Mr. Snake is dead and the the good guys club and international league of heroes are mourning his loss. Dr. Marmalade is further invading the Earth. Instead of two different groups, they form one group called Shadow Squad G. They fight and when they are almost defeated, Luke Skywalker from Star Wars, the Jedi returns? No, it's not Luke Skywalker, it is my favorite - Mr. Snake and he has absorbed all the superpowers and is pretty powerful now.

Mr. Snake gives all the other aliens a chance to free themselves off Marmalade and they agree to take Marmalade the bully to a galaxy far far away. It is the end or is it? Mr. Piranha and Mr. Shark discuss how Mr. Snake is so powerful now and what could go wrong?

It wasn't as funny as some of the other books in the series. Illustrations were pretty amazing but the story wasn't great. I did like the return of Mr. Snake and his style of return of course. It will be interesting to see how Mr. Snake takes his powers in the next one though.

Another silly adventure!

The Bad Guys in the Baddest Day Ever by Aaron Blanket is book #10 in the series. I love this middle school kids books! They seem to always have something only an adult would get, like in this one Legs the spider was calling for help saying "Help me, help me Rhonda!"
I really liked this one because they start out sad because they are having a funeral for Mr Snake when the aliens come. So does the girl heroes. It ends very clever and funny! (As usual!) Fun read regardless of age!

The Bad Guys series is such a big hit with my boys who are 8 and 10 years old. Episode 10 did not disappoint. We usually read the books together, so I love hearing them laugh throughout the book as Wolf and his buddies get themselves into trouble and then save the day. Piranha and Snake are quickly becoming favourite characters! Love this series!

Six word summary: Joint animal forces save the day!

Loved: This series is so fun and silly. I will forever keep reading these! In this particular edition, I loved some of the subtle pop-culture references and the surprise ending for one of the characters.

Recommend for: Any MG audience and anyone looking for a cute, quick GN pick!

Reminds me of: The humor of the Lunch Lady series mets the rag-tag team troupe with animals.

First sentence: That’s lovely.

Premise/plot: Question: Should readers be able to pick up any book in a series and make at least some sense of it. Should they be able to grasp at who the main characters are, how they relate to each other, and what the general plot of this specific book is?! This book is the tenth in the series. I couldn’t tell you anything about the characters—though my guess is that it is a team of somethings (could not for the life of me tell you what animal/creature any is supposed to be). Nor could I tell you anything about the plot with the exception that a character named Snake is dead and then not dead?!

My thoughts: Answer: I think good writers make an effort with each series book to help readers out. Even a little effort is a good thing. Because the truth is readers don’t always read books in a series in order. Even if they’ve read book one in a series, they may pick up book seven or eight next. It might be a case of what books are on the library shelf—either school or public. The more popular a series, the greater the chance that the books won’t be able to be checked out in order. Even if readers have read most if not all the books in the series, time might have elapsed between books. If it has been months even a year since reading the last book, readers can start a series a bit fuzzy with only a vague recall of what happened last. Recaps can be woven into many books seamlessly or near so.

This one will appeal to fans of the series who have read the previous books and who enjoy the graphic novel style. It will appeal to some readers no doubt about it.

As an introduction to the series I wouldn’t recommend starting with this one.

Oh my goodness. This series just continues its uphill swing. I would have never guessed. Here we have the members of the Good Guys Club and the International League of Heroes. Now we've merged together into Shadow Squad G (which I don't like the name of much), and finally gotten our introductions out of the way. Now we finally know the main protags first name. Feels good!

I'm so glad that Milton didn't get written out, but was even useful as a dumb raptor. It made me very happy when he was restored in the end. And the big parade for our heroes made me very happy as well. This could definitely be a good stopping point in the series, but with an end credits scene like that, how could I stop?

I have absolutely nothing to base this on since this is the first graphic novel I've ever read, but for adults it is a very easy read. The drawings are incredible and the story is easy to follow. It is the typical bad guy needs to be stopped by a group of good guys (and girls) so nothing new there. For younger children I can see it would be a tad overwhelming even though there is no direct violence so I would keep that in mind. There was enough to keep my interest but not enough to make me want to read more.

A very page-turning event or book. Because the bad guys and the International League of Heroes think that Mr. Snake is dead. But NO! He fell into a cannon and absorbed all of the Bad Guys Powers when Dr. Marmalade sucked them up or took them away. Then both Crime-fighting teams team up and from here forth will be called Shadow Squad G ( The G stands for good).and will be seen again in the eleventh Bad Guys book in the series.

Number 10 is here! I really enjoy this series of "bad guys" trying to do good and save the world. This is a great funny series for kids to read. Whenever I get the chance to, I always recommend this series. Loved that ending, can't wait for the next one.

SNAKE IS ALIVE WOOOOO
ALEXA PLAY REVIVED BY DERIVAKAT (actually this song is very accurate to the situation I personally find)
I love the inclusion of the girls to make the new squad- I will however remember zero of the actual names of any of the characters because they’re just introducing them in episode 10 so their names for me are just wolf, snake, shark, etc.
Anyway I very much so enjoy this series and I’m glad my new comfort character is alive <3

I loved the first couple of these books and I LOVE Aaron Blabey but when I jumped to this book I was quite lost with the new characters and what happened to Snake so I didn't get into it as I usually do. Luckily the ending was great with a great moral and made me still love the series and author.

