From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a saga of forbidden love and second chances. They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after. I said I wouldn’t read any more overpriced Meghan March trilogies. I have loved some of them in the past, but felt very lackluster about her most recent $4.99 a pop (times three of you actually want the whole story) offerings; however, I got this one for free and figured if I loved it enough, I wouldn’t feel as bad springing for the remaining books in the series.

That said, I am glad I stuck to my guns and only grabbed this because it was gratis. The characters and story line felt tired - like something I’ve already read before. Many times over. And the flashbacks were killing me. Not a fan. Not continuing on.

‘RICHER THAN SIN' is the first full length romance novel in Meghan March’s 'Sin' series. Spoken in dual points of view in the past and present.

A Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after. Our family feud is the stuff of legends.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

In this we meet Lincoln Riscoff and Whitney Gable both are caught up in their families feud which spans a decade.

Lincoln at an early age always knew what his life would entail, a heir to a multibillion dollar empire his job was to preserve and protect the family legacy.

Ten years ago Lincoln and Whitney met as strangers in a hole in the wall bar, neither knowing who the other was, one night of passion that came falling down around them when their surnames were uncovered. She was his dirty little secret, liaisons in secret, if anyone found out about them there would be hell to pay.

I was broke, he was richer than Sin

OMG!! I couldn’t put this down!! This got it’s claws into me as soon as I opened up that very first page and didn’t let me go until I’d read that very last word, to say I loved this is an understatement. There is absolutely nothing I would change about this book!! Hang on yes there is, in true Meghan style this ends in a cliffy!!

This was completely different to what we've seen from 'Meghan March' in the past.
One taste of the forbidden fruit and Lincoln wanted another taste. A family fued that spanned decades, innocents caught up in the cross fire, an undeniable attraction that couldn't be denied, a love that spanned ten years, now she's back in town and all bets are off.

This ticked so many boxes, you've got the forbidden romance aspect, which brought a sh*t ton of drama, angst, from enemies to lovers, second chance romance, from riches to rags, and family dynamics which made for a riveting read.

* Teaser used is off the authors facebook page *

I’m not even going to lie right now, I fucking inhaled this book shamelessly!! I told myself that this story was worth savoring and enjoying like a fine glass of wine but when you have a prologue like that? Going slow, takes a back seat. I’ve been anticipating this story for a very long time and as usual, Meghan March did not disappoint.

I’m not ashamed to admit that seeing the cover for this one took away half of my brain cells but with sheer determination, I managed to not only get enraptured with the story itself, but fall for in love with some of the best characters written to date. Going into the story, your breath is immediately held hostage because you know for a fact that this is not going to end well but you still have hope. A lot of good that did but in the end, all is forgiven because your number one goal is to find out how two people who were never meant to be together, made a love story that could potentially burn down their own town.

“Listen up Blue. You’re back in my town. You can hear me. You can see me. You can pretend I’m not here all you want, but I am…. And there's one thing you should know. We aren’t fucking done”.

Told from dual POV’S between past and present with rivalry families, this was the story of Lincoln Riscoff and Whitney Gable ’s tumultuous relationship and a family rivalry that was put into place before either one of them were born. 10 years ago on one of the worst days of his life, Lincoln’s life was forever changed when he met a dark haired, blue eyed beauty one night. Unbeknownst to them, that night was the start of a domino effect that's going take years to undo.

I know I’m being extremely vague for this review but if you’ve read any of this author's work, then you know there is no other way to go about it. You really have to go in blind and just experience everything for yourself because in my opinion, it’s better when you do. What I will say is that I loved these characters(most of them) And the way they were portrayed. Lincoln and Whitney were electric together and neither time or distance diminished their passion and I loved feeling that.

With a wtf cliffhanger, family betrayal, power and greed, Rich as Sin is a guaranteed sexy indulgence that's going to leave you wanting more.

She’s coming back.
Whitney Gable . . . the only girl I ever wanted to see walk down the aisle in white.
And then she did. To someone else.

Every time I am starting a book by Meghan March, I feel like I am watching a movie.
Very descriptive scenes, very fast pace, many twists. Almost nothing is given to the readers from the beginning. It is untangled slowly and sometimes painful. I keep guessing all the time what happens next. Most of the times I am surprised.

