is all.

Also, JT is better than me because I would not forgive so easily, even after West making himself vulnerable and laying his heart bare for him. I commend him for that, because I'd need a lot more to trust someone after that. But also I did like that he didn't just immediately forgive West, even after West properly apologized and explained himself. Like yes, make him work for it! I just know I would make him work even more for it lol.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend this! Seriously, it was so so good. And I think if these ladies kept to full length novels instead of splitting them into three novellas, it would work even better for them. Getting the full story in one sitting is just so much better. I imagine this book split into three and it would have driven me crazy. It's the whole of their story together that made me give this such high marks.

Also, no silly cliffhangers clearly manufactured to keep the reader tuned into the next book, and those haven't always worked with these ladies' books. So to not have those too was a huge plus.

I think aside from my faves, Logan and Tate in the Try series, this is the best book I've read from these authors.

I can't wait for the next one in the series. Probably - hopefully - going to be a delicious enemies-to-lovers one between Travis and Caleb. Can't wait! 😋

"Somehow this golden boy had slipped in past my defences and made me so territorial that I wanted to stamp the word mine on his chest."

Ummm, yes please! Infamous Park Avenue Prince by the fabulous duo Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine was everything I need in a MM romance.

The chemistry between these two - mega-rich college playboy JT and the college dean's son West, middle class but without a chip on his shoulder, who's "gorgeous, sweet, innocent. And straighter than the pressed pants hanging in your closet" - was off the scale.

Love all the side characters (can't wait to get the next Prince's story in Insatiable Park Avenue Prince) and the writing style too. Such an easy read, it left me with a huge smile on my face.

You'll enjoy this one if you love:

I’m honestly pretty torn about how I feel about this book because whenever I actually read it I was well entertained and liked it well enough but as soon as I put it down (and I had no qualms doing so the past month) I struggled with my motivation to pick it back up and finally finish it. Anyway… I managed today.

To answer the (or at least my own) most burning question: Is this series bringing the vibe of Gossip Girl back to our homes? Well, no. Not really. Although I hoped like hell it would. Turns out this first one was more like a She’s All That kinda take with a bunch of entitled rich college boys entering a bet to corrupt the dean’s son. And pretty predictable at that.

“I told you.” I winked. “Straight or not, they all fall for me in the end.”

But I really liked the poem at the end.

What the authors def achieved tho, was raising interest in the other characters and their upcoming books. Time will tell if it was enough to make me come back to Manhattan to watch the rest of the princes fall in love.

✨ hello hi can we say moooooood reading fr lol?!✨ i mean, this bougie ass flex is pretty much NOT my usual...well, ANYTHING really😅 But this book cover was appealing as fk and:

ok so yeah, the 💸🍾🥂vibe was tight and i mos def ate this cavalier fare up! but for meeeee, this was a 3⭐ read at best for pretty much 84%...

...but thennnnnn...the third act (predictable? why yes ofc. did i care? uh no. this whole scene is legit the tone deaf arena for this nonsense fuckery for once). so like yeahhh how shit went down and how golden boy handled business and how West delivered in a wayyyyyyyy (again, predictable, but the delivery fkin slapped) ergo both me and JT got our HEA and i was in gleeeeeeeeeee...and so mayyyyybe for this 15% i'm considering forgiving BrElla for mafia prince🍎...

...uhh or maybe i'll just wait and see how the rest of this series goes first👑🏨🤴✨✌🏽

Ahhh how much I loved this book!! A book where a relationship is based off of revenge is always such a good read and this was no exception. Despite West's intentions with JT in the beginning, I really liked him and how fast he fell for JT just made me swoon. Obviously things are never great when there's a bet involved and my heart knew it was going to hurt when JT found out. All the Park Ave princes I loved and cannot wait for them all to find love and happiness and I cannot wait to see how things play out with Caleb and his arch enemy! Overall a great start to the series and I can't wait for the next book!

2 Stars ⭐️

🎵Narrated by Aiden Snow and Perry Bishop🎵 I love Aiden Snow’s hot af voice. I had never listened to Perry Bishop before but he did a great job. All my stars are for the audio and narrators.

