Obliterate

Rate this book
Obliterate – to destroy utterly; wipe out.

When our eyes met across a crowded room, I recognized her. The most familiar stranger I’ve
ever seen. It doesn’t matter who she is, or where she came from, because I know exactly where
she belongs—with me.

She’s beautiful, perfect, and apparently already taken. But I won’t let something as
inconsequential as a boyfriend stop me from claiming her.

I’m Hunter Rossberg, a king among men and the calm voice of reason in our little band of
psychos; or that’s who I used to be. Now I’m just as obsessed as them, consumed by forbidden
fruit and willing to do whatever it takes to make her my wife.

I’ll lie, coerce, manipulate, and blackmail her until she’s tied to me so tightly, she’ll never get free.

But the truth never stays hidden for long and when she finds out everything I’ve done she
vanishes from my life.

My Little Rabbit has run from me, but it’ll take more than distance to break the chains that hold us
together, and I’m willing to obliterate the world to get her back.

Spicy Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

So when your amazing 🐧bestie twinsie🐧 sends you a book with a one-star review, that's exactly the type of book you want to read... you jump on that bandwagon as quickly as possible and dive right in.

I was super excited to read this because I adored the disclaimer at the front of this book. It was one of the first times that I've seen such a well-thought-out argument and explanation for dark romance and not shaming a reader when they want to read about depraved content that is actually fantasy set in the real world. I've said numerous times, I like reading books to escape reality. It gives me a chance to explore boundaries and in my mind, you know, step over lines that I wouldn't necessarily do in real life. And just because I'm reading about it doesn't mean that I condone any of these actions.

The start of this book had me hooked, and for the first 25%, I was itching and eager to get into the rest of it as it has a fantastic premise. It gave off a "can't look away drama" vibe. But soon it started to get repetitive, and then it got a lot repetitive, and then it was like nothing felt original. I found myself complaining multiple times to Lia about how when switching to Bunny's POV she would just rehash what happened in the plot in previous chapters. It felt weak, surface level, and like she was reminding you that this is what just happened and this is what I experienced, in case you didn't believe it the first time you read it.

This follows the dual POV of Bunny and Hunter, and yes I rolled my eyes at the poetic irony of their names. Hunter sees Bunny at his best friend's wedding and vows to make her his through any means necessary. So he goes and ruins her life, leaving her no choice but to marry him to save her family from financial ruin. Coupled with that, he pushes her to sign a 75-page prenup with about 700 clauses on what she can no longer do.

Now that she is Mrs. Hunter, the two live happily ever after, right? I mean, who wouldn't? Sounds magical. Who wouldn't want some guy, coming in and giving you a first-class ticket to your first-choice university, where you get to live in an amazing mansion and you'll never have to pay for anything again? All she has to do is give him a little bit of sex. Sounds like a fantastic dream!

I wanted dark and depraved, but the only thing that made Hunter a bad person was that he was possessive, a dick, and very short-sighted. Besides being a spoiled 21-year-old who doesn't like being told "No" and gets upset when he doesn't get to play with his toys. Having read darker romances, I felt this was very juvenile. It felt like a kid trying to pretend that he was dark, and the only reason why this was on the verge of being dark was due to slightly blurred lines of dubious consent where Bunny didn't want it, but actually, she did.

It was predictable in plot and pretty weak in character. The worst thing that a book can make me do is make me skim, and I was skimming the plot, dialogue, the smut, ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. I wanted more. I wanted it a little bit darker. I wanted him to step towards a little bit more psycho, and I wanted Bunny to not just "freeze" like a deer in headlights. I like it when there is more fight in the FMCs I read about and she had none - she could only freeze and flee.

Trope Summary:
▶ Obsessive and Possessive MC
▶ College/University Setting
▶ Forced Marriage
▶ Billionaire/Rich Guy
▶ Virgin FMC
▶ Alphamale

Microtropes I adored:
▶ Rolled Sleeves
▶ Mine
▶ Chin Lift
▶ He washes her hair

I think the only thing that made this worth it was that I was able to spew all my thoughts to Lia and vent about how this book was not doing it for me...

