Wild Heat

Salvation

Rate this book
When I presented as an Omega and ran away from home I had only one goal in mind: to disappear.

I was doing a damn good job of it, too…until I caught their scents.

Denver, the alpha-hole mercenary with a heart of stone.

Memphis, the cinnamon roll hunter-tracker with fire in his soul.

And Camden, the golden retriever survivalist with kind blue eyes.

I should’ve stayed away, but I could barely think through the heat threatening to burn me up from the inside out.

By the time I discovered they were a team put together by my sadistic stepfamily to drag me home, it was already too late.

Too late to run. Too late to hide. And definitely too late to stop my wild heat from affecting us all in ways more permanent than I ever could’ve imagined.

SALVATION is a standalone Omegaverse romance told in multiple points of view. It features knotting, scent matching/marking, nesting, pack bonds, and wild heats that require **lots** of emergency alpha assistance. There is no choosing and a HEA is guaranteed!

Absolutely love the author but this one wasn't for me. It felt like nothing really happened the entire time. The characters didn't really feel fleshed out enough or deep, leaving me really disconnected from them. It just felt a bit bland. Three stars though because it was really well written and the spice was spicing 👀

I couldn't put Salvation down! Honestly, I went in blind, didn't read the blurb, tropes or anything because I knew I'd love it and now I can't decide which Wild Heat book is my favorite, so we're going to go with both! Salvation is very different than the first. The setting alone is something I've never read before and Brooklyn has been through it.

Brooklyn's mother prepared her for this exact moment. She's a survivor, she's stealthy, she's smart, and will do what it takes for her to survive and sever herself from the people who want to harm her. Denver, Memphis and Camden are sent to find her and retrieve her, but lines begin to blur.

These alphas are perfect for Brooklyn. They can sense something is bothering her and don't push it, but let her tell them when the times right. I love that these three came together for her and have a soft spot for her.

I loved this one! From the unique setting to the romance of it, it was amazing! I do love the spontaneous heats, so I hope we get more Wild Heat books in the future!!

This book was such a fun read but also very heartbreaking. I felt so many different emotions reading this that helped me really connect with the story and characters. I really enjoyed the authors writing style and will have to check out more by her.

Brooklyn went through something truly horrific and ran from civilization to live alone in the woods. I loved seeing her strength and determination when she could’ve just given up. She defied the odds and survived when no one thought she could.

I love the dynamic between Brooklyn and her three guys. I really enjoyed the dynamic of the guys not knowing each other and seeing them grow closer at the same time they grow closer to Brooklyn. Most omegaverse why choose books feature an already established pack so it was fun to see them form that pack bond. I loved how different the three guys were but you could see that their differences only brought them closer together. They all lended something to the group and the pack wouldn’t work without all of them. I also really loved the addition of MM spice between two of them.

My only issue is, I wish the book was a bit longer. The ending felt rushed to me and I wish there was a bit more to it after all the build up.

I’m a big fan of Elena Lawson’s (writing as E. J. Lawson) omegaverse novels. I think I’ve read and reviewed every single one. Her Wild Heat series is no exception. Salvation is no exception to this rule. I mean, come on: hunters versus hunted? Professional alphas being hired to hunt down a runaway omega who no one can seem to track down? Right away I’m thinking feral, I’m thinking primal, I’m thinking down and dirty. I’m catching rut and heat vibes. I’m catching, “Mine!” vibes.

I was totally right.

If you like strong, independent FMC omegas, this is the book for you. If you like books where the pack doesn’t come pre-made, this is the book for you. If you like your why choose with a splash of sword-crossing but not full-on scenes, this is for you. If you like outdoor romances and don’t mind your spice coming with some dirt, then you’ll like this.

I wouldn’t read this if you’re a fan of nesting or bites in your omegaverse. If you like your omegas soft or pampered in any way, this may not be right for you. If you’re the triggering type you will want to check the TW/CWs for this one because there are darker elements.

I do think this could’ve maybe taken one more pass with a beta reader and editor, because there were a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes and I did feel like it was a bit too long, but otherwise it was another great omegaverse romance from Lawson.

I was provided a copy of this title by the author. All thoughts, opinions, views, and ideas expressed herein are mine and mine alone. Thank you.

