Havoc is book one in the Tattoos and Ties Duet by Kindle Alexander. I’ve had this duet on my tbr list for a long time and finally decided to jump in. I love the cover of this book so much and definitely used it as a muse while reading.
Keyes (Key) Dixon is twenty seven years old and is a member of the Disciples of Havoc Motorcycle Club in Dallas, Texas. Key, who has always known he was gay, grew up with an abusive dad who is also a member of the club. He’s been on his own since he was sixteen but when his father had health problems, he moved back home to care for him out of duty to his club. He spends seven days a week working at his dad’s tire shop. His life is one cold day after another, working in the shop all day and living with a man who can’t stand him. Key doesn’t do relationships, never has. Only has the occasional hook up. The only time he truly feels at peace is on his bike. It’s on one particular late night ride when he meets him, a man who stole his breath away. The most beautiful man he’s ever seen. The man who would change his life.
Alec Pierce is twenty nine years old and works as an assistant District Attorney for the Dallas area. Alec has also always known he was gay. He grew up privileged but without love. He was an embarrassment to his family. His father has always had high political motivations and now Alec’s sexual preferences can be a positive addition to his career. So his father has planned out Alec’s career to give more weight to his own motivations. Alec sees this as acceptance from his dad, a way to be accepted as part of the family. But on that night, when a tatted up man wearing leather came upon his broken down car on a deserted road, he saw another future for himself.
The District Attorney has it in for Havoc. Even though Alec isn’t involved, there is no way that any contact between he and one of the club members would be viewed favorably at work. And for Key, if he started anything with Alec, and his club members found out, it would be the end of him. They both try to do the right thing, but the choice is not in their hands. They just can’t stay away from each other. Which surprises them both because they couldn’t be more different. Or are they really?

I loved this book. I love BOTH of these men! They both had been hurt by the people that were supposed to love them the most. I loved how they affected each other, providing something neither of them had ever experienced before. Just that peace, that sense of belonging. I just had a feeling I was going to love this book and I definitely did. I’m immediately going on to the next and final book, Order. I have to see what’s next for these guys!

When I read the blurb for this one, I knew I had to read it. A sexy District Attorney and a badass Motorcycle Club member...count me in !! I have read plenty of other work by these authors and so far I have really enjoyed them. So I figured I was in for a very good time.
And I was...but when I signed up for this one I had no idea that there would be a second book about this couple, so I was pretty upset when I got to the end !! It actually took me quite some time to get into this one. Reason for this is the fact that I didn't actually like anyone in this book besides the two MC's. The side-characters so far are horrible and as far as best friends go...these two have the worst !!
When Alec and Key meet, it's "sparks at first sight". Being from very different worlds, they try to fight their attraction for one another. Key especially is fighting all that he is feeling for Alec...be it lust and later on...more. What is the point of falling when they can't really be together ...at least not in public where they can be seen?
This book was starting to depress me a bit, to be honest. It didn't have a whole lot of positivity to it. Somehow along the way, I got invested in their relationship though and I really wanted to smack their heads together and show them what was really important. At least Alec had a bit of a revelation. So imagine my surprise when I got to the end and....nothing... There were also some time jumps in the story, but it didn't feel like the MC's got to know each other any better in that time.
This book doesn't end on a big cliffhanger, but it doesn't end on a HEA or even a HFN, that's for sure...
The steam very nice, but I wanted to feel their connection a bit more and I am sad to say that I didn't. Well, maybe I did a bit, but then I reached the end.
As I said, I really am invested in Alec and Key and I want to know what's gonna happen next for the two of them...but I guess I will have to be patient and wait for book 2 (not a quality I possess).
I am going with 3,5 stars, rounded down, which may change when I've read the second book.

I actually liked this one more than I thought I would. Maybe because I already knew it was going to be more of a cliffhanger ending/HFN ending.
I honestly didn't care for the last KA book I read so that had me a little hesitant as well.
My biggest issue here is not a lot happened and we're left waiting for a second book for things to happen.
While I appreciated the slow build - it took a good 50% or more of the book for them to "get together". And I use that term loosely. Then the remainder of the book they time jump through their "relationship" only for the book to just end.
This wasn't a short book - just under 5,000 locations. And nothing really happened. It's established that they have to keep anything between them a complete secret. The first half of the book we get some of the why's of that. But no resolution.
Some of the dialogue was cheesy, as is to be expected. And there was quite a bit of political speak - not a fan.
I'm curious enough to want to see what actually happens - but that's assuming I don't have to wait too long for book 2.