Sometimes you just gotta grab your twin and have your fill of toxicity and anti-romance, just for the fun of it, y'know 🤷🏼‍♀️

Then book itself was okay-ish, but it couldn't have been better and the best part about it was share all my thoughts with Koisty and laugh about how ridiculous we can be when it comes to this type of fictional men.
With the right partner in crime, even the shittiest of books can become a pleasant adventure, and was this a heck of a fun one.

Obliterate comes with a trigger warning list (that you can find on the author's personal page) longer than my tbr, which for me (and the perverted part of my brain that thrives on fictional toxicity) wasn't obviously a problem. The author makes it a point to start her book with a very long and thoughtful disclaimer in which she acknowledges how questionable her content is and claims over and over that she is in no way romanticizing what happens in her novels, but writes them for entertainment purposes only.
I really appreciated her words, because I surely share the sentiment and read books like these because sometimes it's thrilling to walk along blurry lines within the security of a fictional world, easily getting out of your comfort zone knowing that once you're done with it, you're free to leave all ugliness inside the book.
I initially thought I was going to love Hunter's depravity and how much of a possessive asshole he is, but his antics soon became ridiculous, and his assholery and foul mouth felt forced, more for shock value than because his actual personality made him in a certain way. It didn't help that Bunny was pretty unlikeable herself, and Weir's repetitive writing definitely spoiled the whole thing to the point even the over-the-top smut became a bore.
The repetitiveness didn't stop at the smut and both Koisty and I struggled when it became clear that the dual POVs shared scenes that were uselessly told from both perspectives in a terribly similar way.
The ending left me completely unsatisfied. It was both rushed and anticlimactic.

As far as dark "romance" books go, this could have been far worse than it actually ended up being. I obviously didn't expect much from it in terms of plot or character development, and in fact I didn't feel disappointed when I didn't get any of either. However, it was entertaining and it sparked a few super funny conversations with my Twinsie that made me laugh my ass off.
I'm not sure I'll give this author another chance in the future, but I appreciate her dedication and hope she keeps cultivating her passion because readers like me, sometimes need books like the ones she writes.
And by this, I mean that readers like me, more often than not consider it a win to have our kinks validated by kindred souls.

❗WARNING❗
this is not a romance book. don't go into this thinking you'll read about lovely and sane people falling in love and having a healthy, sweet relationship. There's nothing lovely nor healthy about this book or the way characters act around each other.
If you're particularly sensitive and don't think you could stomach stuff like manipulation, bullying, kidnapping, possessiveness, sexual depravity, punishments via sex, and so on, this most probably isn't the book for you.

when he started r@ping her instead of apologizing to her, I was out🤬💀🚩

the start of the book was intriguing, i liked the way they met, but everything in part 2 went downhill and in a direction i didn't enjoy.

there's being obsessive & possessive and then there's being just cruel/ the hero was more concerned with "cLaiMiNg ALL of HeR HoLeS"🤡🤡🤡💩💩💩 than with actually being kind towards her.

the body betraying syndrome was strong in this one 🚩🆘

all of the smut scenes were rather disturbing and cruel rather than hot 🤬🛑

I had mixed feelings about this one. Hunter was the reasonable one in this red flag group lol but his reason flew out the window when he met Bunny, and I was rooting for him. He did everything he could to make bunny his.
Make her bf break up with her, cost her father his livelihood alot of blackmail just to get her to marry him. She thought he was her knight and shining armor, but he was a devil lol. What he did was so bad, but let's be honest, it wasn't the way the guys did. The sexual tension was delicious. Between the two, they had a spicy sex life. They had problems, but it wasn't bad until Bunny found out the truth.

she did push away a few times her body didn't, and Hunter used her body. It was some long edging sex between them. But Bunny was broken the way Hunter treated her and how he was cruel to her poor girl was breaking. I love the female friendship and their way to help Bunny even if it costs the group. But they did warn the guys many times they didn't want another female broke. Hunter had to learn, and so did Bunny to live without him. But they had their time apart, and I believe when they reunited, they slowly started to fix their relationship. It's not perfect. Bunny isn't totally forgiving, but they are together and working on their relationship.

