Barbarian Mine
The ice planet has given me a second lease on life, so I'm thrilled to be here. Sure, there's no cheeseburgers, but I'm healthy and ready to be a productive member of the small tribe.
What I didn't anticipate? That there'd be a savage stranger waiting nearby, watching me. And when he takes me captive, the unthinkable happens... I resonate to him.
Resonance means mating, and children... but I don't know if this guy's ever been around anyone before. He's truly a barbarian in all ways, right down to clubbing me over the head and claiming me as his own.
So why is it that I crave his touch and hunger for more?

You know an author is good when she starts a romance off with a caveman-like hero bashing the heroine over the head and literally dragging her to his cave and me, a self-confessed hardcore feminist is like, "Okay, sure, let's see where this goes" instead of insta-rage-quitting.
By like 30% into this I was abso-fucking-lutely in love with him as a male lead. So, yeah...
WHAT IS THIS SORCERY.
Also, I have done almost nothing for the past two days but read these damn books.

4 "Repeat" Stars
As I said in my review for the previous book in this series, I am having a hard time picturing the dudes in this book as being sexy, what with the way they are described.
Let's review: blue, horns, fangs, ridged metal-like plates on various body parts, three-fingered hands and toes, tails, and lemme repeat HORNS.

All I get in my mind is a bad mix of that Tom Cruise Legend movie demon:

Oh, and don't forget the ginormous horn-topped, ridged alien dick.
But aside from that...conundrum, I am really loving this series.
Ruhk is officially my favorite alien-dude of the whole series.
Since book one, I have been getting Shay Savage Transcendence flashbacks because, well, cave, language barrier, caveman-like Heroes, and females somehow transported through time - or in this case, space - but the Transcendence-force was super strong with this one Young Padawan.
Up until Harlow's arrival into his life, Ruhk is alone in the barren terrain, surviving on his own, and veritably incommunicado.
Now, I'm not saying this is like Transcendence as far as the feels go...let's be honest, that book was one of the best, most powerful reads ever - and while this series is good - it's like comparing Star Trek: Next Generation (the TV version) to Star Wars (the fucking LEGIT version).
I'm merely saying that this series - and this book in particular - has a lot of elements that give me the same kind of "feel" I had during Savage's book, environment-wise and element-wise.
That said, I really dig Dixon's world building.
The whole premise of the "cootie" and its "resonance" is brilliant. Otherwise this whole series would have been done after book one as all of the females would have just been trying to get back to Earth the rest of their book-lives.
But with the "cootie" they are forced to say on Not-Hoth forever, accept their circumstances, and flourish.
And to that I say:
My only beef with the series as a whole is the way they have to obtain the cooties. I wish they didn't have to kill another animal - in this book's case - a BABY animal, to get it.
I may be soulless, cold-hearted and cynical as you all know.
Murder?
Torture?
Extreme violence against humanity?
But you do any of those things to an animal?
And I will cry like a Kardashian.
Except my face will actually, I don't know, MOVE.

My name is Jess and I'm addicted to the blue aliens of Not-Hoth.
I want to marry Ruby Dixon. For real.
The entire time I read this, I was a bundle of nervous energy. Would this be as good as the others? Who is the mysterious blue alien that has kidnapped Harlow? Will I love this blue alien more than my gorgeous Raahosh?
I’m incredibly pleased to say that while Raahosh still has my heart, this was another wonderful installment in the series and I’m totally not going to spoil the surprise for any of you as to the identity of who our mystery man is, so you’ll have to read for yourselves to find out.
I had butterflies in my stomach the whole time I read this. Our mystery man reminded me a lot of Ehd from Transcendence and the overall feel of the first part of this story is very similar to both Transcendence and the first Ice Planet book, with the language barrier giving me flashbacks to the first meetings of Georgie and Vektal.
The cameos of the characters from the first three books were lovely, and while I am a little annoyed that Raahosh can’t seem to say my name correctly (he calls me Liz, what’s that about?) overall this was a lovely story that had a stack of character growth and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
This one had all the heat I wanted, plus the strategically placed drama that had me on the edge of my seat and the love story that had me crying tears of joy, then frustration and then joy again.
I have to say that I picked up a couple of editing errors in this one, but I know I and the rest of the Not-Hoth lovers will forgive these minor things, as we were frothing at the mouth to get our hands on this bad boy and they were not major enough to spoil the reading experience for me.
I’m ruined for all other alien smut . Ms. Dixon set the benchmark so high I don’t think anything will ever compare. I love Not-Hoth. I love the barbarians. I love the human women. And overall, I love that they love, and resonate, and get to have their happy endings.
This was a wonderful story, I loved it so much I couldn’t put it down, but now I am sad that it was over so quickly. Bring on the next installment, please!