P.S. WHY THE HELL DOES THIS BOOK ALREADY HAVE A ONE-STAR RATING?!!? I highly HIGHLY doubt that the douchebag who gave this book 1 star received an ARC - because NUH-UH, SO I ASK AGAIN, why THE FUCK would someone do this?!!? I am five-starring this book to counteract the fucktard who rated this 1-star prior to its release, and once again, I don't believe this person has an ARC, I believe this is simply a douchebaggy and malicious move!!!
I'll remove my rating once the proper ratings start flooding in and this book gets the rating it DESERVES!! Though to be frank, I know that once I (eventually) read this book (I say eventually because I know I'll horde and save this book for a long time before cracking it open, since I KNOW I'll absolutely ADORE this book), I am absolutely positive all my stars will be right back up there where they belong :-D!!!!

It's my first time reading anything by Kindle Alexander and I really liked it. The characters are well developed and likable, the story is engaging and funny. I liked both MCs and there very many moments and memories brought up to light that made me really feel for them. I love it when an author makes me root for the characters and their happiness, and Ms Alexander definitely succeeded in that.
Even though it is pointed out that Keyes belongs to a motorcycle club and Alec works for DA's office this book mostly centers on their relationship, their differences and issues, and how they try to overcome them and see if hey can be together. I liked Alec because he is unpretentious and laid back even though he comes from wealth, I loved his compassion and work ethics. Keyes was such a relatable character, through all his actions I could see how loyal and dedicated he was, how he could not stop falling for Alec despite all that was separating them. Both men are trapped by status and family obligations but when their paths cross they see that they deserve more than just scraps that life gives them.
I loved the times they spent together - there were hot and steamy as well as regular mundane things that make two people a couple. Everything about them was intense and sweet at the same time. One thing that was unexpected was that the blurb said no cliffhanger ending but it does end on cliffhanger. The next book in the series will be a continuation for this couple. It actually ended rather abruptly and I was gobsmacked. Well the ending was beautiful and very intimate but sudden. I wish I knew that before hand. But I am patient and will gladly wait for the second book to find out how all the problems these two guys are going to have will be solved. I recommend it! It is a very good read!

Motorcycle clubs are not one of my favorite subjects, but this one was fairly mild, and it was a good group of guys...well except for Keye's father. Luckly, he didn't have much time in the story except at the very first. Alec is an upcoming DA whose father has high aspirations for him to become a judge. He doesn't want any part of it. Why it just didn't tell his father to get lost was beyond me. This is only the first book in the series so maybe he will grow a backbone in the next book. Keyes is a biker. Together they are pretty explosive. I really liked Keyes. I liked him as a person and his attitude toward life in general. Their chemistry is explosive creating enough sparks to burn down the entire town. They each thought they were too different, but actually they aren't all that different except in their bank accounts. They do start to communicate more by the half-way point of the story. It took me a little while to get into this book...even though I was I was more than invested in Alec and Keyes story. Alec's friend can use some work...but maybe he'll drop him by the second book. We can only hope. The story is told from a duel POV, which is easy to read. I like getting into both characters heads. I really hope book 2 has more of the answers to Alec and Keys relationship and what Alec intends to do about a position that he never wanted. I believe there is 3 or 4 ore books in the series and I am anxiously waiting for the climax. Glad I picked it up. As I said it's not something I would normally read.