This is a second chance romance and the story is unveiled in two time periods: Present day and ten years ago. It also has two points of view: by Whitney and by Lincoln.
Whitney's and Lincoln's families had been sworn enemies since forever. They both have a long history in the Gable town. Lincoln's family owns the town, but Whitney's family have given the name to the town.
Whitney and Lincoln fell in love 10 years ago. A forbidden love that it could not last. People died, people got hurt and Whitney married someone else and left her town.

Now 10 years after, Whitney is a widow accused for her husbands death and she returns to her hometown. Lincoln is a billionaire as usual and he hasn't forgotten her.

The book stops with a cliff-hanger
“What have you done?”

My need for her is still as strong as ever. She’ll never be out of my blood.

Let’s talk about addicting reads for a hot second here. Because this book? This is a second chance romance meet Romeo and Juliet vibes. It’s sizzling hot. It’s deliciously angsty. It’s a page turner from beginning to a jaw dropping end. This author knows how to deliver a cliffhanger that leaves her readers rocking in a corner, craving their next March Fix until the next book is out. And this reader? I'm officially hooked!
Kissing Lincoln Riscoff was like finding salvation when you’d thought all was lost. It didn’t feel like kissing the enemy.

Told in alternating parts of past and present, Richer Than Sin starts with a jaw dropping prologue that immediately sets the tone of this book. It's a mystery wrapped in some angst, with Meghan's signature sizzle sprinkled in. Lincoln Riscoff is the son of one of the most wealthiest and influential families. It's also a family that has had a long standing feud with the Gables, and no matter how many years have passed, the hate and animosity these families have towards each other has only grown. When a beautiful girl catches his attention, it's much too late by the time he realizes that she's a Gable. Nor does he care.
She was fire and heat and spice. Tasted like trouble. And I wanted it all.

But the odds are stacked against them and you're reading the story at the edge of your seat, just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Because you know that when it finally does, it'll be devastating.

Now ten years later, after their disastrous short lived relationship has blown apart and left them both shattered, Whitney is back. But Lincoln isn't the man he was before, and this time he's not letting her go.
I may not be able to change the past, but I can sure as hell make sure it doesn’t repeat itself.

For as many answers as we get in this book, we're left with even more questions. This author really knows how to give just enough while leaving you absolutely ravenous for more.

Each look into their past, unravels more secrets. But it also lets you know that there's much more than what originally meets the eye. I can't wait to see what the next book brings!

Honestly it wasn't bad...but I can't say that I enjoyed reading it. I'm just not one for insta love it tends to make me cringe, add to that the slut shaming, I was actually surprised by how much the females in this book attacked each other with words like “slut” and “whore”.

And then another thing I had a hard time with was that in the beginning the h and H had a ONS, which the heroine had never done before and was much more inexperienced, which okay whatever I don't care, what I do care about was the constant annoying thoughts and comments from the heroine. She felt the need to keep telling him that it was her first ONS so that he didn't think she was easy, I mean I get it if she told him because she was nervous or wasn't quite sure how they worked. But nope she just didn't want him to think badly of her. I mean really? What about him then? He'd clearly had ONS but was she judging him? No. Of course fucking not. It just really turned me off, I know that by now I'm probably supposed to be used to it but as usual I'm just being naive. It honestly makes me sad that authors keep doing this over and over. Enforcing a sexual double standard in which boys can engage in sexual behavior freely, whereas girls can only do it when it’s part of transaction that includes love or marriage.

Other than that it just wasn't really for me. I was expecting more out of it and it fell kinda flat in my opinion.

I just felt like it kept repeating itself Lincoln our hero: “You are mine Whitney (the heroine) and I'm never letting you go”. Then they have sex. Whitney: “We can't be together Lincoln because of our families feud.” Then they have sex again . Whitney:Crying. Lincoln: Consoling. Then they have sex again Lincoln's mother: Having a heart attack. Whitney: “We can't be together.” Lincoln: “You are mine Whitney and I'm not letting you go again.” Whitney: Crying. And over again. Then they of course fuck again.
Then...BOOM! Cliffhanger

Like I said it wan't bad per say...It just really wasn't my kinda book but you never know you might like it, you never know until you read it. And if you really enjoyed it then good for you don't let my opinion offend you, we all have different tastes.

