Mafia Omegas #1

Toxic Revenge Part One

Rate this book
How dangerous is a scorned omega?

Scent matches are supposed to be everything—your perfect mate. And I made myself perfect for him. We were creating a life together… until I walked in on his scent entangled with another omega’s.

But cheating isn’t all he’s capable of. He had far worse plans for me if I hadn’t caught him.

My criminal fathers would kill him if they knew what he’d done, but I’m a mafia heiress who learned from the best. I want to punish him on my own terms. Mercer, Conrad, and West—a pack of motorcycle club alphas who rouse my omega instincts for the first time in years—are my tempting and willing accomplices.

They’re obsessed with me, but they shouldn’t be. What we’re doing is wrong. The lies and secrets chip at pieces of my soul, destroying the uncomplicated life I’ve tried to build. But, drawn like magnets, we can’t stay away. We can’t stop.

When revenge becomes toxic, can the pack who gave me my vengeance save me from myself?

Or will I lose everything in my pursuit of payback?

Toxic Revenge Part One is a why choose omegaverse with an MFMM pairing. The story features cheating as revenge—but no cheating whatsoever between the love interests. This is Part One of a duet, with a cliffhanger ending and a HEA coming in Part Two (anticipated to release in May/June 2024).

Spoilers, so yeah.

It's not that I didn't like the book, but Talia's decision to half bond her cheating mate to get revenge was idiotic. She should have immediately broke things off, or rejected him once she found him cheating. He's not a child, he's a grown man, he knows who her family is. He put his own life on the line when he did what he did. It's not her problem. But even then, she could have rejected him immediately after she bit him as well. So, it would've been done without her parents noticing right away. There's so many ways she could have broke things off with him that didn't involve endangering herself.

Also, I'm not a fan of the way the author did the ending. I'm ALL for cliffhangers. That's not the problem. The problem is that once he bit her back to complete the bond she rejected him, but it didn't work. There has been no Omegaverse book in which rejection wasn't allowed to bonded mates. It usually just hurts more to be rejected once fully mated and is only done during dire circumstances, but it most definitely IS possible. I don't know what would make her create a whole new thing where since the bond was completed, now he can't be rejected. That makes no sense at all.

Finally, Talia is an idiot. The alpha has been cheating on her multiple times and often, from the conversation we heard between him and the Omega he was cheating on her with. That plus the fact that he was willing to propose and ask for a bonding knowing his cheating would cause her immense pain the whole time... He's clearly not a good man. Then the way she saw him acting on the security feeds her sister pulled up? Come on Talia, of COURSE he's dangerous. Why you didn't see the signs of an abusive man/alpha is beyond me. After you did what you did to get back at him, did you REALLY think he would do nothing to you? So y'all would just meet up, you would reject him and everything would be okay? Grow up Talia.

I almost DNF'd this book as soon as she did the idiotic move of half bonding him, but I'm glad I finished it because I did like the book, but the half bonding and not allowing the rejection is so bad story wise.

I struggled on giving this book 3 stars, I was so tempted to give it 2. The story in general is good, but those 2 things make it hard to rate it higher. HOWEVER, I will say that while not allowing her to reject her mate after the bond doesn't really make sense, I could get over it if that's the picture the author wanted to build for their Omegaverse to make it different from others. I probably would have given the book 4 or 5 stars and just complained about that a little of that's all it was. The half bond is what makes me rate it lower. Talia is actually smart. I know I called her idiotic, but she's NOT and idiot, she was BEING an idiot. But it was completely out of character for her, the author even said it herself within the dialouge in the book. There was no reason at all for Talia to handle it that way, regardless of how upset she was. She literally walked in on him banging another Omega in the place that they both were together previously. If she didn't do anything like that then, she definitely wouldn't have done it later in a situation that wasn't near as painful. Him proposing to her was bad, but not worse than her walking in on them. Hearing their sounds and smelling their scents. If she was thinking with her brain then, she would have been thinking worth her brain later.