I’m pissed. 😤 I went into this looking for a mindless read with a good narrator and I got that in spades. Aiden Snow was the highlight and I was going to round this shit to 4 stars despite it feeling like a gay rendition of She’s All That because it entertained me. I hated myself for liking it so much tbh because West was a pompous entitled prick yet I couldn’t put it down. 😂

However, WTF WAS THAT GROVEL??? 😱 Seriously? It appeared so cute at first and then to find out that West didn’t even write the poem. Are you fucking kidding me? I’d rather have the worst written poem recited out loud at this poetry slam than something someone else wrote. It ruined the entire book for me because then right after that it just ended. No epilogue. No follow up. Nothing. WHAT? For them to just get into a limo to fuck and have it end there pissed me off.

I knew not to expect greatness but this is the kind of shit that makes me rate books low. A couple years ago I probably would have been more forgiving but the ending and “grand gesture” were so disappointing that I wanted to throw my headphones against the wall. I felt like it was so unfinished and I thought every book in this series was supposed to be a stand-alone. These authors really suck at ending books. It’s either a duet or trilogy that only needed to be one book or one book that ends abruptly. 🙄 The only other couple’s book I was even excited about was Caleb and Travis but to read the blurb and find out they are stepbrothers…🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 Of course they are because that’s just my fucking luck. Always drawn to the stepbrothers and then hate their fucking books.

I want to rate this 1 star for disappointing me so much at the end but instead I’m giving it 2 stars for good narration and being the first audiobook in ages that I actually picked back up again. I am having a problem finishing books and have so many half listened to audiobooks lying around so the fact I kept picking this back up despite thinking West was a douchebag for most of the book is kind of amazing.

But seriously fuck this book and this ending. Boo hiss 👎🏻 Also, this felt more like high school than college and that seems to be a trend lately when I pick up books like this. I don’t like it.

"I liked girls.
Had only ever liked girls.
But as the taxi turned off Park Avenue, all I could seem to think about was the prince I'd just kissed on top of his damn castle."

Yassss 🙌🏻. To sum up this book: Think Gossip Girl vibes but make it totally queer! With a dash of Cruel Intentions thrown in for good measure. I honestly LOVED this series opener by author duo Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine. A series about the richest of the rich. College boys with more money than they know what to do with. A lifestyle most people couldn't even dream of. I ate it all up!

J.T. OMG J.T. - He was a cinnamon roll. I swear the man was going for saint status. Even when he started hanging with West, he was always still so innocent. His thoughts. His emotions. It was the sweetest thing. But it was tainted because as the reader we know what's going to happen in the end. We ALWAYS know how bets of this nature turn out. It's just a matter of when and how. And oh how it turned out. Lets just say it took a solid minute after finishing that portion of the book to stop cringing in sympathy. For BOTH MCs.

The groveling was top notch, as it should have been. I mean, after all, this is a romance so we know we get that HEA. I'm super intrigued about the rest of the Park Avenue Princes and I desperately want to know the history between Travis and Caleb. I'm praying Travis' book is next because that is gossip this girl needs to hear.

This was boring...

I don't have luck with this authors books, so I don't know what I was expecting, but...

1. The characters were 2D, West whole personality was that he was rich (yawn) and JP? JT? Whatever his name was, his personality was of a golden retriever that didn't listen when people were imparting important information.
2. The love wasn't there, I didn't see the change to: imma fuck him - oh I love him.
3. It got good when there was 20% or so left, cause shit hit the fan and things got moving.
4. The groveling was ridiculous, I expected JP TJ? To give in quickly cause he has cero self-preservation. But his mom? Make it make sense.

The rest? I was bored and this a long ass book! Nope!

West and his friends are terrible people. Him saying that he fell for JT the moment he laid eyes on him in Mr. Kingston's class that first day made me want to gag. JT deserves better and it's sad that he doesn't see it.

4.5 ⭐️ Anyone who loves rich kids behaving badly will enjoy this book.
The Cruel Intentions meets Gossip Girl comparisons are right on the money. It’s sexy. Another reviewer said side character, East (James Easton) is Chuck Bass and that is 💯 accurate.