I love Kindle Alexander’s books and have read just about every one of them, but this story really threw me for a loop. There was nothing of significance that had happened by the end of the book in which I could say, “Oh yeah, this definitely needs a second book.”
Okay, just hear me out a second because I know everyone’s thinking “well, of course it does.”
Havoc had the makings of a great story—the editing was fabulous, the attraction and steam factor was smokin’, and c’mon, the character development was ... uh, really developed. Unfortunately, right there lies the problem. This ENTIRE book is spent on the character development of Alec and Keyes, so much so that if the storyline continues at this pace, I highly doubt a second book could cover the remainder of their saga, meaning that a third would be needed.
Okay, just hear me out a second because I know everyone’s thinking “well, of course it does.”
Havoc had the makings of a great story—the editing was fabulous, the attraction and steam factor was smokin’, and c’mon, the character development was ... uh, really developed. Unfortunately, right there lies the problem. So, how will the DA's harassment unfold on Havoc and what will Alec think? These guys are from different worlds, but oh, so compatible with each other. Neither one would be accepted in the other's life.
Fascinating characters, an interesting tale with tension, and scorching sex scenes. And later, one first time for Key.
* This is first and foremost a romance, not a biker story. We see the differences and how well they fit, like interlocking puzzle pieces. How will they make it work out?
We will find out in the second of this book duet, "Order." I can't wait !

Everything was in order for Alec and Key’s happily ever after, so most of the time I was bored, because I could easily imagine how they would overcome their obstacles and be together in the end. Instead of bad guys and perilous challenges in their way, it was more like jerks and inconveniences, which could be entertaining too, but not enough to make me want to rip through the pages to find out what happens next.
As for Havoc, it didn’t feel like havoc at all. Everything was in order for Alec and Key’s happily ever after, so most of the time I was bored, because I could easily imagine how they would overcome their obstacles and be together in the end. How to start this review...... I have no idea because I don't want to give anything away because this is a MUST MUST read by all! I love Kindle's writing because she draws you into this world where you are there and you can feel every happiness, sadness, doubt, fear. and trust. Havoc has it all, it is such an AMAZING push and pull story that will have you cheering on Keyes and Alec.
Alec is a rich man and has a great job but he does not have the one thing he craves for and that is love. Keyes lives for his club and his ailing father. His brothers accept the fact that he is gay but his father is a douche and harrasses him everytime he can.
Then Keyes meets Alec on a dark road that is not safe to be on alone and helps him out. From there that is where the story takes off and when I say takes off you will be at the edge of your seat reading so fast saying oh my God and no way that can't happen and why oh why won't you let him in.
Okay enough for now before I give away the whole book so HAPPY READING oh yeah one more thing you will need a very TALL glass of ice when these two get together...... just saying.....

Havoc was a super well written MM story about how two people who are as different as they come can actually be just what each other need. Keyes Dixon is in an MC and manages a tire shop connected with his family and the club. Alec Pierce is an assistant district attorney from a wealthy and powerful family. Keyes stumbles upon Alec when he gets flat tires and assists him...in more ways than one. Their chemistry is out of this world and the passion they share between the sheets was fire.
A forbidden love that neither want to give up but will face trials to come. Two souls that have been burned in the past by people who should have been there for them always. Will their love prevail? Havoc ends on a semi-cliffhanger but the plot was engaging and entertaining. I loved Keyes and Alec and can't wait to see where their story goes. The acceptance and peace they offered each other was so heartwarming and you can't help but root for them. I love when I find MM reads with two alpha males that just complete each other.

A forbidden love that neither want to give up but will face trials to come. Two souls that have been burned in the past by people who should have been there for them always. Will their love prevail? Havoc ends on a semi-cliffhanger but the plot was engaging and entertaining. I loved Keyes and Alec and can't wait to see where their story goes. The acceptance and peace they offered each other was so heartwarming and you can't help but root for them. I love when I find MM reads with two alpha males that just complete each other.

Eso hace que la historia sea muy larga y puede resultar fastidiosa. Por ahora, este libro es un romance dulce - erótico, sin mayores complicaciones ni dramas, pero donde esperas que en cada capítulo pase algo y sean descubiertos.
Las escenas eróticas son sencillas, pero muyyyyyy largasssss, creo que por lo menos 60% del libro son escenas eróticas. Hay poco desarrollo de los personajes, y los diálogos son básicamente entre ellos. Casi no sabemos que esta pasando fuera de su burbuja. Por ejemplo, ¿Por que los federales y la Fiscal de Distrito esta persiguiendo al Club? ¿Cómo ha logrado Alec evitar las trama en que lo quiere envolver su padre? ¿Qué pasó con el padre de Keyes? ¿y el Club? Hay tantas cosas mas interesantes que solo ellos dos, que pudieron ser mejor manejadas para ambientarnos mejor en el universo.
Sin embargo, es una buena lectura del género, y voy a leer el próximo libro para saber que va a pasar con la pareja. Esperemos que tengan un verdadero final feliz.