5 Harlow and Rukh Stars
May have mild spoilers
Barbarian Mine the 4th book in the IPB series was really good. In this book Harlow was kidnapped by a unknown alien while trying to get poles to make a travois for an injured Haeden. Instead Rukh, Raahosh long lost and thought dead brother, clubbed her over the head and drug her back to his cave. Rukh has been on his own since he little. He was lonely and wild af. This book gave me some strong Transcendence by Shay Savage vibes.
Rukh broke my heart. His dad really fucked him up lying and telling him that the tribe was the "bad ones" and to never go near them. Then his dad died when Rukh was only 7 leaving him alone to take care of himself in the dangerous wild ice planet. He had serious abandonment issues and trusted no one. He was very smart but had to be taught almost everything because he didn't remember anything from baths to words. Harlow was smart, level-headed, mechanically inclined, and caring. Harlow was hiding the fact that she was sick and dying at the time of her kidnapping, causing her khui to work overtime. Because of their isolation Harlow and Rukh are very close.
I really enjoyed this book. It was focused on Harlow and Rukh's relationship. I also really enjoyed Rukh and Raahosh's budding brother bond. Two gruff sexy alien brothers yum. Things moved along a whole year in this book. Two new members to the tribe arrive by the end of the book. I have to say I really hated Vaashan(Raahosh and Rukh's dead father) He was a selfish pos father. It was no wonder Daya didn't want to mate with his crazy ass. Another great book in this series. I can't wait to see who is next!

You remember when all those old sit-com shows would have a "very special episode" where they had serious stuff going on and they weren't funny that week? Why is my alien smut doing that to me? I want funny, silly, and outrageous - not angst - and certainly not cancer. Sheesh!

So, in this book, we get Harlow and Rukh. They met in the last book when Harlow was out cutting a tree branch and was hit over the head by someone and dragged away. Well, that was Rukh! What a cute story to tell the kids.

Rukh is a complete barbarian. He has never lived with the tribe, doesn't know language, doesn't wear clothing, doesn't bathe, and doesn't know how to make fire. Someone sounds like boyfriend material!
Although, if it was Ryan under all that dirt, I might be willing to make the fire...
Rukh takes Harlow back to his cave and takes care of her concussion. Which she wouldn't have if he hadn't hit her on the head and knocked her out. So, no points for that, really. Strangely, Harlow is pretty much fine with being with Rukh. Her Cootie has picked Rukh as her mate, so she's determined to tame this beast of a man and play house with him. He's a fixer-upper, and she's a mechanic. Makes sense.

So, Rukh and Harlow live together in a cave by the Not-Hoth beach. There's an ocean and everything.
That's right, our story fast forwards to a year later. Harlow is knocked-up and not doing pregnancy well. Rukh can speak, but hasn't mastered pronouns or articles yet. Those are tough. And, we get a visit from Liz and Raahosh. Thank goodness! Liz saves the day with her snarky humor. Really, every book should be about her. And, then, a big surprise happens. I don't want to spoil it. It's too good. And, I am tired of typing this review and I have another one to write. So, I leave you wanting more. What could this surprise be, you wonder? How will I know what happens, you ask? Why are you pretending to ask questions in my voice, Jilly? Do you need to be medicated?... yes. Yes, I do.