But as much as I love starling and Bash, I'm tired of their storyline coming between the couples. Yes, they messed up Starlings trust and broke her, but geez, but Starling now being a "psycho" and wanting Evan to do what the guys did to have her bff in her life. I'm sorry that's so ugh. I 1000% agreed with Hunter when he said now their kidnapping psycho plans are okay when it's convinte for her. I wonder if Sammy shall forgive her bff.. also, idk what Evan feels for Sammy. If he truly loved her, he would've fought for her in book 1. Someway.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Trope: Stalker, forced marriage
Angst: 😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Let me say upfront: If you're not a dark romance girlie, if you don't enjoy a little dub/noncon sprinkled in your smexy times... don't read this book, lol. This would NOT be the book for you. I love a good "steals her from another man" trope and Hunter did not disappoint. Ironically, Hunter was supposed to be the gentle giant of the group, but there was nothing gentle about his feelings towards Bunny. He saw, he came, he conquered all while obliterating anything and everyone in his path. Nothing and no one was going to stand in his way. I really enjoyed Bunny and Hunter's story, it was definitely intense, and I had a hard time stopping until I was done. Really looking forward to Sammy and Evan's book!

It was cute until it wasn't. It was just sex, fights, sex and repeated. When she finally got to escape she ran straight back into his arms, I was disappointed but not surprised at the same time because these men got their girl TIGHT. Same ending as the first; it was so fast paced and there was NO explanation whatsoever just like the 1st book.
BUTTTTTTTTTTTTT,
This satisfied my inner dark romance girlie asfff. I recommend if you're into a heavily sex contained book. But hear me out, I did NOT expect this from the sweet Hunter I knew in the first book. I was shoooooookkkkk. He was so possessive and crazy for his girl, I'm ashamed to say loved that so much 😭Mann fictional men >> but anyways overall 3/5.

Dis be obsession book 1 but just with a other couple 🤷🤷 Insta obsessed with a low key, mid girl with no personality or anything particularly great about her. Somehow the tame, rational hunter character is gone and he is now very sympathetic to Sebastian from book 1 since he loves this girl who has a bf. He breaks them up, causes issues with her dads car business, and manipulates her into marrying him to "save" her family. He fucks her for so long and lots of times that she becomes addicted to his dick. Even when she finds out that he (and clay book 2) was the one to cause issues with her dad, she still wants her vitamin D 😐😐😐🤷 okur.

I dunno, it was just lots of extraneous sex scenes that didn't need to be there and just more of the same with these college guys. Maybe this stuff is exciting like the lap/cock warming but it was just kinda ho hum to me? 🤷🤷

Anyway, I skipped lots of the sex scenes. It was superfluous and unnecessary.

I did like the ending when she ran with starlings (book 1) getaway bag and when hunter was hurting from bunny leaving his ass. But of course she still loves him more than she hates him (author's words) so she meets with him after 6 weeks separation 🙄

Then Starling talks to her friend Sammy who gets engaged to drew and Starling tells Evan to do what's necessary to get her to leave drew and come back to their group. After everything ahe went through with sebastian? 😂😂😂🤷🤷

DNF... No connection between mcs, doesn't feel like he is doing all this because he likes her, he's this weirdo just because he can, i love a obsessed hero but this one he is just obsessed with the fact that he can control her and that all his friends got their girls by hurting them when it's not even necessary????? he just making up complications so he can be a asshole because its how it's supposed to be???? it was never about the heroine, he doesn't love or even like her, weirdest couple dynamic ever

I thought I liked Hunter in the previous books, but nah 😭 that man didn’t even apologize I mean…
I kinda liked Bunny way better than January or even Hunter for that matter. Hunter just lacked personality so bad like idk??? And the nickname was pretty unoriginal.

The smexy scenes were too repetitive and I think I would preferred less of them as it made the book unnecessarily long so it got boring mostly.

Again I keep reading this series for my one and only favorite couple Bastian and Starling and I gobbled their parts everytimeeee!! I was so happy to find the epilogue in Starling’s pov but I would have preferred to see more of her and Bastian moments in it 😭
Idk what went downhill ever since the first book but I hope the last one delivers or maybe just give me another Bastian and Starling book 🤭

Anyways I think or actually hope Evan and Sammy’s book does fill up the disappointment of the last 2 books.