Richer Than Sin starts off Meghan March's newest trilogy following Lincoln Riscoff and Whitney Gable. Ten years ago they fell for one another even though it went against everything their families wanted. Gable's and Riscoff's have a long standing family feud and no one wanted to see the two together. The town got it's wish when they separated and Whitney moved away. But now after all these years she's back and on Lincolns radar. The town may not think she's good enough for him, but for Lincoln, Whitney has always been the only one he wanted and now she's his for the taking.

I thought this book was a good introduction to these characters and their story. I liked getting to know them and it was interesting to try and unravel the tangled web of secrets and drama from their past. There were certain things that kept me captivated by what was going on and I really liked that about the story and thought the intrigue was the best part of it. More than that, Whitney and Lincoln were great characters I thought, they were well developed and both had me interested to find out more about them.

Where I had my issues was the time line. The story is told in both the present and ten years in the past when Lincoln and Whitney first met. At first it kept me intrigued and dying to find out what was going to happen in each part. But then as I read on it became somewhat of an annoyance. It just happened too much for my liking since at times it was almost every other chapter that was being told in a different time. It left me feeling like I didn't know much about either the past or the present.

Overall, I had my issues with how many time jumps there were but this is definitely still a story I'm dying to read more of and I can't wait to get my hands on the next installment to find out if my suspicions on the what happened in the past are correct.

Forbidden Love + Second Chance Romance. What’s not to love?

One of my unicorn authors, Meghan March, always excites and thrills. She kicks off a brand new trilogy that is sure to please romance readers. There’s a little bit of everything in this one.
*Forbidden Love
*Family Drama
*Angst
*Suspense

All that goodness wrapped up in a beautiful package. A seriously beautiful package! This cover is amazing.

Here’s what I loved:
The close knit family ties. I’m a sucker for families who will sacrifice for one another.
Strong hardworking women who rally together are my jam and you see that shine through in this novel.
The mystery and suspense are SPOT ON! I’m still spinning trying to figure out what’s going to happen next and what secrets will be unveiled. I have some sneaking suspicions, but I’m sure they’re all wrong. 😂😂
It’s a page turner. Although I wasn’t able to read it in one sitting (gotta work you know) it was definitely intriguing and kept my interest throughout.

I had a slight issue with the flashbacks. They are informative and provide the backstory for many characters and situations, but it’s just not something I love. Totally a personal preference.

But all in all, this is a fantastic start to what I’m sure will be another blockbuster series! Recommended!

Lincoln Riscoff had a crush on Whitney Gable from the moment he saw her. She was different than the other women he has met. The only ‘problem’ is that she’s a Gable. The Gable family and the Riscoff family can’t stand each other for several generations. But Lincoln wants Whitney so bad that he doesn’t care that she is a Gable. Whitney is more hesitant than him to give him a chance. She will leave town one day and only return many years later.

I adored Whitney and Lincoln. Whitney Gable is feisty, strong, independent, determined and a little lost. She needed to be somewhere else to process some things and she decides to move back home. She’s happy to see her aunt and cousin again. Whitney isn’t sure what to do when she sees Lincoln again. Her feelings for him are still there, but she isn’t ready for a new relationship and especially not with a Riscoff.

Lincoln Riscoff is rich, hardworking, protective, determined and strong. When he wants something, he will do anything to get it. I loved it that he doesn’t care that Whitney is a Gable and how much he wants her in the past and present. Lincoln doesn’t let Whitney go without a fight and he will do anything to get a chance with her. He has never forgotten her.

Richer Than Sin is an incredible start of the Sin trilogy. It was addictive, sexy and unique. That cliffhanger makes me need the next one right now! I need to know what happens next and to know more about Whitney and Lincoln. I was hooked after reading the prologue. I only needed those few pages to want to know the history and future of Whitney and Lincoln as a couple. There were some flashbacks and I loved those. They made me understand the attraction between Whitney and Lincoln in the present. They are off the charts hot together! I can’t wait for more!

Richer than Sin by Meghan March
GENRE: Contemporary Romance

AUDIO AVAILABLE? Yes

THE STORY:
The Riscoff and Gable families have been enemies for generations, The Riscoff’s own the majority of the town called Gable, which they apparently stole from the Gable family causing the feud.

Lincoln Riscoff, the next heir to family fortune has been summons back to town by his grandfather to learn the business and settle down to produce another heir, as part of his inheritance conditions. Lincoln is not in the least happy about being back in town, that is until he sets his eyes on the blue eyed beauty at the towns local bar.