2.5 mostly-Rukh stars
Barbarian Mine focuses on Harlow and Rukh, Raahosh's long lost brother, presumed to be dead. In fact, Rukh grew up alone in the wild since he was 7 years old (or something like that). Hence, he does not speak or wear clothes. And he literally clubs Harlow and takes her to his cave.
Fast forward one year and we have a very pregnant Harlow and a much more presentable Rukh. He actually talks, bathes, combs and wears a loincloth now. And just in time for some problems.
Liz is annoying as always. She questions Harlow about Stockholm Syndrome and states she does not understand the redhead. *snorts* Pot meet kettle.
But the brothers got to me. I tell you, it's all about the aliens with these books. The human women feel like mean girls in disguise.
Moving on with the penis magic...
And he can’t stop staring at me, as if I’m some magical dick-sucking unicorn come to life.

Harlow disappeared, when she was needed the most. Where is Harlow?
Harlow has resonated, has been clubbed over the head and dragged away in the snow by someone. Does this remind you something? Who else has kidnapped his girl? Raahosh, anyone? Apparently the kidnapping approach runs in the family.
Rukh is a nice blue alien. He is a bit smelly and dirty; he does not know how to speak; he is naked continuously; he does not use fire and blankets and he does not understand resonating.
But he is a true virgin, well-equipped and he belongs totally to Harlow. Her own personal Tarzan.
Harlow has a second chance in this unfriendly, icy planet. She used to suffer from a terminal illness. She only had a few months to live. Her cootie has solved this. Now she is well and happy. She wants to celebrate life and to help everyone in the tribe. That is until Ruhn stole her and as a result he becomes her personal project.
Before they become lovers and mates, Harlow will be his mommy. Ruhn is a blank slate. She will teach him to talk, to light fires and to take a bath after years of accumulated dirt – actually he is a very dirty alien, literally. I was counting the days until he finally takes a bath. Finally she will teach him what resonating means and how babies (kits, for the alien speaking readers) are made.
“Rukh mate. This purr-purr-purr? This means ‘mate’. No purr-purr, no mate.”
Isolated and far away from the tribe, Harlow sees the ocean for first time and she decides to thank cootie and to become a mother. She is healthy and alive. She feels only gratitude and love for Ruhn.
Unfortunately, their personal paradise will be violated when the blue barbarian tribe will appear one day on their doorstep. Moreover, there is something wrong with Harlow’s pregnancy that she refuses to acknowledge.
It is time :
-For changing of scenery
-For the lost members of a family to come together
-For some ugly truths to come out
-For Ruhn and Harlow to set their priorities in life
-For some new babies to be around at last
This was the most emotional book so far in the series.
I absolutely loved Harlow, the survivor and Ruhn, the abandoned blue barbarian who grew up alone.
They will have each other and they will be family together. Amazing feelings for these two lost souls.

This was sweet, lovely, and beautiful!
Barbarian Mine, the fourth installment in Ice Planet Barbarians series, is far better than the previous books. Actually, it has been the cutest one in this series so far!
Harlow was one of human women on this ice planet. While she was out in the snow, looking for something to make a travois to take the injured blue alien back to the healer, Rukh spied on her and then silently went to her. When she was aware of him, he panicked and hit her head, and then he kidnapped her back to his cave. Their khuis (cooties) resonated for each other right away.
Rukh had lived alone ever since his father died. He had no one to love, no one to talk to, and no one to care for him. He didn’t know how to speak or communicate, and he wore nothing! *Eyes bulge out* *Drools* I always have a soft spot for naïve heroes, and for some reason, I found myself growing to love him more and more with each page. And it was so wonderful that he finally found Harlow, a woman who had brought sunshine and laughter into his life, filled the emptiness of his lonely days and nights with pleasure and warmth.
The story mostly focused on the relationship between Rukh and Harlow. Even though there wasn’t much happening in this book, I loved every moment both of them had been together and every adventure they had shared. I loved the way they gradually learned to know each other. It certainly took time, and of course, it wasn’t that easy. But somehow, as time went by, they got adjusted to their new life eventually.
But during Harlow’s pregnancy, she began to get sick. Meanwhile Rukh met his long-lost brother he never knew existed and found out that there was a healer who could help his mate. Their world suddenly changed. They had to leave their cave, their only safe place, their home, to the tribal caves where the healer was. All Rukh’s life, his father had told him to stay away from these people because they were the bad ones. He felt so torn inside but for his beloved mate and his unborn child, he would do anything for them.
And then my heart completely melted when Rukh and Harlow finally got their sweet HEA.
It was simply beautiful…

