But I must say, once I settled my mind down & started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down
Brody Tannen, Cowboy. Oldest of four. Mostly raised his youngest sister but did a shitty job of it so she raised herself to spite him.
Brody a no-filter, what-you-see-is-what-you-get guy.Too big, too gruff, too quiet. OH, we can’t forget how he loves to growl
Erica Cole. She is a Engines. Cars. Heavy rock music. Sarcasm. Biting quips. Beer. Use Wrenches as weapons kinda girl.
Oh and we cant forget how Rix as she prefer to be called can be somewhat of ball buster , & she isn’t not a fairy tale kind of gal…. oh & did I mention she tiny Lil thing with a bit bite
With that said Cowboy & Lil Bit should be two peas in the same pod, right?
What you going to do when there are two alpha’s in that pot?
You are just gonna love chemistry between Brody & Erica
I just love how both have such strong personalities with even stronger opinions

Oh Brody Brody Brody, you sexy brooding cowboy. I swoon for you. & Rix you feisty fire breathing dragon! The dynamic between these two is nothing but HOT, with a heroine and hero both thinking their the alpha, butting heads and fighting for control with explosive chemistry 💣🔥.
This book is just what you need, the sassy fierce heroine, the brooding sexy cowboy, it packs humor, sweetness, steaminess, angst, determination, vulnerability & so much more! The Tannen boys are back, and hot as ever. You won’t want to miss this one.

Rough Edge by Lauren Landish a five-star read that is rough in the best ways. Erica Cole my heart breaks for you for most of this story, she is so used to putting everyone else first, but that being said so is Brody Tannen so they could be perfect for each other, but we all know being to samey-samey isn’t always what you dream it to be. Throw in a crazy twist that becomes an integral part of the story and one I want to hear more about, and you have a winner. I will be honest, and this wasn’t my favourite read from this author, but I think its just me at the moment as I am having such a crazy time at present. I really was looking forward to hearing more about Brody so I will definitely be reading this again when I am in a better frame of mind. As I really enjoyed it, but I am just not in the place for my usual Tannen/Bennett boy love. Thank you Lauren Landish for brightening my otherwise dismal day, keep up the good work as I know we all need it.

Brody, my grumbly, broody cowboy how Erica has brought you to your knees! Rough Edge was a lovely, sexy as sin edition to my favorite western series. I personally am not big into cowboys but I gobble these up!
Brody Tannen is the perfect mix of broody, foul mouthed, country gentlemen with a ginormous chip on his shoulder. He’s so far stuck in his own lane of taking care of his family and working the land, even if it’s technically no longer “his”. Brody doesn’t even see what’s happening before his eyes when he meets the woman of his dreams in Erica “Rix” Cole. As soon as I read their first interaction I knew he was a goner, no matter how fiercely both characters try to deny exclusivity, you just sit there chucklin’ because YOU know his heart was hers instantly.
Erica is seriously a breath of fresh air in the romance world. Just as much of an alpha as any hero she does what she wants, when she wants. Peddle to the metal and I am here for it. Reading her stand her ground with the boys in her garage, to her secret hobby, to putting Brody is his place! She is everything! Rix is EXACTLY what he needed to coax him out of his tough shell by forcing him to break down her equally built walls. Brody is exactly what SHE needed to show her what really helps her feel like her she is complete. Exposing both of their mushy, cuddly hearts they keep locked away.
There is so much heat, passion and lust between these two but in the midst of it their story is truly a heart warming, gooey center of love, acceptance and family. Going with the flow of fate and grabbing life by the wheel. My heart sang for their happy ending. We get to hear from all of our favorite characters which is one of my favorite things about this world. I’m as satisfied with this story as I would be with a full belly of Mama Louise’s secret fried chicken and a glass of her sweet tea.

I always think that my favorite L.L. character is the last book she has written and then she writes another and I fall more in love with that one. She just writes these sexy broody cowboys and I can’t get enough.
Brody Tannen is a grumpy broody cowboy who would rather grunt than speak. The oldest of the Tannens, he’s got memories that the others don’t. And it has locked his heart straight up. Walls so big nobody could climb. Until a dirty talking Erica “Rix” Cole comes into the picture.
When these two meet up the sparks fly!! And we get to see Brody fall. We see both their walls fall. And what a beautiful and heartwarming ride we get.
We get everything we love and more in this romance. I’ve loved all these characters and getting to revisit them is a added bonus. I can’t wait for Bobby’s story!!