All of that was brought onto Talia for no reason, in my opinion. The drama of hi cheating on her then her properly rejecting him (not half bonding him), plus all of the MC drama from the guys would have been enough on their own to make this book great. The **forced** drama of the half bond thing Talia did actually gave me some dislike for the book that I was otherwise enjoying

So, onto the regular positive whining and complaining about a book ending in a cliffhanger. Now I have to sit and wait and see if everything gets fixed in the next book... that isn't released yet.. And poor Conrad and Mercy.. Then West isn't even with them and is just feeling their pain. Yeeaahhhh it'll be a long wait. 🫠

Toxic Revenge is the first half of an omegaverse duology that’s part mafia, part motorcycle club, part criminal conspiracy, part scent-match sketchiness, and part “omega has a revenge agenda”. It’s a whole lot of tropes and microtropes to cram into one plot and it does show, here and there, but by and large it’s spicy and fun.

When it comes to duologies, the first half has to do triple duty: the world building, characterizations, and place the most important building blocks for the story arc and romantic dynamics. This leaves the second half to do the heavy work carrying through with the plot, emotions, intimacy, and character growth. This first half has a lot to juggle and I think it does the best it can with the page length its given, but some elements did end up getting a bit of a lopsided treatment.

You know what makes it all better? Spicy revenge. Spiteful, spicy revenge. I loved the spice scenes in this book. Olivia Lewin writes excellent omegaverse spice and I love how she decided to take the idea of “cheating the cheater” and ran with it with no regrets. It was salacious. It was hot. I was here for it.

I was provided a copy of this title by the author. All thoughts, opinions, views, and ideas expressed herein are mine and mine alone. No compensation was offered or accepted in exchange for this review. Thank you.

This was a torture roller coaster. Ok so the pace of the story is medium to slow but it’s a page turner because there is so much going on. The romance, the rejection , the bond, and the MC. Also because quite frankly Talia is stupid. You might empathize with her but I think her family failed her epically by turning her into the person she is. Like I can’t off the top of my head think of a single good decision from her, so prepare to be frustrated enough to want to tap out. But here’s the kicker YOU CAN’T cause you are invested, ok. You get little tiny bits of information, just enough to keep you hooked. Because this is a train wreck of Talia’s making just waiting to happen and you aren’t getting off this ride babe! And that cliffhanger *sputters*…I’m half way tempted to press charges against Ms. Lewin, but I think the more reasonable course of action is to dive into her back catalogue so goddess save by TBR. The writing is good, the story is a touch chaotic but not in a hard to follow way, the one thing I needed was a little less day to day with Talia and and little more time with the pack to get to know them and to spend less time listening Talia rationalize her foolery!

The couple: Mercer/Conrad/West and Talia

Romance trope: omegaverse; rh
Series: Mafia Omegas
Length: 395 pages

Plot: Talia is a scent-matched omega, nearly ready to mate her partner, when she discovers that he is cheating on her. During the obligatory "getting drunk at a random bar to forget her troubles" scene, she meets a local MC pack - Mercer, Conrad, and West. She discovers that she is drawn to them just as much, if not more than, her current fiance. But he's not going to let her go so easily, and there's still the matter of her mafia fathers who would just as soon kill someone who hurts their daughter.

Commentary: Ends in a cliffhanger (a fairly predictable one, to be certain).
Talia wasn't extremely smart, and she of course did all the things that people told her not to do. What really needs to happen is one of her sisters needs to rat her out to the dads. Sisterly? No. But certainly would keep her safe. I'm sure some sort of alliance between the mafia and the MC could be worked out. But not now! Now she has to deal with the escalated situation with her fiance.

Next book in the series: Toxic Revenge Part Two

I was lucky enough to receive an arc read & will always speak my truth. So let's get into it! It's been awhile since I've read the omega verse but I really loved the idea of combining it with the mafia trope & mc .

