Wanita May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario - St.Catharines. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had a vivid imagination and loads of energy.

The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.

At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.

But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.

Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.

Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).

After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.

Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.

She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.

The heroine: Rae Kerrigan - Found out that someone new wants her dead. She and her friends now mentor new students at Guilder Boarding School.

The Hero(es): Devon - Rae’s partner at the Privy Council and in life. He and Rae have confessed their love for each other and want to be together.

Supporting characters:
Kraigan - Rae’s half-brother by her father. Kraigan has a Tatù like hers but it can steal the ability of whomever he touches, until he touches another person. When going against Rae, he can steal the ability she is using at the time, until he touches her again. Doing this over and over he can steal all of the abilities she has. He also might have an ability similar to his mothers, but Rae doesn’t yet know what that is. Rae has gone up against Kraigan twice and he supposedly left the country after the last time.
Julian - Friend to both Devon and Rae. Julian has the gift of future visions. He is the one person Rae has always trusted. He is having trouble with his visions.
Molly - Rae’s former. Her Tatù is electricity. She loves to shop acts as the stylist for Rae and Devon while they go to the parties and luncheons with the Prince and his fiancé.
Cromfield - lived over 500 years ago and had a Tatù similar to Julian’s where he could see and draw the future.

The Story: Rae, Molly and some of their friends have finals to deal with and graduation from Gilder around the corner. Though many of them work for the Privy Council, they are still required to finish school and graduate. Though they are still working on finding out who is the person behind the murder of her father and Kraigan’s mother, they have to put things aside to take finals and graduate. The story isn’t as strong as the previous books but it ends in quite a surprise.

Another going nowhere story that ends in a cliffhanger. Also what was the point of the previous book about the Royals as that was abandoned with no conclusion when apparently there was a threat to life.

I got the first 6 books for free and haven’t loved any of them. I feel like I may have to read the next book at some point just to find out if anything actually happens as I’ve invested so much time in this series. The 6 books could be condensed into 2 or 3 books at a push.

WELP, the gang has graduated! This is a very nice way to end it for me. The writing is slowly getting better and the characters are finally growing old enough to actually be believable in their actions.

This is the 6th book in the Chronicles of Kerrigan series and I am going to be really honest to begin this review: I almost had no idea where this book started when I ended it. Granted, it took me two weeks to read this 14 chapter book, however, I had to back to the beginning of the book and remind myself what happened in the first few chapters. I even had to back to the ending of the previous book in order to connect the story. I realized this is because after the 4th book, Royal Tea, the whole storyline just blended to together between the short stories of book 5 and 6. It isn't a bad thing, but it does make it a little confusing to distinguish what happened in each book, if one wants to keep track.

But as you can see, this book still gets a 5 star rating and I do have good reasons for this. First of all, addressing the storyline, it does seem like the blending of the storyline almost makes the storyline a little mundane. However, it can also be positive because of the continuity. I appreciate the continuity because it makes you forget that you're reading a book, or even a series of books for that matter. I do concede that the shortness of these last two books do leaving me wondering at the depth of the rest of the books in the series.

This book specifically, I really enjoyed the plot twists and even the additions to the plot. All other books aside, the development of the storyline in this book is very interesting. The addition of characters and the character developments are pretty amazing. There is one character addition that has me asking a lot questions because that is going to be an interesting plot development, that I hope is continued or tied in. I absolutely love the main characters and their development. Their interactions entertain me a lot while reading these stories.

Without giving away too much details, the biggest thing that I loved about this book are the realistic aspects. The different things that happen and the things that you could speculate about have so much real aspects to it. Whether it's about keeping secrets, following rules, family hardship, relationships, and just plain emotions, they are all very relatable. I think that throughout a good majority if not all, of this series, I have always felt that the emotions and actions of the characters were always relatable. I constantly find myself identifying with the characters and drawing on my own emotions related to that situation or topic unconsciously. For this reason alone, this book gets 5 stars from me because this makes me enjoy reading the book a lot. There are holes in the plot and quite a bit of unanswered questions and isn't entirely super spectacular in any specific way. But the ability of the author to make the reading this relatable is a huge thing in my preference for books. I can honestly say that I enjoyed reading this book no matter what.

