I loved when caleb stood up to Darius and called him out for tripping Tory up he’s going against his brother for if that doesn’t mean something your lying to your self

This book being my favorite in the series so far, a coincidence or written in the stars?
Zodiac Academy: The Reckoning is actually the first book this year that I'm giving 5 stars. I was thinking about rounding down to 4 stars, because this book is far from perfect, but Darcy + Orion have me in a chokehold and I love them so much. All the stars for them and only them. 💫

After the events at the end of ZA: Ruthless Fae , everyone is still in shocked, but as a Fae you have to move on. One week until The Reckoning, also known at Zodiac Academy as Hell's week. The seniors are making the lives for the Juniors even harder, because they need to prepare them for the Reckoning.
Tory, Darcy and their friends are trying to survive Hell's week and going through the trials for each of their elements.
This book included the heirs + Orions POVs again, as well as Tory and Darcy's POV.

↠ TORY & DARCY VEGA.
We finally find out in this book what their Order is and I'm so happy about it!! Lemme just say that their Order ist fucking BADASS. The twins are already pretty badass, cause they hold all four elements, but I love love love their Order so much. From all mythicial creatures that one is by far my favorite.
I'm still liking both Tory and Darcy. Tory has more individual badass moments, but Darcy has the better romance imo lol.
↠ PROFESSOR LANCE ORION. This guy is so fucking dramatic and I love every second of it. Watch me open my own fanclub for him. I would be the Geraldine and bringing him food & drinks. It would be an honor to be his blood bag. Everything for you sir.
How he keeps being the biggest asshole to everyone (Tory included), his pep talk in his class–legendary stuff–but he is soft, jealous and possessive when it comes to Darcy. We love that. 💅
Okay ngl Orion had one jealous "WTF" moment in this book, when I was screaming at my screen what the hell he was thinking about??? But seriously I love this guy so much and sometime he is just such an asshole and dumbass that I'm looking the other way. Orion could go and kill every single character and I'd be like "my husband has a very valid reason for all the slaughtering".
Pleasesseeeee DKFKSLFJFLDSFLS, can he get even more annoying? 😭🤚

My ride or die. These two are my favorite couple of this series no competition. A lot of people prefer Darius, because he has this intense bad boy aura, but it's always going to be Orion and Darcy for me. He cares so much for her and this book was peak Orion and Darcy moments. Every single scene was gold. Orion and Darcy the reason why I'm lowkey obsessed with this series. They are relationship goals and you can't change my mind. 😌
The reason behind Darcy's blue hair and every time Orion calls her 'Blue' it's hitting me right in the feels and then he goes and says this. 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
I have so many highlights of them and it's so hard to chose quotes so I'm always inserting random ones.
That whole car sex scene is hot. 🥵
And one last text message between them, bc they are so cute. 😭
I want what they have! Orion and Darcy call me single on every level possible and I don't know if I should be sad or happy about that. 😭
↠ TORY & DARIUS.
I thought I have read slowburn before, but Tory and Darius give slowburn another meaning, cause we are already 3 books in a.k.a. almost 1700 pages into the series and these two haven't even had their first kiss yet. I'm starting to get annoyed at all the Tory & Caleb sex scenes, cause I really don't see a point in them. They are fuck 'buddies' (and I use that term losely, cause they are not really buddies) and everything is clearly hinting at Tory and Darius being endgame and I want to see more scenes of Tory & Darius together instead we get tons of Tory and Caleb having sex all over the academy. But at least the few scenes between Tory and Darius were good. I really love the scenes where she was going home with Darius and was bonding with his brother Xavier and then when they were racing with their motorbikes or when Darius took care of Tory when she was drunk and her magic was out of controll. Reading those scenes I'm always like "omg look how good you two could have been if you should only get your shit together" The motorbike racing scene was the first scene where I started to truly like them, cause they have the chemistry, but the push and pull is ehhh not my jam. Darius and Tory's whole dynamic is making one step forward and then 10 steps back.
↠ THE HEIRS.
I hate myself a little, because I want to hold a grudge against them, after everything they pulled against the twins, but I'm actually starting to like them. 😩 I don't really care about Caleb and Max as much as individual, because Caleb is in the way of Tory and Darius. Upon my 2nd read of this series Caleb seems even more pathetic and clingy with Tory and he just doesn't get the hint that she is not interested in him. Whereas Max is not in the story enough to be relevant (his interactions w Geraldine are funny tho). But I actually like Seth. He is so clingy with his friends and needs so much affection and I feel so bad for him when no one wants to give him a hug. And Darius he is a FREAKING DRAGON and bc I love his relationship with his brother. But I also like their group dynamic (when they're not trying bully the twins)
↠ Orion & Darius.
I love the bromance between Orion and Darius so much. They are bonded together, it's part why they are so affectionate with e/a, but it's cute & hilarious as hell. The way Max described that Darius would drop the Heirs like a sack of shit once Orion was around.... I mean why hang out with any of them, when he can hang out with THE Orion. I would do the same.
↠ SIDE-CHARACTERS.
In this book Xavier has to be my favorite side characters. I love Darius' little brother so much and someone get him out of that abusive home asap!!!! I want to kill Xavier & Darius' father for a lot of things, but right now it's for the way he treats Xavier. My baby. 😭😭😭

This series is so addictive!! It's really long, but the writing is good and I just fly though it without it getting boring, even though the plot is a bit slow.

