I have read this book by borrowing it with my Kindle Unlimited subscription and reading it using the Kindle app of my tablet.
This is the third book in the amazing story of Simon, the regular guy and total nobody, who suddenly gains superpowers and has to save the world from evil. This time, Simon's universe expands not only in storytelling but also in time. The author does a great job improving and complicating the script of this hilarious story, mixing Simon's flashback storyline (even getting lost in the Cretaceous era with deadly dinosaurs everywhere) with a present storyline (where the Supremacy group is trying to destroy the world), and it blends amazingly.I really enjoyed this new episode as much as I enjoyed the first two books.
However, I deeply recommend reading the previous two novels before starting this one since it's just the continuation of the story, allowing you to enjoy it in a better way.

Imagine being around sixty-five million years ago, when the earth was wilder and woollier than it is today. You can’t? Don’t worry because Simon has and he’ll tell you how to make your cave cosy, tame a baby dinosaur, how it feels to get pickled in gastric juices, and what it was like to watch that big rock hit the ground and wipe out life as it was back then.
Simon’s been around a long time. Longer than anyone and he’s seen a few things, fought some mega battles, and had plenty of adventures.
But the world is now in big trouble and Simon is nowhere to be seen. Can he be found to save us all from extinction? In time?
This is an epic story and Mr Mayberry has done a marvellous job of taking us back and forth through time where we meet some wonderful, historic characters as well as a cutie named Spot.

Lucas W Mayberry has done some excellent research here, and worked hard to pull together the strands of an ambitious undertaking in which he once more gives us Simon, certainly not your average superhero, this time stuck in the stone age—pre-stone age, actually—and trying to get back to the future and the important business of saving the world from Morgana, Unwin and Supremacy. After a variety of dinosaurs and a passing meteorite make his already-basic living conditions even less salubrious, he’s forced to propel himself through time and space on a sixty-five million year journey, with a meaningful stop-off in sixth-century England on the way.
Meanwhile, Vasia lies unconscious, yet travelling in her mind with someone unknown to her, yet somehow known. By her bed sit Zack and Arthur, the latter relating the story of what Simon got up to on his trip back to the present—excuse me?
Confused? Hang in there and pay attention, because an explanation will be offered later, although it didn’t completely clarify matters for this reader—although that could just be me. If you like superhero fiction and have enjoyed the previous two Simon stories then this is for you.

Welcome to Part 3 of the not so average superhero Simon who is back to save the world from the evil villains Morgana and Unwin. This story takes off from where Part 2: Superhero in Training finished and moves straight into the next step of the villainous plans of global domination and how Simon and his friends Arthur, Zack and others can get themselves in order to stop them.
Simon's wife Vasia is in intensive care after taking a bullet in part 2, whilst Simon himself is trapped in a different time trying to fight off villains in battles during Saxon Britain, whilst trying desperately not to alter history as everyone remembers it. Back in the present day a group of global leaders are meeting at a climate change summit, but all hell breaks loose when they are taken hostage by the super powerful Supremacists led by Morgana.
Just like in the previous two books, Simon is on a mission to save the world, only now the opposition is bigger, the potential casualties are higher and the consequences are out of this world, literally. Mayberry has broken all the boundaries, everything you would expect in a trequel. Additionally, this time, the space-time continuum is also at threat.
Add this to your reading list, it's brilliant, but don't read it before you've read the first two of Mayberry's Simon books.

This book is AMAZING. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would, but a very well-deserved BBE Recommended Read Award goes out with this one.
This is Book 3 in the Simon series and picks up immediately where Book 2 left off, but only for a second in time and space. Wow, we pick up, and then we go elsewhere—and you won’t believe where!
From the first two words, ‘Help me,’ this book picked me up and carried me along to the end and beyond. I say beyond because it’s going to stay with me for a long time, and certainly whenever a certain king is mentioned.
Do you want surprises? – this book has them.
Do you want twists?—this book has them.
I’ll even use the cliché jaw-dropping. I’m usually pretty good at picking up on things—but nope, didn’t see them coming at me.
And onto the serious side of the book, the research and description is just fantastic. And the general premise of the timeline and placement is inspired. Brilliantly done and clever. I was gripped by the place and time settings, and the way the author brought them to life. His research was spot-on and this book is a joy to read.
A BBE top recommendation for 2023/2024. If you only read one book—read this one. Excellent!

Super powered fever dream
What do you feel when I say the words, "Punch your way out of a dinosaur?" If that feeling isn't pleasant, I can't in good conscience recommend this book. If you pumped your fist or heard a guitar riff from AC/DC, there's nothing I could say to stop you anyway.
The author's style is a sort of caffeinated stream of consciousness, like an out-of-breath adolescent blurting out his favorite movies and books. Which the characters often mention when the similarities come up. The neck-straining pace isn't a bad thing, and neither is the enthusiasm for the material. However, if this novel was a rollercoaster, logic wasn't buckled in properly and flew out on the first turn. There's nothing wrong with reading novels out of order, they should be able to stand alone, and this one doesn't fail, exactly. That said, I would recommend starting this series at the beginning. You'll need to train your suspension of disbelief to deal with the cosmic escalations that plague ongoing superhero sagas. Unless your disbelief was surgically removed after a terrible rollercoaster accident. 3.5 stars for me.