4.5 Stars!
Brooklyn is an omega who's been missing for over a year. Her father and stepbrother hire a trio of skilled alphas to track her down and bring her home. She's been gone so long that the alphas think they'll be bringing home closure instead of Brooklyn herself. They suspect she wandered into a 900,000-acre wooded area next to the house. No one without the skills and knowledge could survive that long alone, especially an omega who needs an alpha during the heat.

Denver, Memphis, and Camden are alphas trained and skilled in tracking and living in unexpected conditions for long periods of time. They hadn't known each other before the mission to find Brooklyn, but they build a bond that feels a lot like pack. They expect to find the remains of the omega, not the girl herself...
However, Brooklyn is skilled at living in the forest. She is strong, resourceful, and smart. She looks like she's content out in the wilderness and doesn't act like a helpless omega trying to find her way home.

This omegaverse was refreshing. I haven't yet read an OV where the characters loved the outdoors, so it was a nice change of setting. The alphas weren't an established pack, so watching them get to know one another at the same time as the omega was also a new concept in an omegaverse. The alphas try to take Brooklyn home while coaxing her out of an untrusting, weary bubble since she fears alphas.

I would absolutely categorize this as a sweet omegaverse with low angst and medium steam. It has 2 broody, grumpy alphas, 1 golden retriever alpha, and a smart female omega. Though the plot was a little predictable, I could not put down the book because I wanted to see what Brooklyn would do next and how the alphas would take it.

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Spicy content 🌶🌶🌶🌶.5/5

I received this as an ARC, and my thoughts are honest and my own.

Holy knotting Hill! So, in this book, we follow Brooklyn, who is an omega that has been missing for an entire year. However, Three Alphas have been hired to try and find her and bring her home. But she doesn't want to be found. (With good reason).

What happens when they find her and she goes into heat? You can certainly guess that it's Knot just talking, haha.

Okay, I'll stop with the knot puns.

However, this book is great. a lot is spice and knotting between the three Alphas and our omega. And she gives them a run for her money because she doesn't want them to take her back.
I love how each of these men treats her and takes care of her.

Please also note the trigger warnings, and remember your mental health matters.
This was the first read from this author for me, but it won't be the last!

Heat- 3
Tropes- scent match, MMFM, sweet omegaverse
Need to know- little connection to book 1 so can be read as a standalone

Salvation takes place almost entirely in the wilderness. Denver, Memphis, and Camden were all hired by Brooklyn’s family to track her down and bring her home. They believed she had gotten lost in the national park and was most likely dead. To their great surprise, not only was she alive and thriving, but she had no desire to be returned home. A pesky scent match made their jobs even harder.

I loved the setting of Salvation. While I would never survive living in the woods, it was clear that every character here was more than capable, they were comfortable. It made it easy to see that, beyond being scent matches, these people were compatible. I prefer omegaverse books where the packs are pre-formed, but this one falls together easily. There is even light sword crossing. My only complaint is that the climax felt rushed. The confrontation with the villains, Brooklyn’s family, ends abruptly and far too easily.

Unique onegaverse storyline. She's been lost in wilderness for a year alone when found by men hired by her father to find her. Didn't really seem like it fit the omegaverse rules. Meh.

I’m in love with all things EJ Lawson. Her omegaverse stories always hit the mark for me, and Salvation is no exception.

Brooklyn has been hiding out in the woods, for over a year. Taken advantage of in a moment of weakness, she’s gone into survival mode. When three alphas start encroaching onto her territory, she knows her time is about to run out.

Denver, Memphis, and Camden are hired to track a missing omega. What they find is more than they bargain for, at the whiff of her scent.

Brooklyn is intelligent and a survivalist. I loved seeing the strength of her character. Denver, Memphis, and Camden are all so different yet provide Brooklyn with exactly what she needs. I also liked that there was no established pack and seeing them navigate through their dynamic was great.

Salvation is a sweet omegaverse with low angst and delicious spice. If you enjoy grumpy or golden retriever alphas and strong FMCs, then I highly recommend this book.

If you are an avid reader of Omegaverse books, you'll find this story formulaic.

I read word for word until the guys meet Brooklyn then I skim read till the end.