Un be knowns to Whitney the handsome stranger is her sworn enemy and they were never, ever meant to be together.

A Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after. Our family feud is the stuff of legends

description

MY THOUGHTS:
The story is told from both Whitney and Lincolns point of view and frequently jumps back and forth from past to present throughout the story. I know that puts off a lot of readers when authors do this but It flowed extremely well and worked perfectly for this storyline.

There is not a big wait to get to the first steamy sex scene and in Meghan March usual style it is HOT! There is no slow burn which one would normally expect from Meghan, but it was a refreshing change and worked well within the storyline, creating the push and pull as an after effect.

Lincoln and Whitney were both likeable characters, Lincoln is very different to the customary spoilt rich kid turned playboy billionaire heir, he did not have the air of arrogance we would usually see in this type of character. Yes, he was still cocky but it was not overbearing or ignorant. He knew what he wanted and was prepared to take it but not without permission or purpose first.

Poor Whitney, she really bombed out in the luck department not only in life but in love. She was quietly strong in her struggles though and didn’t want nor expect anyone’s sympathy and I think that is why I loved her so much.

Lincoln and Whitney share a passionate connection with one another which is really well portrayed in the writing and it’s why I become so drawn in to their story, waiting in anticipation for them to find a way to be with one another despite their differences, but the book ends on a killer cliff-hanger, damn you Meghan!! Book #2 thankfully is due out in September so I won’t have to wait too long.

OH, HELL NOOOOO!!! Meghan March is the queen of cliffhangers. I OBJECT!!!
Lincoln Riscoff is gorgeous and wealthy, slated to take over his family multibillion dollars empire. His only job is to marry well and protect and preserve the family legacy. Lincoln can have any woman he wants but he only has eyes for Whitney Gable. Who is she? She belongs to a long line of family feuds spanning back several generations. Lincoln is used to getting what he wants … he went after Whitney and he crashed and burned when Whitney married a rock star. Ten years later, Whitey came home still long legged, sexy as sin, and minus a ring on her finger…

“They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after . . . but I’m not done with Whitney Gable.”

Let the chase begins.

Oh dear! I am so freaking addicted to Meghan March. This book is absolutely HOT, angsty, greedy, full of drama, scandals, twists and turns. I love the forbidden love aspect. No spoiler but the ending … hot damn! I am about to have a heart attack. Just when things start to heat up, shit hits the fan. AHHHHH!!! I need book 2 ASAP.
August 14, 2018
The story is a mess.
And there’s lot of slut-shaming. The men and also the women in this book use lots of cussing words.

I’m traumatized😖😖😖

And it’s the women who slut-shames each other more than the men. It’s so shameful.

Anyways the h is such a spineless woman. After leaving the H ten years ago, she is back in the town where he is like a king. Don’t she have anywhere else to go in this big world? And the nerves of her.....she goes to massage and spa at his resort. Wow. And then his mom, who abhors the h, sees the h getting massage and facial in their resort. Obviously she insults the h.
The h have no shame at all.
And the H’s mother getting a heart attack every time she sees the h was too ott. And yep the H is still lustful for the h even when his mom is in the emergency room because of the h.

The story goes something like this...
H and h meet in a bar. They fuck. It’s like a rebound fuck for the h because she just broke up with her cheating rockstar bf. But next morning she gets the shock that she just fucked her enemy. Her family enemy. She tries to avoid him but he keeps pursuing until she finally agrees. But still she ends up marrying the cheating rock star anyways.

She leaves the town and the H. After 10 years, she comes back after her rockstar husband dies after drug overdose. Now his fans are blaming the h.

We are supposed to feel pity for the h.
No fucking ways.

And I have one question.
What the hell does the H sees in the h? Why is he obsessed with her?

Sweet baby Jesus and all the Saints. This is not our typical Meghan March book. It's Meghan March x 102836263. It's everything we want in her books but even more delicious...more action packed...just MORE.
This first installment of the trilogy will leave you reeling. It will leave you begging for more.....begging you for answers.....begging for the next book immediately.
Meghan shows her incredible writing skills flawlessly with Richer Than Sin and I can't wait to devour more with Guilty as Sin.

OMG! This is a whole new Meghan March world to become immersed in! And of course that means I cannot say too much without spoilers.

