He thought his life was over…and then she walked back in. Charlie Benning has always been a rescuer—first with the Last Chance County Fire and Rescue team, and now as a firefighter with the Jude County Hotshots. But this summer isn’t about saving lives—it’s about hiding his own terrible secret. A secret he’s keeping from his estranged daughter, Alexis. But fate is about to intervene. Will their secrets destroy their second chance? Jayne Price raised her son, Orion, on her own just fine, thank you. And now, she runs Wildlands Academy, a summer camp that teaches kids how to fight forest fires and confront their own teenage angst—kids like Alexis Price, who clearly has a chip on her shoulder about her semi-estranged, firefighter father. And Jayne has her own issues, like not wanting her only son to join the elite smoke jumping corps. It’s enough that he’s risking his life as a hotshot on the Jude County team. Then the wildfire turns its force onto the camp and suddenly the hotshots show up to help her fight it. Only problem…the last person she expects is for her former flame, Charlie Benning—the man she can’t forget—to show up working alongside her son. Rather, his son. Who he doesn’t know exists. And then Charlie discovers the secret she’s been keeping, and he’s torn between anger and the long-simmering love that refuses to die. And Jayne isn’t about to let go of the man she loves a second time. But if the blazing wildfire isn't enough, a dangerous and relentless killer is on the prowl in the woods…Now, with the camp cut off from the outside world and the fire closing in, it’s a race against time as Charlie, Jayne, Orion, and a team of courageous smokejumpers join forces to protect the campers against a merciless inferno and a murderer. But the biggest threat of all might be Charlie’s devastating secret that could destroy the happy ending they’ve waited for so long.

Ooh…I didn’t expect such a past from Charlie when I first met him on the team. He has tons of regrets and some morose outlook on life but Jayne, Orion, and Alexis work hard to turn him around even as they’re battling fire running out of control. Add into the mix a dangerous assassin and a government agent chasing him down and you’ve truly got a firestorm. There is plenty of action as the hotshots and teenagers at a firefighter camp bravely face the fire. The entangled history between Charlie and Jayne is messy but their love for each other wins out in the end. I would love to read more about Alexis and Orion in the future to see how they turn out.

It’s another action-packed survival rush through the fire sweeping across Montana and I can’t wait to see where the next book takes us.

Firestorm by Lisa Phillips sparked imagination, hint of suspense, and some romance along the raging fires that were moving across the land in the story. The plot continues a mystery thread that has appeared in the previous three novels. With an enticing plot, Phillips captures the world of the parachute jumpers, fire fighters, and some young adults who want to complete training to possibly become one of these brave fire fighters. What makes this story different than the previous stories in this series is the characters. This time around, there are some familiar names and some names that will appear in future stories, but the characters have to learn how to cope with the moment and how to survive, but also, how to live with the aspects of the past. Learning to face the future even though the past was a little murky. Phillips does a wonderful job at bringing God into the story when the characters were wondering what they were going to do to survive the bull of a fire tornado and fire wall headed directly toward them. Overall, Fire Storm by Lisa Phillips was a spark of a story that blossomed into a full wildfire. A nice story that will propel readers into the next volume of this series.

Firestorm was a rush with hotshots and smokejumpers working together with a fire camp to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

The story moved fast and there was a lot of characters to connect with and catch up with.
Between fighting fire, there was also a suspense element which started in the beginning of the series and in this series more things were revealed.

The main characters were also a bit older with grown children, had a messy history but still a spark between them. The author tackled a difficult topic in a way that made this reader feel the struggle of everyone. I did feel there was some things which was just too easily accepted and sorted out – but this was a fast-moving shorter story, so with the limited time it made sense.

Now, I am on to Fireline because I want to know what is going on with Booth!

Firestorm is not the first book I have read written by Lisa Phillips, and it will not be the last. I signed up to read this book for a book review. When I realized it was book 4 I searched my library to see if they had any of the books. Lucky for me they had the first three on audiobooks. So, I dove into those so that I could read this book. In soon found out that you don’t really need to read the other books to be able to read this book. It is a series and does talk about other characters from previous books. But it could easily be read as a standalone. I am not mad about it though. When I say I could not put it down, I literally could not put it down. I started it on a Friday, and listened to them a little sped up so I could consume them as fast as possible. Just as the fire in the stories is all consuming, the series consumed me. I was invested. So, when I finally cracked this one open. I read it in two sittings. (which says a lot for me, being a mom to six kids 11 and under)

The character development was really good. I was impressed with how well it was done with how long the book was. We really got to know Charlie, Alexis, Orion and Jayne. I enjoyed learning some of the back story and the reasons behind how they think. I enjoyed the unraveling of the web of family connections that was discovered in the midst of such an intense situation.