Memphis and Camden getting together wasn't organic. They were just using each other to appease their craving for Brooklyn.

How the Castle's meet the end is too convenient. Then the fact that they were hustling to get to safety but had time to stop for her heat with no interruptions was too funny.

The inner monologues and how long it took her to tell them what was going on also pissed me off.

So, if you're a fan of the "classic" Omega story, you'll probably love this. I was just bored for most of it.

Harsh realities and love

This is a standalone, the only connection to the previous story is mentions of the band and one of its latest song. There are triggers involving past experiences before Brooklyn met her leading men.

I enjoyed the story, but I struggled with the timeliness descriptions. Spoiler ahead so you've been warned ⚠️
-----------

There is no real mention of what their ages are which shouldn't matter, but due to circumstances involving her heat SA and the suggested aged range from when it happened I feel the author should have specified it more clearly. In the story, several times Brooklyn presented as an Omega right around her 17th birthday and her mom and first dad died not long after. She was on suppressants during the loss but was manipulated into going into heat by her second father, leading to her SA happening by her step brother ( this also confuses me but will touch bases) As soon as she can, she runs away and is in hiding for a year. The description of this fact makes me feel like it was CSA. Maybe I missed something, but it was vague with anything time based prior to that year statement where she went missing.

Secondly, her mom had two alpha's both alive and in a relationship with her at the same time. There is no mention of a new marriage where this 'Papa' second father came in. I assume he was in a relationship with her mother just like her dad was and unless it was a new relationship where he had a son outside of a relationship or he cheated on her mother, that asshat is not a step brother making it feel even more twisted.

I scanned through and I don't think I seen any info really giving detail to prove my assumptions as correct or incorrect and that makes me feel that there are some holes in the story that should have been better implemented in a way to give readers an idea on the relationships between the entirety of her family, as toxic as it was.

There is definitely a decent age gap between her and her new alpha's but again their ages are very vaguely mentioned and there is nothing that can really point the estimate of anyone's age. Though this doesn't effect my enjoyment out these men, I am curious about their ages and it would have given me a better idea of what they would have looked like.

The majority of the story focuses on trying to get a runaway young woman back to her family that claims to worry about her safety, while discovering a connection between the slow development of a pack and gaining her trust so secrets can come into light. With plenty of drama and secrets it was a good read.

The wildness in her calls to the tracker in me. She was made to run free, and I was made to find her.

This was an adventure hot read!

To escape her stepbrother, Brooklyn made the brave decision to grab a bag and go off on her own into the wild. For years her mother has shown her ways to survive and now Brooklyn can feel her spirit within the trees as she lives day by day, remembering everything that her mother taught her.

What was once a game is now a survival tactic.

But being an Omega, Brooklyn knows that keeping her heat at bay can only last so long and knows the pain that comes when it can’t be relieved too.

I could devote my whole life to learning how to drive this woman wild.
For over a year Brooklyn has managed to make a home out in the wilderness and now she catches a scent soo tempting that when she crosses trails with three alphas hunting her down, Brooklyn doesn’t know what she wants more.

Her body reacts to each of them and the alphas have picked up her scent. Their orders are to bring her home unharmed and perfect…only being this close is bringing out their natural traits too.

There is more to this omega than her perfumed scent and the temptation is becoming all too much. Brooklyn heat becomes unbearable and knows her only chance at surviving now is to accept help from these alphas. But, this time something feels different and Brooklyn is able to allow herself to follow her natural instinct.

Soon, time is running out for Brooklyn, fearing a life that awaits her if she is taken back home and these alphas are smart enough to know that something is keeping her away.

Can they all lay themselves bare and bond together to survive?

Even as I want to run from these Alphas, another part of me is helplessly drawn toward them. It’s not just my heat, I think-it’s them.

I was lost in the trail of this book and fell straight into the storyline. I loved Brooklyn, she was a strong character and she was able to adapt and change her life to save herself from a brutal fate. She was able to survive and use everything her mother taught her.

The alphas, Denver, Memphis & Camden are brought together by Brooklyn stepfather to track and bring her home. Each of them are different in their skill set and are able to work together in finding Brooklyn, only things heat up once that happens. You can feel their connection growing between each other and with Brooklyn, it was raw and the care they showed towards her.