Let's get into the things I like firstly:
-multiple pov! Always a bonus in my book, gives a deeper understanding & meaning
-her family! Her family seems so interesting & her sisters too, I would love to read more about them.
- the guys, they're different we have C a cinnamon roll, W serious who tries to stay away & M the dominant leader. I just wished we saw more of them honestly!
- I also liked how the author wrote Benjamin as a completely unlikable character, I mean to the point where I'm annoyed at the fmc for staying with him as long as she did. When I get angry at a book , i know it's good writing because then I've emotionally invested too much lol

The things I didn't like:
-the whole I know he's cheating but I'm not going to do anything about it, I'm going to keep on dating him & pretend that nothing is wrong. This is my main issue with the book & why it got 3 stars instead of 4. The fmc just seemed dumb, you're telling me she doesn't want to tell her family because they might kill him but have no problem suffering?? I found it really annoying & stupid, I liked her sisters reasoning better from the little we saw them. & Yes she's obviously very high moral woman , but she literally digged a deeper hole for herself & the thing at the end was indirectly her causing too. Which brings me to my next point
-i didn't connect with the fmc at all & frankly found her kinda stupid at times. This whole thing with Benjamin could have been resolved by communicating to her family, instead she caused a bigger mess & here's the thing i get her wanting revenge! Heck i even support it but it backfired so badly on her.

With that being said I still liked the book! I just love to write down what I liked or didn't like in a book, I feel like it's easier to review it that way. I'm definitely excited for part 2 of this duet, (here's to hoping the fmc dads or guys murder Benjamin 🥂). I'm hoping that the second book will focus more on the guys & development in their relationship to each other. It's been awhile since I read omega verse so it was definitely fun to get into it again. Thanks again to the author for the arc!

Toxic Revenge is book one in the Mafia Omegas series. The books must be read in order for maximum enjoyment. It ends on a significant cliffhanger.

Our spunky heroine is thrown for a loop when she walks into her 'scent-matched' alpha's home and hears him with another omega. When she discovers that he wants to bond with her, causing her physical pain every time he cheats, she concocts a plot for revenge.

Enter our 3 alpha motorcycle club members who are instrumental in her plan. Two of the guys are willing to be 'used' for part of her revenge on the undeserving alpha. They have criminal complications in their life, however, that make the third reluctant to involve an innocent omega.

Will she tell the guys she's a mafia princess (her fathers run a mob faction) and familiar with the grey side of the law? Will they trust her with their own secrets?

This was a good mafia/mc romance. The guys were swoon worthy. I love it when antiheroes get soft for their girl.

Well well well… talk about a cliffie! I devoured this one in one sitting. Honestly, there were a whole cluster of things that I wasn’t sure how would turn out during the plot of this book, but I can say, TRUST THE PROCESS. Talia was a naive mafia princess and her men are so alpha, but so sweet to her at the same time. The nicknames, the scents, the instant chemistry… I loved it and ate it up. I can’t friggen WAIT for part two!

Thank you to the author for this arc!

This kind story is what I love, just a couple of problems. There is so much miscommunication and secrets. Seriously, there were a few WTF moments. There was so much tiptoeing around certain things that should have just been said. I did like the book and will be looking forward to reading the second just to find out what the hell is going on and hopefully more communication

I literally could not put this down. I’ve been in a slump and this literally rose me out of the grave. I really liked Talia’s character because she tried to live outside of the reality she was born into. Becoming an ER nurse as an omega without the help of her mafia family. The cliffhanger literally has me dying and I’m starving for the next book already.

There are more reasons than I can count for why you should read this but the number one is the banter. If you like a sassy, witty, really all around hilarious fmc please read this. The alphas are just the cherry on top.

Talia never realized how much the scent of cucumber moss bothered her until she smelled it mingling with apple pie. Her scent match was with another omega. All those little things she had ignored because he was her scent match, the man who was supposedly her perfect mate suddenly glared like a field of red flags. Still, it didn't do much to curb her heartbreak. And she couldn't even go to her sisters for a shoulder to cry on because her fathers would kill him. As much as he's hurt her, she doesn't want to be the cause of his death. So, the next best thing to her sisters is to drown her sorrows in the bottom of a bottle. Talia ditches her driver/bodyguard and wanders into a seedy biker bar, a place no wealthy omega should be. Full of Alphas, Talia could be in trouble with the attention she's garnering. Lucky for her Mercy, the next-in-line of the Alpha Chariots MC decides he and his seconds, Conrad, and Wes, are on babysitting duty to keep her safe. The fact she smells like theirs has nothing to do with anything. And so it begins. A mafia princess and MC Alphas who should never met and who are involved in their dangerous worlds are about to set the world on fire.