With that long winded explanation being said, the ending of this book makes me want to buy the next books! The storyline and plot development has me hooked and I don't know what I'm going to do with myself! I look forward to reading the next books and finishing the series! I highly recommend the series for those of you that enjoy action and adventure with good comedy and romance. This is a good series!

I had the ebook and I also listened to some on Audible. Love that the Boxset had the first 6 books of this series. There is a total of 12 in this series and then 6 or so more with a spin-off series; which is really still this series because it’s the same main character, so there’s 12 more books to read to get the full story. Then more spin-off books with some other characters too. The narrator was good; her accent was a little weird at times, but overall she did a great job. I enjoyed the listen. It was nice having the ebook too though.

Overall, the series was entertaining and fun! Love all the powers the characters have! Some really cool tatùs (magical tattoos); healing, fire, electricity, super speed, plus so many more! Loved all of that! There’s also a super sweet romance! This is mostly YA, but there are some light adult elements in these first 6 books. I read all 6 books in a row, and I didn’t get sick of the story, so that a major plus. The story doesn’t start out very original, but it has enough unique elements throughout the series to make the book its own story. It can get a little repetitive and there were times the characters should’ve know something they found out in a previous book, but didn’t. Still overall, lots of interesting ideas going on. I’ll do a brief review of each of the books. There will probably be spoilers in this review for the previous book.

Rae is dealing with her mom being alive, graduation, and her forbidden relationship with Devon. Plus, there’s someone that has been behind all the bad things that have happened to Rae and her family, so Rae and her friends are trying to solve the mystery. Lots of fun and intrigue! Devon is a sweetheart in this one, and it’s great to see Rae and Him grow even closer. Rae is still kicking butt with her powers and it’s great to see her maturing. Still lots of entertaining action!

I really do want to continue this series, but with so many books left and about $3.99 a pop for each one, I’m going to have to hope another Boxset comes out with the rest of the books.

Rae has grown up nicely and her powers are not to be trifled with. I related to her on a level on wanting to trust people but being wary of them due to past hurt. As always, the dialogue between the male and female characters is different which is good as it would be boring if it was the same for each character. They all have their own voice. It’s easy to follow and brings the image across in my head quite effortlessly.

Weirdly, I only really read the last few because they were free, but this one has me interested in the next one. If the writing was more in depth and really contained the world it was living, rather than just skipping they the story, I would likely have no problem buying bk7 now. Unfortunately, while the skipping over things has gotten better in the last few books, it's still far too much of the style to be enjoyable.

Fun engaging storyline reminiscent of Harry Potter magic. However you don't get to hear of the actual classes and information she learns at the pseudo school of music and this was the biggest disappointment. You can't help but compare it to Harry Potter with questions left at how exactly their society is run.

#spoiler#
I'm not exactly sure if it was really explained by the people with powers could not procreate. Seems impossible to avoid really!

Again we are faced with how to deal with a traitor, but Rae's solution does not sit well with all her companions.
Information lost is found and the final piece of the puzzle is solved. However, first is the examinations for final graduation and the ceremony itself.
A more sedate episode but progress is being made to find the master mind.

So many things happening at once, again! It seems there is a most unlikely mastermind behind a dark plot. Through her mother's memories, Rae has found out who actually caused the fire in her home. Rae is again juggling work, romance, and studying, whilst Kraigan is back in the picture. Graduation from Guilder, and a blinding realisation about herself ... Just love this series!

Enjoying the new side characters that have joined in this book and I am really hoping that they stay and don't end up being just another piece of the puzzle of people that are out to get Rae or use her. Also I am loving the Mollie and Luke combo, because I really hope that they continue to stay in the books. I wish we got to know more about Beth and Carter's back story and current story as well.

So, I've gotten invested in this series. I'm not obsessed as I sometimes am with book series, but this one of those light reads I enjoy but can put down when needed.
I'm definitely going to buy the next book.

Very good wrap up of Rae's time at Guilder. However, to me, the ending was unexpectedly disheartening.

Action-packed. Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Romantic. Scary. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.

Part of anthologies, sets, and collections.