This one is richly layered in history, secrets, forbidden love, and family drama. This town is almost not big enough for these two families...the Riscoffs and the Gables...the haves and the have-nots.

I went in totally blind and was engrossed from the beginning with the setting, the characters, and the changing dynamics. And the two people caught up in the middle of it--past and present--are plagued by a ton of unresolved feelings, pain, anger, guilt, insecurities, misunderstandings, and regret. There is seriously so much going on in this book in the ten year time period it spans.

I loved Lincoln. He's the perfect dichotomy of strong, rich, alpha male, but his vulnerable heart knows who he wants. And he is so persistent and willing to go after her even if it is not a good idea. But he not only has to fight her fears, but also has to walk a fine line with staying in the good graces of his family who have very high expectations.

And Whitney...she's a girl whose choices have had consequences. Nothing comes easy for her, and she tends to run when things get too hard. She has lived a different life for ten years, but is now back home facing the man from her past. She is honest, sassy, sweet, but also lost, defeated, and overwhelmed.

A woman who feels like a curse and a failure. Her good intentions seem to end in drama and ruin. A man who wants her to believe she is worthy. He has everything money can buy, but could not hold on to the one thing he ever really wanted. And they are surrounded by a host of people with hidden agendas that would love nothing more than to keep them apart and perpetuate drama.

Being apart is hard, but being together brings just as much turmoil. The stakes are high, and they both have a lot to lose. And their choices could have a ripple effect throughout their families.

Oh my! Be ready to be swept up! These people. This couple. This drama and angst! I love this new world! It is an epic and dynamic family saga with an intense forbidden, second-chance romance at the core. It is full of heartbreak, pain, betrayal, antagonism, but also serious chemistry, unresolved feelings, and some crazy humor. It is not as dark and deadly as the last two trilogies and has a more contemporary romance feel. But it still has all of the layers and connections woven together that make it a full, riveting, and compelling story and keeps you wondering what will come next.

Think sweeping sagas like Dallas and Dynasty with all the drama, feuds, and betrayals. It is told in dual points of view in the past and present. It is an intricately layered and well developed story with plenty of secrets, mysteries, twists, and surprises...and yes, it is a trilogy so there is a cliffhanger too. And the couple at the center of it have such a strong connection and hot chemistry, but so many challenges.

I cannot freaking wait for more with this couple and all of the quirky and intense side characters! Some of them I love and some of them I hate, but it all just blends together to make this a captivating start to a new series. I am excited to find out more and see where the story goes.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Has Romeo and Juliet feuding family vibes!

The Hero: Lincoln Riscoff - He gets drunk and objects at the wedding where Whitney Gable is marrying another man. He is richer than sin and claims that he can buy and sell the groom. Then he is kicked out of the wedding. The groom smirking at him the entire time. Lincoln knew right then and there he wasn’t done with Whitney Gable. Ten years later his grandfather, Commodore tries to talk him into marrying the woman he is currently seeing since he is the Riscoff heir, but ‘business comes first, last and always’ and their business is a billion dollar conglomerate. Commodore tells him she is returning.

The heroine: Whitney Gable - Whitney was beautiful, confident and oblivious to her affect on men. She met Lincoln right after getting rid of her most recent boyfriend who was cheating on her and wanted some hard liquor and to get out of Gable, but she was stuck. She married a rockstar, left town in a limo and now is returning home by bus as the most hated woman in America, with accusations that she killed her husband because posted something bad on his social media right before overdosing.

The Story: Ten years ago, Lincoln was called home to ‘preserve and protect the legacy’, meaning he has to return home to come back to Gable and work for the family company. He was none too happy about the fact, since he had been living in New York and proving himself in a company that had nothing to do with his family. The town of Gable was nice, in the mountains and all, but the feud between the Riscoff’s and the Gable’s was the stuff of legends. The Gables jumped the Riscoff’s gold claim which started a feud that has lasted 170 years.

Lincoln was sitting in a dive bar in casual clothes and a baseball cap when she walked into the bar and turned his world upside down. Lincoln was attracted to the woman from the start. He felt a connection to her like he had never felt before with another woman. When another man shoves her in the bar, Lincoln steps in and they hightail it out of the place and end up spending the night together before finding out who each other is. Everything changed in the morning after she found out who he was.