This was a wonderful read. I love the idea of a mafia princess and MC Alphas. Two different criminal worlds collide for love. It would have been a 5-star for me if Talia didn't act against her character. She's a great omega; an intelligent woman trying to walk a different path. She has been raised in the mafia, so she is aware of the failings of human morals and yet, she purposefully placed herself in danger for revenge. She knew the danger yet she continually snuck away from her driver. She hid from her family. She half-bonded. I never got over her saying yes. I'm all about revenge but not at the expense of the main character. The author could have gotten where she needed to be without Talia risking herself. We all knew what was coming, so she should have too. Now instead of being horrified and worried about the predicament she finds herself in at the end of the book, I also have to be upset with her for the role she played to end up there. This could have been avoided if she had been true to her character. I could have chalked up her actions to heartbreak if she wasn't professional at work and carefully calculating when she wanted to hide her actions. The author betrayed her character. I hope the next book does her justice. I want to see her show a combination of intelligence, strength, and her connections to destroy the cucumber monster. I look forward to her worlds merging and her men and fathers developing a partnership to burn the city down until all risks have been eliminated.

Toxic Revenge was... interesting. It was a big different than I expected, in the sense that although there's been omega/partner conflict in SO MANY of the Omegaverse series I've read, Lewin has taken hers in a totally different direction.

Honestly, I think her name for the duet fits perfectly; as you get into the story and see Talia start to execute her plan, you get the layers of just how toxic the situation is. Talia's getting revenge on a toxic ex, sure, but she's also dug herself in too deeply in a plot that's toxic for her as well.

And that's the thing... Talia is highly imperfect. I sympathize with her and want her to be happy, but man, does she cause some of her own problems in the long run. She's not generally the most likable FMC I've come across, but she makes me curious, and I'm rooting for her. Just fair warning though, prepare to be angry and her and her decision-making. One other thing I was sort of itching for was a little more of the mafia involvement. It doesn't bother me that Tali isn't super actively involved in her fathers' business, but I hope there's maybe a more direct connection with that in part two.

With a lot of recent releases like Lola Rock and Marie Mackay, I think readers are getting more exposure to the omega having some baggage - not just standard self-esteem issues but some deeper struggles, so I'm up for giving Talia a fair chance to grow on me more in book two.

Now, to me, the real draw is the guys - Mercy, Conrad, and West. They give us fun, grump, sweetness, sternness, and really the whole gamut. With the three of them, Lewin's created a balanced pack, so readers will get a well-rounded group even though the harem is on the smaller side.

I like the fact that the guys get their own storyline. Lewin hasn't made it all about the romance, though that's obviously part of the story. Mercy, Conrad, and West are in the middle of their own shit, too, and that autonomy in the story makes it all the more interesting to me.

Definitely will read part two.

The title Toxic Revenge had anxiety written all over it but I like Olivia Lewin and she hit some major checkmars. How could I say no to an rh omegaverse with a mafia heiress, bikers, and a revenge plot. I'm that chick. I couldn't say no. I'm so glad I picked up Toxic Revenge, this book was fire.

Oh, Talia. I liked her a lot, her spunky and vengeful spirit spoke to me but she made so many stupid decisions I wanted to scream at her. That girl had to go and start playing with fire and I was just waiting for her to get burned.

Three badass bikers turn out to have the sweetest hearts at least when it comes to Talia. Mercer, Conrad, and West all form an instant connection with Talia. It's a connection that couldn't be denied plus they came into each other's lives at just the right time. I love the easy affection between Talia and the pack and I have high hopes for a HEA.

So I thought that this was just a simple revenge plot and boy was I wrong. Yes, there was revenge but there was so much more than that. Somehow I set aside that this is an organized crime world which means there is an undercurrent of something else going on and in the least likely place. There are several plot bunnies in this story and I have a suspicious feeling they're all connected. The story was not only entertaining it got me thinking too.

