Just when you think you have everything figured out, no you don't. I love these authors. This was another great, fast paced series.
My only complaint is I wanted more epilogue.

This is book four of the Elemental Games series and the seven remaining players in this deadly game think they have found some answers and managed to get out of the games at last, but they are about to be shown just how wrong they are. They are part of a long run system of trials to find out if two contestants from each quadrant, Fire, Water, Air and Earth, can overcome their difficulties and gain control of their elemental powers. Powers which are supposedly part of the final solution, to help Mother Nature heal from the damage people had done to it and the constant issues they have grown up facing every day, from epic storms to barely habitable terrain. For Aura and Hayze, from the Scorchlands, their distrust of the leaders makes it hard to accept they must form an alliance and work with them and the rebels, to ensure everyone in each Quadrant can survive the desolate future Eterna has predicted and shown to these two. After one of the eight is killed as they confronted the leaders, they manage to send the leaders into the games arena, with most of the contestants wanting to make them suffer the same fates they had to, again and again, in the games. But the leaders have no intention of staying in something of their own construct and soon manage to make their way out, leaving only Jewel behind, stuck somewhere in the game framework.

Avalan has plans for Aura, luring her away with the promise of showing her details of where Jewel’s pod is, so she can be pulled from the game. There are so many twists and turns in this supposed solution, with the remaining contestants having to go and try to save the people in their quadrant from the increasingly destructive nature of Mother Earth, which is now acting in a far more severe nature than ever before, with little chance of anyone surviving unless the teens can quell the elements using their newfound powers. Aura and Hayze have found love twice now, once growing up under false identities and again during the games and finally getting their memories back. But they will have to fight even harder to keep that love alive, as Aura is taken from him and left in a landscape of danger, as one leader plays with them all in a game only they know the true outcome of. The next generation of participants in the games, with little chance of success or even time to try to reach their elemental powers, are brought to the arena with Aura and Jewel, to be tested. Aura has been told the secret behind Jewel’s true identity and very existence and this will be a key part to understanding the real final solution, as it begins to play out.

The seven teens find themselves back in the arena, with one leader controlling their actions and forcing them to choose their own survival against all others, in a game of winner takes all. No rules are actually in pay anymore and the easiest solution should be to stick together, but when your own survival is on the line, most chose self-preservation, no matter the cost to others. A wicked web is toying with them to force one outcome and only Aura and Hayze’s love for each other will prove to be the example one needs to make the ultimate sacrifice for someone other than themselves. This action will anger the power behind the game, but they will soon find that their reality has nothing to do with the one controlling what they thought was their real lives. A total shocking revelation will bring the pair to discover the truth behind why the games were ever brought into being and what the person behind its creation was aiming for. More surprises to come as everything in their world is turned upside down when they discover the actual truth of their existence and the final opponent they need to overcome, if any of them and their families are to survive to reach a place of safety for their futures. The dangers of the choices one leader made many years before, are laid out in epic proportions for Aura, as Jewel assists her in getting out of her pod and pushing her into action to save the others.

A thrilling conclusion which took a massive sidestep into a different ending than expected, as the truth behind everyone’s existence and the state of the world is finally revealed. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout, and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

I have really enjoyed this whole series! A good last book. Aura and Hayze still have some trials and tribulations to get through, and mysteries still need to be revealed. The adventure continues! I have loved Aura and Hayze’s connection throughout this whole series! They are such a good team and so supportive of each other. I do wish they’d think some things through better at times, but they are still both strong individuals; mentally and physically. Good characters! I was disappointed that Jewel creeped me out some; when someone says they don’t like you like that, stop pushing it. Also, when you know someone likes you romantically and you don’t reciprocate, don’t be cuddling up and laying your head in their lap. That whole situation, just didn’t work for me; that’s mainly where the lost stars comes from. Overall, I liked how the story ended; I was thinking more twists would be fun for the end, but I still liked it. The whole premise was just really cool. An entertaining series!

This has been a highly enjoyable series that has had me hooked since book one. A gripping and enthralling read and Aura and Hayze are still fighting to get to the end. They make a formidable team and from the start right up to the finish, they have been strong and have been there for each other. Well paced, captivating and very addictive with incredible world building, these authors have weaved their magic once again and bought us an ending worthy of this series. Twists and turns thrown in to keep us hooked and glued to the pages, as questions are answered and everything tied up nicely. A series I would definitely read again.

The journey across the pages of the various books in this series, have lead here to the conclusion of their tale. Can Aura and Hayze finally get all their answers? And will they share them, so we can know too? I loved the twists, trials, connections between the characters, and how it all played out (and yes both Aura and Hayze are my favourites in their group, although there were others who I liked too).

This series was absolutely epic... So well written, so absorbing, thrilling and emotional on so many levels. I am constantly stunned by the clever twists Tamar and Heidi weave into their stories. I was shocked by the clever and satisfying conclusion, which tied up so much from the rest of the series. I really struggled to put this one down, as always with Tamar and Heidi's books, and am sad that the series has ended.

This final book in the elemental games was a page turner. As each element became more fierce the earth, wind, fire and water 18 year olds had to come to grips with the possibility that the elders may have some ideas of their own if they could trust them. When one of the elders is a traitor to all, it becomes of a game of outwitting said elder. Hazye and Aura must work as one to outsmart this person to eventually solve the puzzle of the games.

Good finish

It did honestly take to about 50% of the way through to become, at least to me, as good as the previous books in the series. Once it hit that mark it was terrific. I loved how the characters stayed true to form all the way through and the ending was on point. I have not been disappointed yet by these authors. It seems two heads are better than one!

Hayze and Aura are back and trying to do what is right for everyone, but there are things they don't know that can derail all their efforts.
I have to say I never saw the twist coming and I was completely surprised by what happened.
Really awesome series.

Exciting and captivating series with lots of twists and turns. The series gets better with each book and the worldbuilding is wonderfully done, so you can dive straight into the story. I love the characters because they are well written and relatable.

Avalon talks Aura into a pod . Aura is supposed to tell Jewel that she is a computer program created by Avalon, who is Jewel's mother, but it's a trap. At the same time, Hayze is frantically searching for the missing Aura. This tale has action, betrayal, and romance, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Reading Tamar and Heidi book, you learn to expect the unexpected.
The end of this series do exact that!
Nothing was what it seems during the story, and the end is another twist!
I’m both sad and happy with the final.
But was a great story and a very entertaining experience!.