This book being my favorite in the series so far, a coincidence or written in the stars?
Zodiac Academy: The Reckoning is actually the first book this year that I'm giving 5 stars. I was thinking about rounding down to 4 stars, because this book is far from perfect, but Darcy + Orion have me in a chokehold and I love them so much. All the stars for them and only them. 💫

After the events at the end of ZA: Ruthless Fae , everyone is still in shocked, but as a Fae you have to move on. One week until The Reckoning, also known at Zodiac Academy as Hell's week. The seniors are making the lives for the Juniors even harder, because they need to prepare them for the Reckoning.
Tory, Darcy and their friends are trying to survive Hell's week and going through the trials for each of their elements.
This book included the heirs + Orions POVs again, as well as Tory and Darcy's POV.

↠ TORY & DARCY VEGA.
We finally find out in this book what their Order is and I'm so happy about it!! Lemme just say that their Order ist fucking BADASS. The twins are already pretty badass, cause they hold all four elements, but I love love love their Order so much. From all mythicial creatures that one is by far my favorite.
I'm still liking both Tory and Darcy. Tory has more individual badass moments, but Darcy has the better romance imo lol.
When we were together, we were safe. Tory had been my only constant in life and no matter where we were or whatever happened to us, I knew I always had her.
↠ PROFESSOR LANCE ORION. This guy is so fucking dramatic and I love every second of it. Watch me open my own fanclub for him. I would be the Geraldine and bringing him food & drinks. It would be an honor to be his blood bag. Everything for you sir.
How he keeps being the biggest asshole to everyone (Tory included), his pep talk in his class–legendary stuff–but he is soft, jealous and possessive when it comes to Darcy. We love that. 💅
Okay ngl Orion had one jealous "WTF" moment in this book, when I was screaming at my screen what the hell he was thinking about??? But seriously I love this guy so much and sometime he is just such an asshole and dumbass that I'm looking the other way. Orion could go and kill every single character and I'd be like "my husband has a very valid reason for all the slaughtering".
"Mr Indus has something to say," Orion announced. Elijah cleared his throat. The class waited attentively and some people sniggered. "I'm pathethic."
"And?" Orion prompted.
"And a coward."
Orion cocked his head, still waiting. Elijah sighed. "And I'd like to apologise to you all for being an embarassement to the school. And to Solaria. And to the entire race of Fae."
"If you wak out again you're done." Orion snarled and I sensed he really meant that.
"Hungover, Miss Vega?" he growled and she sighed, realising her mistake.
"Yes, sir. If you fancy sending any of your healing magic this way, that would be swell."
Orion gave her one of his darkest smiles that said he definitely wasn't her friend right then. "Oh I won't be doing that. If you turn up to my class hungover you can deal with the consequences." He shot to her side at a fierce speed and bellowed, "CAN'T YOU?!" in her ear. It even made me flinch, but Tory winced with pure pain.
Pleasesseeeee DKFKSLFJFLDSFLS, can he get even more annoying? 😭🤚

My ride or die. These two are my favorite couple of this series no competition. A lot of people prefer Darius, because he has this intense bad boy aura, but it's always going to be Orion and Darcy for me. He cares so much for her and this book was peak Orion and Darcy moments. Every single scene was gold. Orion and Darcy the reason why I'm lowkey obsessed with this series. They are relationship goals and you can't change my mind. 😌
Lance:
I guess you're about to go radio silence so for what it's worth...

The reason behind Darcy's blue hair and every time Orion calls her 'Blue' it's hitting me right in the feels and then he goes and says this. 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Seeing another guy's hands on you makes me want to rip out their eyes so they never get to look at you again.
I have so many highlights of them and it's so hard to chose quotes so I'm always inserting random ones.
"Hm... you're missing something though."
"What?" I frowned.
He reached behind his seat and produced the crown he'd won at the fair, placing it on my head. I smiled so wide my cheeks hurt.
"Better," he said, his eyes becoming hooded as he rested his hands on my thights and drew me closer.
"If you go around placing crowns on my head, you're going to be in trouble," I teased and his mouth skewed.
"Well let's not tell anyone then," he said, leaning in to kiss my neck.
That whole car sex scene is hot. 🥵
And one last text message between them, bc they are so cute. 😭

