Another amazing story from the most exciting new writer I have read this year. This is an earlier effort from 2014.
Isa dies in a tragic accident at the mill. She yearns for her dead husband, (killed in the war) but her main priority in protecting their orphaned daughters from a life at the mill. Her ghostly love encircles them.
I don't think I can say more without spoiling this evocative and stunning story.

Another beautiful story for Alix E. Harrow. If she ever compiled a book of her short stories, I'd buy them in an instant!
This story is about the strength of a ghost, who was once a mother and a wife. Dead she might be, but not without a lot of a determination to do right, somehow.

This is beautiful and haunting. I'm not certain what else this author has written but I'll be looking for her name.

Beautiful short story about a widowed witch, whose dead husband sends her letters from beyond the grave inside birds. A new take on the tradition of reading the entrails, when a paper and ink letter can be found within them...