I usually hate when there are large time gaps in a book, though I do love Meghan March and this was one of the few series of hers that I hadn’t yet read or listened to. This one had flashbacks to the time ten years ago when she broke up with Ricky the cheating rockstar and met Lincoln. The story was ok, but I guess I didn’t really like the conflict in this one. I didn’t like the whole Romeo/Juliet type storyline because I want my Hero to be more in control of his own life.

This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon, these are two of the best in the business and both are in my list of favorite narrators. Joe has a deep and gravelly voice which is always sexy and works well in any romance. Erin has a clear feminine voice and she is able to show emotion through her voice very nicely. They are terrific together.

All the drama and all the angst with this one and I absolutely loved it!

There is a bit of a Romeo and Juliet feel as Whitney and Lincoln's families have been at war with each other for generations. One unexpected night throws these two together and so starts the beginning of their secret love affair. Their families would throw a fit if they found out and while Whitey tries to resist him, Lincoln is on a mission to claim her as his own.

Lincoln is the ultimate alpha male. Sexy, rich and possessive. He is a Riscoff and he's used to getting what he wants. Whitney on the other hand has grew up on the bad side of town and works as a maid with her Aunt's cleaning service. Despite their differences, the chemistry with these two was undeniable and their connection was palpable.

We go from past to present and get both POVs in this book. It's very intense and reads very fast paced and I had quite a few WTH is happening moments but it was never confusing. Whitney ends up marrying someone else and moving away but 10 years later she is back in town and Lincoln is determined to get his second chance with her.
"I don't know how it's possible, but you're even more beautiful than you were before. You were a girl then. Now you're a goddess, and I'm going to worship you.'

I don't even think I could give any spoilers even if I wanted to. There are so many twists and turns and unanswered questions especially towards the end of the book. Gah! Did I mention I loved the family drama and the angst! So much angst!! Meghan March delivers with this sexy, forbidden second chance romance that was just so damn entertaining. I could not put it down! I can't wait for the next book!

A family feud......Hatfield and McCoys.....Romeo and Juliet.....A forbidden romance. Richer than Sin is a sassy, fast pace, quick witted love story full of angst and determination. From the first page to the last, I was completely absorbed in Lincoln Riscoff and Whitney Gable’s explosive, volatile, lustful and passionate off and on again relationship. Told in past and present and dual POVs, we get to see how Whitney and Lincoln found each other, tried with each other and eventually lost one another.

The feud between families was infamous. The Riscoff’s flourished while the Gable’s floundered. And the hatred between the family soared until Lincoln and Whitney met on a faithful night that would forever change them. Even though they had a connection and a passionate spark, that feud between the families was enough to tear them apart and send Whitney into the arms of another man. But 10 yrs later, Whitney returns home alone. And this time, Lincoln is bound and determined to get what he lost, no matter what it takes. Whitney Gable belongs to Lincoln and this time she isn’t getting away.

The chase is addicting and passionate. Lincoln and his determination in getting Whitney to see what they are to each other is sexy and alluring. But Whitney is broken and believes that she brings chaos to her loved ones and the one she loves. But Lincoln knows otherwise and must prove to Whitney that he is the right and only man for her. It’s not gonna be easy with all the baggage from the past. But the past is the past and the future is now and Lincoln is bound and determined to make things right.

It’s gonna be a very bumpy ride for these two. There are secrets and lies to be uncovered between the two families. The ending was quite an eye opening statement.......AN OMG.....NO WAY.....kinda cliffhanger. It just makes me excited for the next book in the series. It won’t be an easy journey I can tell, but it will be one full of angst and explosive sexy times while trying to make Lincoln and Whitney work. And I’m sure lots more secrets will come to light.

A great start to a fun, passionate, sexy enemies to lovers, second chance romance. Bring on a Book 2!!

4-4.5 ⭐'s

This is my first book by Megan March and it definitely won’t be my last. I went into it not having any idea what to expect besides what was in the blurb. I was definitely hooked after reading that prologue...oh my goodness!

The story is a bit of a spin on the Hatfield's and McCoy‘s but this time it’s the Riscoff's and the Gable's. The rift goes back many years to a betrayal over a mining claim and it’s only increased in its veracity so far. There’s a lot of betrayal and intrigue and a lot of movement behind the scenes that we slowly find out. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Lincoln and Whitney meet in a bar where Lincoln has gone to cry in his beer over having to come back and run the family business. In walks Whitney and he’s gone man. After he protects her virtue, they go to his family's cabin and have a wild night together.

description

Unfortunately, the next morning she actually finds out who he is and runs away. That doesn’t stop him though. He’s a man who always goes after what he wants and he usually always gets it. That was before Whitney Gable rocked his world.