The storyline was good. It really caught my attention and drew me in. Having family friends that are firefighters and having lived in a state prone to forest fires, I was invested. I could really relate to the situation. The setting was perfect.

The relationship between Charlie and Jayne is sweet. The rekindling of their teenage relationship after 22 years was a fun look on love. I appreciate the cleanness of the romance. It was just the tiniest sprinkling, which made for the perfect clean read.

Lisa Phillips did a great job of intertwining faith throughout the book. I thoroughly enjoyed the reminder that God is at the center. He knows are days and loves and protects us. It was really well done.

*I received a complimentary copy from the author and voluntarily chose to review it. All opinions are my own.

What a great addition to the Chasing Fire: Montana series! This is book four in the series and there is an overarching suspense plot that continues through each book in the series, while the immediate danger is dealt with in each separate book. I have read books one and two, but did not end up reading book three, and then read this book. I did not have any trouble jumping back in and understanding what was going on.

Whew! I loved the way Charlie and Jayne’s past came out into the open and the way the truth that Charlie was Orion’s father came to the forefront. There was great tension, both romantically between the two main characters, dealing with a devastating health situation, and also suspenseful tension about the plight of all of the students stuck at Wildlands Academy as a fire raged nearby. These characters had to battle not only the natural elements, but also manmade danger, as well. This was a fast paced story that kept me eagerly listening. I had the ebook, but ended up listening to the audio version because I was on a road trip. I really enjoyed the narrator and thought that they did an excellent job.

I gotta say, fire is terrifying.

Which made me wonder halfway through Firestorm why on earth I was reading a book with events that literally terrified me! (I am telling you. I felt it in my chest.) If you are looking for a book which has interesting characters, a totally unexpected backstory for said characters, and a wildfire out of control? Firestorm is your book.

Charlie has a plan. His intentions are pretty good but the idea is horrible. But with all his heart, he believes that this plan is the best for his estranged daughter, Alexis. (Have you ever read the Bible verse that says that the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked; and that who can understand it? That's in Jeremiah 17:9, by the way.) Just as a wildfire can be going one direction then suddenly turn another, Charlie finds that his plans have taken a wild turn...because of one woman, Jayne, from his past.

And his son. That he didn't know he had.

He still thinks his plan is pretty good though. Despite the reappearance of the long-lost love of his life, Jayne. And his son, Orion. But there is a wildfire doing unexpected and frightening things. And all of these things are combining in ways Charlie never would have expected.

The other part of that Jeremiah 17 passage reminds us that it is God who understands and examines the heart; and later in that chapter, that He is the One to whom we cry out for healing. Charlie's plan might just be upended by these humans that he loves--but also by the God who loves him.

Maybe! You'll have to read it to find out!

Charlie has made somewhat of a mess of his life, but he plans to do this summer right - even if no one else knows what he's planned. But his plans are derailed when he meets a woman from his past and discovers that he has a son he never knew about. Jayne has managed bringing up her son just fine, but when Charlie comes back to town, some secrets can't be kept - and maybe there's a time for telling them anyway. But their reunion is complicated by a huge fire bearing down on the fire-fighting camp Jayne manages and runs. Can they keep everyone safe, and maybe write the start of their own future, amid the firestorm?

An enjoyable read full of emotion, action, and baggage. The rough outlines of Charlie's plan are clear from very early on, and watching other gradually start to cotton on and try to change his mind is interesting - particularly his family. I enjoyed watching them all try to patch things up in the middle of a natural disaster, but there were times when I felt like they really just needed time away from the action to grow into a family rather than four semi-connected individuals. I guess that's meant to happen afterwards off-page, but I would have liked to see more of it. The ending also felt quite abrupt, which was disappointing - but read as part of a series, that may be less obvious. All in all, another action-packed read with some good relationship building.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

Firestorm
Chasing Fire: Montana #4
By Lisa Phillips
Charlie Benning has screwed up enough lives, and he refuses to hurt his 17-year-old daughter anymore than he already has. He has a plan, maybe not a great one, but it should work. And his plan includes working with the Jude County Hotshots amid one of the worst fire seasons ever.