I was right about Toxic Revenge being one big anxiety bubble, I was on edge for a good chunk of the book but it was so worth it. It surpassed any expectations I had and while I knew ahead of time that it was going to end on a cliffhanger (because, hello, there's a part 2) I did not expect that ending that intense. I don't know how Olivia is going to fix it but she needs to fix it. I need the next book ASAP.

What to Expect
* Why Choose; Omegaverse
* Mafia Princess
* MC Alphas
* Revenge
* Kindle Tossing Cliffhanger
* What's in the BOX?!?!

Toxic Revenge is my first book from Olivia Lewin, and I plan to check out her other works because I enjoyed this a lot. Please check out the triggers before diving in to ensure it will be something you would enjoy.

Talia and I have beef; the number of times I looked at my Kindle and mumbled, "What are you doing?" is excessive. She is a mafia princess but does not know how to stand up to people she knows. Talia has no issue speaking up for herself around strangers, so the fact that she was not willing to do that with her idiot boyfriend irked the hell out of me. She's not dumb, but she makes some choices that I was giving some serious side-eye to regarding her no-good cheating boyfriend. Sometimes, it's good to have an FMC that you occasionally want to strangle and say, "Make smarter choices!" but on the flip side, I can see how she may irk some people too much.

I enjoy the three alphas she meets while trying to drown her sorrows. Mercer, Conrad, and West have very different personalities, and I like seeing how they interact. Mercer is the very dominant leader of the pack. He knows having Talia around is not a good idea, but getting him to cave doesn't take much. Conrad is the alpha cinnamon roll, and he's all in from jump and doesn't even care that it means going against Mercer. West spends his time fighting the fact that he wants her and telling both the other guys that they shouldn't want her either.

I enjoyed the spice! My favorite is probably going to be the spicy time she has in the car while on the phone West because I'm a sucker for the guys that hold out.

Ben is irredeemable, and I can't wait to see what the author has in store for him! I'm also curious if we will see more of Talia's sisters because while they aren't in many scenes, I enjoyed meeting them and definitely want to see more.

This ends on a Kindle throw-worthy cliffhanger that left me with many questions about what is happening (see last bullet point above) and where we are going in the next book.

Toxic Revenge is part one of a duology. Reverse Harem Omegaverse. Mafia. Motorcycle club. Relationship revenge. Content warnings are a must read if you have any triggers.

A twist on omegaverse I haven’t read yet! The rollercoaster that is this mafia, MC, and revenge story-line. At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about Talia. The omega girl that has everything yet wants nothing to do with the family ‘business’, walks in on her scent-match alpha boyfriend cheating. She doesn’t want to say anything to her family because she doesn’t want the asshole to die? And then she keeps secrets from everyone that could help her despite knowing her family would have her back because she’s worried about the reputation of it? Yet, her compassion and feisty attitude endeared me towards her slowly but surely. Her actions weren’t always smart or well thought out, but she did it out a misguided attempt to keep blood off her hands.

Which leads us to Mercer, Conrad, and West. I cannot explain the heat levels! Conrad is all in, feet first, taking hits (literally) to keep Talia despite her situation. Mercer, the lead of the pack and soon-to-be prez of the club, is loyal and wants to both protect his pack and keep Talia safe…but is keeping her away really keeping her safe? And West! Oh, my god. That man is just a ticking time bomb and I cannot wait to see what happens when he explodes.

I NEED the next book like now. I’ve got to stop reading cliff-hangers…
No pressure, Olivia, but write fast!

•HEA: cliffy ❤️‍🩹
•Angst: 3/5
•TW: cheating (NOT b/w MCs), ref to n0nc0n, weight-shaming (not by MCs), forced mating bite, violence, surgery, gunshot/near fatal wound, paranormal-themed poisoning

•Bonuses: emphasis on consent, body positivity, swoony moments 🥹
•Read if you liked: John Tucker Must Die vibes, Clouds and Daydreams (Elizabeth Knight), Knox (Things We Never Got Over)

“Elle Woods is a bada$$ and I need some of that energy.”