I want what they have! Orion and Darcy call me single on every level possible and I don't know if I should be sad or happy about that. 😭
↠ TORY & DARIUS.
I thought I have read slowburn before, but Tory and Darius give slowburn another meaning, cause we are already 3 books in a.k.a. almost 1700 pages into the series and these two haven't even had their first kiss yet. I'm starting to get annoyed at all the Tory & Caleb sex scenes, cause I really don't see a point in them. They are fuck 'buddies' (and I use that term losely, cause they are not really buddies) and everything is clearly hinting at Tory and Darius being endgame and I want to see more scenes of Tory & Darius together instead we get tons of Tory and Caleb having sex all over the academy. But at least the few scenes between Tory and Darius were good. I really love the scenes where she was going home with Darius and was bonding with his brother Xavier and then when they were racing with their motorbikes or when Darius took care of Tory when she was drunk and her magic was out of controll. Reading those scenes I'm always like "omg look how good you two could have been if you should only get your shit together" The motorbike racing scene was the first scene where I started to truly like them, cause they have the chemistry, but the push and pull is ehhh not my jam. Darius and Tory's whole dynamic is making one step forward and then 10 steps back.
She wasn't just a girl though. Not to me. She was the one girl I shouldn't want, the one I couldn't have, the one I didn't need. And yet I did. And everything in my life could be damaged so badly by that need that I'd fought it tooth and claw up until this point.
↠ THE HEIRS.
I hate myself a little, because I want to hold a grudge against them, after everything they pulled against the twins, but I'm actually starting to like them. 😩 I don't really care about Caleb and Max as much as individual, because Caleb is in the way of Tory and Darius. Upon my 2nd read of this series Caleb seems even more pathetic and clingy with Tory and he just doesn't get the hint that she is not interested in him. Whereas Max is not in the story enough to be relevant (his interactions w Geraldine are funny tho). But I actually like Seth. He is so clingy with his friends and needs so much affection and I feel so bad for him when no one wants to give him a hug. And Darius he is a FREAKING DRAGON and bc I love his relationship with his brother. But I also like their group dynamic (when they're not trying bully the twins)
Seth bounded out of the chair and leapt on Darius like he'd just declared his undying love for him instead of offering a consolation hug. He jumped into Darius' arms and knocked him back onto the bed where they fell on top of Cal who got dragged into the hug too. I laughed as the mood in the room switched dramatically and amusement, happiness and friendship filled the air. I got up and dove on top of them as well, earning myself more licks from Seth as he alternated between all of us.
"Come on, Orion," Seth called excitedly. "You can join my honorary pack for the night."
"Not a fucking chance," Orion replied, folding his arms as he stayed well away from us where we were all tangled on the bed.
↠ Orion & Darius.
I love the bromance between Orion and Darius so much. They are bonded together, it's part why they are so affectionate with e/a, but it's cute & hilarious as hell. The way Max described that Darius would drop the Heirs like a sack of shit once Orion was around.... I mean why hang out with any of them, when he can hang out with THE Orion. I would do the same.
I turned away from Darius and he jumped onto my back, locking his legs around my waist. "Giddy up pony."
↠ SIDE-CHARACTERS.
In this book Xavier has to be my favorite side characters. I love Darius' little brother so much and someone get him out of that abusive home asap!!!! I want to kill Xavier & Darius' father for a lot of things, but right now it's for the way he treats Xavier. My baby. 😭😭😭

This series is so addictive!! It's really long, but the writing is good and I just fly though it without it getting boring, even though the plot is a bit slow.

There no one on earth that I hate more than I hate Lionel, that son of a bitch stole THE TORYDARIUS MOMENT that I had been waiting for since the past three books and I am so furious because AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH I have to read another book for them to be together?? 😭😭😭
Ok let's calm down and move to the writing: safe to say it is improving, I can still get easily hooked while enjoying the book and cringing less, the only part that I did cringe on was at whatever the fuck Diego was yapping about.
The characters and the romance:
Tory and Darius🔥🐉: Ladies and Gentlemen, Them. They were everything, the fact that are not even together and they are emy favourite ship?!?! Everything about them screams hot. The tension that they have been radiating since the past three books is so insane that I know I will go mad if they don't end up together in the next one because the angst and the slow burn is burning too much 🥵🥵 I want them to fuck, respectfully. I love Tory so much, how she can fuck the heirs and not look back and do whatever she wants without giving zero flying fucks 🤌 Darius 🤭 we all saw how down bad he was and how he got angry every time he saw Tory and Caleb together like 🤭 and the bike competition scene was everything!! I love them so much.
Blue and Lance💙🧛: While ToryDarius are my favourite ship, these two stole all the amazing romantic moments because they were so hot??!? And the forbidden aspect of their relationship made it even hotter!? Safe to say the crowining scene that takes place after the fair did not indeed disappoint, it was amazing 🥵 and Blue and Lance were the best part about this book. They made me laughable DN brought so much joy through their povs. While I love ToryDarius I did find them frustrating. BlueLance was a nice escapism from that and I just know there relationship will be everything in the following books because the scenes that we got here?? The rain, the crowining, the end?!? Perfect.
I also got find of Caleb but he's no Darius so shush now.
Also another unexpected potential couple that I will be shipping is Geraldine grus and Max 🤭 because they were so cutishly hot together. I want more of them.
Now can we talk about their orders???? Because I did not expect that....while I did not expect dragons because it was stoo obvious, I definitely did not expect what they were and the end made em furious but also happy but also screaming. I felt so many emotions through this book I can't even remember uff. Also not to mention how well done the reckoning part was. I enjoyed the whole book without getting bored even slightly.
I will be taking a break from this series as a breather and will continue Shadow princess in a day or two.

I’m dying here bc I need to start the next book asap but I need some time to destress after all that anxiety. Every time I finish one of these books I end up needing a day bc it leaves me feeling empty. Void of emotions, life and soul.

I can’t believe the things that happened in this book. I swear it was jam-packed with shit that happened. And it took so many words in 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙎 𝘽𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙏 𝙊𝙁 𝘼 𝘽𝙊𝙊𝙆 to relay everything. And by everything, I mean every single fucking detail.
That’s the only true flaw I found in this book. But am I upset about it? No fucking way. I had a blast reading every word. Honestly it had me hooked at every turn. The back and forth, the dance with danger and just everything. Every pov had a purpose and I ate it tf up.
𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱. This book really tested my relationship with him for sure. I got so pissed at him and Darius so bad it came to a point where I *𝙜𝙖𝙨𝙥* rescinded my marriage proposal. But don’t worry, all is right with the world and he’s back in my good graces… 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘸.
He can be 𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐇 a romantic and honestly so fucking adorable at times, it stamps a grin on my face forevermore.