Jayne Price runs Wildlands Academy, teaching teenagers firefighting skills. Now, her academy is caught in the middle of several fires and maybe a killer. Her job has just gotten a whole lot more complicated, especially when Charlie walks into her academy. Okay, so he didn't walk in; it was more like he rode in on an ATV. And now the past that they shared years ago is about to come to light.

This is the fourth book in the Chasing Fire series, and a whole slew of secrets are about to be revealed. Secrets that are life-altering. And then there are the second chances. Because everyone deserves a second chance.

The suspense will keep you turning these pages. And while this book can be read as a standalone, there are hints at previous books in this series. You will feel the tension build as the story moves towards its climax. This story is driven equally by the the characters as it is the action, making for a compelling read that you won't be able to put down.

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion. All thoughts expressed are my own.

So many secrets! It seems like every character might have one or more. A son whose father doesn’t know exists and they’ve actually been working together. A serious health problem the father is determined to keep hidden from his daughter and everyone else if he can. Not only that but he has secret plans on how he intends to handle things. Of course all the secrets will eventually come out as Charlie and Jayne are reunited as a wildfire threatens the fire camp she runs. Will Charlie find a new reason to live? That is if they all manage to survive the fire as well as dangerous men with evil intentions.

Tension and danger mount with each new installment of the Chasing Fire: Montana series. Firestorm amps it up another notch with not only danger and suspense but intense human emotions exhibited by the characters themselves. Plenty of action kept me turning the pages as I hoped for the best. I enjoyed how bits and pieces of the mystery have been revealed over the course of the series and am eager to learn the outcome – even if I hate for the series to end.

I am thankful that I have had a chance to read and review the books of this series and hope that other readers will also give them a chance. I don’t think they will be disappointed.

I am in love with this series! Each book comes out and I devour it within hours. I’m waiting for the next one! They all follow the same team, the Hot Shots, but they focus on different members of the team. So you get an in-depth look at each of them. This book actually gave us more of an up-close look at two members. Who we learn are actually father and son.

But I don’t want to give away too much of the book so I’m not going to go into details.

Charlie.
Oh, he’s the oldest guy on the team. Much like a father figure to the crew. He’s had a lifetime of experience. But what happens when he finds out that he IS the father of someone on the crew? And what would happen if the team or his family found out his awful secret?

Orion.
He was raised by a single mom, Jayne, who runs a camp that teaches kids how to be Hot Shots or fire jumpers or really just how to survive and fight fires if you will. So it’s no surprise that that is the path he chose in life. But what happens when he finally learns who his biological father is? And that he actually knows him? Has met him and gotten to know him as a person before all this came out?

I loved this novel. These guys were great to get to know and I enjoyed getting to know Jayne and Alexis as well. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up and all the recommendations!

Things are heating up in the Chasing Fire: Montana series. Charlie Bening is a rescue extraordinaire. Rescuing is what keeps him alive, which he gets to do plenty as a Jude County Hotshot. Being a father is not something he has excelled at, but he wants to do better. He drops his daughter, Alexis, off at a summer camp that teaches teens how to fight fire. Charlie has a secret that he is trying to keep hidden from Alexis and his fellow firefighters, but he is about to lose the battle with keeping this secret.

Jayne Price runs Wildland Academy (which is the camp where Alexis is at). Jayne and Charlie had a thing back in the day, but they have not seen in each other in years, which is why Charlie does not realize he is fighting fires right alongside his son, Orion.

There is a lot of drama in this story and some emotional landmines. As they try to dig their way through the secrets, they are also having to fight for survival. There is raging fire headed to the camp, and there is still a murderer on the loose. Everyone will have to put their personal lives aside in order to do their job.

As always the characters' personalities and lives are woven so precisely that they feel real, not fictional. There is plenty of action and suspense, as well as a faith message that will touch your heart. This story of these firefighters just keeps building and leaving you wanting more.

Thank you to Sunrise Publishing for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Buckle up…

This book is an action-packed thrill ride from start to finish!

Exactly what dangers are our main characters facing? Only an enormous fire, a huge storm, and a criminal with a gun. So…here’s your pre-page warning: Don’t. forget. to. breathe.