When Talia comes home to her scent match, the last thing she expects is to find him 🛌 with another woman. When she meets another scent-matched pack soon after, she has the perfect revenge in mind. But there are other sinister forces at work, and with Alphas going randomly feral and an ex-boyfriend in-the-wind, Talia might not be safe anymore.

What I liked:
•The plot! It’s so quick moving, there’s not boring build-up.
•The plot TWISTS. It was an easy 4 stars through most of the book, the last 1/3 of the book bumped it to almost 5!
•The side characters are really great. I love Mira
•I love the men! West especially ♥️ he’s the perfect grump and gives me Knox (Knockemout, Lucy Score) vibes for sure!
•That ending 🫣 seriously. Sooo good
•The dynamic in the pack

What I didn’t:
•The middle felt a bit dragged out

I recommend this book for anyone who doesn’t mind crazy cliffhangers, who looooves Omegaverse, and is definitely 18+ 🤣

Revenge Is Supposed To Be Sweet…Right?!?

In Talia’s case…maybe not so much 🤦‍♀️🙄 So first off, I love that we see a scent matched alpha being an idiot & cheating on his girl…Talia. It shows that free will can out trump that scent match, and we don’t get to see that too often in most Omegaverse stories. Anyways, back to Talia wanting revenge. Seems pretty cut and dried to her, but even though she’s usually pretty smart, in this case, she’s not thinking too clearly 😝 Enter 3 delicious alphas that she meets in a bar…who also happen to be in a rival MC. Ohhhh, btw, Talia’s family are kind of in the mafia 👀🫣😈😎 I swear, none of this should work to make such a fantastically enjoyable reading experience, but Olivia is a freaking genius, cause guess what???? IT DOES 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 And it does so in such a chaotically exciting way 🙌🏻 That’s all before you get to the excruciatingly crazy cliffhanger that she threw at us 🤯😭 Because that cliffhanger toyed with all my emotions on so many levels 👀😈 So here’s all you really need to know…when you take a mafia, MC, whychoose, Omegaverse story, with a sweet FMC determined to get revenge, you’ll find a combination that you didn’t realize you needed in your life 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Now if I could just get part 2 in my life, and I never thought I’d willingly say that about a mafia romance 😉😝😂

"Toxic Revenge Part One" by Olivia Levin is a thrilling beginning that delivers a fresh twist on the omegaverse genre. As the first installment of a captivating duology, this reverse harem tale seamlessly blends elements of mafia intrigue and motorcycle club dynamics, all wrapped up in a deliciously satisfying tale of relationship revenge.

From the outset, readers are plunged into the tumultuous world of Talia, a headstrong omega nurse caught in a web of family secrets and forbidden desires. When she stumbles upon her scent-match alpha boyfriend's infidelity, Talia's world is turned upside down, setting off a chain of events that will test her loyalties and challenge her notions of right and wrong.

Levin's masterful storytelling keeps readers on the edge of their seats, with twists and turns that defy expectations at every turn. Talia's journey of self-discovery is both heart-wrenching and empowering, as she grapples with her own desires and the tangled web of relationships that surround her.

Central to the story are the enigmatic trio of alpha bikers - Mercer, Conrad, and West - whose magnetic presence and undeniable chemistry with Talia ignite the pages with scorching heat. Each alpha brings their own brand of intensity to the narrative, adding layers of depth and complexity to the burgeoning romance.

As the plot unfolds, secrets are revealed, alliances are tested, and loyalties are questioned, leaving readers eagerly anticipating the next twist in this exhilarating saga. With its seamless blend of romance, suspense, and intrigue, "Toxic Revenge Part One" is a must-read for fans of reverse harem and omegaverse fiction.

As a word of caution, the book contains content warnings that should be heeded by readers with sensitive triggers. However, for those who crave a rollercoaster ride of emotions and adrenaline-fueled thrills, this is a story not to be missed.

Thank you for the ARC.

Talia, mafia daughter, is a nurse who tries to stay away from the criminal underworld. She’s seen too much violence and the repercussions of it.

