The holidays are here, and I’m up to my eyeballs in Christmas spirit—or should I say “spirits”. Life is like that now that I’m a grim reaper. My holidays gets an extra helping of festive weirdness when the Casanova of mall Santas kicks the bucket. Instead of crossing over, he sets out to spread his own special brand of Christmas magic to a number of single ladies in town. I’ll admit, as a widow I’m hesitant to stop him from gifting his Christmas miracle, but as a reaper, it’s my job to pack his yule log and jingle bells off to the netherworld. After all, everybody knows Santa is only supposed to come once a year.
Boone Brux is at it again! Another awesome Grim Reality story. Lisa Carron (the book's main character) has no idea what she's in for, but that's nothing unusual except this is Santa. I can't get enough!!
In this latest installment in the Reaper series, Carron is sent to reap a mall Santa. Things don't go quite as planned leading Carron and Nick to search around town for their missing jolly fat man and creating some laugh out loud moments. This one is sure to cheer up your holidays and to make you wonder about the after hours adventures of the next mall Santa you encounter. Even if you're not a follower of the GRS series, you'll want to read this bit of Christmas cheer.
A good read but definitely not in the same league as the full novels. Mind you it was good to see how her relationship with Mate has developed. She is the reaper of 'stupid' deaths at why were she and Nate at the Mall. Apparently Santa was going to die by Jingle Bells. However he doesn't want to cross over and does a runner but not before he tells them about his little black book and how he just going to spread Christmas Spirit to some names in it. Watch as they struggle to find him and the antics he eats up too to stop getting caught. Will it go smoothly. Well a work suspension of two weeks is on her dance card (although with Christmas just around the corner she's not too upset about that). Will the elusive Santa be caught and by whom?

Lisa has found her place in life. Unfortunately it is reaper those who died under stupid circumstances. After the mall Santa dies, Lisa works to find him. Visiting his lovers one last time leads to a merry chase and insightful experiences regarding what makes someone appealing. Fun read in the series.
A very cute and funny short story. At 63 pages, this is about a 30 minute read. Perfect for my lunch break. A little reaping just in time for Christmas! I can't wait for the next full book to come out in March.
I absolutely love this series!!! Lisa is funny and she sort of wings being a Reaper, but she is so loveable! This novella had me laughing out loud!! I hope to read more about Lisa and her job!!!
Nice short story but there really has been too much gaps between the books in this series. It was nice to jump back into the series but felt I didn’t know the characters anymore. Story itself was short and cute.
Lisa has a difficult time nudging her family (dead and alive members) into behaving themselves in the festival season. This is a lively and enjoyable episode of the series!
Having read the first two books I decided to read this Novella and it was totally Captivating from start to finish. Thoroughly recommend Boone to any reader ,witty, and sassy Characters and the description of Hal ee least is awesome
What a delightful Christmas story! Lisa’s adventures as a reaper always bring a smile to my face. It was nice to see her relationship with Nate advance a little more.
Just in time for the holidays. Lisa, my favorite grim reaper, is sent to collect a mall Santa Clause. Since it’s Lisa, nothing goes right the first time. Had me giggling the whole way through.
What do you do when you are in the middle of Christmas preparations and your job gets in the way . When the Casanova Santa from the mall decides to kick the bucket . Lisa and Nate are put to the test trying to reap his soul. Between trying to get Christmas ready and reaping Santa's butt is really getting to them . They need to have some Christmas joy and a merry Christmas . Lisa and Nate are back . I must say I have actually missed these characters . Lisa is still as sassy and crass as ever . She is really getting into the reaping business and parenting . Nate is still sweet and well lets just say he is still hot . Then we meet Fred the randy dandy mall Santa that they have to reap. He is a laugh riot, and just wants to keep up his Christmas joy giving . The ladies of Alaska are in for a shock a good one but still a shock . These characters will have you in stitches from laughing so hard . I needed a great laugh this holiday season so I sat down and started reading this novella with a glass of wine . I have never laughed so hard in my life , between Christmas and reaping poor Lisa did have her hands full . The story is a great addition to the GRIM REALITY series and shows a fun side of the two main characters . I recommend this book for those who need a great laugh during the holidays . It is a fun fast read that will give you a taste of the series . You don't have to read the other books to understand what is going on in this story . So if you want a fun read for those stolen holiday moments check it out .
Dead Jolly is a super short read full of holiday reaper madness. Once again, Carron is sent to reap someone who dies a stupid death, but this time it’s the jolly old fat man himself, Santa. Or should I say Fred, who plays a local Santa and likes the ladies.
Santa Fred is none to keen on being reaped. He’s convinced he has unfinished business and believes his little black book has the answers. Santa Fred has been making visits to quite a few of the local single grandmothers in town, spread his holiday…cheer.
As with each book in this series, it’s pretty funny. This author has an amazing sense of humor that really shines in her storytelling. I have yet to find a book in this series I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. The only vaguely negative thing I can say is that it’s too short, but that’s just me being selfish. Every book in this series makes me want to keep reading even after the story has ended.
This was a highly enjoyable read and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quick escape from the stress of the holidays. Even if you haven’t read the other books, I don’t think you would be too lost if you read this one first.