How am I meant to continue on with my week as if I haven't just read an incredible book, with an ending that had me screaming. Furthermore, I need to pretend to be a normal person (struggle in the best of times) and not tell people I am destroyed over a book and will remain so until the next one releases?

To fill my need to talk about this book without giving spoilers, I sat my husband down and explained the series so far in depth so I could have an adequate reaction for that ending because I reiterate actual screams.

5/5 obviously... I haven't read a single book by Gemma that hasn't been 5, and with the way her books are going, I doubt I ever will.

Without spoiling it for anyone, Obliterate is such an incredible book, I loved every second of Hunter and Bunnies' journey. The fact I thought Hunter was the nice one was very, very wrong.

This book had top tier smut, amazing plot, alphaholes alphaholing, women supportive women, and did I mention the smut? There was so much good smut.

Now I guess I badger everyone I know to read this because I need to discuss the ending with someone... and pretend to be fine until book four comes out

This book was a chef’s kiss 🤌 with ALL the 🚩!! Hunter is possessive, over the top, Hot 🥵 Alpha male that you need! He’s funny, loving, manipulative, obsessed with Bunny 🐰. He literally Obliterates her life into his control. Bunny the fml is beautiful, sweet, and strong, but not so strong that she takes the story. The banter was funny but, the smexy times hot like 😏🥵🙌. If you read the first 2 books from this author then this book blows both of the them out of the water!! I will be buying the hard back book and reading it over and over! This was so good thank you, Gemma Weir!! You hit it out of the park and Obliterated all other book boyfriends for me! 🥰🫶🏼

She gave little too no resistance. Until chapter 26 I thought this book is boring he doesn’t even do anything extreme and is this really Gemma Weir then it freaking finally got good. This book finally got good at chapter 26. Once she finally starts resisting it got good but way too late in the story the first half of the book was boring.

What a dumb girl to not read the prenup like people are not that dumb and then to just say ok to being tracked was so dumb no resistance

Im worried Sammy’s book will be boring because she already has feeling for Evan so she might pretend she doesn’t but she does and it will make the book another boring no real resistance book.

I always wanted Evan to end up with someone random not Sammy that was completely unexpected and he realizes he never really loved Sammy because now that he has found his true live in the random girl he knows what true love is.

Bully romances are a tricky balance. If you like obsessive, unrepentant alpha holes who regret nothing, not even making their loved one miserable, in order to trap them in a relationship, you will love this book. Sexual coercion turns into sexual conditioning ( a purposeful tactic) so that she forgets how miserable she is, until she learns the truth about the H's cruel manipulations. What I remember most about this book is how deeply unhappy she was, unless she was having sex with him. So, not really a romantic romance, but definitely a bully-mance much like Twist Me by Anna Zaires and books by Charmaine Pauls.

*SPOILERS AT THE END*

⭐️⭐️/5 ; OVERALL RATING

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 ; SPICE

🖤🖤🖤/5 ; ROMANCE

Hunter sees Bunny for the first time at his friend’s wedding. Once he spots her it’s all over and he stops at nothing to have her. Specifically having her boyfriend break up with her. Then he sabotages her father’s life’s work when she runs back home after said breakup, so that she’ll marry him (it happens early in the book).

Hunter is very manipulative, condescending, and controlling. These are all the makings for the usual possessive/obsessive/OTT romance books. HOWEVER, Hunter wasn’t very likable at all and Bunny had some serious body betraying syndrome (she also wasn’t very special). He “trains” her to respond to him but also giiiiirl hold your ground more. It makes sense I guess for this book but was quite obnoxious. Starling made more of a stand than Bunny (also bunny, really?), though I will note that Bunny was in a more complex situation but ultimately she has autonomy over her body and voice to make a stand at least in that way.