He sought revenge from Morgana for the attack on his wife but as she disappeared, Simon went with her and was transported millions of years back in time. Now his fight to get back begins!
A great tale of good verses evil and time travel combined. The story continually jumps from present day back to the land that time forgot and places inbetween, where our superhero encounters dinosaurs and their extinction, travels through space, meets the Saxons, drops in on King Arthur to fight alongside his men and makes an appearance at the G20 when Supremacy launch their attack to take over the world's nuclear weapons. Phew, that's some journey and all in 380 odd pages!
I listened to this book on audio and I think the narrator added another layer to the story, as he showed respect for the source material and used varying tones to suit the situations as they arose.
You are in for a great read, following Simon as his journey progresses. Both the continuing story and it's characters are well written and developed and the action unfolds at a cracking pace. We could really do with a Simon in our world today, it would be such a better and more peaceful place!

Simon is an immortal superhero. This is just as well as he finds himself sixty-five million years in the past, befriending dinosaurs and the only way back to the present is to live his way back.
Meanwhile, in the present, his girlfriend Vasia is in a coma and meets a young man called Ronin who she finds she has a very deep connection with. Together they help fight against Morganna (the Arthurian one who is an immortal supervillain) - along with Arthur (also the Arthurian one who is an immortal superhero and - oh, it gets a bit complicated).
Totally overblown and great fun if you enjoy superhero fiction. I think I should have read the previous volumes first as this really isn't a stand-alone and assumes a lot of knowledge of character history and relationships. But even so, it is a most enjoyable romp. Except for Spot. I will never forgive the author for Spot and that actually tainted my enjoyment of the entire subsequent book!
Try it if you love superhero fiction or just a really different kind of read - but please read the other books in the series first.

I loved the first two in this Superhero series, but I have to say that the third one blew me away. What a twist!! Stranded way back in the past by Morgana, Simon has very little option other than to live day by day. And that's a long time when you're immortal. Witness to some of the great events that shaped our planet, our hero makes his way through the ages until he finally meets his tutor, Arthur, at the start of the middle ages. Here the story really takes off, with an ingenious retelling of the Arthurian legend. Meanwhile, in our time, Vasia, lying in a coma following the attack at the football field, meets a special guide of her own. And Supremecy launch their attack at the G20, gathering the world leaders and bending them to their will. An explosive ending follows, with all the strands coming together. And the final few paragraphs...oh!! Please get book 4 done asap; can't stand the wait! A great third book in an outstanding series.

Wow! What an incredibly weird book! But sometimes, that is just the sort of read that brings a nice change of pace and a new perspective. This one is unlike anything else I have read for some time. It incorporates a little bit of everything, as a superhero lives through multiple eras and ages of history, bringing in stuff from King Arthur, prehistory, dinosaurs, supremacy groups, twists, turns, comas, etc. It is difficult to categorize into words what this story is all about at times, but the author has a talent for describing these far-flung adventures in a way that only he can. It is a strange style of over-the-top hysteria and pandemonium, but it seems to resonate with many readers, and if you have what it takes to accept such a galactic time/mindwarp challenge, you might just get lost in the pages of this author's vivid imagination and have a great time. It is time to see...what Simon says!

The third installment of the adult superhero series Simon opens with the blunt statement that everything you knew about the title character was a lie. This evokes various reinventions of long-running comic book heroes, revamped due to the necessity of lengthy publishing histories and changing creative teams. Here, it’s a setup for more madcap action. Simon starts the story in pre-history, and after punching some dinosaurs, must travel through time to face the evil Morgana, who has kidnapped a conference of world leaders in present times. Along the way, more of Simon’s past is revealed and a healthy dose of Arthurian legend is introduced. The plot might be a little confusing for those who haven’t read the previous two books, but it’s an entertaining follow-up and should please the existing fans.

While Vasia his wife lies in a coma, the world is in danger—will Simon get back in time to save the planet from the evil Morgana? Or does he have somewhere else from History to drop into first? You bet he does. Bang smack in the Middle Ages where he mingles and fights alongside King Arthur and his men.
This story takes you back and forth through time with some spectacular scenes. A well-developed story and action-packed throughout. Well worth a read!