When she was aware of him, he panicked and hit her head, and then he kidnapped her back to his cave. Their khuis (cooties) resonated for each other right away.
Rukh had lived alone ever since his father died. He had no one to love, no one to talk to, and no one to care for him. He didn’t know how to speak or communicate, and he wore nothing! *Eyes bulge out* *Drools* I always have a soft spot for naïve heroes, and for some reason, I found myself growing to love him more and more with each page. And it was so wonderful that he finally found Harlow, a woman who had brought sunshine and laughter into his life, filled the emptiness of his lonely days and nights with pleasure and warmth.
In that moment, I want to give Rukh everything I possibly can. I want to give him a mate, a family, teach him about sex, and share everything every day together. I want him to know he’s not alone.
I want him to know someone else loves him. Someone else is there for him.
The story mostly focused on the relationship between Rukh and Harlow. Even though there wasn’t much happening in this book, I loved every moment both of them had been together and every adventure they had shared. I loved the way they gradually learned to know each other. It certainly took time, and of course, it wasn’t that easy. But somehow, as time went by, they got adjusted to their new life eventually.
I love Rukh and I’m happy with him. I don’t care that I have to brush my teeth with a hard twig or my panties are made from leather instead of silk. I love my man and I don’t want to leave him.
But during Harlow’s pregnancy, she began to get sick. Meanwhile Rukh met his long-lost brother he never knew existed and found out that there was a healer who could help his mate. Their world suddenly changed. They had to leave their cave, their only safe place, their home, to the tribal caves where the healer was. All Rukh’s life, his father had told him to stay away from these people because they were the bad ones. He felt so torn inside but for his beloved mate and his unborn child, he would do anything for them.
I hold her closer, agonizing. I will die if I lose her. She is the only thing worth living for. Now that I have Har-loh, I can’t go back to the loneliness of before. I cannot bear the thought of a day without her smile, her touch, her scent. Her small, cold hands on my skin as I wake up.
“Promise me we won’t change?” She burrows her face against my neck. “No matter what?”
“I will tear khui from my chest before I leave you,” I tell her. “We are together. Always.”
And then my heart completely melted when Rukh and Harlow finally got their sweet HEA.
“We will stay. Our son will need friends. You will need the healer. And I,” he says, grazing his thumb over my mouth. “Will always need you. A male cannot exist apart from his heart.”
Neither can a woman, and it’s clear that Rukh has mine.
It was simply beautiful…

These are always light fare and each is so very similar to the last, it’s almost hard to rate them now. The story for this one was just like number two except dumber. They can’t even speak to each other but she decides it’s a good idea to have a baby, in the wilderness of an ice planet, all alone with a man she can’t even communicate with? Can’t get behind this kind of stupid even if it’s driven by her lust maggot.
This series needs a shake up, I think there are at least five more and already the originality is gone and the stories just seem to be insta-love with a side of breeding and size porn.
I think I’m going to take a break from this series for awhile.