You're the last thing my heart expected....
Brody Tannen is not known for being warm and cuddly. He is a hard working cowboy who loves working the land on the farm. He is crusty and a man of few words. But unbeknownst to everyone, he has a heart of gold. He is a big burly guy on the outside but on the inside he is wounded when all his hope and wants are dashed with the errors of his father. Brody does not have a social life and definitely has no time for a relationship. Besides, he is not a hearts and flowers type of guy. But all that changes when he claps his eyes on Erica Cole.
She is definitely no high maintenance princess. She is a grease monkey extraordinaire who works magic at her father's car repair garage. She is smart mouthed, brassy and a ball breaker. Brody fell for her no filter attitude right away. It was so much fun seeing these two square off with each other. They both wanted a "casual" hookup only connection, but they soon realized they had much more going for them. The odds were against them but I found myself routing for them that they would come to the realization that they were made for each other.

Brody is Broody. He has basically spent his entire life being a caretaker. First his dying mother. Then his family when his father fell apart after his wife's death. He has never put himself first. Now he is working for the Bennett's and even though his burden is lifted, he feels like less, because the farm is no longer his.
Erica is a bada$$ mechanic who is the opposite of her girly twin. She hates being marginalized because she's a female living in a "man's world". She's going to do what she wants and no one is going to tell her otherwise.
When Brody and Erica meet, it's lust at first sight for him. He has never met anyone like her! She is like a wild horse he has no desire to tame!
This is a story about acceptance, being brave enough to let someone see your vulnerable side and being strong enough to admit when you are wrong.
It's two hearts coming together slowly, at their own pace and not what others around them are pushing them to do.

Perfect
Seriously do you really think Lauren could write a bad book!?! In this one we finally get Broody Tannen's story, and let me say I fell in love! Broody is this tall, sexy and quiet cowboy who takes too much guilt and responsibility on his shoulders. He ends up meeting Rix( or Erica) and the woman confuses the hell out of him. We finally find out the confusion part and now we get to watch these two strong people push and pull in this crazy thing called a relationship. Erica I think is hands down my favorite female character so far in that she is independent, works on cars and former military Badass! I could not put this book down once I started!!!!

Brody knows what he wants in life. He’s always taken care of things and not it’s his turn and he’s going after the one thing he wants most, Erica. She’s alway been seen as one of the guys, but to Brody, she’s more than that. She’s tough as nails, snarky, sassy, a total spitfire and he wouldn’t want her any other way. All he has to do is break down the fortress she’s built around her heart and let him in. Brody is tall, dark and handsome, cocky as all get out and she doesn’t know how to handle him. He’s intense, demanding, sexy and knows she’s the one for him. Now if everyone would keep their opinions to themselves, they actually might have a chance at something bigger than they ever saw coming. Great read, I’m loving this series and can’t wait for what’s next. No spoilers, find out for yourself if they get their hearts desire. I received a copy of this book.

This is the next book in the tannens spinoff and wow it’s was entertaining and I couldn’t put it down. Brody tannen is a grunting, rough and dirty cowboy. But under his grit there’s so much more to him. Brody isn’t your common a**hole at all, he’s the one who takes care of his family and helps where he can. Rix is a foul mouth tiny spitfire that loves cars and engineering engines into amazing fast machines. She has a past that won’t seem to back off and has wall up for miles. When these two meet it’s like a shock to your system and the emotional roller caster that take you on will have you wanting so much more. I loved this book and can’t wait for Bobby now because you know it’s gonna be amazing.

Brody and Erica (Rix) are two head strong/ alpha characters. You would think their personalities would mash but instead those are what makes them so compatible.
Rix is a firecracker. Shes small but feisty and she knows how to keep Brody on his toes.
Brody is the definition of a mans man. Hes tough as nails but when it comes to his Erica he hands her the reigns to his horse and lets her lead.

I didn’t think Landish could top some of her other books but yet again she manages to prove me wrong... Brody has met his match in Rix and their story makes for one of Landish’s best books to date. We get a new look into the Brady Bunch family they have created and how family is what you make it. Rix makes this story and to be honest I couldn’t image anyone better for a man like Brody Tannen. She might be pint size but she has what it takes to not only stand up to but more importantly to stand with her man.

I love this series and Erica and Brody make the perfect couple, why you wonder they are so similar but different and you would think that would be boring but it’s not. Erica is called Rix which fits her personality perfectly and Brody is the sourpuss who barely talks to anyone so when they first meet its explosive and you know you have to keep reading.

Pulling into the garage he's hoping for help & not in the form of a little firecracker Erica.
I loved reading the Bennett boys but the Tannen boys don't disappoint at all.
I definitely recommend reading them all.