This is Book 3 in the Simon: Superhero Series that I’ve read, and it did not disappoint. Author Lucas Mayberry takes the Simon story to new, exciting and very imaginative levels as Simon and his gang of superheroes saves the world once again, but this time the suspense and thrills are on steroids and highly entertaining.
The plot is a world wind of backstories and present adventures, ending in a winner takes all finish. Although this is fantasy, the characters are easy to relate to and the scenes are well-written and believable.
I highly recommend the series, and I suggest that it might be best to read the books in order as books 1, 2, and then 3. It will make more sense, and you will enjoy the continuity and relate better to the characters. As I finished this third book, I felt as if the characters were old friends, and now I can’t wait for the next in the series to be published.
The plot is a world wind of backstories and present adventures, ending in a winner takes all finish. Although this is fantasy, the characters are easy to relate to and the scenes are well-written and believable.
I highly recommend the series, and I suggest that it might be best to read the books in order as books 1, 2, and then 3. It will make more sense, and you will enjoy the continuity and relate better to the characters. As I finished this third book, I felt as if the characters were old friends, and now I can’t wait for the next in the series to be published.

A wild adventure!
This book is a wild, whacky ride through time and space that doesn’t take itself too seriously—and that’s what makes it so much fun. Simon, the immortal superhero, finds himself stuck sixty-five million years in the past, rubbing shoulders with dinosaurs and just trying to survive long enough to make his way back to the present.
The plot is easy to follow, despite being packed with unexpected twists and turns. It’s the kind of story where just when you think you have a handle on things, something completely unpredictable happens, keeping you hooked from start to finish. The pace is fast, which I appreciated, but I did noticed a few minor editing issues here and there that interrupted the flow just a bit. That said, they didn’t take away too much from the overall enjoyment.
If you’re into superhero fiction and enjoy a story that’s a bit out there, this is definitely worth picking up.

Villains, Foes, and Crushes!
I loved Simon Superhero in Training, so I snapped up Simon: Super Hero Continuum (book 3), and I’m so glad I did!
Morgana, Simon’s sister, makes a reappearance – hand-in-hand with Unwin, who murdered Simon’s father. Guinevere, the crazy and courageous Warrior Princess of Powys, is my new crush.
There are fight scenes aplenty. And, as always, Lucas W. Mayberry kept me engrossed into the early wee hours - pure escapism. Oh, and by the way, I’d still like to know what’s kept under the Georgian House at the Volta. Tbc, obviously – when Simon’s back!

I simply love how this book begins, just before the great disaster that will get rid of the dinosaurs. And it gets better still afterward. Part 3 (book 3) of the adventure is as exciting as the other two in the series and you need to read them to get the full impact as this is a series. In this book, the action takes place over time and flips between past and present, as he battles the Supremacy. It all makes for a very clever story, replete with twists and turns, the action takes place at a pace, so take a deep breath and hold it as you read.

Loved it! Loved it!
I actually think this is the best of the Simon series to date. It's very cleverly written as he battles against his arch enemy Morgana. I really enjoyed learning about the stone age and how Simon tries to stop the evilness. I think the author has done an excellent job researching history, whilst throwing twists and turns to keep you glued. Simon has his work cut out for him in this story, the intensity of his battles go up a notch and really you are wondering if he will make it. Well have a read as this is an excellent superhero book.

I love this series, and thoroughly enjoyed the other two books. The third installment has everything you want in a superhero novel. In this book, we study some of the exciting elements that make up the superhero genre, including time travel, iconic legends, and the journey of a hero includes not only his battle with antagonists, but within as well. The plot is clean, the story isn’t too sticky, and the characters dialogue is written well. Check out the third book of this series if you’re a lover of superhero tales and sci-fi stories.

action and excitement
Action packed from the first minute. This book picks up where the last one ended, but I don’t think anyone could see what was coming for poor Simon. Entertaining from the first page and what a rollercoaster. The action never stops climbing and the level of thought and imagination that went into this plot is astounding. The twists just keep on coming! The characters are fabulous too. Simon is such a likeable guy, but my favourite character is Eraaf.

You are in for a treat with the third instalment in this incredible series. I absolutely love the protagonist Simon as he gets put through his paces trying to survive dinosaurs, space, the Middle Ages, battles with King Arthur and more. Meanwhile is wife Vaisa is in a coma fighting her own personal battles and the world looks like it’s been taken over by Morgana and her cronies. Does this sound slightly mad? Well it is, but whilst reading it all makes perfect sense! I enjoyed it immensely!

The author takes us on a long journey through time from the pre-historic days to the present, passing through 512AD.
I did find the story a little confusing due to the back and forth in time, and even more so with the future when Vasia speaks with her adult son who isn’t born yet!
That said, I enjoyed the descriptions and everyday life with Spot and then with Guinevere. These were my favourite parts.
If you’re looking for something different to read, try this book.

A real cosmic adventure!
Simon is thrown back in time while in the present day, a nefarious scheme looks to destabilise the world at large. But he has other things to be concerned with in his own current state, including dinosaurs and a certain mythological legend. A great fantasy crossover read

I great superhero novel with plenty of thrills and action. Lucas did an excellent job continuing the adventure in his 3rd book. A real rollercoaster ride that keeps you turning the pages. Great work!

Simon is back with a few twists that I never saw coming. Enjoyed the little history along the way.