Full of tension, adventure and a wild heat that will consume them all!

Salvation by E.J. Lawson is book three in her Wild Heat series. It is an Omegaverse, Why Choose romance story about Denver, Memphis and Camden, three Alphas who are employed to find Brooklyn, a missing girl. It is told in multi-POVs and can be read as a standalone. A steamy tale with MF, MM, heat and rutting scenes. Friendships develop and instincts are tested but who will survive when the hunt challenges them all.

Roger Castle is willing to do anything to find his missing daughter Brooklyn. She’s been gone a year and he thinks she got lost hiking in Olympic National Park. He has recruited the best men he could find to hunt her down.

Denver is ex military and a cold hearted mercenary. He is suspicious of why Roger choose him as this is not his usual type of job. He is the team leader and is determined to find her but quickly realises there is far more to the story than they have been told. He finds it very difficult to keep his discipline around her. Memphis is a very skilled tracker and hunter. He is very quiet and a loner but she brings out his jealous side. Camden is a survivalist and won a reality show for living the longest in the wilderness. He is all smiles and chat but becomes fiercely protective of her.

All three don’t like Roger and his son Grayson, and wonder if she is staying hidden for a reason. When they are shown a photo of Brooklyn, all three are concerned for her as she looks thin, unhappy and lost so feel protective towards her. Denver is cross when they are told she is an Omega and will be vulnerable to an Alpha. All three are Alphas so they will have to maintain their self-control because her scent could send them into a rut. They all agree no Alpha should claim her without her consent.

Has a pampered billionaire’s daughter managed to keep herself alive in the wilderness or will their mission end with a dead body? Can they hunt her down and bring her home?

Brooklyn is smart and resourceful, with skills her father never knew about, so she has managed to survive in the woods. She shows such strength and fortitude that she totally surprises the guys searching for her. She refuses to give up and certainly gives them the run around, however, being near them has consequences. Decisions have to be made quickly and her relationship with each of the guys develops nicely. We find out why she left home and the incredible foresight of her mother.

The three guys work well together and without realising it they develop strong bonds and a new pack is formed. They each bring something different to the group and separately provide Brooklyn with something she has always wanted but together they all protect her and give her what she needs. Loved to nod to Crescendo #1 with Firebrand being her favourite band. I thought all three were perfect for her and she was one impressive Omega.

This was a rollercoaster of a story. Holy smokes, I'm still processing 24 hours after reading it. I genuinely loved this book so much.

Brooklyn, an omega, has been missing for a year, and her Papa has hired three Alphas to band together to find her. But there's a little more to the story than meets the eyes, as these three Alphas - Denver, Memphis and Camden - will discover once they track down the wayward omega.

It's hard to write this review without giving away too many spoilers, but this book? It was genuinely amazing. There is so much to Brooklyn, surviving in the forests near her house without being discovered for so long. Her reasons for hiding? Broke my heart in two. But she didn't let the fact that she was an omega stop her from looking after herself all those months. This girl has grit, she has strength and perseverance. She isn't scared to do whatever necessary to protect herself, and though it hurts her to open up, she finds her place eventually, even if it's not in her little shelter in the woods.

Our Alphas. Oh, my goodness, these men. Denver, the ex-military, alpha-hole; Memphis, the hunter-tracker with a heart of gold and that cinnamon-rolly goodness; and Camden, the sweet, golden retriever survivalist. All three so unique, you always knew who's POV you were reading from, and could distinguish them with no issue. But all so able to band together to help find Brooklyn and help her - especially when they found out her truth. I honestly cannot pick a favourite because they all have their reasons to make you love them. Whilst they may not have started out as a pack, you can definitely see as it forms over the course of the novel (as well as other connections forming between some of the men).

This is filled with action and adventure, with twists and turns abound. You will swoon at these alphas, cry for the omega, and fan yourself when the spice hits, because holy smokes, the spice be spicing. This is definitely a very plot-driven omegaverse novel, and I want more of these characters already. I think this has to be my favourite release from Lawson to date.

Thank you to the author and @peachykeenas for the eARC opportunity.