Snake is dead, and the Bad Guys, as well as the League of Heroes, are gathered for the funeral. Faced with the evil Prince Marmalade, who is determined to take over the universe, the two groups decide to band together, becoming the much cooler named Shadow Squad G. They need to find a way to defeat their conqueror, even though the don't have super powers! Luckily, Legs is stowed away on board Marmalade's ship, as is Rhonda, and the two proceed to voosh! scuttle! and b-donk! the alien before summoning help from their two groups, who in turn have a velociraptor to help them! They also have a space shuttle, Mr. Pirahna's father and his crew, and a secret weapon that is a surprise even to the bad Guys. Will it be enough to save Earth for imminent destruction?

In true Bad Guys' fashion, this mission is fraught with threats, rife with teamwork, and punctuated by bopping alien booty! There are even some inklings of romance as the heroes from different teams get to know each other in between running for their lives. The black and white illustrations alone are enough to inspire giggles, and the goofy aliens, fleets of pirahnas, and sharks in tutus don't make the tone any more serious!

Had this to insatiable readers of Eaton's Flying Beaver Brothers, Winnick's Hilo, Benton's CatWad, Barnett's Spy Kid, and other goofy tales of brave creatures facing overwhelming (and often hysterically funny) odds.

Personally, I preferred the series when the characters were not fighting aliens. The first book is absolutely hysterical, but I have not found the last seven or so to be quite as enjoyable. I'm also not 6-12 years old, and I can't deny the appeal to the target demographic, which is impressively large.

{My thoughts} – This book begins with The Bad Guys all discussing the death of Mr. Snake. If you can recall from the last book that he’d fallen off the space ship and they didn’t know what happened to him after that, so they were left to assume he’d died.

The Bad Guys and the Bad Girls take the time to discuss how they are in need of a name change. So they come up with The Shadow Squad G. Once they have a name they go with it because it is different and it helps to include both the Bad Guys and the Bad Girls in a whole new group. It’s nice to see that no one is being left out. I actually like the new name.

I look forward to seeing what is going to take place in the next book as I have enjoyed this series from the beginning. It is fun to read, interesting and well all around just good in so many ways. I like that it is funny and engaging for children.

I recommend this series for any child that enjoys graphic novels and a good laugh!

With Mr. Snake gone and their superpowers taken away, the Good Guys Club and International League of Heroes are at a loss on what to do. Dr. Marmalade’s takeover of Earth seems to be assured, and there are fewer options than ever. Still, they have to try and save Earth. With the two teams finally becoming one, they might just have the strength, courage, and ideas to save the Earth. Can they do it? Or are they doomed to serve Dr. Marmalade forever?

This was a good addition to the series, and I enjoyed how much we get to learn about the teams. We finally learn everybody’s names, and I love how cohesive they work together. The ending was surprising, as everything seems wrapped up nicely, but there are still more books in the series. I’m interested to see where this goes from here. But up to this point, it’s a great series. If you enjoyed the other books, definitely pick up this one. It at least wraps up the story arc started in book one, and it’s great.

I enjoyed this more than the previous few books in the series. It provides an ending of sorts to the story arc of the series thus far, though the series continues with additional twists and turns. I liked the bonds that formed between the International League of Heroes and the Good Guys Club, and I especially liked the way the alien war with Earth was defused by challenging prejudice and the idea that people should pay for the sins of their countrymen. Also Nathan's story was quite entertaining. Still not my favorite series, but I don't mind finishing it out with my 8-year-old, who continues to be enthusiastic about reading it with me.

While most heroes look fierce, this gang does not. In order to defeat the evil Marmalade the Conqueror, two teams of superheros must team up to take him down. The new group fights to take down Marmalade!

This book would not be my first choice if I were choosing a book to read but can see how it would be appealing for young boys. The book has good graphics and an exciting plot. This books would be a good book for free read. I can't really see this book being used any other way in the classroom.

Prince Marmalade has decided he's now ruler of Earth. Things sure aren't looking good for the Bad Guys and the International League of Heroes. It seems Marmalade can block or stop anything they throw at him. It seems hopeless, but is it?

Another great twist. Another moment for great character development in Mr. Wolf and others. And lots of great fun. This reads like it could be the conclusion to the series but there's foreshadowing of maybe another book at the end. Recommended to reluctant readers, superhero fans, humor fans, and graphic novel lovers.

I think this is a nice quick book. It's relaxing to read it because there's not much words on one page, and the story is simple and easy to understand. I haven't read the Bad Guys books before this one, but I still understands it and remembers the characters. I really like the part where the snake shows up and says, "Miss me?" when the aliens are attacking! And the snake is just like wave his tail and the aliens are gone! Therefor I highly recommend you to read this book because it's relaxing and it's very fun!