*insert quote* “No matter what he thinks, he doesn’t own me. But right now, I’d let him tattoo his name over my ass if he’d fuck me and make me come.”

jfc 🤦🏻‍♀️

Though I respect and liked that she ran. Even though she decided never to return, she does after one dream. Ma’am wtf??? Also no grovel. The ending was sucky and only really leads into the next book. This book is primarily focused on the sex with little plot, which is very very alarming because on kindle it’s 588 pages. Did I read it all? Yes. Would I read it again? Nope. I was skimming and skipping for most of the book because it was so repetitive and could’ve been a couple hundred pages shorter. I will say though the writing has improved from the previous books but Starling is the best heroine so far and I’m hoping Sammy will make more of a stand in her book.

Love coming back to the Alphah&les universe. Since Sebastian story I have been loving them. Clay and now Hunter this three are as p&ycho as they come. But honestly in my opinion I don’t like the reaction of the girls have all the time when they find out to what extremes this guys will go through to get want they want,Even as this three have done some crazy things that are questionable. But I can’t ask for more because this Alphah&les are just so obsessive and possessive that I just love every story that I have read so far. And now I can’t wait to see if Evan will be more cr&zy than his friends but I’m so looking forward to the last of the Alphah&les story.

i don’t even know where to start with how much i HATED THIS BOOK AND HUNTER!!!

Hunter isn’t an “alpha hole” hunter is a RAPIST. i understand authors exploring CNC but that was not it, bunny did not want any of it….

i’m kind of annoyed how this author sets up these characters personalities and then completely destroys them in their own book for “shock value”

There was no resolution, there was no romance in this book im sorry.

Hunter is a terrible character and ughhhh i just hated it so bad !!!!!

now i don’t think i will read evan’s book bc if the author does the same thing with him then im OUT !!!

if i could give this ZERO stars i would !

Hunter 21/22, I forget, is at the front of the church watching his brother Sebastian get married to Starling. Bored but trying to look like he's paying attention he starts to scan the church to see who is there. He sees a girl in the back row and instantly feels a connection but when she finally makes eye contact he knows that's HIS woman and thus gets aboard the cuckoo train.

Bunny 18 in the beginning 19 for the rest of the story, is at a wedding with her boyfriend. They've been dating for about 6 months but instead of being young carefree relationship they've skipped over to old married couple and attend high society event after high society event. She feels someone is looking at her so she scans her eyes to find the culprit and when she connects with a guy standing up by the alter she also instantly feels something.. more than she's ever felt with her boyfriend which starts her doubting and questioning if she's even happy in it.

Bunny moves back to her home in Florida right before the semester ends only to come back to take finals. When Hunter realizes she's not coming back he's furious and gathers his group of psychos and comes up with a plan to get his woman back to California and with him permanently.

My opinion: **don't go further if you want to go in totally blind**

I was totally on board with the first 75/80% I knew what I signed up for but the rest not so much.. he was downright mean and unapologetic about what he did and how he's treating her and it wasn't like a loved one more like a child misbehaving and needs punishment and discipline. I'm really glad Starling stepped in sure it made her trauma resurface.. but she wasn't wrong in what Hunter was doing to Bunny. Do I think she should have stayed away.. absolutely. But I knew that wasn't going to happen what I do wish though is a more thorough sit down in discussing the changes that need to be made in order for her to come back, sure.. it was talked about but Hunter overrode that convo and Bunny didn't really give her hard limits like I would have liked..

Tropes : forced proximity, alphaholes, possessive H, obsessive H, dubcon, dark romance, billionaire H
Ending : HFN
Triggers : dubcon, manipulation, blackmail
Spice : 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Angst : 🔥🔥🔥/5
OM/OW drama : OM (h’s ex boyfriend)
Celibate while separated: yes
Intimacy details: virgin h, anal, oral, sex toy, cock warming, somnophilia, edging, no condom (h got birth control shot), a little exhibitionism, rough sex, cum insert, slight breeding thought
Standalone/Series : can be read as a standalone (better read the previous books)

Hero : Hunter Rossberg (21)
Heroine: Beatrice ‘Bunny’ Tate/Rossberg (18/19)

If you’re in the mood for an alpha male that’s pretty crazy about the heroine to the point where he gaslight, manipulate, control, lie, and force the heroine so he could be with her. This would be for you.