Highlightables:

- The story arc of Charlie and his daughter Alexis’ relationship was beautiful and highly rewarding. Loved it.
- Charlie’s discovery of (another) paternity and his establishment of a relationship with that son, Orion. So well written (so many emotions).
- Both Charlie and Jayne’s story arc of healing.
- Charlie’s journey from brokenness to wholeness, and discovery of his own self-worth.

Notable Quotables:

- “No one should die believing that the world would be a better place without them in it. Every life was made in the image of God and valuable.”
- “His son was the best kind of man. Because that was what God had done in Orion’s life—built character through trials.”
- “Either way, God held their future in His hands.”

There was a lot to love in this book, in between all the heart palpitations and suspenseful moments in v-fib (remember: the storm, the fire, and the criminal with the gun?) Yes, it was the perfect combination of action, suspense, and wonderful life lessons - a page-turning read with a powerful message.

If you haven’t read this one yet, I highly recommend it!!!

I really enjoy Christian Suspense romance Book. by Susan May Warren it is Book 4 in the Chasing Fire: Montana series. The Series is written by various authors and I have had the pleasure to read the other books in this series!

WOW, this book is action packed from the very first chapter. Charlie Benning and Jayne Price are the main characters in the book. The setting is Wildlands Academy, a summer camp for kids run by Jayne. Charlie drops his daughter Alexis off at camp so she can learn to Fight Fires, just like her Dad. Charlie is a FireFighter with firefighter with the Jude County Hotshots. Charlie and Jayne had a relationship once and Jayne has been hiding a secret from Charlie for many years. Charlie also has a secret that he has been hiding. The book takes on suspense when a Wild Forest Fire starts and a murderer is near the camp and Charlie and Jayne have to protect the kids at camp. I really LOVE that Jayne and Charlie become a team for the sake of the kids and realize they still have a LOVE for one another. The action packed book is filled with Mystery, Suspense, Faith, Relationships, and more. I truly have enjoyed this entire series. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who loves contemporary Christian Romance and Mystery books! AMAZING BOOK!

Get ready to run for cover as the wildfires in Montana quickly race towards a teen summer camp. Reading the descriptions in this book had me feeling like I needed to take shelter from the fire that was raging in this book. How do the camp director Jayne, and a member of the fire and rescue crew Charlie, keep everyone safe when there are battling the fire and a mysterious gunman who is roaming the woods too?

Things to look for when reading:
danger
secrets
second chance
found family
smoke jumpers
fire tornado

There were a couple of subplots that added complexity and kept me engaged throughout the book. Charlie and Jayne each have secrets that affect more than just the two of them. How this all works out will make you want to read more in the Chasing Fire: Montana series.

I believe it would have been beneficial to have read the previous books in the series. I didn’t have the background for the gunman’s part in the story and had questions, but it didn’t affect my reading or following the plot.

I've been enjoying this whole series and this one was another winner! Jayne had a strong faith but also a strong fear about her son going into smokejumping. She and Charlie both know what it's like to make mistakes and regret them but she tried to live in the present instead of dwelling on the past. I admired the life she carved out for herself and her determination to get where she was today. I was a little more frustrated with Charlie as he was so stubborn about a decision he made and was continuing to make. He was blind to his own worth and importance to people, at least at first. It was nice to see people from previous books on Charlie's team and catch up with them. There were some cute romantic moments and I liked the strong sense of community, from Jayne's students to the firefighters. There was plenty of excitement, too, as a plot that's been ongoing about a killer shared the page with a gigantic fire that threatened the camp and everything else! I would recommend this book if you like romantic suspense!

Wow! Firestorm starts out hot and the danger only ratchets higher – you won’t be able to put it down! This novel is the best in the series so far for me because it has it all: multi-generational relationships and familial angst, love gone wrong, killers running free, a natural disaster, and much, much more.

Firestorm is the perfect blend of suspense, disaster, and emotional drama. While the situations are out of Charlie’s and Jayne’s control, they’re also not so far-fetched that we real humans can’t relate to them. They have much to learn about each other, about relationships, and about living through the storm – and I know that I need those lessons, too.

Firestorm will keep you entertained from the first page until the last. It’s an absolutely perfect summer read for me – so make sure you’re caught up on the Chasing Fire series, a collaboration between Susan May Warren and Lisa Phillips, and be ready for some high-octane fun.