This was actually written so well I felt like a guilty accomplice to West LaRue’s deception. It was down the rabbit hole for Golden Boy, JT Hawthorne.

”You want to see me naked?”
Yes 😂

On a personal note, I went to high school with guys like West and his crew and in fiction they are super fun, real life, not so fun.

I was very excited for this series debut and it didnt disappoint. We follow the first Prince, West, who accepts a bet to corrupt the deans beloved son. Naturally he f*cks up & falls for him. I wanted angst and smut and i got it . I was so invested i tried to stay up all night and finish it.

Think Cruel Intentions but make it gay.

Listen: you know I said that I would be taking an Ella hiatus last time but the blurb to this book called to me!

I'm happy to report that this book is alot better than their recent books.

It was easy to read, cute and sexy.

Were West and JT miniature copies of Logan and Tate? Yes
But somehow I didn't mind in here. It worked

They had very cute dates, the steam was steaming and it overall was an enjoyable read.

I didn't like the whole richer than Midas angle. There were also some pretty ridiculous situations and JT forgave West too easily. I wanted more grovelling.

I am interested in Caleb and Travis's story. Here's hoping it's enjoyable too

This was so incredibly hot and so much fun.

Was it realistic? Absolutely not. It’s a well known tale of an asshole who sets out to corrupt an innocent, and ends up falling really hard. The fun and different part here is that the incredibly rich asshole is gay, and corrupts the sweet perfect straight guy.

And omg, was I there for all that 🔥🔥🔥 corruption.

Was West an asshole? Of course. What else did you expect?

Was it a crazy sexy ride? Hell yeah, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I can’t wait to find out who is next to fall in in love in book 2.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5

I began this book with high expectations, and I am happy to report that my expectations were not only met but exceeded. It wasn't exactly what I expected, but better.

It's difficult for me to decide where to start, because beyond saying that I totally loved the book, the story, and the characters (not all of them, I'm looking at you East). I don't know how to express how good I found it (I literally finished the reading less than 5 minutes ago, so let me gather my thoughts).

I thought West would be the typical “poor rich kid” who has everything money can buy and still isn't happy (thanks Ella and Brooke for showing that it is possible to write a good story without falling into the use of that stereotype. Which many times is the only personality trait of those characters). Of course, West, and his friends are a group of privileged youngsters, who have had everything in life, but at least West, is also someone who works for what he wants, although of course, let's not forget that he is an arrogant-spoiled brat.

I liked the way everything developed, things happened naturally (if we leave aside West's stalker tendencies, of course. But what's the point of being a rich kid if you can't use your money to make life a little easier?). Anyway, everything between West and JT happens slowly and unhurriedly. As the reader goes deeper and deeper into the book, they can detect the exact moments in which West gradually fell for JT and how JT went from being straight as a ruler to not so straight after all. Their relationship emerged in a way that neither of them expected, and when they realize it, they were already head over heels for each other.

Things I liked:
1. How West did not stop being himself, in fact, in the process of getting to know JT he discovered things about himself that were unknown until that moment. He continued to be an arrogant playboy who went out to party almost every day, only now he went with JT or, failing that, he had dates with JT in places that were not usual for him, but JT liked.

2. JT did go a little out of the path and fell to the dark side, but he still remained true to himself. All these new experiences with West were his ticket to having fun and seeing that there is life beyond just studying and been a golden boy.

3. The parents hardly appear, but from the little that can be seen of them it is clear that they are good parents, not the typical toxic parents who have traumatized their children by being super strict, controlling and other toxic attitudes (again, thanks Ella and Brooke for showing that you can write a good story without using this overused resource).

4. Donovan and his “Van sessions”

Things I didn't like:
Just one thing. While the bet is a totally believable thing this type of character would do, the reward for winning seemed weak to me. It's not like West couldn't afford that by simply calling his dad. West, of all of them, could have that reward with a call, considering who his father is and the business he owns. But well, I guess it was more about the challenge and showing his friends that nothing is impossible or difficult for him to obtain.