Usually I would ditch this kind of book because of how annoying the H was but I’ currently in the mood for something crazy.

They got quite a toxic relationship. When they first met, Bunny was dating a guy and Hunter decided to ‘have’ her. So he separated them both without Bunny knowing.

Then when she decided to move back to Florida and transfer to the local college there, Hunter flipped. He orchestrated the whole tragedy with the help of Clay, Bunny’s dad’s business almost went under and she didn’t know it was because of Hunter.

Then Hunter came in act like he was the hero in her story. He told her he would help if she marry him and then they got married.

She signed a prenup basically saying she was his possession and she can’t leave him. She willingly got a tracker injected into her.

Long story short it was rough at first, dubcon involved. After they slept together they started to have this marathon sex and Bunny was addicted to Hunter and vice versa.

When things started to look up, Bunny found out about the whole thing and started to hate him again. Just days before that she told him she loved him.

One day she had enough and with the help of the girls she left Hunter. They got 6 weeks ish separation and Hunter was miserable, imo more than Bunny. Clay went to her and apologized to her and told her about Hunter’s condition. She called Hunter and agreed to meet up.

Basically they reconciled and had their HEA.

"Are you scared, Little Rabbit?"

Well.............. I don't know how she does it, but Gemma makes these red flag waving, possessive, psycho, alphahole's, amd I love them more each and every time!!!
Hunter and Bunny ..... what to say??? I though Bastian and Clay had it beat in the psycho, I will do anything to get you stakes, but Hunter took that bar and raised it up into the stratisphere!
Maaaannnnn, everything he did had my eyebrows in my hairline and by the end of it they were nearly at the back of my head. But goddamned you Gemma, I STILL LOVE HIM. Both books so far in this series have made me seriously question my mental health 😆 and this 3rd one was no different, but,  without a shadow of a doubt, that's why I love her books sooooooo much. Hunter is an absolute Aplhahole psycho, I had no idea he had it in him. Bunny is sweet, unassuming and trusting, and, despite being extremely wary, ends up falling for him (as they all do 😃) reading about the other girls serving up their little slice of justice definitely had me cheering ALOT!! but also the realisation from the guys, that i'm not sure they would have come to without help also redeemed them alllll a little in my eyes. I love these guys, despite their many many many many flaws 😄 and I can't wait to see more from them.
This book was a brilliant 3rd installment to the series, and the epilogue had me chomping at the bit!!!! Now, all I have to say for the ending????????????? Evan?? GO GET OUR GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing about this story was happy or HEA vibes. I think they all need therapy. Clay is the only semi-redeemable character. Hunter is the worst and deserves a miserable life. He didn’t learn a single thing, he didn’t suffer and he deserves to be in jail. The spice seasons all bordered on SA, and there’s a scene where it was straight r-word. I like Gemma’s alphahole vibe but Hunter was just gross, nothing like the character described in the other books.
Context wise I do like dark and super spicy books, but there was nothing desirable or caring about Hunter, he doesn’t love her, he owns her. Could’ve been about 200pages short.

Dnf 53% mainly cause it’s just a repeat of the other 2 books

- OTT possesses MMC
- at least this fmc had somewhat of a backbone compared to book 2
- spice starts decently early enough in the book about 40%
- first book was probably the best one in the sense that the fmc tried hard to get away from MMC
- safeish sex FMC on birth control
- manipulation, coercion

Re-read value: Yes! Yes! Yes!!!

Omg this book was perfection. And the smut was absolutely mind blowing. I wanted to reread it almost as soon as as finished inhaling it all in one go without as much as a toilet brake.

Wow, Hunter is the worst of them all.
I was sooo mad, angry and frustrated the whole time i read this book. I loved the first and second book, but the third is thrash.

BUNNY THE FMC IS LITERALLY AN IDIOT THAT THINK WITH HER PUS-SY AND ABSOLUTELY THE LOWEST OF THE LOWEST OF DOORMAT.
I said what I said. I never hate main leads this much.