I loved the newest addition to the Chasing Fire Montana series: "Firestorm" by the wonderful Lisa Phillips. Charlie has always been a rescuer, first on a fire and rescue team and now as a firefighter with the Jude Country Hotshots. He’s got a secret he's keeping from those he loves, including his daughter, and it’s one that could cost him his life. Jayne worked hard raising her son on her own while running the Wildland Academy. The last thing she wants is him joining the smokejumpers—it’s enough that he’s risking his life as a hotshot. But she never expected her former flame, Charlie, to show up to work alongside her son. Rather, his son. This was such a good book; I was glued to it the entire time. I felt like I was there with them, especially when they were trying to outrun the fire. We’re also getting more pieces of the suspense that has been building in the previous books, and I am so excited to see how it ends. This had second chance romance, a secret baby, firefighter heroes, a reunion romance, and romantic suspense. It’s so good—can't wait for the next one!

Old flames reunite in this second chance romance, but will secrets keep them from reconciling, as they fight for their lives as everything burns around them?

A fast-paced, action-packed novel, with engaging characters, strong faith, and fraught with danger. Charlie Benning is grappling with a secret, and trying to do the best he can for his estranged daughter. He has a lot in his past that he regrets, and is blindsided with another secret comes to light. Jayne has worked hard to raise her son, and make Wildlands Academy a success. I liked how she has done a fantastic job raising her son, and her heart for giving children a safe place to be.

A fast-moving read, as they fight for survival, and deal with catching a killer. But it still has plenty of depth, with compelling characters, and dealing well with difficult topics. Highly enjoyable read, with great themes of faith, second chances, and forgiveness.

I’m loving this series! Firestorm was another great addition! I’m not usually a fan of the secret kid trope, but it worked so well here that I ended up really liking it.

I liked the fact that the main characters were slightly older than what you’d normally find in these kinds of books. There was a lot of hurt, pain, and secrets from the past that Charlie and Jayne needed to work through, but you could see the love that they still had for each other.

I loved the strong message of faith. And I loved how prominently God factored into Jayne's decisions and how she trusted and leaned on Him.

There was a different kind of tension than in the previous books, but it was no less urgent. Of course there was the raging fire to worry about and a killer on the loose, but one of the characters was struggling with an inner battle that had me so worried for them.

I really enjoyed this book and am eager to read more from this author. Even though this is book four in this series, it can stand alone perfectly fine.

"This one references a lesser-known stanza from It is Well...
For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live:
If Jordan above me shall roll,
No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life
Thou wilt whisper thy peace to my soul."
This installment was hard-hitting and suspenseful, and at some points, I just wanted to scream at the characters; there were so many secrets. This series keeps getting better and better. I love the continued storyline from book to book without taking away from the main couple the story revolves around. Firestorm ran the gamut of emotions between four characters that were interconnected. Charlie's chronic illness and how he was planning on dealing with it is a common feeling among those in that community; how Jayne helped him see the good and hope in the future. I hope we get Orion and even Alexis & the other camp kid's stories in the future. I can't wait to see where we go from the continued storyline with the next couple.

Oh my goodness! This series is getting intense! Between the fires, murders, criminals on the run and now a fire tornado?! This series is amazing!

I absolutely loved Charlie and Jayne. Learning about their history and seeing how naturally they just gravitated back toward each other was very special. I also loved meeting Charlie's daughter, Alexis, and getting to know Orion better too! The story of their little family was very special and I loved seeing the four of them come together. I'm going to need a next generation series though! I want to see Alexis, Orion and the other camp kids grow up, find love and see where their adventures take them!

As I said earlier, this book is kicking the intensity of the series up another notch! I cannot wait to see where the mystery goes next! Lisa is a fantastic storyteller. I could practically feel the heat of the flames and I could not stop reading the last few chapters because I was so nervous for all of the characters! Such a great read!

I feel with this series so far there is always a character that I can connect with as a reader and that was very much the case with this book as well. The author does a good job at making them feel so real. I liked Jayne her faith was as deep as her love for her son was and she truly just wanted what was best for him as well as the campers that she over saw. Charlie has a big heart but he keeps himself hidden the best way he can so not to hurt those he loves including his daughter. He gets in there and takes charge no matter the cost. I liked a lot of the sub characters in this book as well and can't wait to see what happens next. I will say the ending was not my favorite only because I left me wanting more and wondering what is going to happen, so I hope there is more to come with this group of friends in the rest of the series. Overall the author kept this a good clean read and it was well worth it.