Her scent match is a lawyer and she thinks that it’s fate. When she walks into the apartment and finds him cheating she flees to a rundown bar. At this bar she meets the Alpha Chariots MC members. Condrad, Mercer, and West. Instantly drawn to them and their scents she is overwhelming confused. How can she feel this way about them when she’s supposed to be scent matched to another???

The Alphas are all drawn to be as well. But they think she’s just a rich and innocent Omega and vow to keep their distance to keep her safe.

Talia makes a stupid move to get revenge and goes out of her way to evade her security and keep her distance from her family. She doesn’t know the danger she’s putting herself in. That was my only problem with this book. She’s so aware of the criminal world and its workings. But was recklessly naive and she ended up paying a severe price for it.

It leads up to a huge cliff hanger the last 25% of the book. I’m in desperate need for answers. And reconciliation with the events that happened.

I received this as an ARC for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review.

my favorite and best book by olivia to date!

i think the story is unique (speaking as someone who’s tired of the same plot for ov books this is different and it feels different) and bc of that i just couldn’t stop reading

talia is a complicated one — you wanna strangle her for most part of the book but you can’t fault her for the way she thinks, so in a way you feel for her but you also wanna slap her to get some sense into her brain; she’s also funny and shy and sweet and I love when the fmc is not that badass.

west, mercer and corad are such sweethearts beneath the hard exterior and i love the fact that since their very first interection with talia they tried to resist the pull and be respectful and shit — and even tho they are cute with her they’re still possessive, stubborn and violent which we love

the side characters are amazing and have their own magnetic pull that you wanna know almost immediately their stories — which looks promising to us!

ALSO, thank god someone finally decided to write more MC and mafia OV because i eat this shit up!!!

the cliffie is harsh (but good) and so unexpected that I was like what the actual fuck?!

a 5/5 for me.

Beautiful. Perfect. Amazing.

Oh, my heart. This book was fantastic. I loved our omega, Talia. She was sweet, confident, passionate, caring, and just a good person. This story is a fantastic view of what happens when good people are pushed to the limit of that goodness and are forced to embrace their inner viciousness.

As is made clear, this is a cheating the cheater story. Talia finds that her scent match, her supposed “soul mate”, is cheating on her. Being a mafia princess, she tries to break things off in a way that won’t end with his death when her fathers find out what he did. When that doesn’t go to plan, and she’s pushed to face the idea that she may not be so opposed to revenge, things really get juicy.

Everything about this was great. I loved her guys. Conrad has that golden retriever energy, West is the grumpy one, and Mercer is absolute perfection coated in swagger. They compliment each other and our MFC well, and I am dying to see more of them in part two.

This ends in a pretty brutal cliffie, I mean my heart is going to just wither away until part two is complete. Trust me, it’s worth it and I know the suffering will be worth it in the end.

Nooooooo!

I have a cliffhang-over! I'm in shock and my mind is still trying to catch-up. Holy alphas! Toxic Revenge has so many elements to it that this story will keep you on the edge of your seat through most of the book.

A crime family, three MC alphas, a cheating scent match, and an omega make for a very interesting story. Add in secrets that are being kept and family drama that you can't pull away from.

Talia is kind hearted and doesn't want to get caught up in her family's business. I love that she has craved out her own path. But she finds herself in a bar in neutral territory after finding her scent match is cheating on her. Mercy, West, and Conrad immediately step to protect her when she decides to drink her pain. They are so sweet, but they don't want to endanger her by getting too close.

I don't want to spoil anything but Talia's plan to deal with her problem doesn't quite turn out the way she planned. And her MC alphas have their own massive problem to deal with.

I need the second book! I have to know what's going to happen next.

The heroine of this book drove me nuts. She’s a mafia princess who’s fully aware of what life is like in an organized crime family, but she doesn’t protect herself even remotely adequately. She meets her heroes by ridiculously risky behavior over her terrible fiancé, but she doesn’t stop long enough to think about why he’s so different in his treatment of her than any other alpha.