Havoc is the story of Keyes & Alec, an unlikely pair, unable to stay away from each other.
Alec Pierce, 29, attorney at law at the Dallas District Attorney office, graduated summa cum laude from Harvard Law with a trust fund he couldn’t spend in ten lifetimes.
Keyes Dixon, 27, a club biker. The kid of a biker. The club had been his whole life for as long as he could remember. He was a mechanic.
When Keyes meets Alec he is affected with the sight of Alec Holy shit. He’d thought that car was a sweet ride, but fuck, the man driving it—now, that was a sweet piece of ass.
Not only did his dick stand at attention but the damn thing attempted to parade down Main Street waving a rainbow-colored flag.
The screen illuminated Alec’s face, and even though Keyes wasn’t religious, he swore he heard the angels sing in that moment… The sight stole Keyes’s breath.
The attraction between them is instantaneous but, despite Alec's attempts to entice Keyes into a date with him, Keyes does not budge God, he’s gorgeous, but he’s so out of my league.
When Keyes caves and heads over to Alec, their encounter is explosive making fireworks exploded in vivid color behind his eyes.
Moving forward, the men heed cautiously, because with the biker gang being hit hard by the DA's office and Alec being a lawyer at the DA's office, they need to keep their relationship hidden, but how long will they both be satisfied with their secret affair.
Progressing into their relationship they are both afraid to acknowledge what is happening between them, not even to themselves. But with the growing feelings and possessive jealously towards hypothetical other lovers, they gradually spend more and more time together.
The story ends with a HFN but I'm very much looking forward to book 2, the solution of their unfinished story and their HEA.

There’re so many expectations that come with a new Kindle Alexander release, so I walked into this new one with quite a bit of trepidation.
First of all, I LOVED the blurb. It ticked so many boxes for me and I love seeing the softer side of a gloriously gruff alpha male and a properly buttoned-up guy in desperate need of his feathers ruffling. There’s so much happening here with a lot of supporting characters, so the book requires, hell, demands your full attention and what you’re rewarded with is something special. This really is journey for both these men and any bit of happiness really is hard fought. Each guy is a total surprise for the other; something they weren’t expecting given their situations, which even though they seem poles apart, are very, very similar. I’m not going to spoil your read and give anything away, but just trust that you need to buckle in for this ride as it’s heartbreakingly real, very tense and also utterly beautiful. It shows that in life you can suffer tragedy, tough times and just mosey along in the monotony with zero expectations, doing what’s expected of you and then something wonderful can come along, out of the blue, when you least expect it and blow you away. The good thing is; we’re only scratching the surface here as there’s a lot more to come from Keyes and Alec in the next instalment.

Absolutely nothing happens in this book.
The beginning is actually amazing and the characters are well developed and interesting, but there's pretty much no plot. The only thing of importance that happens takes place in the first chapter and, instead of trying to develop it, Alexander totally sidelines that plot point in favor of writing sex scenes. I'm sure this will all be resolved in the next installment, but nothing happens in this one aside from Alec and Key having sex.

Let me tell you this. If I didn’t wait for book two to be released before I started this, I would be one very upset person right now. But luckily I waited. So I’m just merrely moving on to the next part.
I don’t really know why I waited so long to read another Kindle Alexander, because dammit, I like their writing style! I love the emotional side of it. It’s seems so much MORE than just a story.
Needless to say, Keyes and Alec are most definitely on my Favorited Couples list.
I love this thing between them. The pull they can't explain and it's all so damn sad and exciting at the same time! I'm really enjoying getting to know them and how their minds work.