“A firecracker tornado of teenage emotions wrapped up in grief.”

“So you’ll risk dying just to make sure I don’t get hurt?”

This series has it all. If you’re looking for high stakes romance, wildland firefighting hotshots, mysteries and danger abounding, all wrapped up in a package of faith and family, look no further. This multi author series created by Warren and Phillips has it all. We see characters and descendants from their past series come into play as we take a wild ride through the summer in Ember, Montana.

This book focuses in for a second chance romance. We have both a single mom and a single dad, a secret baby trope, and a terminal illness vibe. I adored the teenage wilderness firefighting camp and how it played so prominently into this story. More clues from our series long mystery float as we are plunged into a firestorm.

This book kept me fully engaged and totally reading it every second I could, and, I confess, all of it was read in a single afternoon. I can’t get enough of these characters and stories. I cannot wait for more in both this series and from this author.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Another action packed story. I loved that several characters from other books popped into this story. it was great but now I need to read the Chevalier series so I know who those guys are. Charlie Benning leaves his daughter at a fire camp ran by Jayne Price, his old love. With the fire bearing down on the camp the hotshots need to help keep the camp and the kids/staff safe. Charlie soon discovers that Jayne kept a secret from him in the fact he has a son who happens to be one of the hotshots and Charlie is keeping a secret that could get them all killed.
There is a lot of drama in this story, with their pasts, a raging forest fire, a killer on the loose, and a mysterious renter. Plenty of action and suspense and a great faith lesson in trusting God to get them out of this alive.

Wow, what an ending! I was hooked from the beginning, and I couldn’t stop reading. I stayed up late to finish because I had to find out what happened to everyone. The book lives up to its name, with a literal firestorm included. It was easy to relate to the characters and feel emotional when reading about their difficult circumstances and relationships. I was also very encouraged by the main messages of the book: No matter what you are going through, you are loved and you are not a burden, and God is always in control. I needed these reminders, and I am deeply grateful for them and the way they were woven into the story. I highly recommend this book to everyone, and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book for the author and publisher. A positive review was not required, and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Lisa Phillips has created an outstanding new installment to the Chasing Fire: Montana series with the 4th book, Firestorm. Featuring the characters of Charlie and Jayne, readers are engulfed in deeply hidden secrets, a budding romance, a deadly fire, and a crime that continued to unfold (yet still left you hanging at the end!).

Packed with heartfelt emotion, Firestorm contained constant action and ever deepening personal dynamics, which created a complex plot sure to capture the senses. This is an excellent continuation of the Chasing Fire: Montana storyline. One not to be missed!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. I was not required to provide a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

Firestorm is a story of faith over fear, redemption, second chances and new beginnings. Charlie Benning is a firefighter with the Jude County Hotshots. Jayne Price runs Wildlands Academy summer camp where teenagers learn how to fight forest fires. Charlie and Jayne have to work with their children, Alexis Benning and Orion along with the rest of the teenagers to try to save the forest and the summer camp from unpredictable wildfires. This edge of your seat book grabbed my attention from page one. It’s definitely an unputdownable book with unexpected twists that made me anxious to read about what would happen next. I would like to give more than five stars to Firestorm because it’s that good!
My thanks to the publisher for an ARC of this book. Opinions expressed are mine.

Firestorm starts out with hot action pretty quickly with Jude County Hotshot Charlie Benning hiding a personal secret! Then he learns that his coworker, Orion, is actually his son from a teenage romance! They face lots of dangers as fire threatens a summer camp where teenagers learn to fight forest fires while learning to confront their life problems. Orion's mother, Jayne Price, owns and runs the camp where there may be more going on than just a forest fire! You will love reading about all of the dangers when fire closes in and how God moves to keep them safe! I recommend Firestorm to others who enjoy book with lots of action. I received a complimentary e-book of Firestorm from the authors and Sunrise Publishing. This is my honest opinion.

Lisa Phillips is an experienced writer who continues to hone her craft. This book is a pleasure to read; white-knuckle suspense with a hint of romance and inspirational references. She writes with an extensive vocabulary, easily understood with little repetition. It is obvious that his author loves what she does.
Kudos, Lisa Phillips, on a job well done!