I'm getting bored.
Apparently there are only so many times I can handle reading about mating and babies and very important choices getting taken away from people by the khui. I would also like to know why the khui seems to care so much about prolonging the life of their hosts' tribe, especially when they take it from another being entirely. Unless it sort of absorbs the wishes of the host? That's a possibility. Get on it, Dixon.
These books are also becoming too mushy for me. I get it, you all are mated and have sex constantly and everyone is in love. And no one regrets getting pregnant. Everything is lovely. I'd like something different now.
I didn't want to read this one after the disappointment that was Barbarian Lover, but then I got excited about the premise and decided to anyway. And then I was disappointed again. I think I'm expecting too much here. I can't just forget all my questions and issues and enjoy these books.
So, for real this time, I won't be rushing off to read the next in the series.

She woke up in a cryopod and was told that she was abducted by aliens, her ship crash landed on a freezing planet, she now has a parasitic symbiote inside her and she is cancer free because of it.
The Hero: Rukh - He is one of the barbarians (Sa’Qui) on the ice planet. He is brother to Rohosh and has been missing and thought dead since he was a child. He grew up with his father who told Rukh that the other Sa’Qui on the planet were ‘bad ones’ and he should stay away from them. So even years after his father’s death, he remains alone.
The Story: When Rukh comes across Harlow, he knocks her over the head and abducts her to his cave. They resonate to each other, but Rukh doesn’t know what that means since he grew up apart from the other group of Sa’Qui. He also can’t communicate with Harlow since he doesn’t have a language translator implant.
The lack of communication bothers me. I would have liked them to figure that out earlier. Also I don’t see why Harlow was so ok with leaving the other group and didn’t make more of an effort to show him that they are friendly and rejoin the group along with Rukh.
Like most of the other books in this series, this book was told in dual points of view in dual narration. The narrators were Mason Lloyd and Hollie Jackson. Hollie Jackson is not one of my favorite narrators, but she is OK. Mason Lloyd does a good job with the barbarians and I like his voice.
Despite the communication issues, I liked the interactions between the two characters and like the way each of these books go in a different direction than the ones before. This has been my favorite one so far. I really liked the fact that they were off on their own for a while and the fact that Rukh needs to learn so much. Harlow is a terrific teacher and she is so patient with Rukh and so easy going, she takes things as they come and rolls with the flow.

I do not know what a 5 star is for me anymore, but when I think about what I would have wanted the author to do differently and come up blank, and I am really happy after reading, how can I justify a lower rating?

Wow. I expect a little light alien smut and instead got this.
This story was so sweet. The story had so much depth and emotion. Most of it is spent with just the two MCs, so it could easily have been a disaster. But I fell in love with Rukh and Harlow, and they were both worthy of the love given to them by each other. The first half had the potential of being really frustrating, but it was not. I felt bad for what Rukh had to endure, but he did not know any other way and his past made him so appreciative of Harlow. And, of course, he treated her as a precious gift. Harlow came to accept her new situation pretty quickly. I really liked that. No needless crying jags over something she cannot change. She was so good to Rukh and I appreciated her sticking by him through everything.
I had a feeling about the twist and was so happy I was right! Everyone involved deserved the good fortune!
I knew that they had to meet up with the tribe somehow and was so worried about how it would go. But the author did something I normally would hate and made it work perfectly. I was pleased that the tribe treated them well and we did not see the BS that occurred in Liz and Raahosh's book (book 2).
There was a tiny bit of angst over how they would handle the reintroduction to the tribe. It was understandable. But I was always 100% positive that they would stick together through anything.
Overall, I do not know how to describe this book other than sweet. No matter what was going on, the MCs were good people who took care of each other. I could feel the love.

I just love a bit of blue alien masturbation, it gets my motor going.
Rukh reminded me a lot of Ehd from Transcendence, the language barrier, how shocked and excited he gets about sexual 'relations'.
It's not just all the naughty things that go on in these books, it's the world of Not-Hoth. I like reading about all the different creatures they come across. The whole idea of making caves their own and using what they can find to make themselves as comfortable as possible. I just love it all.

Not my favorite of the bunch but still thoroughly entertaining. This series is good in small doses. lol I wouldn't binge through it, some parts are just kind of repetitive so it helps to read, say, one book a week. :)

I'm rating this book 4 stars. This was definitely my favourite book of the series so far. It's also my favourite couple. I really liked this but I just wish it was longer.