I went into this one not knowing it was going to have a second part. Having said that I spent most of this book enjoying the slow burn and opening up between these two men, but also wondering when something exciting was going to happen. Knowing now that there's a part 2 appeases the part of me that would have otherwise called this a little boring.
Both MC are intriguing in how they think and act and evolve over the course of 6ish months that this book spans, however their "best friends" are awful. There was also very few dealings with the actual motorcycle club, which was disappointing, so I'm expecting fireworks to come from that direction in part 2.

5 Swoon Worthy Stars that will leave you breathless!
I am huge fan of Kindle Alexander and when she releases a book I drop everything to devour her book. Yes, you do not read her books they need to be devoured and savored!
Kindle had me at the blurb. I knew this would be a story that would be a breath taking ride that I will remember for a long time. Boy was a right about the ride it was incredible, brilliant, and breathtaking. I enjoyed and loved every minute.
WOW is the first thought that comes to mind when you finish this book. Kindle Alexander has created another masterpiece. This story is everything that makes a Kindle Alexander book hard to put down. Her sexy, swoon worthy men make you fall in love all over again and your heart beat faster. Keyes ,a full patch member of the Disciples of Havoc Motorcycle Club and Alec, a cocky Assistant District Attorney definitely will make your toes curl, take your breath away, and leave you wanting more.
The title is perfect because this book truly will play Havoc with you heart!
The characters are incredible and the story-line is unforgettable. How could not fall head over heels in love with these two sexy men that are fighting for the love that has consumed them even though they live in two different worlds that should not collide. My favorite part of this book is the unconditional love and support they have for each other. This is truly an amazing book that captures your heart and soul. This is a must read!

I’m trying to give this one the benefit of the doubt because it’s book one but it was pretty boring and I don’t have much desire to read the second book. Despite being called Havoc and being about a tough MC club there was absolutely no havoc here. The first chapter had the most action and it was looking promising but it became very bland, the relationship progressed over several time jumps and it was really just sex scenes and feelings until it ended suddenly post another sex scene. There was so much good stuff promised here in the early chapters; MC club action, secret risky relationship, a dodgy federal raid, illegal drug runs, family drama on both sides, Alec’s job, dodgy attorney stuff…but then none of it happened?! Not sure whether to pursue book 2 or not.

This just wasn't that good, which is sad because I loved the premise. Biker + Attorney? Yes please. If only there was better writing and character development, I had no connection to anything in this story. The writing wasn't bad exactly, but it just felt flat and uninteresting.

You know that saying “hurry up and wait”? Well that perfectly epitomizes what I’m feeling now that I’ve finished Havoc and I have to sit here, not so patiently, until book 2 comes out! I’m not saying that like it’s a bad thing, it’s just I want the rest of Alec and Keyes’s story, right now!
Kindle Alexander did a terrific job developing these 2 characters, and the story itself, and I’m excited, and more than a bit anxious, to see where they take us next. I really enjoyed the way they built Alec and Key’s relationship, and how we got to see each of them from the other’s point of view. They are such complete and total opposites on the outside, but deep down they aren’t so different. I desperately want things to work out for these 2, but right now it’s really hard to see how that will happen!
The foundation KA laid in this book leads me to believe we’re in for quite a showdown in book 2. Although Havoc didn’t end with your typical “OMG what the heck just happened” jaw-dropping cliffhanger, we are left with a whole lot of “what the heck’s going to happen next”. Because you just know something big is coming.

I love a good mix of bad boy/good boy vibe and you can easily get that when you combine a motorcycle club and an up and coming lawyer.
I appreciated that despite their backgrounds and families disapproving both characters are out, which is refreshing in a world of one pt of a couple nearly always being closeted.
I expected more of a cliffhanger at the end of this book so that was a let down. It's a duet but you could easily just read this one and not need to go any further. Seems a waste of page space. A good cliff hanger would have excitedly propelled the reader into book two. Instead it leaves me pushing book two to the bottom of my list for now. What's the rush?

This is, by far, my FAVORITE book from Kindle Alexander. The story line is epic! The chemistry is off the charts! The characters are 100% swoon worthy! This is part ONE of TWO in an opposites attract story line and I cannot wait for the second book. Tattoos & Ties is an absolute 5 STAR read. HAPPY READING! <3