Salvation deals with the more negative aspects of Omega hormones and their heats, how they are so blindly and mindlessly out of control, they lose themselves and their freewill to choose to their bodies control. All they can think about is a knot in this scenario, even if the person is not someone they want, they are forced to accept it and like it. It puts alot of trust into the alpha's especially if they're unknown, that blind trust that they're not going to take advantage.

It is a steamy, and spicy omegaverse read where the Alpha's are hired by the "caring father" (sarcasm is implied) to find his Omega daughter who ran away in the middle of the night for no reason and has been lost in the woods for a long time. I enjoyed how each of the Alpha's dealt with and reacted to Brooklyn's issues which were true to each alpha's character whilst giving Brooklyn the care she needed. The alpha's complimented each other well to establish a pack, in charge Denver wanting everything orderly and safe, Memphis the quiet intense loner who's extremely observant and the golden retriever happy, easily pleased Camden with Brooklyn easily slotting into their dynamic.

The whole idea of the plot of a unbonded omega lost in the woods and yet she's thriving, with more skills and experience to survive than previously thought was a intriguing concept but I would have liked to have seen this a bit more of her surviving on her own. Brooklyn is a strong, capable and independent fmc (when she's not in heat) and I loved her character and the chance she gave us to explore a more natural way of living.

For me I would rate as 3.5 stars but I always round up as I would have liked to have seen a bit more story development and a bit more of Brooklyn the fmc before the smutty stuff starts. However, that being said the fact that the smutty stuff for Brooklyn's heat did start so fast was true to the character and the storyline as a whole. As much as I would have liked to have had more of Brooklyn watching the Alpha's and outwitting them as she runs from them, stealing all their stuff and showing them who's boss in her territory before they found her, Brooklyn's circumstances meant this wasn't possible.

Brooklyn! She might have grown up in a cushioned lifestyle but her mother prepared her for survival, teaching her how to be self sufficient and resourceful. Brooklyn might also be small but she has a spunky personality, loves to be active and artsy, and has a if heart.

Denver is has served in the military and leadership comes natural to him. He does carry some scars of his past but doesn’t allow those to interfere with his disciplined nature.

Memphis is quiet but observant. He is an excellent tracker and while he doesn’t open up easily, he feels deeply and will take care of others.

Camden has golden retriever energy. He loves to chat and often will go out of his way to help others or make them feel at ease. He has a gentle nature but will show a fierce side when needed.

This pack! While the guys do not know each other at the start of the book, we see over time how their team work and personality differences create bonds between them. They are respectful of one another and can sense things about each other. They will call each other out when needed and will have each other’s backs.

Their relationship with Brooklyn might progress at different paces but one thing is for sure the moment they see her for the first time—they are goners and while they do try to stay professional, some succeeding at holding out longer than others, we see how they each react to her natural wit and charm and yearning for freedom. Camden provides her with tenderness, independence and and contagious sunshine, Memphis proves her with connection, affection and understanding while Denver provides her warmth, security and strength. They each complete each other in different ways and forge unbreakable bonds. They are each other’s salvation and forever homes.

This book definitely leaves you with warm butterflies. There is a trigger warning, but the author handles it with fortitude, compassion and patience. I felt the resolution was clean and the book definitely focuses more on the characters. The pacing was solid and the writing flowed well. Plus there’s an Easter egg!

Overall, this was an engaging read and one I read in one sitting!

𝒮𝒶𝓁𝓋𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃 – 𝒲𝒾𝓁𝒹 𝐻𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉 𝟤 - 𝑅𝑒𝓋𝒾𝑒𝓌

Author: E.J. Lawson

Couple: Brooklyn with Denver, Memphis & Camden

Tropes: why choose, RH, omegaverse, found family, interconnected series,  mercenary MMCs, set in the wild, reverse grumpy x sunshine, alphaholes

Review: Salvation is another wonderful omega verse by EJ Lawson and Brooklyn was the FMC whose story I loved the most! This book was so different from the previous books within this universe full of alphas, betas and omegas and this pack knocked my breath away. EJ was able to create a story that enthralled me from the first page when we learn the males are being sent to find Brooklyn in the wild.

Brooklyn’s character was so resilient and unique that I wish we were getting more of her in future books. I loved how she was able to throw the men of their game but was also intelligent enough to survive in the wild on her own. EJ was rally able to capture the grit and perseverance her character needed to make her survival believable but also made it so she could still adapt and accept help.