I can’t believe the things that happened in this book. I swear it was jam-packed with shit that happened. And it took so many words in 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙎 𝘽𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙏 𝙊𝙁 𝘼 𝘽𝙊𝙊𝙆 to relay everything. And by everything, I mean every single fucking detail.
That’s the only true flaw I found in this book. But am I upset about it? No fucking way. I had a blast reading every word. Honestly it had me hooked at every turn. The back and forth, the dance with danger and just everything. Every pov had a purpose and I ate it tf up.
𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱. This book really tested my relationship with him for sure. I got so pissed at him and Darius so bad it came to a point where I *𝙜𝙖𝙨𝙥* rescinded my marriage proposal. But don’t worry, all is right with the world and he’s back in my good graces… 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘸.
He can be 𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐇 a romantic and honestly so fucking adorable at times, it stamps a grin on my face forevermore.

This was the best one in the series yet!!
✅ THE MAGICAL ACADEMY VIBES in this were seriously top-notch. I seriously love this academy so much! The survival of the fittest mentality, the freshman hazing, the elemental trials they had to go through... it was like if you combined Mean Girls with Avatar: The Last Airbender with Harry Potter and put them all on steroids 😅
✅ WE GOT THE MOTORCYCLE RACE and it was amazinggggg 😍 It didn't end in any sexy times between Tory and Darius, which I was pretty disappointed in, but I still loved getting to see this little competition between them
🆗 SPEAKING OF TORY AND DARIUS... can these two please at least kiss already or else I'm going to self-combust from all the damn sexual tension between them.
That scene on the beach between them was so beautiful without them even kissing AND THEN THAT SHITSTORM HAD TO HAPPEN AND RUIN IT ALL %#&!@ I AM SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW

It’s *finally* getting spicy and I’m HERE FOR IT. I honestly don’t even have a favorite ship- I’m just trash for all of them. And seeing some of my theories come to light is everything to meeee. The girls are becoming more badass and the guys are getting more whipped and the magic is getting more intense, what more can a fantasy/smut loving girlie ask for? Now again, I’ll reiterate that this isn’t the most fabulously written or well thought out fantasy- but that’s not going to keep me from loving these and diving straight into the next book. So you’re barking up the wrong tree if you want to complain to me about those things cause I couldn’t care less

This was definitely best book so far in the series.
At this point this is a LANCE ORION STAN ACCOUNT. Respectfully, nobody else is on his level. He’s an icon. He’s a legend. He is the moment. The amount of bluelance content we got was not nearly enough. I want more NO I NEED MORE. I need it more than my next breath.
Tory Tory Tory. PLEASE. Y’all I cannot do love triangles I simply can’t. It’s dragging way too long now we all know you want Darius please stop leading on poor Caleb I’m TIRED. Is anyone else tired? Probably not I think it’s just me. But I also kinda love that she has these childish men foaming at the mouth for her to look in their direction hehe
K but also Darius definitely stepped his game up in this book. The shit he said to Tory at the end? I’m melting?? He’s ready to risk it all for her and I AM HERE FOR IT. Just break it off with Caleb I am begginggg
Where has Seth come out of nowhere all over Darcy? He is literally so sauceless it’s not even funny. He gives me the ick. Ew. Stay away from her thanks! Oh you too Diego. I knew I didn’t like him for some reason.
Also why are the Heirs so charming when separated but insufferable when together? Except for the scene in Max’s bedroom that was adorable and I wanted them to stay like that forever. And Max’s siren gifts are kinda underrated. He one ups everyone by feeling everything.
Max and Geraldine were so unexpected but so so SO good. More please!

I literally died and then came back to life when Lance said this to Darcy 💘💗💖💞💓💕💌💝 They are everything to me. EVERYTHING.
This series is going to be my death one day. I'm sure of it. I've never been so addicted to a series like this atleast not since "Addicted series". ZA just make me feel lots of emotions. Like I hate so many characters because of the horrible things they did and continued to do till now and probably in next books also but I also like them for all their flaws and the way they never hide who they are. Its never a one way with these characters. And I loved that the most about this series because its just made them more realistic no matter how fucked up they all are.
Also this book was 🤌🏻💘 this is my first 5 star book of ZA series and maybe my favourite also and let me tell you this book served well. It had everything I wanted. Bluelance's scorching and sweet romance and Torydarius's angsty and hatred realtionship which was Chef's kiss 🤌🏻❤️🔥 Also I loved this one more because finally WE HAVE A PLOT and its finally moving towards something atleast!
And the Lunar Eclipse chapters were hilarious and the amount of second hand embarrassment I got while reading those scenes 😭 my only savior while reading those scenes were Bluelance because professor Orion was in a mood of punishing someone particular 😮💨🔥 and Torydarius because the SEXUAL TENSION BETWEEN THEM ON THAT DAY WAS JUST BURNING AND I WAS BURNING WITH THEM ❤️🔥🔥
Also Seth Capella is growing on me slowly and steadily even though he's an asshole but I can't help but love this big bad fluffy furry wolfyy boy 😗

They haven't changed a bit and I know they have their own reasons to torture Vega twins and I still have a hate-love realtionship with them. They maybe assholes but their brotherly bond and their friendship is one of the most precious thing in this book. The way they all care so much for each other and would do anything for each other and
“Oh for fuck’s sake,” Darius muttered. “Come here then, puppy.” Seth bounded out of the chair and leapt on Darius like he’d just declared his undying love for him instead of offering a consolation hug. He jumped into Darius’s arms and knocked him back onto the bed where they fell on top of Cal who got dragged into the hug too.

