This is a lovely series of Dragon Warriors kidnapping human females to save their world.

Each book can be read as a stand alone read, but they all tie nicely together. They are all sexy, romantic, exciting full of danger and fantasy.

Maia Starr is a brilliant writer, I read all of these individually and loved them all, I highly recommend this series

This is one of my favorite series! Although it does need editing, the content of the books is wonderful. The dragon shifters are called Draqua which indicates that they are actually Water Dragons who live on the planet Kelon, which is mostly comprised of water. Their planet is like a tropical paradise. Because a majority of their females became infertile, the cause still undiscovered, they realized they needed to find compatible alien mates or their race would die out. So for quite some time, once they found Earth females provided what they needed, they would make periodic trips to Earth and kidnap their quota. Every one of the women eventually fell in love with the planet – and usually with one of the delightful Draqua men. The men are definitely alpha and it is so much fun watching how their ladies teach them who's boss (eventually ).

Up to that part, the stories are similar. But each one has an amazing adventure to focus on one or more of the men and how they chose or connected with their mate. In this great box set, you can read one after the other! You won’t get bored because each is different enough to keep the reader’s interest up. There is danger, suspense, romance, a little bit of everything. And a dangerous enemy to continually battle or watch out for – the enemy being those of their people who didn’t agree with diluting the dragon shifter bloodline with humans. The offspring ended up with various extra powers, which enhanced the stories even more.

Seriously, I loved every single one of these and hope the author writes more! They really are good story lines, and the characters are almost always someone the reader can respect and cheer for. I highly recommend these books – I own and have read all of them. Be patient with the editing errors – they are irritating but the quality of the stories overrides that distraction.

I enjoyed this set of sci-fi romances. I liked some of the characters better than others.

The dragon shifters regularly come to Earth to find human females to bring back to their planet as their women are not fertile any longer. They are supposed to be quiet about the abductions.

Cylo was a little harder for me to connect to as a character, I didn't like his attitude towards women. I liked Melody who really hates the phoniness of the people around her on Earth who want to use her connection for their own benefit. Being kidnapped is something that shakes her life up. She feels an attraction to Cylo but her political ties make her staying dangerous for his people. There is a lot of action in the storyline too and some twists you don't expect.

Zoq is one of my favorites. You have a group that does not want to have hybrids and they come to Earth to try to stop the practice. Heather is appointed to be the project manager when these aliens reveal their presence. Zoq works with her and they have an intense attraction that they know is dangerous.

Zoq is used to getting what he wants and any women he wants. Heather has focused on work and really wants an alpha like him to take charge sexually. They make an interesting couple and definitely have good chemistry. I would have liked more time seeing them as a couple. The relationship moves really fast.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

I made it three paragraphs. Here are the first three paragraphs in full. If this doesn’t explain my rating to a potential buyer, then they deserve this book.

I saw a large dark shadow just underneath the surface of the water. The massive ripples let me know that it was something fast. It looked dangerous, but I could not look away. I took a few more steps and got as close as I could to the edge of the cliff jutting over the Pacific Ocean. I was very scared of heights and I did not want to be anywhere near the edge, but I had to take a look. My knees grew weak as I looked out over the water. "Are those wings?” I whispered to myself as I watched the dark shadow underneath the water get closer to the surface and create a dark outline. It looked like a very large bird swimming underneath the water. "That can't be, Melody. I think the pressures of being the president's daughter have finallycaught up with you,” I said as I rubbed my eyes and shook my head from side to side as though I could make it disappear.

To be fair, I only lasted about the first fifteen pages of this series before my brain stopped functioning and it was either give up attempting to read this swill or risk permanent injury. The characters and scenes changed without any notice to the reader other than a new paragraph. The main female in the first book was supposed to be a 25yo woman but her actions and dialogue read like a 9yo spoiled brat. When the author penned something to the effect that Female said something hilarious, all the friends laughed and then one friend was written to actually say "OMG, that was so funny" in their dialogue. I gave up. If something is funny, readers will see it. If you have to reiterate several times in two sentences how funny something was, it wasn't funny. Nor amusing. In fact, it should be erased from the story entirely unless it's sarcasm.

Not only would I not recommend this book, nor would I be interested in other stories from this author.

Good box set. Not gonna lie the editing errors are kind of annoying, but I guess I have a soft spot for that since I’m an author and know just how hard it is to launch a book in the first place lol. These stories follow a band of dragon shifters but these aren’t the fire breathing kind – they’re water dragons! Due to the fertility of their females suddenly dying, these dragons reached far and wide to find fertile life forms, and they land on earth. Their mission was originally to kidnap these women and bring them back by force, but each of the hunky dragons eventually fall in love with their mates. And what’s more, the kids end up having amazing powers that the dragons don’t even have! Overall a great read.

4 stars!

A fun and exciting new series of dragon shifters. Aliens have been stealing women from Earth and have kept their presence unknown. And now the hybrid male offspring want to find their mates. Earth women may want to hide, but maybe they shouldn’t. One these males mate and marry they will love and be loyal to their females for ever. Doesn’t hurt that they are huge all over and gorgeous. Highly suggest this series for anyone who readers sci-fi romances.

This series kept me wanting to read more and more

I love reading series they seem to keep me wanting more and therefore they deliver. I have given 5 stars because it kept me entertained, I also love everything dragon although they are mythical creatures, the writing was good but had quite a bit of typographical errors but I just corrected as I went along, I couldn't stop reading I just had to know what came next, the warriors of Draqua are fierce and protective of their partners and the sex scenes were descriptive without being gross.

I really enjoyed this series about dragons looking for their mates. I had read a few of the stories before I received an ARC of this, so I knew what I was getting, but reading them all in order, and together, made me enjoy them even more. The stories are all fun, with wonderful characters and exciting adventures, and they all have a HEA. This is a great price for some wonderful dragon shifter romances.

Best read

I loved how each book built on the other. The way it explained why the had to have human mates and what it meant. The way each male mated for life and stayed faithful to that person was the best part ever. The way the description of various plants and animals transported you to that planet

Long book, and longer, longer

I enjoyed all the shifter stories. The heroines were strong women and mated to dracons. The writing was interesting. The heroines all got in trouble, but the dragons always saved the day.

Did you ever think about other planets with their life forms? Well these books open our minds to this possibility with a happy ever after. I enjoyed the journey. Along with the mind visions they inspired! Plus the chapters in each other’s point of view.

I loved the story line and plot and thought the series had great potential. However, the story falls far short of what it could have been. the characters really aren't developed well enough to tell u what they are like other than a quick simple description, the human females all seem to just fall in love instantly with the men and the island and agree to stay there which is totally unbelievable. at least some of those females would be furious at being kidnapped, desperate to get home to loved ones, to what is familiar and fight the dragons making it more interesting. the writing style seemed stilted, too formal in many places using the full words instead of contractions which would have made the dialogue flow easier and sound more realistic, and juvenile in places. also as with many Maia Starr books I have read, this series too is badly in need of editing. I don't know who edits her books but there are always many wrong words, spelling mistakes and lots of grammar errors which make reading the books a bit challenging at times as u are reading along and suddenly the sentence makes no sense whatsoever. Ms. Starr has the potential to be a fantastic writer but needs to take more time developing her characters and story line to fulfill that potential. until then her stories will be good and ok but not terrific.