Denver, Memphis and Camden were all so very different in their stories and each one was faces of the same coin. I adored Camden and his golden retriever like personality who was also highly intelligent. I also LOVED Memphis and all his broody yet possessive nature once he meets Brooklyn. He was my favorite of the three and I enjoyed seeing him melt for the omega he had been waiting for. I also loved how they were friendly yet competitive with ways to improve their skills in the wild! Memphis was the grumpy brute who they all needed to stay on track and I enjoyed the “daddy” vibes he gave.

This book is HAWT and EJ gives us a survival romance built on trauma and growth. Brooklyn’s story was tragic but ended beautifully and the men she finds end up proving themselves in the best ways! The way they all build their bonds added to the romance and I am sad that this is the end of their story!

Rating: 5/5, Brooklyn’s story was one of trials and tribulations and has been my favorite of all of EJ’s omega verse books!

Thank you to Courtney & EJ for sending me this ARC!

I received this as an ARC and really enjoyed this! This is the second book in the Wild Heat series and features Brooklyn, the FMC! Brooklyn presented as an omega later than usually, just before she turned 18. Her mother and one of her father had passed away in a car accident just after she presented and she ended up with her other father and her step brother. Both alphas. Shortly after all of this, she ends up running away into the local forest. Which seems much bigger than just a normal forest - more like a national park type deal. Fast forward to about a year later and we meet the MMCs. They have been hired by the FMC's step father to find her. It's been about a year and all they know is that she went into the forest and haven't been seen since. The three MMCs have equally just met, as they were individually hired, and decide to just go back the names of the cities they are from as to not form bonds between them. They all assume they are just going to be finding a body, as no way a newly omega could've lasted all this time but boy are they in for a surprise!

Brooklyn has been thriving in the forest. She was taught a lot about surviving in the forest from her mother. She had always wondered why but is starting to believe her mother was afraid of her future. Brooklyn has created a nice shelter for herself, and survived throughout the winter. She stockpiles food from either the forest or from stealing from hikers. She is prepping for the next winter when she comes across the MMCs. She discovers that they are alphas and she starts to enjoy their scent. But she is hesitant as she hasn't had a good experience with alphas in the past. Unfortunately, since she hasn't been near any alphas for a year, being near them starts to send her into her heat.

Overall, I enjoyed this book! I thought it was an interesting concept - runway omega turned survivalist. This is definitely spicy and more on the quick burn side! Interested to see more of this series!!

I really wanted to love this. Wilderness adventure novels are my jam so mixing that genre with omegaverse should be an easy YES from me.
Unfortunately the jump to instalove was just too far this time (almost like crossing a ravine, geddit?)

The heroine came across as extremely sheltered and even younger than she was supposed to be, which was already really freaking young.

Yet without hearing a word from her, all the alphas immediately projected exactly what they wanted to see on her. I expected the author to pull them up on that, but she never did, which means we, too, were supposed to see the heroine as a strong, clever adult woman, instead of the silly child that she came across as. Considering how competent the alphas were supposed to be, it didn't make sense to me.

It really just felt like they were all bowing to biology and calling it love, which made it awfully difficult to draw a line between what she had experienced at home and what she experienced with her alphas.

If her character had been just a little bit more mature (in action, even if not in age) I probably wouldn't have cringed so hard at the sex, but it was too difficult not to see what seemed like miserable middle-aged men bickering over who got to knot the hot teenager (while telling her how much they genuinely really did love her for her personality). If they had more time to get to know each other before the heat, or even after it, that might have helped.

The prose is well written, and if the whole thing hadn't felt so icky to me I would have enjoyed it more. The details about the herbs etc were great.

I'm not a huge fan of age gap in general to be fair, especially when the heroine is a teen, so ymmv.

Brooklyn is an interesting FMC who takes matters into her own hands when she presents as an Omega and disappears after she finds herself forced into a situation she didn't want. Her family want her back and engage Denver, Memphis and Camden to track her down.