The story goes back-and-forth from the present to ten years ago when they first met. There’s a lot of extenuating circumstances, things that brought them together and things that drove them apart. And of course, there’s their family...their interfering family and a whole bunch of crazy town folk. I also can't leave out the other person in Whitney's life.

I absolutely love that this is a three book series. I love the angst to be drawn out but in a good way. It was amazing how deep Lincoln felt for Whitney. I just love that. I’m really hoping that the next two books expound on that even further and we get to see them present a united front.

“I’m looking at the only thing I want, and you’re telling me it’s impossible because of our last names. I don’t buy that. I will never buy that. Just give me a goddamned chance. That’s all you have to do.”

TORTURE! Pure torture! Meghan March has done it again! She has gotten me so invested that I don’t even know what to do with myself right now! How am I supposed to go on with my life? How am I supposed to even THINK about picking up another book? That’s it! I’ve checked out. Nothing will satisfy my heart or my soul until I get my hands on the next book in the series…NOTHING I tell you!

You would think it would be impossible to get even better than what she has given us in the past, but she’s done it and she’s done it with such flare…such boldness and richness! Whitney and Lincoln will BLOW YOUR EVER LOVIN’ MIND! Richer Than Sin by Meghan March is like Romeo and Juliet on steroids…sexier, dirtier, more suspenseful with so many twists and turns, ups and downs…and without that pesky downer of an ending…well at least I hope not! I’m watching you Meghan March!

No spoilers here…just trust me when I tell you that Ms. March as UPPED her game with the very first book in her FANTABULOUS Sin Trilogy! And just think! We are only getting started people! Can you even imagine what she has in store for us in the next two books? I’m getting giddy, inpatient, and a little crazy just thinking about it! I love this author! I love everything she puts out into the world and after DEVOURING Richer Than Sin, you will know EXACTLY why! So, happy reading and don’t get too comfortable, because you are in for one HELL of a SEXY and FORBIDDEN ride!

I can’t do it. I tried. I really tried because I met Meghan March last year at HWTB and she was so kind and sweet! And her line was long so I figured she’s an awesome writer. I like the hero, but I think for me it’s just the writing is a bit too amateur. I do think the best has yet to come from this author and I’ll be waiting patiently for it until then. But for now I’m moving on....

NO SPOILERS!

HOLY. FREAKING. CRAP! What did I just read?! Richer Than Sin was a sexy, addicting, and entertaining start to the Sin Trilogy, and has been my FAVORITE book from Meghan March so far! The storyline and characters were phenomenal, and I loved the author’s writing style. Everything Meghan March writes is pure gold, and Richer Than Sin was no exception.

The storyline was beyond amazing, and I honestly didn’t want it to end. While Meghan March excels at writing romantic suspense, I believe her true calling is forbidden and second chance romance. I was hooked to Richer Than Sin from the first page to the last, and was enthralled with all of the plot twists and everything else in between. Ms. March constantly kept me on my toes, and even though I knew there would be a cliffhanger, I absolutely did not expect that ending. Richer Than Sin completely blew me away, and I am literally dying to get my hands on the next installment, Guilty as Sin!

The characters were fan-freaking-tastic. Lincoln Riscoff and Whitney Gable have been two of my favorite characters that Meghan March has written so far, and I completely fell head over heels in love with them and their story. I loved their personalities and smoking hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I loved reading the book from both Lincoln and Whitney’s point of view, and all of their banter and interactions with each other. The first part of Lincoln and Whitney’s story was an epic ride that I will never forget, and I’m so excited to read part two in Guilty as Sin!

Richer Than Sin was a sexy, riveting, and addictive introduction to the Sin Trilogy, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! Richer Than Sin has been some of Meghan March’s best work to date, and I absolutely loved everything from beginning to end. I am totally hooked to Lincoln, Whitney, and their story, and can’t wait to read the continuation in Guilty as Sin!