Okay, I admit it. I am addicted to this series. I just can't get enough of these loveable blue aliens.
Seriously. This is basically me when I found out that Barbarian Mine was already out:
I practically abandoned everything just so I could drive straight home, curl up in my sofa and enjoy some good alien smut.
And boy was it good.
I never thought that anyone could replace Liz and Raahosh as my favourite leads in this series, but I was wrong. Dead wrong. Rukh, for one, was beyond amazing. Yeah, I had doubts about him at first, especially with all the caveman thing he got going on, but as the story progressed, I actually came to understand him and his circumstances better. Also, him being a virgin hero (!!!) was a definite PLUS for me since I'm a sucker for the virgin hero trope.
And Harlow's definitely my favourite heroine in the series. I loved how she was really understanding and caring to Rukh. I can't imagine a more perfect mate for the guy, to be honest; Harlow was everything Rukh needed.
While I enjoyed this book immensely, I didn't like how everything was so rushed at the last few chapters in the story. Two conflicts (Rukh's dilemma and Harlow's health issue) were resolved all too quickly without proper transitioning. I was annoyed that the resolution came immediately in the next chapter. Oh, and the heat content here was relatively lower than in the previous books. I think this was because the focus was really on Harlow's pregnancy and Rukh's development. But yeah, I kind of missed the intensity from the previous books.
Overall, I really loved this. Harlow and Rukh totally won me over, and it was such a treat reading about their story.

Rather interesting main characters.
Good romantic build up and chemistry.
Rather good plot.
Rather cute/sweet couple.
How understanding/ forbearing the heroine is towards the hero.
The “wild man”/Tarzan/"barbaric" thing was rather interesting.
( Especially the severe/total language barrier.)
➖ What I disliked :
Rukh adapted a little too easy after have been alone for so many years and then only with Harlow.
That part of the book (some parts of the end.) feels rushed and like things were too easily fixed… Because after being totally alone and totally independent for that long would have made the hero behave and cope in totally different ways than the tribe…. He would most likely have had some difficulties here and there to socialize and integrate… but also issues with social skills etc.
Repetitive.
(Especially with the words delicate and fragile, but also some other things.)
Some of the “wild man”/Tarzan/"barbaric" thing with the hero was over the top.
Formulaic in the character description/character choice: small “delicate” human and Huge hulking/buff alien.
(Would have been/Would be really interesting to maybe see much more variety in the character descriptions/character choices in this universe/world/books/series.)

Buddy Read with the Alien Smut Loving Aussies
This may be my new favorite blue alien hunk! It's that adorably sweet and swoony. I was not disappointed in this book, but can Ruby Dixon ever disappoint when it's about Not-Hoth?
Welcome back to the freezing planet of Not-Hoth, it's time for Harlow's story. In the previous book, we're left wondering what has become of Harlow, she is kidnapped by something or someone. We were taunted with the info of there being an unknown sa-khui alien on the planet by the spaceship computer. The book begins at that point in time and tells what happens via Harlow's POV and the unknown person's POV. Who's the unknown? Ruhk, a new blue alien guy who likes to run around naked and is very caveman like.
In all his caveman wisdom, he knocks Harlow out and carries her back to his cave to keep. He feels strangely around Harlow and doesn't completely understand it all, but he does know that she makes him feel good and takes away his loneliness.
He also wishes to protect her from "the bad ones" (the other sa-khui people). Harlow understands she's resonating for him, but not in the mood to take on a dirty, feral, caveman who doesn't understand any sort of language. Growls and grunts aren't winning over this girl.
Escape doesn't really work out for her, so she finally decides to make a go of the roughing it life. Harlow brings "technology" to Rukh with fire, basket weaving, curing hides, and best of all, washing with soap berries. Yeah, I was happy they finally got clean. Dirt is not sexy. Rukh was already enchanted by this human female, her ingenuity only increases his ardor.
By the way, if the caveman idea wasn't hot to you, after a bath, lots of soap, and some serious time with a comb and No Tears Detangler, Ruhk is the awesome muscular blue hotness. (ok, not really on the detangler, but he really needed it).
The novel is all about Harlow taming Rukh and humanizing him. He was orphaned as a child and grew up alone, running wild and figuring out how to survive. That's all he knows, survival. Harlow helps him develop into the man he would've been, reaching his full potential. It's so adorable seeing their relationship develop as Rukh expands his sense of self. As all the sa-khui men do, Rukh is all about protecting Harlow, seeing to all her needs, and caring for her like no other.
In true Not-Hoth courtship ritual, there is a lot of ahem, steamy scenes with naughty touching. Rukh gets a very hands on tutorial of a female's body, courtesy of Harlow. And it's no hardship for her, touching 7ft of sold muscle on him, either. Win, win.
The novel is told in large gaps of time, advancing it much more quickly and further than any of the other stories. This was discombobulating at first, but then I did appreciate how it moved the story along vs having to hear about their day to day for days of pages. All of Dixon's books are fast paced, no dragging. These books are a fun read and always make me happy. Best Alien Reads around.