I liked that Brooklyn had learned these amazing survival skills thanks to her mother and was independent but also how she was still vulnerable as she dealt with what had happened to her and the grief of losing her parents. She was tough but not hardened. I liked the instant chemistry between Camden and Brooklyn as well as the easy chemistry between Camden and Memphis. Memphis caught me a little off guard as he seemed to be the one who felt the most but said the least and I enjoyed his development. Denver didn't feel as engrained as the others which made sense as he was holding himself back at the start but even at the end he still felt a little separate. I liked the found pack element as well as they all learned to become a family together.

I was engaged throughout the fast paced story however I did feel the ending felt a little rushed. I wanted to know more of the backstory between Brooklyn's parents and how they ended up with Roger and Grayson. I enjoyed this standalone overall though and will be going back to read book one.

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

ARC Review of Salvation by E. J. Lawson⛰️📚🌼

They way this book completely enraptured me in the most intense way was crazy. The spice was spicing and I was sweating!

Brooklyn was just an icon, she was taught really young how to survive in the woods, how to be resourceful and self-sufficient living alone, unknown to anyone she knew, and when something happened at home she fled to the mountains, everyone thinking she was lost and would not survive it, and she exceeded all expectations, I was completely in awe of her, how she managed to survive without anyone for over a year and thriving on top of it, was just iconic.

Professional alphas being hired to hunt down an omega who no one can seem to track down.
Despite the guys not knowing each other at the beginning of the hunt, I loved that they formed these beautiful bonds and friendships between them, their teamwork was impeccable, they always called each other out when needed and most importantly they had each other’s backs.

Super grateful to Elena for being able to get this beautiful ARC!💗

EJ surprised me with Salvation. I wasn't expecting the wilderness backdrop with wildfires, destructive storms, and an omega in the middle of a heat but it worked.

I think this is a first for EJ where everyone in the harem are meeting for the first time. So everyone is just learning everyone else's personalities. I'm not surprised they all mold well, they're all survivalist in some kind of way, with nature being the thing that ties them. I liked Brooklyn she's pretty badass with her skillet and her determination to survive is awe-inspiring.

Denver the broody one. Memphis, the quiet one, and Camden, the easygoing, one. They are three very different alphas with different personalities and skill sets but they mold well with each other. I liked the guys but they frustrated me, they're so focused on the smaller picture they don't see the forest for the trees. I just kept waiting for them to finally figure it out.

The obstacles that the characters go through, I'm not the outdoor type so I found the survival tactics that the characters implemented fascinating. EJ kept me wondering what challenges the group was going to have to face next. There were some tense moments, the dangers were real and had me nervous for a minute.

Salvation was such an enjoyable read. I loved the different backdrop, the steady pace, and the uniqueness of the situation. EJ Lawson really knows how to do an omegaverse.

Be ready to have your heartstrings pulled to the limits and your book hands set on fire with this one! This isn't your average romance; it's an emotional rollercoaster that'll have you cheering for our FMC, swooning over the alphas (yes i said alphas plural - we get 3 HOT FIRE alphas this book)!

The FMC, Brooklyn, has a journey that is equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking. Throughout the book I questioned how she kept going but then i remembered her overall strength and power. She is a true powerful queen and this book personifies what it takes to overcome and survive.

The best part is when our 3 alpha Hotties enter and get ready for some serious convincing with a healthy dose of HOT FIRE romance thrown in that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

As always I'm huge into character development - the dynamics between all the characters is what really hooked me. It was more than just between Brooklyn and her three potential mates but between the alphas themselves. They're a random set of 3, thrown together by circumstance, but their differences somehow make them stronger. I found it a refreshing change from the usual established pack trope in omegaverse stories.

If you are into omegaverse stories and looking for a slightly different twist on the pack - i highly recommend this one.

Salvation by EJ Lawson ARC Review

If you like Omegaverse RH this book will be right up your alley! This is a standalone romance in the Wild Heat series.

I really enjoyed Brooklyns character, and as a FMC I feel like she hit the mark of being not quite what we were expecting. Then add in Camden, Denver and Memphis and they all seem to mesh well.

The three alphas are tasked to track down a missing omega, who ultimately ends up being Brooklyn. Which is why I say she wasn't what I was expecting. My first thought of what and who Brooklyns vibe would ultimately be, is not what we got and I couldn't be happier. Not timid or weak, but smart and a baddie in her own way.