The heroes are adequate, but they’re consistently overwhelmed by the heroine’s bad choices, including using them for revenge and ignoring the protection her family would offer. Is it fun to watch her connect with her heroes? Absolutely, and that’s what gave this book its stars from me. But it lost stars with the heroine basically being incredibly blind to the dangers inherent in her choices, particularly related to that fiancé.

I appreciate that Lewin labeled this Part One, so that readers know going in to expect a cliffhanger. And it’s a fascinating twist—enough to make me want to find out what will happen to address it in part two!

4.5⭐️ rounded up

Firstly, thank you so much to the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Secondly, I’m honestly mad that I didn’t take the “ends in a cliffhanger” seriously enough, because I am practically feral (pun intended) for book two!!

What do you do when you walk in on your scent match cheating with another omega? Obviously go somewhere to drink your sorrows away. But what do you do if the dive bar you end up in has three gorgeous alphas appearing to make sure you don’t get into trouble while you drink? And they happen to be in a motorcycle club?

Talia is about to find out. Half ER nurse, half mafia princess, Talia has a lot of decisions to make about both her scent match and the three alphas she can’t get out of her mind.

The spice was spicing, the tension in the plot was thick, and I’m equally desperate to find out what the heck happens next in the story as I am to read more of Talia and the pack!

Stupid Games: DNF 30%

For a smart woman, Talia is an idiot. I suppose I can lend a bit of trust when Talia doesn’t want her cheating scent match to suddenly find himself shuffled off this mortal coil because he did the wild thing with someone who isn’t his scent match. But for this game to go on and now Talia binds him to make him pay? She’s not only hurting herself, but this new pack she met. Somehow, the author doesn’t realize that. Talia is equally as big of a piece of trash as Benjamin. Instead of womaning up and breaking it off. Instead of finding an alternative. She does something permanent. Horrific. Equally as horrific as Benjamin. For no reason. We only have Talia’s word that her fathers would send him to the fishes. She acts like a teenager but is old enough to work in an ER. It’s ridiculous. There is nothing remotely likable about her and honestly the pack just taking it runs be wrong. Maybe y’all will like that…but I feel duped

I really enjoy Talia. Even when she drives me a bit crazy. Just speak and end this charade! She's an ER nurse and is strong and confident in most areas. I love how she interacts with her family and the backbone she shows with West especially. There is something inherently fun and calm about her.

Mercy, West and Conrad are an interesting pack. I like how well defined they are. They each have actual personalities and motivations rather than just being pack trope fillers. Ok, they do still check of the need stereotypical alpha types. But it doesn't feel like that is their entire personality and they fit into the pack for more than just needing bodies.

The story is different than I have read before set-up wise. I really liked it and the complications and all the world-building/worlds colliding elements made for an entertaining read. I cannot wait for the next part.

Oh em geee

Okay, I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. I love omegaverse, and I love mafia romances. So I was like, sweet putting both together. Talia is so different from her sisters. She's not what you expect from a mafia princess. There were times I was yelling at her character going, girl, noooooo! Conrad was my favorite Alpha. Oh my God, he was such a cinnamon roll. West was such a grump, but I loved him anyways, and Mercer was well 🥵. I could not put this book down, I was on the edge of my seat and then I got further in and I was like noooo, oh my God nooo and there may have been some tears on my part. And then I was left hanging going, no wtf...that cliff hanger is slightly painful y'all, but oh my God, is it worth it, and it leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for Book 2.

This is a mafia omegaverse. The FMC is the youngest omega daughter of a mafia family. She works as an emergency room RN, and has distanced herself morally from her mafia fathers. She has been dating her scent matched alpha for several years, until the day that she discovers him cheating.

Escaping her bodyguard/driver, she goes off to get drunk, and meets a biker pack of alphas whom she can’t seem to resist. She tries to get revenge on her cheating boyfriend, and uses the alpha pack to enact the revenge. However, things do not go according to plan, and they spiral out of control.

I liked the FMC and the alphas very much, and I loved them together. I feel like the choices she made were pretty flighty for someone that otherwise seemed so smart and grounded. That said, I am really looking forward to the next book. That ending left us hanging by a thread!