I LOVE THEM I LOVE THEM I LOVE THEM SO FUCKING MUCH and the way they make my heart go all gooey with their sweet and spicy moments and damn we finally FINALLY had our first spicy moment of them in this and it was just so fucking hot ❤️🔥🫦 and the sexual tension between them in this book was just burning 😮💨🔥
“You said no physical contact,” I whispered as his muscles hardened, keeping me caged beneath him. I was losing my mind.
“What if I’m having second thoughts?” he growled.
He dipped his head so his mouth was by my ear and goosebumps rose to meet the heat of his breath. “I can't think straight around you,” he said heavily,
“I don't have anything, sir,” I said innocently. “Are we really going to play this game?” He leaned into my face and my throat closed up as the all- too- familiar cinnamon scent of him washed over me, reminding me viscerally of the kiss we'd shared.
And the way Lance cares for Darcy and can't get enough of her 🥺 ITS EVERYTHING. The way Lance helps her, sends her cute cute text messages 🥹 and tries to make her feel safe and comfort had me all screaming and giggling. They both were fooling and playing with each other in previous books thinking they will never cross that forbidden territory ever (nothing just two delulu liars) but in this book Bluelance is on another level.

“I want you to the point of pain, Blue.”

He dragged his thumb across my mouth, wiping it hard and I wriggled to try and stop him, but I was completely cornered.

I think I have a few theories about why they are so obsessed with each other and will take any risk they could just so they could be together. And I want that theory to be true or I'll die. And I swear if the authors tried to or even think about hurting them I'll fight them with my life for these two.

They hurt me so much with all their hatred and everything else but I just love them so so so much that I would fight the heavens and earth for them and their happy ending.
Darius caught my hand and pulled me upright, before throwing his arm around my shoulders as he held his Atlas in front of us and took a picture while pressing a kiss to the top of my head. I couldn’t help but laugh as he took the picture which he instantly sent on to Caleb.
“You’re an asshole,” I said halfheartedly as I ducked out from under his arm.
“At least I’m consistent,” he replied with a laugh.
“I have a perfectly good bed downstairs,” I replied, shaking my head just a little. “Why would you want me to stay?” Darius frowned like he wasn’t sure what to say to that but he inched a little closer all the same. “Because it feels right,” he breathed.
They both give me so much life and the way we had atleast some of their sweet moments okay just a one or two moments but I ate them all up because its never enough when it comes to them. The way Darius took her for a ride and let her spend time with Xavier because he trusted her and damn even Tory started trusting him until he broke her heart again 😭
He wrapped his arm around me more tightly, stopping me from rising. “Don’t go,” he breathed and there was a strange kind of plea in his voice.
The way I read this scene over and over again 💞💘💓💖💗💕
The palpable attraction and lust and angst is all there between them but god they are never acting on it to end my misery 😭 I know their slowest slow burn is gonna be my death one day but I also know that when that final thread of tension and hatred will snap its gonna be a lot of painful but they really really need to stop pretending they hate each other so damn much. Its that I already know I'm in a ride with them filled with pain and heartbreaks 😭

They are one of my favourite potential ships in ZA and please I want them to be together so badly because first Geraldine is such a savage badass and the way she shuts Max's mouth is just 💅🏼 and I know Max is gonna need a lot of grovelling and efforts to make her even like him.
“Yeah baby. Do you wanna see my sea cucumber in private?” Max offered.
Before we reached her, Geraldine turned toward the sea. “Actually, you can keep your oily dolphin flippers to yourself, Max Rigel.” She ran into the sea and he stared after her in shock.
“For the love of sanitary sausages, please tell me you aren’t bringing your depraved hobbies in here where we all eat our meals!” she cried. “It’s bad enough you paid a griffin to take a dump on your chest without bringing your randy rocket out with you for breakfast!”

They look good together? No doubt they do. Yeah they are hot and all but I don't think I ship them as a couple and all. It's all good till they are just giving us some spicy content and all. But I think maybe Caleb is gonna be a problem in future ? Because he's starting to want more from Tory now when all I want her to kick his ass and go to Darius. But honestly Caleb is one of the heirs who don't disappoint me in this series. Sure he's a cocky asshole but he's also good to Tory? Or maybe I'm just like Tory falling for his hotness 😗
Can't we just kill Daddy Acrux in the next book because I've had enough of him and his bullshit and he is the worst cockblocker in this book 😒 and the things he did to Xavier is just made me want to burn him alive 🔪 how can he do that to sweet little Xavier 😭💔 I just wish Darius helps him to get away from their fucked up father's trap.
Ending?? THE ENDING?? Are you kidding me!?!? How can they do that to Vega twins, Lance and Darius 😭 the way they all were helpless and had to went through hell because fucked up daddy Acrux just decided to have some fun with the fucked up things of their world. I would've died if book 4 was not written 😭 I'm so scared to read next book even more after this ending.