The ability for all of them to grow to know each other (they hadn't come from a pre-made pack) was kind of refreshing and allowed me to get to know them too at the same time. I also loved how the three gave her time to share what she wanted to when she was ready. We've got some broody alphas and a cinnamon roll alpha lol. The scenery change from most books I've read was kind of refreshing. The primarily outdoors worked for this story.

Some triggers so check those but ultimately a solid omegaverse story that wa a good pallet cleanser for me!!!

I was provided a copy of this title from the author for my honest opinion.

I am swooning. I haven’t put this book down since I started it. I am in love with this story. The plot, the sweetness, the immediate need to protect, and the spice just held me captive. Omegaverse books are quite literally one of my favorite books to read and EJ Lawson does such a fantastic job with them. I highly recommend reading this one!

Brooklyn is an omega on the run hidden deep in the woods where no one can find her… until they do. Brooklyn’s character is so strong and truly so beautiful. Her strength to run, live in the wild, and stay hidden is truly amazing. She is so brave and I truly loved her character so much.

Denver, Camden, and Memphis have never met before but they’re sent on a mission together. Their mission is to find the missing omega but what happens when they find her and nothing is as it seems? These three guys had me head over heels. Each guy had a different personality and qualities which I loved. All three had me wishing they were looking for me.

This book was truly a blast. I have thoroughly enjoyed each omegaverse book by EJ Lawson but this one might be my new favorite. This story was so fast-paced and everything fit well together. I definitely recommend!

I absolutely loved this book! This may be one of my top fav books by Elena! I devoured it! It is a complete standalone in the series so don’t feel like you need to read book 1 first (though if you like rockstars, you should definitely go check it out).

Brooklyn goes through a traumatic experience which leaves her feeling like her only choice is to flee. After a year of hiding and surviving on her own, she comes face to face with men that her family has sent searching for her.

Denver, Camden and Memphis may not have known each other prior, but when their expertise in military and tracking has them being sought after to help find a missing omega - these Alphas come together perfectly. Denver with his huge stature and growly leadership, Memphis with his strong nose and quiet demeanor, and Camden with his lightheartedness and crooked smile.

But when their job isn’t quite what it seems, will they go against their orders? Will this spitfire Omega outsmart the professional Alphas?

Surviving through all of mother natures unvariables, coming together as a pack, testing self control and realizing that life doesn’t have to be spent alone - this story was beautiful, spicy and addicting!

Brooklyn is a fierce omega. She was forcefully bonded and endured SA at the hands of someone who was supposed to be there for her. Her response to it, run away to the wilderness.

A year after she disappears, her Papa and stepbrother Grayson enlist 3 mercenaries to find her. They have an idea of where she might be and send them in that direction.

We have Denver- ex military, calculated, rule following

Camden- golden retriever and all sunshine, a survivalist through and through

Memphis- the lone wolf, tracker expert

3 men who don’t know each other who form a bond over trying to find the omega in hiding. They don’t know if it’s a rescue mission or a recovery. So they set out to find her. Only Brooklyn finds them first.

She was trained by her mom in survival skills when she was younger. So she knows how to survive on her own and has been doing just fine, until she scents the guys.

I loved how independent and strong Brooklyn is. How she took charge of her life after the worst thing happened to her. I felt like the downfall of her abusers scene was very rushed and kind of anticlimactic though. Otherwise, solid 4⭐️ read with a good amount of spice.

Little bit different ☺️
Our FMC is on the run from her family and determined not to go back, yet you get the feeling that there’s something more to her reasoning at first glance, especially when you get hints that her mum prepared her for this life 😟
The three MMCs are forced to work together to bring our Omega back home so you get to see their budding friendship building as well as issues they have in the pecking order and learning to work together….some are better at it than others with some shared scenes 🥰
I like that this was in a totally different setting to normal OVs I’ve read, it’s set out in a Olympic Park and the wilderness that one could face in its terrain and weather so that brings its own difficulties!
There’s a good mix of plot and steam here as Brooklyn has to fight her natural urges for these three alphas, but Camden, Memphis and Denver all realise there’s something more to their connection and she isn’t just a job 😍 bring on the heat and the trouble it causes 🔥🔥