My favorite read this year. Lauren Landish has outdone herself with Brody Tannen. He is a gruff, brooding cowboy and has no time for love. He is happy his family, except his young brother Bobby, and the Bennett's have all found what they are looking for but his focus is on getting his family farm back. Funny how things do not always go as planned.
Rix, aka. Erica Cole is not your typical woman. She is a powerhouse stuffed into a 5 foot frame and can out work and think the average man. She may not have the same "equipment" as the men but she can hold her own when it comes to automobiles. She is accustomed to being underestimated and to also being passed over by the male species for her sister Emily. She doesn't know what to think when the gruff, broody cowboy strolls into her shop.
Get ready for a hot, dirty, ride. This is so much more than the blurb you have read. It is a deep, emotional book about finding the perfect person and not letting go. It's about appreciating the person you love even if what they do isn't what you understand or would choose for yourself. It's about family love and the lengths a person will go to protect and love their family. Oh and it is packed full of straight to the point hot "relations". Hot, I mean HOT. Brody is now my favorite Tannen/Bennett and that's saying something. I have loved them all but WOW! Definitely a 5 star book.

Dark, broody cowboy meet gnarly, pint-sized mechanic. His vehicle breaks down forcing him to take advantage of the closest automotive shop. He gets as far as the mechanic’s where he meets a mouthy, Erica referred to as ‘Rix’. He’s met his match in someone that curses as much as he does and that says a lot, considering he doesn’t speak much.
He goes to the Resort bar, for a beer and a burger and sees a transformed Rix wearing a barely there dress, looking utterly gorgeous except it’s her twin, Emily, a case of mistaken identity.
The Bennetts. Mark, Luke, and James, the three boys who were once enemies and are now ‘pseudo-brothers’, Mama Louise, their mother by birth and now theirs by forced adoption as adults—is determined to claim them—then there are The Tannens, Brody, Brutus, Bobby and their sister, Shayanne (Shayanne is married to Luke); watching his brother Brutal and Cooper play as Allyson watches on like only a mother can. Katelyn’s gone to sit on Mark’s lap, where she is half the time you lay eyes on them. And Sophie, James’s wife, has a full-sized goat in her lap. It’s not the family he thought he’d have, but it’s the one he’s thankful for having.
In the wake of their father’s death and catastrophic gambling debts, they were forced to sell their ranch to the Bennetts and came on as the hired help. He owed
money to some unforgiving people and we had to sell the farm to pay them off.
The Bennetts saved them by buying the farm and promising a chance to buy it back if they ever sell. They basically do what they always did, but Mark gets the profits and credit.

From behind the wall of the Barn Door Boys, I’m invisible because I hear a
woman’s voice say, “Well, where is she?”
Mark and Luke step apart like curtains opening for a great reveal, but it’s just
me. I swear a record scratches in the air as I get a glimpse of Brody’s family and they get a first look at me. There’s a blonde woman holding a big bowl of mashed potatoes, another blonde at the sink, and a brunette holding a baby with crazy pigtails. There’s also another edition of a blonde Barn Door Boy, a threesome then, and two more tall, dark, and handsomes who must be Brody’s brothers. Each and every one of them looks from me to a petite blonde woman standing by the stove with a spoon in her hand.
Rix at one point unleashes her fury on undeserving Brody, realising she must atone since he’s been nothing but supportive to her.

I’m loving these Tannen boys, just like the Bennett boys before them, they are a family of brash, slightly uncouth, yet very protective siblings, and Brody Tannen, the oldest of the bunch, is no exception. Too busy working to even think about looking for love, that is until fate, and a dying truck called Bessie land him at Cole Automotive in the care of Rix, a fiery, five foot nothing of a woman who pushes all Brody’s buttons. A brilliant, entertaining, funny and sexy story that had me addicted from the get-go. Small town romance, and a story that proves that opposites most definitely do attract, because you don’t get two more different people than Rix and Brody. The only thing they have in common is that neither of them have time for a relationship, this thing between them is just sex. Yeh right, let’s see how that works out for them. Wonderful writing and characters, and a firm favourite of mine in this series. I can’t wait to see where book 3, Bobby’s book, will take us. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

What he ends up stepping into is the orbit of Erica "Rix" Cole who wields a wrench with as much precision as her sharp tongue.
This was such a good read! We first meet the Tannen clan in an earlier series of books - The Bennett Boys Ranch. I would always suggest going back to the true beginning of anyone's story but you could read this as a standalone if you wanted. I love how Erica is such a strong character and so spunky. Both of them have walls erected and a passion for their life's work. Sparks weren't supposed to fly for these two...but they did. This is a voluntary review of an advance ready copy.