If you heard a loud YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASS echoing in the distance, that was me. Best book in the series so far? I THINK SO. But I knew it would be, because the title shares the name of one of my favorite songs by Halestorm. #foreshadowing
I began Zodiac Academy on a whim a couple days ago, only to get sucked in. It has everything I love in a story: magic, danger, action, romance, strong heroines, dangerous men, and well-placed humor. Picture Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield fighting their way through Vampire Academy against Hana Yori Dango's Elite Four while using Harry Potter spells, and that's basically the whole premise in a nutshell. Darcy and Tory Vega are the long-lost princesses of the fae kingdom and they're enrolled in school to prove their worth before they can claim their inheritance and their throne. But the four elemental heirs who grasped power in the void aren't willing to give up their legacy. If they can't rule, no one can.
One of the things that makes this so much richer than other bully romances is because of how the sisters fight back. Their acts of revenge are truly brilliant and some of them wreak pretty devastating results on the boys. When one of the boys in this book finds out who was responsible, he FLIPS THE FUCK OUT, and boy is it satisfying to watch. It isn't often that you get to see a female character commit that kind of betrayal, so I loved that. And the Heirs deserve it.
Some of the stand-outs about this book were the introduction of Hell Week: a week of hazing before the students go through The Reckoning, a series of Goblet of Fire-esque challenges to test the mettle of the students and see if they're worthy of enrollment. Also, one of my ships FINALLY banged, and that was royally satisfying on so many levels and didn't disappoint. There's actually a lot of smut in this book, to the point where I might have to start calling it Smut Academy. I know some people don't like Tory for being more promiscuous than Darcy but YOU KNOW??? She should get some, if that's what she wants. The vampire sex games she plays with Caleb were hot. And Darcy and Orion are the MVPs.
Some other random thoughts: Professor Washer and his sex toys literally scarred me for life. Seeing the fae getting all horned up during the lunar eclipse was hilarious. I will never not laugh when Caleb gets mad at people for thinking he has a pegasus fetish. Geraldine and Sofia are the BEST and I love them. Xavier must be protected at all costs. I want to go to a Fairy Fair. AND AND AND we finally get to find out what Darcy and Tory's Order is... and it is PERFECT. Look at me being all good and not spoilering you the way I DESPERATELY, DESPERATELY want to. I'm being good for your sake. So you'll read these books too and be as awed and astounded as I am.
But God. That cliffhanger. Everything has changed now.
Lucky for me, I know my girls won't disappoint.

The ending. THE FUCKING ENDING. WHAT IS WITH THESE BOOKS AND THEIR MIND-BOGGLING ENDINGS WTF.
Istg this book made me feel so many things- all at once most of the times. First of all though- I'm so fucking proud of myself bcs I guessed the girls' order correct.
Tory and Darcy have my heart. They can step on me or whatever and I'll be happy. They're so fucking precious and the way they love and care for each other- being an only child, it makes me feel all kinds of things, mostly good but yea. ALSO THEIR ORDER?? PERFECT 🤌🏻
Darcy and Lance- cutiess. I mean, ngl they're so hot together but at the same time, they're so sweet and all adorable and shit which makes my heart go all crazy. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.
Also, Lance took my heart when he kept shouting at Tory the day she was hungover. BEST. SCENE. IN. THE. WHOLE. BOOK. FOR. ME.

I actually hated Max the most up until 50% into the book, but I'm kinda liking him more now. His povs helped and idk when he was taking care of the whole group bcs they all were going batshit crazy- especially Seth- the little shit actually made me soften up to him some.

I did feel this book was slightly slower than the last one, hence the four stars. But so much happened I can't begin to sum it up. The plot thickens and am all for it. With the twins' Orders emergence I can't wait to see their powers at full capacity.
The romantic drama is at peak. But I guess it's just going to get complex with Tory stuck in between Darius and Caleb; both are good competitors 😂 I think Darcy and Orion are most definitely Mates👀 (Which I will absolutely ship); wonder how Seth will take it. Don't suppose he'll be happy but let's see. Is it weird I want Darcy to be part of the pack despite all the complicated relationships?😂
Also, the jealousy trope in this one🥵🥵

This series is killing me. I've read this book in ONE DAMNED DAY, and I swear it's eating me alive. From all that romance, plots, mystery and teasing, to the POV's that again were shared between Tory, Darcy, the Heirs and Orion to that heart stopping ending... it will murder me, it simply will.

》》The Plot《《
After the attack against Zodiac Academy, Fae must do what Fae do best: move on and show no weakness. Which means that, with the upcoming Reckoning, the Hell Week is about to start for all freshmen. Each one of them has to go through trials for each of the elements they possess before taking the final test, while also going through the week where all older students are allowed and encouraged to rain down hell over their heads.
“Caleb’s just trying to get into my pants again.”
“How hard are you going to make him work for it?”
“He took part in the whole throwing us in a pit business. So I’m thinking I’m done with him,” I said dismissively.
“Yeah, you totally should be,” she agreed. “But that look in your eye says you’re not.”
“That’s just the part of my brain which is blinded by his hotness. I refuse to listen to her because she’s a slut. The sensible part of my brain says hell no and I’ll be keeping company with her and her chastity belt from now on.”

DAMN. I LOVE THEM TO THE MOON AND BACK. Especially since the Moon gave us such entertaining scenes here. But anyway, the relationships in this book? AMAZING.

I want to hate them, I do, but I just can't. I love Darius and Caleb without question, Max hasn't really appeared enough to make him the cherry of my pie but I adore him and Seth was so cuddly and simply cute that my poor heart just keeps forgetting what an ass he can be.

“That almost sounds like fun,” I teased.
“Yes, well I can be fun sometimes. Especially when I'm not wearing this suit.”
I stared at him and his eyes widened as he realised what he'd said.

“I have a bit of a weakness for assholes,” I admitted slowly. “But I’m used to them lying about what they are. At least you own it.”
“I do,” Caleb said with a smirk, his hand travelling up my neck ever so slowly. “I’m an honest to god asshole. Do you want to keep playing with me, Tory?”
“Maybe,” I breathed because in that moment I didn’t even know anymore.
I love Caleb. I've said this before and I'll say this again. And I do enjoy their scenes but again, I know Tory and Darius are endgame. It can't be any other way and I just want it to happen because their slow burn romance makes me go crazy. The thing is, I think Caleb might have actual feelings for that badass Vega and I just don't want my golden-bad-boy-turned-sweet-for-her to be heart broken.
"He was the perfect escape from the mayhem of everything else that was going on in my life. And I was more than happy to lose myself with him for a little while."
I mean, they certainly have a lot of chemistry and I did enjoy their scenes, which were teasing and hot at times, but sometimes actually cute. And again, I love them separately a lot and I just want for them to end up on good terms and not have this entire thing go up in flames.
"Darius caught my hand and pulled me upright, before throwing his arm around my shoulders as he held his Atlas in front of us and took a picture while pressing a kiss to the top of my head. I couldn’t help but laugh as he took the picture which he instantly sent on to Caleb."
But you know what I love? This competition and banter between Caleb and Darius over Tory.

