A good story about 1960ies expat life in Istanbul, I lived it myself a decade later. Initiated and true description of a fantastic but sometimes frustrating life along the shores of the Bosphorus. A beautiful, but sad ending.

A novel of American expatriate life in Istanbul that is by turns funny and tragic, from the translator of Nobel Prize winner, Orhan Pamuk.
