The girl, the owl and the doe: Journey of healing the inner child

Rate this book
This short story is a conversation about healing the inner child between the girl, the owl and the doe. Written in a soft and poetical voice with nature metaphors.

The author is describing her own observations and beliefs that have helped her on the journey. Hopefully it may help others as well. Suitable for young adults and as well as older ones.
Illustration for the cover was made with Canva AI, all the graphics in the interior are also from Canva.

This is such a lovely story about three characters, namely the girl, the owl, and the doe, talking about life and healing in such an engaging way. Using simple language, Nataša covered some important aspects of inner child healing, as well as fears and doubts many of us have, whether we're aware of it or not. The two animals act as the girl's guides that are there to provide well-intentioned advice. They are kind to her, ensuring safe space and trust. Their lines are wise and straightforward, with diverse examples and notions that are concise, yet general enough for everyone to relate and find a link between what's written and their own situation. Those who've never spoken to their inner child might attempt to do that now, after reading the story, and learning how Nataša did it.

Overall, I enjoyed this illustration-filled book. Since the content includes some pretty common social and psychological situations, everyone could benefit from the narrative, no matter their age, gender or issue.