This series is killing me. I've read this book in ONE DAMNED DAY, and I swear it's eating me alive. From all that romance, plots, mystery and teasing, to the POV's that again were shared between Tory, Darcy, the Heirs and Orion to that heart stopping ending... it will murder me, it simply will.

Each one of them has to go through trials for each of the elements they possess before taking the final test, while also going through the week where all older students are allowed and encouraged to rain down hell over their heads.

I want to hate them, I do, but I just can't. I love Darius and Caleb without question, Max hasn't really appeared enough to make him the cherry of my pie but I adore him and Seth was so cuddly and simply cute that my poor heart just keeps forgetting what an ass he can be.

I love Caleb. I've said this before and I'll say this again. And I do enjoy their scenes but again, I know Tory and Darius are endgame. It can't be any other way and I just want it to happen because their slow burn romance makes me go crazy. The thing is, I think Caleb might have actual feelings for that badass Vega and I just don't want my golden-bad-boy-turned-sweet-for-her to be heart broken.
"He was the perfect escape from the mayhem of everything else that was going on in my life. And I was more than happy to lose myself with him for a little while."
I mean, they certainly have a lot of chemistry and I did enjoy their scenes, which were teasing and hot at times, but sometimes actually cute. And again, I love them separately a lot and I just want for them to end up on good terms and not have this entire thing go up in flames.

Here I am, continuing this series because I made a promise to all my followers that I was going to read the entire thing, 
so I can finally understand why people love it so much.
I can definitely see the writing improvement when you compare this to book 1-2, but my opinion remains the same: THIS BOOK HAD NO BUSINESS BEING NEARLY 600 PAGES LONG NO - BUSINESS!
There is so much that is absolutely useless, so much that should be cut out and rewritten and I really believe this series deserves this. I wish they would rewrite, or that someone will do that in fanfic form eventually.
A lot of things haven't changed.
- Tory is still the worst and most annoying twin.
- Darius is still pathetic and his daddy issues are screaming so loud that he PUNCHED AN IPAD, instead of punching a wall.
-Seth is still the worst character I have ever read about since Sean from Flock.
- This still feels like a Winx Club episode.
- We get a lot of weird gay interaction between the boys that make it seem like they're making fun of M/M attraction. Like it's something to laugh about. They have certain magic bonds that make them sexually attracted to each other even if they are not necessarily homosexual, it just rubs me the wrong way that it's being treated as a joke.
The only salvageable thing that ALMOST...and I say ALMOST, made me forget how bad these books actually are: Darcy and Orion.
There is no secret, teacher-student romances are my favorite thing in the world. So please, I am SO BIASED. It takes 3 entire books for us to get some development of any kind and the only ones who deserve it are right here.
The whole blue or green thing? JESUS THAT SCENE WAS NEARLY PERFECT.

Orion, her teacher, nicknamed her blue because of the blue streak she had in her hair. That blue piece of hair gets cut by one of the heirs against her will and once she finally grows her hair back, Orion flirts with her by saying: what color are you dying it next? Green or Blue? If you do blue, it means you like me. So in one desperate full moon night, this bitch GOES TO HIS SLEEPING QUARTERS in the middle of the night, he opens the door and she just stands there with a fully dyed blue head and just says: BLUE. And he also tells her that Blue in solaria means royal, but to him, blue means her.
The scene was nearly perfect, but they ruin it by making Orion ask a dumb question after she goes through all that trouble for him, AS USUAL. We can't win. Do you know how much work it is to dye your entire hair? lmao, anyways, but yeah they finally fuck and it's adorable.
Orion has the best quotes in this entire series so far.

I honestly believe that it's the dynamic for me. I am a fan of teacher-student romances, ergo, I love everything about these two. Is it worth it to read the entire series just for the CRUMBLES you get of their relationship? It depends... I'd say no. Because of the time you have to invest in it to get to this point.
Darcy is the reasonable twin and the only person I'd actually want on a throne one day because Tory is just like the heirs, stupid, mindless, and a waste of space.
Anyways, I won't lie though, it does get easier to understand how people got addicted to this series. It's just the sort of mindless reading you have to do to keep going and you get used to the characters at some point. I will move on to book 4, people say this will make you or break you.
The ending of this book was still super underwhelming and predictable but I am glad I know their orders now. I am honestly just reading this out of sheer curiosity and maybe even a little bit of FOMO at this point, but I will rage if they ruin Darius' and Tory's character development. I swear, I will.
One star for the blue hair scene, one star for Darcy and one for Orion.
But it's what I always say, if you have to invest over 2000 pages and four books to even begin to understand or get a grasp of the series as a whole, is it even worth going through it? Maybe if you have a loooooooooot of time and nothing else to read.