Final thoughts:
—I'm upset with East, I'm sure he did it on purpose.
— Donovan and his “Van sessions” are my favorite things, also, how can I schedule an appointment with him? I need it urgently.
—What's up with Travis and Caleb?
— East, I'll be watching you closely, what you did was not something a best friend does to his best friend.
— My guess for the next book is between East and the person he's obsessed with or Travis and his love hate relationship with Caleb… you know what? I'm going to let a little of West's arrogance rub off on me…the second book will be East's, period.

Wow, this review got a little too long, so I'm going to leave it here.

Thanks to Foreword and the authors for this ARC, I really enjoyed it and I look forward to the other books.

Park Avenue Princes is a new series about a group of friends attending Astor University in Manhattan. The first book is about Weston, a wealthy and arrogant guy who is used to getting what he wants and rarely suffering any consciences for his actions. His romantic interest is JT, the dean's son. He's down to earth, has lived a fairly sheltered life so far and is looking for some independence.

They meet on the first day of college after West makes an immature and thoughtless bet with his friends in an effort to "get back to the dean" after a prank didn't go the way the group wanted. So far West doesn't sound very good, does he? As the story progresses though he starts seeing things a different way. His spending time with JT and getting to know him makes him realize the faults of his behavior so far.

So even though he's not the most lovable or even likable character to start with, his character arc makes him a sweetheart by the end of the story. When the secret is inevitably revealed he tries to redeem himself by apologizing and I have to say that his groveling was pretty good. JT's reaction was epic and I'm glad he stood up for himself and I even liked the way he did it. I think that scene in the courtyard could have been the highlight of a movie. West's was kind of cheesy but made me smile and happy so I guess it was a good one in the end. Plus, it showed the lengths he was willing to go in order to convince JT to hear him out and maybe even forgive him.

I can't decide if the amount of groveling he did was enough or not but then there's also the to consider so I don't know, maybe it was more about quality instead of quantity.

The group's lifestyle and behavior reminded me a little bit of Gossip Girl so I guess that means you have to go with the flow for certain aspects of the story and try not to analyze what happens when such young people have so much money and no boundaries.

The authors must want to torture us a little bit because they're keeping shush about who the next book is about and the title doesn't help much either so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I enjoyed this first book so much and I look forward to what else will come from this group of friends.

Nope. No. Non. Nein. Nee. Sorry. This is all bad. He did what? And you forgave him because he recited a shitty poem? And told your mom he must like you because he got on a subway? WANT BETTER FOR YOURSELF, JT!

I'd have bought this more if they were 15 or thereabouts. A bet? This is juvenile on the side of West. But also, it's the kind of thing that you don't get over just because he does a few bare minimum apology attempts.

JT must really have superhuman self-esteem levels for this not to bother him more. He opened up in a lot of ways to this guy. His heart, his ass, his dreams.

The love story never seemed that deep anyway. I get what it was supposed to give, but I didn't feel it. It felt like two guys getting to know each other other. Not necessarily in love but into each other. So maybe that's why it wasn't a bigger deal to JT?

I don't know. Maybe I'm projecting and this is a much smaller issue than I'm making it seem. Am I the drama?

I really had a hard time figuring out how I wanted to write this review. There were definitely a lot of things I liked, but there were some things that just didn’t do it for me. Let me give you the run down, and then we will get into my likes and dislikes.

Here’s the juice.

There are 7 men who go to this prestigious college in New York. These men come from very rich families. The people at this prestigious college call them the Park Avenue Princes (they live on Park Avenue at the Waldorf hotel). This book focuses on the prince named Weston (West) LaRue. West is super pissed off at the Dean of this college. The 7 princes did something before summer break that West took the blame for, and he got in trouble with the Dean. He also got grounded to home for the summer. So West and Dean Hawthorne are not friends at all. Fast forward to the start of the school year. Rumor has it that the Dean’s golden child will be starting his freshman year at the college. West’s friends propose a bet. If West can corrupt the Dean’s son in some way as payback to the Dean, they’ll fund whatever vacation he wants to go to, private jet and all. Deal accepted. This will be easy peasy lemon squeezy, right? Turns out it’s difficult difficult lemon difficult.

