Very cute continuation of Eulberg's free short stories before We Can Work It Out comes out - definitely read Two of Us before this one, which is very short, but does some major foreshadowing to what we'll see in the next full-length novel.

(3.5) I haven't read any of the others in this series, yet I didn't feel lost. I was warned at the very beginning (by the author) that there would be spoilers if I read it and hadn't read the others, but it was fine with me.

This is a short, cute story about a teen girl's Christmas time with her family. The Beatles play a big role in their celebrating. I liked the way Penny Lane interacts with her family and diffuses her mother. She has a new relationship that is fun to see develop.

Content: mild kissing; talk of a cheating boyfriend; Clean.

Entretenida historia corta.

Just as in the other books, I had to down the stars because of the main character.
She is annoying as hell.
In the previous novella (which I reviewed and you should check out in my profile) Two of Us, she says something about proving people wrong when it came to girl stereotypes. Well, literally in the next novella, From Me to You, she gets excited for a text from her crush (totally normal, I'm not gonna shit on that) and says "Wow, Penny, you are becoming such a girl".
BITCH, DIDN'T YOU JUST TELL ME GIRLS AREN'T A STEREOTYPE? WHY THE FUCK YOU USING THE STEREOTYPE?
If you don't know Penny, she isn't like most girls. She is different.

"Then I found out another thing about Ryan that was almost inconceivable. Luckily, it was something that could be easily fixed.
It was really amazing he was able to function properly without me".

I don't want to be the type of person that says, "Oh, but if it was the other way around..." referring to situations where men are in disadvantage, but I have to.
Penny talks and talks and talks about not letting her friends change for a guy, and wants a guy to change for her. Neither is okay.
I mean, I get that sometimes you have to make adjustments to get along better with your significant other, like showering at night because they like to shower in the morning, or checking your phone more often because they are always sending you funny memes or whatever. As long as you don't lose yourself, little harmless changes are fine. (Once again, not gonna shit on that.)
But, Penny, if a guy were asking one of your minions to do so, wouldn't you be upset as fuck?
I'm pointing this out to clarify why I hate Penny.

I don't think I need to be that harsh on this book, because I have been a mean foul-mouthed critic in all the other ones.

Well, that was short. I expected it to be short, but not this short.

This had been sitting on my kindle for years now and I finally read it. Not bad, but I expected it to be a bit longer. Felt like less than a couple of chapters. I think the author could've perfectly included more scenes and winter days.

Four months of the LHC and the end of the year. Loved that Penny rang in the New Year with the girls in the club and not sucking face with a boy. (Even a really nice boy like Ryan.)

Yep, I would have found myself stressed, too

"Compromise means each person has to give something up."

"My thanks weren't just for the gloves and the Penny Lane sign. It was for many things, but mostly for Ryan just being Ryan. That was the best gift of all."

"They were better than family in a way, because this was a family that I got to choose."

From Me to You, is the third short story in Elizabeth Eulberg's The Lonely Hearts Club series. For me, unfortunately, this story felt like a placeholder, nothing more than a vehicle to advertise book 2 of the series. The plot doesn't really advance, nothing happens to change anything between any of the characters. We simply see how Penny spent the holidays and see her consider what is happening in her life, as long as introducing the idea that balancing it all might be hard. With bits about the club, Penny's sister's wedding, the Beatles, Christmas morning and exchanging presents with Ryan the day after, everything felt sort of skimmed over.

This is another cute short story set in The Lonely Hearts Club series. Penny and Ryan are now dating and she's trying to balance the Lonely Hearts Club and her friends, and her new relationship. It is set around Christmas/New Years and I liked how we learn about Christmas traditions in Penny's family, especially of the Beatles variety!

I like these stories because they emphasize being yourself, even when you have a boyfriend. They are all about staying true to yourself and I think they would be good reads for teens.

I really liked these short stories and I'm looking forward to the new book coming out.

It's holiday time and Ryan and Penny are exchanging gifts. Love how Elizabeth brought these two together for a sweet and thoughtful holiday. This is the third fantastic novella from LONELY HEARTS CLUB and perfect for everyone anticipating the release of WE CAN WORK IT OUT, the sequel, which comes out on January 27th.

Don't miss any of Elizabeth Eulberg's novels. Perfect for anyone who loves contemporary YA!

Okay so, about the short story itself: I JUST WANNA BE A CLUB MEMBER. Seriously, I want to be in that club and to have friends like that.
And about the chapter: I can feel the tension building up and I'm just so ready to read this book, I can't believe I have to wait more than a month, I'll just get crazy.

Of the three extended scenes, From Me to You might be my favorite. I love Christmas, and Penny's family's Christmas drama just made me laugh. I cannot imagine a Christmas that is that Beatles-centric. Again, if you're a fan of the Lonely Hearts Club series, this is a fun read. Just don't feel like it's necessary or that you're missing out by not reading them.

Short companion story

This is just a short story to give fans of the series over until the next book comes out. It isn't bad but it has a definite audience in mind of which I am not a part. It reminds me of a Hallmark Movie written for younger readers. It was free and quick so worth a look especially if you have read the main book.

Penny and Ryan keep on getting more amazing and cute by the page. Penny's family is still Beatle crazy (especially Mom, who REALLY needs to take it down a notch.)

This novella, unlike the other two, is clearly more a of set-up for what is coming in We Can Work It Out. And I can't wait!

I read all three of the short stories and really enjoyed them. They were cute and awkward, which is perfect for Penny Lane. They didn't add too much to the story but they add to the relationship and it was just cite as hell! Plus reading about a New Years party on New Years is just fun.