This is a long book but it is excellent! Loved Brody! Brody meets Erica when his truck breaks down. She is extremely mouthy and almost takes his head off with a wrench the first time he meets her at the garage his truck ends up at. I won't go into too much detail but this is definitely a good book! Totally recommend!

I’m loving these sexy AF Tannen men. Brody is a sexy AF cowboy that will definitely make you swoon. Once you start reading you will be hooked. Brody and Rix are absolutely perfect for each other and I loved every minute of their story.

Lauren Landish takes Brody, who we have met here and there throughout the series, and gives him a girl worthy of his own heart. He is deep, loving and finally talkative! Rix is his perfect match and I love how the book progressed and how they didn’t play around. Both of them are rough around the edges and get straight to the point. They mean what they say and say what they mean.

Great book by one of my favorite go to authors, Ms. Landish once again delivers on a hero I'm swooning over and a heroine I have a girl crush on! These two have instant chemistry, Brody and Rix just need to learn to navigate in a world with someone else that matters IN THAT WAY to them, which is something they are not used to. I think I love Rix more than any heroine I've read this year. Her crassness and abruptness just the hard shell protecting her vulnerabilities. She has them, she's not infallible and Brody sees that, and together they are amazing and I'm so glad I read this at a time I needed to jump into the small town environment this author created and just SLOW things down. It was the perfect escape!

Solid 4.5 stars. I didn't 5 star it just because, and I hate to say this, but it's just not that memorable. The story was good, the romance, the plot, the steam...but it wasn't "AMAZING" like 5 star books should be. With that being said, I adored this book.
In this story, we get to know the broody Brody and the feisty Erica, who goes by Rix to everyone...BUT Brody. These two were like oil and oil. Both alphas, both cursing, independent, love-shy loners who've lived lives dictated and dedicated to putting others first. Their first interaction was a unique and awesome meet-cute.
...She's shit for customer service. I'm shit at being a customer. Match made in heaven, we are....
Erica is used to her sister getting all the attention. She even tries to push Brody towards her, but when he shows he's interested in her and not her sister...swoon!
...To my shame and horror, my voice is quiet as a whisper. "What's my name?"
"Erica." He groans the one name no one has ever called me and then covers my mouth with his.
This is not a kiss. This is him shoving his tongue into my mouth to show me how he wants to fuck me.
Me! Not Emily....
This was a low-angst, sexy, adorably funny romance. I loved how Brody was obviously smitten from the get go despite him acting obtuse. I loved watching Erica come to terms with her feelings, owning them, and allowing Brody into her heart. I just love stories like this where the couple may have a big fight, but it's resolved quickly (like a day) and then it focuses on them solidifying their relationship.
And the humor? I seriously cracked up at some parts. Especially with Brody. Here we have a leader, alpha, grumpy man and watching him fall under Erica's spell was adorable. She's his Lil Bit and he's her grumpy Cowboy.
...Badass, fierce, racing, engine whispering, dick owning...goddess....
And the steam? I mean, reading mostly romance you'd think those scenes would get repetitive, but Lauren Landish has a way of weaving together amazing smut, sweetness, and sensual words.

Every time I read one of Mrs. Landish's books, I tell myself that this is my forever dream couple, only to be proven wrong, every . single . time ! !
This time I am two hundred percent certain that Erica, aka Rix, and Brody will be the eternal favorite dream couple, because there is no way to beat them!
Erica is a completely new dimension of sass and boldness and brashness and I love her character so, so much!
And Brody?
I love this growling, grumpy cowboy with all my heart, more than I can ever explain.
Both characters shine with their prickly and tough exterior. But on the inside they are great softies who care about their families and friends beyond anything else, putting aside their own wishes and dreams to achieve the happiness of their loved ones. It takes some peeling and prodding to look behind their layers and walls and reveal the gooey sweetness inside.
I love these two badass, kick-your-backside alphas, their banter and needling and their falling in love with each other.
This time I am two hundred percent certain that Erica, aka Rix, and Brody will be the eternal favorite dream couple, because there is no way to beat them!

1. This was my first Lauren Landish book and it was so good! I loved the build up and pacing of the relationship and the emotional growth Brody and Erica share. I don't mind insta-lust when it is done right with a solid romance to back it up.
2. I loved the romantic, low-angst plot with little drama that keeps the couple apart. This is my type of storytelling.
3. I loved the relationships between the Bennett and Tannen family. The family banter and antics were so cute and funny. Loved Shayanne.
4. I love a sexy cowboy and ranch life which we got it good doses througout the book.
5. I like a realistic HEA with pacing that makes sense. Not everyone should be married with babies in the HEA. I like that Brutal and Allyson were still planning their wedding.