I loved Hunter in 1st and 2nd book. He always the soft and sweet one that love to feed people food and worried about other people. Turn out, he is the biggest psycho of all. AND BUNNY? THE WEAKEST AND SHITTIEST FEMALE LEAD EVER! I was expecting her to at least fight, but this gurl is sooo sex addicted she never fight. What Hunter did to her family was so fucked up, and I'm suprised she still able to sit calmly on his dick and being "sexually frustrated" all the time. ITS A HUMILIATION TO COMPARE HER TO STARLING CAUSE THIS GIRL IS SOO WEAK!

and what the hell with his obsession to fix what he messed up only using sex? your parent doesnt teach you manners? at least as fucked up sebastian was, he asked for starling forgiveness. he felt bad and guilty. Hunter just straight up fucked up-

I dont think I can ever forgive Hunter. He lacks empathy and he so fucked up its a wonder how his parent raised him up. His parent doesnt look like bad people, but obviously they raised him wrong.

Come on Bunny, can you clean your brain and fight a little at least? YOU DONT DIE FROM BEING SEXUAL FRUSTRATED. HAVE A FUCKING BACKBONE FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!! HOW FUCKED UP ARE YOU TO LET HIM STILL DO WHAT HE WANT TO YOU EVEN AFTER DOING THAT TO YOUR FAMILY TO TRICK YOU MARRIED HIM AND STILL THINKING ABOUT SEX???

GOD BUNNY IS A HUMILIATION TO THE GROUP, STARLING SHOULD SLAP HER FACE AND MAKE HER WAKE THE FUCK UP. I MISS HOW CRAZY STARLING FIGHT IN THE FIRST BOOK. SHE LITERALLY GOT NAK-ED AND RUN OUTSIDE WHICH I'M SOOO IMPRESSED.
bunny can go and suck Hunter ass cause she have her brain in her fucking pus-sy. she always think with her pus-sy. always thinking about the good sex when the problems lies in the way he treated her. ughhhhhh.

Ugh I'm gonna skip all his and his stupid wife part on the 4th book. yes, i'm gonna read the 4th book because i love evan and sammy, but if this two fucked up in the books i never gonna read it and just skip over it.

until the end, Bunny just plain idiot. she let her horny self lead instead of her brain. she succeed at running just to let herself go back to him to have his dick. how low can you be pathetic girl? God, i hate both of them. I wish they are gone from the series. They are the worse characters ever.

The only character i like in this book is Starling. She got more badass and she rocks. She never let them low their guard down, and she's smart-smart.

Obliterated my panties…
this book is truly dark in the amount of red flags. Hunter shows. It is a good book. Five stars all the way. But readers should really read the trigger warnings if you have triggers. If you do not go in this totally blind (but read the other books, even though they can be read as standalones, it’s a better experience to read in order as some of the details are lost from other books, but are mentioned).