West thought the bet would be fun. Corrupting the Dean’s good boy straight son would be light work for him. What West didn’t expect is that he would actually like him. That he looked forward to seeing him. That he would come up with excuses to seek him out. He didn’t expect to fall for him. Seems the one to get corrupted is our resident playboy.

Okay let’s get into the things I liked about this book.

JOHN THOMAS HAWTHORNE (JT)!!! I was 100% in love with the Dean’s golden child. He was super sweet and funny. Not to mention he was so very pretty. Anytime a boy has curly hair, I fold so fast. I was definitely in JT’s fan club with this one. West would had competition with me because I wanted to steal him for myself. Get him out of the prince’s evil clutches.

I liked the romance. Even though it started out with West doing things with him only because of the bet, it quickly turned to more that I loved. The parties were hot and the dates were so swoon worthy. I melted so hard at their dates. I absolutely loved how mushy they were with each other.

I loved the sex. JT and West were so hot. These authors both write really good sex scenes, and I enjoyed reading them. West and JT’s sexy times consisted of a lot of voyeurism, and we love that. Meow.

Okay so here are my dislikes. Keep in mind that these aren’t really things I hated. A lot of my “dislikes” are actually stuff I liked that I wished there were more of. But there are some straight dislikes.

I had some issues with the characters. They reminded me too much of the characters these author’s have wrote before. I feel like, in a way, this is my fault, though. When JT was described as being straight with brown eyes and curly brown hair I was like okay Tate Morrison. After that point, I think I just started looking for similar characters. When you start looking for something, you’re obviously going to find it. So that can be my fault. I was actively looking for characters similar to their previous books, and I found them, which I was upset about. My bad.

I didn’t necessarily hate the idea of the bet, but it gave me a lot of flashbacks to my 2013 wattpad era when I was reading the One Direction fanfiction “After”. Full body shutters a lot of the time. I would’ve liked the bet more if there was more of a fallout. There was one and it was good, but I wanted MORE. More tears, more anger, more groveling.

I loved the sex, but I wanted more of that. I wanted more intimate scenes. We didn’t even kiss until chapter 16. I just wanted more of the good stuff please.

This is 100% a me thing here, but I just didn’t like the privileged rich boy thing. I’m so glad JT knocked West down a couple pegs because he needed it. I wish he would’ve knocked his friends around, too.

I didn’t have a bad time reading this. I enjoyed it a lot during the end when the romance was good and then the fallout. But when I combine all of my dislikes, I don’t see myself continuing the series. BUT that doesn’t mean y’all won’t like it. If y’all want to read a book about a bi-awakening, a bet, college atmosphere, and a sweet boy/playboy relationship, then dive into this one!!

I received a copy of the book, and this is my honest review.

It would be so easy to despise the 7 Park Avenue Princes and the way they flaunt their wealth and privilege. Bored out of their underused brains they bet their leader, Weston LaRue, that he can’t corrupt John Thomas Hawthorne (JT), a first year student at Astor Uni, the most prestigious college in Manhattan.

Weston LaRue and his cohorts are always playing pranks just for the excitement of it. He was the one caught climbing out of the window of Dean Hawthorn’s office after upending all the furniture and leaving it a mess. Consequently, he was suspended and punished. This dented his pride amongst his fellows.

Revenge. That’s why the bet is on to corrupt her son JT, who is a top grade student, and straight.

Weston doesn’t worry about college grades, his future is assured by his parents position of wealth and privilege. He is a partygoer, money no object and doesn’t hide the fact he is gay.

His behaviour here isn’t endearing at the outset but he just wasn’t prepared for a guy like JT Hawthorne, his own man, a guy with backbone, an Angel compared to the Devilish Weston.

I had a feeling what was going to happen here but it was quite late in the story and I began to wonder. There could have been a bit more character development though. I guess there were too many characters that had to be introduced to prepare for the series.

There is definitely some history between James Easton and Weston LaRue, East behaves so jealously at times and is bitter.

I really want to find out what has Travis and Caleb at each others throats.

So really, I’m looking forward to the 2nd book in this series and finding out more about Weston and JT relationship progress as well as all the other Park Avenue Princes.