GAH!! Meghan March's stories are absolutely fabulous in that they transport you to a new place with new characters everytime. It doesn't matter what kind of story it is and what genre it falls into, you are guaranteed to be sucked in right away! I absolutely loved Lincoln and Whitney and everything about this story. It was addicting, consuming and something I could not get enough of.

This series (Sin) is so different from her other series in the past as this one had an old fashioned soap opera feel to it. It wasn't dark or gritty like the Anti-Heroes or the Savage series but it was no less intense and gripping. I was hooked on the idea of two feuding families, the Gables and the Riscoffs and the connection that Lincoln Riscoff and Whitney Gable have with one another. Without giving away any spoilers this story was high on the drama and shocks and as per usual had a shocking cliffy!

All in all, this was amazing and that ending!! OMGGGGG I'm dead!! I can't wait for more! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

Wowza, Richer Than Sin is not your typical second chance romance! There’s a mother who needs a fainting couch and another who, well, knows a thing or two about spending some time on a couch. Grandfathers who carry shotguns. Sibling rivalry to beat all sibling rivalry. And let’s not forget two star crossed lovers in the middle of a long-standing family feud. Only Meghan March could pull this scenario off as brilliantly as she does in Richer Than Sin.

I loved Lincoln and Whitney’s history. Their romance. The secret that they tried to keep from their families ten years ago. And now there’s the potential for something again between them . . . maybe . . . Definitely a maybe because that ending, hold onto your hats! It’s going to leave you wanting more! ~ Missy, 4 stars

A great start to an enemies-to-lovers trilogy. Meghan March is a great story teller and had me on the edge of my seat for the entire book. I love the way she weaves the past and present to tell the story of Whitney and Lincoln and how these two got together before they even knew their union was forbidden.

But as with all Meghan March trilogies, I’m angry with the ridiculous cliffhangers and they way she cuts one story into 3 books. I don’t mind purchasing multiple books if that’s what I get. But let’s be honest here. The Sin Trilogy is really just one story disguised as 3.

And because of that, does my 4 star rating even mean anything? I don’t necessarily think so.

“She was fire and heat and spice. Tasted like trouble. And I wanted it all.”

“I wanted her addicted to me. Dying for me. I wanted to be the only person who could make her feel this way.”

“Kissing Lincoln Riscoff was like finding salvation when you’d thought all was lost. It didn’t feel like kissing the enemy.”

Mind Blown! Richer Than Sin is EXACTLY the book I have been looking for. The plot is fast paced and addictive. The story is fresh and unique. The characters grab a hold of you and just totally consume you. This isn’t just a second chance romance. No, this story is so much more. Filled with secrets, lies, money and power, this story will be sure to knock you off your feet and keeping you begging for more….

Richer Than Sin was all that and then some. The Riscoff and Gable’s take family fueds to a whole other level. The hate and greed is off the charts and will leave you with so many burning questions…Why do they hate each other so much? What has kept this feud going for sooooo long. And once you add a delicious, unforgettable forbidden romance, all bets are off. Richer Than Sin is like a modern day soap opera. My most guilty pleasure. And I just couldn’t get enough.

Richer Than Sin had everything you could possibly ask for. From a deep seeded hate, to lies and family expectations, to a Romeo and Juliet style romance. I was hooked on Richer Than Sin from the very first page and found it impossible to put down. This story and it’s writing is absolute perfection and will keep you on your toes right until the very end. And speaking of endings!!! Boy does this story have a good one. I’ve got a million and one questions and I am just dying for the answers. This ending was so delicious and so unexpected!! I certainly didn’t see it coming. I wish I had book 2 right now!! My advice to you, go into this story blind. Allow yourself to get lost in the characters just as I did and enjoy the ride….

Richer Than Sin gives the Sin Series one heck of an amazing start and I for one could not be more excited to see what awaits us next!

I could not put this book down. It was very well-written. It went back and forth between past and present and flowed very well. I absolutely love Lincoln. I had a vague idea about where the story was heading, but the ending was still a shocker. While some questions were answered, I am still left wondering about some things. I can’t wait to see what direction the story goes.

Ms. March does it again with taking on the trilogy...just enough to make you want more. The intrigue set. Leaving you hanging just enough that you are sated, but still wanting for more. My only complaint was wanting more from Lincoln, he wasn’t as hard nosed maybe as I would have wished him to be. Both characters weaknesses were a little hard for me to settle with, but it’s early so...until the next book I will be here refreshing my kindle.