If you read book two do you remember that hero said that he once had a brother but he died?? Well, in this one you find out that he is not dead.
Rukh is a child of wild. He grow up alone and you can't really call him a human being. He wasn't in contact with any of his species for a long time, and when he finds his mate - Harlow - he already forgotten a lot of things. Like, how to speak.
There was a lot of thing that I liked here. Like how Harlow explained to him how to talk again. How he studied. How they were trying really hard to get what they want.
But, there was even more things that I didn't like. On the begging of the book I could connect with a characters and I could feel how they relationship moved, but that was only for 40% book- maximum.
I couldn't see how they relationship developed latter. I couldn't see why we got words''I love you.''
And I definitely couldn't see why we have got so much drama. Don't get me wrong. I love drama, but only in high school and college romance. Okay, with famous people, too, and that would be it. Here it wasn't really necessary.
All in all, solid 3.5 stars.

Hmm, how do I sum up this series????
Well let's start with this extraordinary world that Ruby Dixon has created. It is very visual and so well described in her writing that my imagination didn't have to work too hard but was also stimulated enough to make everything feel very real.
I was intrigued by the concept that both the humans and the aliens had to accept a small parasite or "cootie" into their body to survive on the Ice Planet. This cootie not only ensured their survival and helped heal their bodies from within but also chose their mate for them by resonating when in close proximity.
Now let's get to the stories and the smut.
It really was perfection. Each book is a continuing narrative of the whole story and each couple has a differing story.
I enjoyed them all , some more than others but I can highly recommend this series.
The sexiness and heat was there, even if logically these blue horned aliens don't necessarily sound lke attractive bedfellows.

This one was so sweet and tender, it was made more interesting by the fact that Rukh was abandoned as a kit (child) and didn't speak the alien (tribes) language and his living conditions were also very basic. Therefore Hannah and Rukh had to learn to communicate from scratch and to trust each other. Really adored this one.
These were amazing, sexy, scifi , smutty romances and a helluva lot of fun to read .

Hmm, how do I sum up this series????
Well let's start with this extraordinary world that Ruby Dixon has created. It is very visual and so well described in her writing that my imagination didn't have to work too hard but was also stimulated enough to make everything feel very real.
I was intrigued by the concept that both the humans and the aliens had to accept a small parasite or "cootie" into their body to survive on the Ice Planet. This cootie not only ensured their survival and helped heal their bodies from within but also chose their mate for them by resonating when in close proximity.
Now let's get to the stories and the smut.
It really was perfection. Each book is a continuing narrative of the whole story and each couple has a differing story.
I enjoyed them all , some more than others but I can highly recommend this series.
The sexiness and heat was there, even if logically these blue horned aliens don't necessarily sound lke attractive bedfellows.