***spoilers
Beatrice (Bunny) is in a six month relationship with Jake. Bunny’s family is wealthy, however, they are not as wealthy as everybody else in this book. Jake’s family is super wealthy and kind of snobbish. Jake seems to be nice and respectful however, he also seems like a mama‘s boy always going to all her events and galleries and charities. Bunny feels like as a freshman in college she should be living life and going to parties and making stupid freshman college choices. Instead, she’s stuck at all these events and charities being dolled up when she just wants to live in her jeans and her T-shirt.
Bunny and Jake go to a wedding. Which happens to be Sebastian and Starling’s. They are from the first book. As soon as Hunter sees Bunny, he plots to break her up with Jake. Enlisting his dad’s help. Even though his dad would not be morally ok with Hunter’s actions, he supports him. Hunter was always the levelheaded one in the first 2 books. But once he saw his one and only that was obliterated.
Hunter creates a friendship as much as he’s able while she has a boyfriend. Trying to include her in his life. Hunter manipulates Jake’s dad into believing Jake would be better off with an arranged marriage with a girl of society. Because Jake highly values his parents opinion, he breaks up with Bunny.
Bunny feels like her eyes are opened and sees Jake for who he was. Even though he was nice and respectful, and always gentlemanly she realize they were never meant to be.
Bunny goes back home to Florida. Hunter finds out and is pissed. So he creates a plan to get her back. He manipulates her dad’s business into foreclosure and high debt. Bunny’s dad tells her all this and she confesses this to Hunter. Hunter comes to Florida to save the day even though nobody knows he did this. Hunter offers to marry Bunny in order to help fix the business (or what he broke). The whole book Hunter is about fixing things. Even though he’s the one that broke them. Bunny reluctantly agrees and Hunter spins it like if she never left Florida they would’ve ended up here anyway so this is just a perk him helping her dad’s business out. They get back to California and immediately go to his lawyers office for her to sign a prenup. It’s not a normal prenup as it has nothing to do with him keeping his money. But having everything with controlling her. There’s causes in there about her birth control. There’s clauses in there about him paying for everything she can’t use or keep any of her own money, to make her so dependent on him and not able to leave him. She can’t go anywhere without him and if she does, it is with a team of security, that only answers to Hunter. She’s not allowed to ask for divorce before five years of marriage and if she does ask for a divorce, she has to pay back all monies spent to fix her dad’s business. The debt is currently upwards of $8 million. Bunny is not a good liar nor does she like to lie to her friends and family even if it’s about something important. Part of the prenup is she’s not allowed to talk about him helping her dad‘s business. The lying is weighing on her conscious. They have a mini honeymoon at a hotel where they stay there for a couple of days and don’t leave. Bunny is a V 💳 and this only drives Hunter’s obsession with her further. He claims her and owns her. Bunny will come around and try to look at this in a positive note, but the owning is really getting to her. She feels like she is losing her autonomy. Even though she wants to be with Hunter, she wants to be independent and have a life. She wants to be able to make choices. Hunter constantly remind her, the prenup does not allow her to make choices heavily weighs on her. They go back to school and she overhears a conversation between Clay and Hunter where they talk about Hunter messing with her dad‘s business. Bunny is an utter disbelief and had just confessed to loving Hunter. Now she can’t stand him. Hunter basically doesn’t care as long as she’s with him. And because of the prenup, she can’t tell anybody what’s going on because then that will tell them why they got married. She’s literally alone and by herself. She feels the only real way to get out of the marriage is if Hunter divorces her. So she plots to make Hunter believe that she is with Jake. Hunter figures out she’s gone and finds out where she is. And treats her really really bad when he brings her back home.
Starling sees that something is going on and because of her own drama (Sebastian had basically kept her prisoner until she fell in love with him) Starling, Sammy, and January (Clay’s wife) help Bunny runaway and hide for three months. Hunter is completely beside himself and can’t believe Starling helped her. Starling told them before any of the drama happened, when she found out Hunter was pursuing Bunny, if he or any of the others did what they did to Starling, to Bunny or any other girl she would help them leave and completely disappear and nobody would find them. Hunter can’t stand Starling. The friend group that was super close is now scattered to the winds.
Clay finds Bunny, but doesn’t tell Hunter immediately. January told Clay that she was ashamed to love him because of what he did to help Hunter. So now Clay is trying to be a better man for his wife. He tells Bunny that he is sorry and he never meant to hurt her, but that Hunter is completely in love with her and he would do anything for his brother. Clay offers to dissolve her prenup and push through a divorce (he is the IT guy of the group) if that’s what she wants. But for her to take the night and think about it. She has a nightmare and wakes up and calls Hunter. He asks to meet with her. They meet in New York and realize that through all the messed up stuff Hunter did to her. They still love each other and can’t be without each other.
The epilogue is Starling realizing that, even though she would do it again and help Bunny, she was projecting her past trauma onto Hunter and Bunny’s relationship. She apologizes as Hunter refuses to talk to her and tells Hunter that she knows she needs to go to therapy. Sammy, one of their single friends, calls and says that she’s engaged and getting married. This enrages Evan, who has been in love with her for a while. Starling tells Evan to bring her back no matter what it takes. She realizes she’s being a hypocrite after everything that was said and done, but she knows her friend isn’t going to be happy with the guy (apparently he was manipulative but not in an alphahole way 😉 in the past).
The spice was spicing!!!! Once they were together, it was like rabbits! lol!
