Surrender

Rate this book
Everyone has a limit…
…and Crystal is steadily getting closer to hers. She thought she could escape the SOT, but now they have her and there seems to be no way out. Some people think she has everything, but she knows she has nothing. Is she ever going to break free? And is the mysterious Juda a friend or foe?

Everyone is scared of something…
…and fear is the worst enemy of all. Crystal wants to hold on, but her fears enable the SOT to drag her to darker depths than she ever thought possible; depths from which she must claw her way back if she is ever going to regain her freedom.

The pressure is on, and Crystal must either fight or be broken. It all comes down to one question: Who will she surrender to?

Riveting Questionable but Redeemable

At first I thought this book too intense, lurid and evil for teens to read, but after pushing through found it gives an honest description of the wiles of the devil, and of the power of the lure of Hollywood and fame as well as politics. It should be marked for 16 years old and up.

The only reason I took off a star was due to so many errors that a good freelance editor would correct.

Speechless. The story is very suspenseful. It takes you high then it take you low and pulls you in the middle then over and over again. I love it! Insurrection here I come (book 3)

I recommend this book to teens and young adults. It is highly suspenseful and romantic. I love it! Book 3 here I come

A Very Dark and Suspenseful Book

Well Dayo warned that the second book of the Crystal series was even darker than the first and she wasn’t kidding. I couldn’t believe everything that happened to Crystal. The ending was a shocker to me. Hopefully book three has more light than darkness.

Breakthrough

I was totally engrossed by this book. The author kept my attention throughout. I was ecstatic to see Crystal return to Christ and walk away from the SOT. This was a great read.

This was a hard book to read. There is redemption, forgivness, deliverance, and spiritual warfare. There is also, physcial, sexual, and emotinol abuse. Sex, drugs and rock n roll....lol The occult, astral traval, mind control. It's a really sad story with everything that Crystal has to endure.

Dark but Excellent Story

Very dark but interesting story. Eve though it is fiction you are made aware of the spiritual forces in this world I will suggest you read it with the lights on bright.

The last book I would read in 2017

This, the second book in the Crystal series, I have really enjoyed. It has been one of my favorite books of 2017, and of Christian fiction.

It was quite dark but the ending is worth it. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Definitely keeps your attention!

Oh my, when I started reading I had no idea as to how the book would develop. Although it is fiction, you can almost believe that SOT could be real in Hollywood today. Some of their goals are carried out by the "stars" and their influence motivates wondering souls in the wrong direction. Carrie made the right decision to give her life totally to God and to let Him be her protector. The book is well written and you will enjoy reAding it though it is a little dark and thought provoking.

Book two in Searchlight:Crystal. I am loving this series. Conspiracy, demonic, secret societies, and Faith that overcomes. There is some violence, including talk of torture and rape, though not graphic. YA suspense, good writing, great characters. I can recommend for ages and up. I give it five stars and on to book three!

This book was one of those hard to put down books for me. Definitely kept my attention. My only complaint was when Crystal talked to the occultists who wanted to leave the occult she told them they could defeat the organization if they accepted Christ. But instead the occultists are planning on brushing up on their witchcraft to fight the organization.

"She had a team for her mission now, but were they the right team? A bunch of wizards who would rather hone their craft than accept Jesus?"

No, they are definitely not the right team. Darkness can't drive out darkness. So that spoiled it a little for me, but hopefully in the next book in the series they will learn that using witchcraft rather than accepting Christ is a mistake. After all, this is supposed to be a Christian book series, so I'm assuming they'll learn their lesson in the end.
