The Bad Guys have strangely acquired SUPERPOWERS! But their powers might be, well, defective. They can only do things like blow their own pants off in public. Not exactly what you'd call hero-caliber skills.

Defective or not, the Bad Guys have a job to do. With Marmalade ready to destroy the world, Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, and Mr. Shark finally have their chance to be (super)heroes! And this time, they may just get some help...

The good guys club is back and they have superpowers after time travel. Legs is the only one without any superpowers. They also have a newest member who joined them in their time-travel, a dinosaur called Milton.

The good guys club meets the international league of heroes in this. The international league of heroes help the good guys train and control their superpowers. Once, they are trained they are going against Dr. Marmalade and other aliens.

I laughed throughout. It was too short but a fun read still with great illustrations and some cool new characters but Mr. Snake remains my favorite.

How do you fool your 8yo into reading on NYE instead of gaming? score one for librarian mama and the serendipitous hold becoming available. When he finished, he let out an audible gasp! Even better. Then we had to start reading it again together with him begging for 5 more minutes. Had it not been a school night, we might have finished in one read.

I give the first half a solid three and the ending a 5. I like that they added more badass female characters.

I am definitely not the demographic for this book. I read and then found myself skimming. Maybe it's because I started with book 8 or maybe it's because I'm not an 8 year old boy. I'm glad there are books like this that appeal to young readers. To each his own.

While I'm sure the audience intended for this read (8-10 year old boys) would find this fantastic, I was not very impressed. I could follow the story, but there is no attachment to character development and the graphics are just ok.

The Bad Guys have returned from the past bringing with them superpowers. They join connect the International League of Heroes who help them understand and harness their powers and work together to defeat the aliens. Once their training is complete both teams go forth as one with a plan, but Marmalade has other plans as well. Funny, and humorous the saga continues, and the back story of The International League of Heroes is revealed.

New characters and plot development woooo!!!! They did the one thing where they were or acting their super powers and working at developing their abilities and it brought me so much joy. Also I’m loving the creating of mr. Wolf into being the big bad wolf. I’m so excited for the continuation ahhhh

3.5 stars. This kept my 8-year-old very engaged and entertained. I liked the league of female superheroes in this one. The plot was silly but not terrible. I'm about ready to be done with this series, but it looks like we still have quite a few to go.

The Bad Guys finally team up with The League of International Heroes (all women! 🤗🤗).

It's ok just can't find the bit where they get their superpowers, even though it said in this book they would.

Fun storyline, but also don’t love the “to be continued” continuously. Ready for the next book though.

*This review was verbally created by an 8-year-old boy, and transcribed by me*

What I did not like about this book is when Dr. Marmalade zapped Mr. Wolf and made him bigger, stronger, and tougher!

I also did not like when Mr. Snake made Mr. Wolf go get him things like a muffin and a trumpet with his superpower.

What I did like, though, is Mr. Snake’s eyes when they were swirly and I liked when he lifted the fridge and Agent Fox . . . and made her sing an opera.

I did not like how creepy Agent Hogwild was with Mr. Piranha.

My new favorite characters are Agent Doom and Milton. Milton the dinosaur is really smart.

From a parent’s perspective.

I have to agree with the little dude and say the way Hogwild interacted with Mr. Piranha was . . . inappropriate. Her entire character was a smidge inappropriate, to be honest.

I do love that these books are very seamless in the transition from one to the other with the storyline. There’s no guessing where it left off.

Secretly, as a woman myself . . . I am loving the second group of agents because they’re all female. Females kicking butt.

Now my kiddo gets to experience the “waiting for the next book in the series to be released” problem us bookworms deal with on the regular. Come on end June!

{My thoughts} – This book isn’t so much an adventure as it is about getting to know The Bad Guys. When The Bad Guys managed to get back from the past they came back with some super powers. Can you believe it? Who would have thought that a trip to the past and back would result in super powers. It kind of makes me want to travel backwards to see what happens?

The Bad Guys get to train with Agent Fox and her crew. This helps them to learn how to better use their super powers. How to better control their super powers.

I really enjoyed this book. It has it’s funny moments like all the other books. But this one showed me that it’s okay to be different from everyone else. And that you may not know everyone’s personal story so you shouldn’t judge them. It helps to know all information before choosing to make up your mind about someone or something.

There’s a nice little ending where we get a run in with the evil guinea pig again. I wonder what he is up to and what his plan is this time around. He already has all his alien buddy’s attacking Earth. I mean what more could he do at this point. We have no choice but to wait until June 2019 when the next book is set to be released!

This hasd some of the elements of the first bad guys that was my favorite so far. It can be read without having read the other 7 but many kids want to read them all in order. This one introduces the female counterpart "The International League of Heroes". I do think teacher could still have kids write their own or their friends, pets, or even inanimate objects descriptions. This volume is interesting because Agent Fox says she was hunted when she was young, with the accompanying illustration depicting her pursuers on horseback dressed in traditional British fox-hunting garb. While we can’t see their faces, this seems to suggest that humans exist in the “Bad Guys” reality. Or does Fox come from a different reality?

Not a lot of plot development in this one. Kind of like a montage of the bad guys learning to use their superpowers. I love the inclusion of the all girls team but Hogwild’s sexual harassment was somewhat icky, especially in a children’s book.

This installment goes by too quickly, especially since some of its page count gets spent just on introducing new characters, but the story is entertaining, and the superhero training segments are delightful. I also am a huge fan of the Milton, the erudite British velociraptor.

This was a Interesting and useful book. For example , in this book it show many things that can let people laughing but it also can show some reason for the reader. I choose to read this book because i read two books that was the same series , and those books all was very short and can quickly to read.
My favorite character in this book is the girl called " AGENT FOX", because she was very beautiful and smart. For example , at the almost over of the story , when she talk with Mr snake , Mr snake call into question,he said " You and your team don't know what happen to our , so why you say that you can help our and let our to be better ?" Although the Mr snake was very excited , but the the fox just use Peaceful tone to tell Mr snake what were happen on themselves ( some was very bad ) and give Mr snake some time to think about it , I think that maybe the bad thing happen on Miss fox was no very good , but she can say that and don't have more mood / emotion , so i think she was a very powerful lady. The book make me think although some time the bad thing happen on you , but you also can eliminate it , like let it away from you , or maybe try to do something to help you solve it。

The best in the series so far....Review: (Contains some spoilers) The Bad Guys (also now called the Good Guys Club) have returned to earth after a brief detour to prehistoric times in book seven. All of the original characters acquired super powers during the time travel. But they are having difficulty controlling their powers, and the aliens have unleashed an invasion of earth. We have already met Agent Fox from the International League of Heroes, and we now meet the rest of her team, who train the new superheroes. But, of course there is a cliffhanger at the end…...

-Why Read It: Life can be tough for young kids, and one of the ways it can be tough is hearing that they are “bad”. This can take many forms (grades, behaviors, etc.), but a lot of kids have a self image that suffers because because of this message. “The Bad Guys” is an antidote to this, and can inspire kids to overcome this message. This book highlights some potential ways this might happen.