Yep. I am officially hooked. 😅
While the plot is objectively not the best, this series is addictive. It took me a few days to post my review because I couldn’t take the time to sit down and write it, I had to read the next book ASAP. The pace felt slower at times, and there were a lot of details added that were not always relevant, yet there is so much happening that it didn’t feel like an over-500-pages novel.
After the nymphs’ attack on the academy, the students don’t have time to mourn and deal with their emotions. With the Reckoning fast approaching, they need to remain strong and show no weakness. Before the Reckoning, the freshmen have to go through Hell Week, where all the older students are allowed and encouraged to make their life a living hell. After all, only the strongest deserve to remain at Zodiac Academy. Hell week is not that different from the usual for Darcy and Tory, but the nymphs are still circling, and the Celestial Council is not done with the twins, meaning their life might be in danger because Lionel Arcrux will stop at nothing to protect his position and power.
I have to admit that now that the mean-girl jealous drama has been toned down, I am enjoying the magical academy vibe of this series. It’s just so ruthless, students have to survive on their own and it’s just normal if a few of them do not make it out unscathed because you know, that’s the way of faes. Survival of the strongest and the fittest.
Tory and Darcy Vega💧🌱💨🔥
We finally know Darcy and Tory’s order, and it is so badass and awesome!! I love those two and I love how strong they remain despite everything that happened to them. They always bounce back and they have each other’s back no matter what. Their sisterly bond is so, so, so beautiful and it’s one of my favorite aspects of this series.
Geraldine Grus 🐕💧🌱
Geraldine becomes even more important in this book, and I get the feeling that she is underappreciated..? I knew about the twins, Orion, and the Heirs before I even started the first book, but I’d never heard about Geraldine and I don’t understand why?! She is so awesome and funny with her silly expressions. She is much stronger than I thought when I read the first book, and she actually can kick asses when she wants. I really like her and I would LOVE to have some chapters in her POV in the future. Please and thank you.

I am in love with Lance Orion. I mean… I was already half in love with him after reading the Ruthless Boys series, but I was not that impressed with him in the first book. Sure, I loved his “I don’t give a shit” attitude and I found it funny how he was just brutal and abusive with his students, but I like it even more when he interacts with them and there is a kind of sassy banter going on. It makes him more likable, while still keeping the “badass teacher that doesn’t give a crap” vibe. The fact that he had to teach that specific lesson was also the cherry on the cake. I was cackling. 😂
Caleb Altair 🧛🌱🔥
I don’t know exactly how I feel about Caleb’s obsession with Tory. On one hand, I find it funny to see how desperate he is for her attention and how she has him wrapped around her finger, but on the other hand, I find him obnoxious and he just doesn’t fit with Tory at all. Then again, it adds some romantic drama to the plot, because Tory will inevitably end up stuck between him and Darius, and I’m fine with the extra drama. 😈
Max Rigel 🧜🏽♂️💧💨
He was not as bad as I thought he would be, but he was still not present enough for me to like or dislike him. I am waiting to see how his character will develop in the next book because for now, he lacks depth, to be honest. Not that the character is not developed, but we just don’t know much about him, or see much of him in general.
Seth Capella 🐺💨🌱
Meh. I still hate him. He has this goofy and cuddly side that comes out when his wolf is more in control, which is kind of cute I’ll admit, but under the light and smiley appearance, he is dark, cruel, and twisted, and the fact that he pretends to be nice makes it even worse. I want to like parts of him, but it is just so hard because he is the one that seems to enjoy torturing the twins the most. He’s a cold bastard.
Darius Acrux 🐉🔥💧
I really liked him in this book. He has much more depth and personality than in the other books, and he is becoming very interesting. He is so much more than a cold, power-hungry jerk, and we can see it more with each book. The ending with the Eclipse night, the scene on the beach, and the aftermath of Lionel’s shitshow showed how intense and protective he could be, and I can’t wait to see more of his sweeter side.
I am much more involved in Tory and Darius’ potential romance after this book than I was after book 2. In this one, we could feel the sexual tension between them. But we were also able to see how well they would fit together. They like the same things, and complete and understand each other so easily. There is still much work to do for them to come even close to admitting their attraction and feelings, but I hope we’ll get there sometime in the next books.
Darcy and Orion are so cute together, I will honestly cry if anything happens to them and they can’t end up together and have their happily ever after. They both deserve to be happy and I hope they will be able to live their love “for real” soon instead of being forced to sneak around and hide their feelings… But I admit that the fact that they have to be sneaky adds some tension to their romance, and I am not disliking it…
I am so excited to finally know the twin’s order, and I loved Geraldine and Xavier so much as secondary characters, I want more of them. This series is really addictive, and I am going to go continue the 4th book now (I am almost done with it already 😅). I also can’t wait for Lionel, and also the Heirs, to get what they deserve… but mostly Lionel. He needs to suffer and dies a slow painful death.

Now, I was adrift without her, my heart trying to tear its way out of my chest in a bid to go to her.
But now... the only girl I craved was Darcy Vega. Which was an impossible dream.
“Oh my god, puke,” Tory said and I blew out a laugh. “If you keep singing at us I’ll throat punch you like I did to Max.”
Caleb shot to her side in a blur of motion, slinging his arm around her shoulders. “Ohh what beautiful poetry you weave for me, sweetheart. Gets me so hard.”
Lance: Blue means you like me.
Lance: I guess you’re about to go back to radio silence so for what it’s worth… In Solaria blue means royal. And to me, blue means you.
“Do you want to know a secret?” she breathed, her voice lowering seductively.
“What?” I asked, wanting to hear anything and everything she might ever want to tell me. She leaned a little closer and her long hair tickled my skin.
“I think,” she breathed slowly. “That I’m going to puke.”
My eyes were closed so I couldn’t see him but I just felt oddly at home. Like this was where I was meant to be.
Darius was just watching me like I was somehow fascinating to him and I couldn’t help but stare back into his deep brown eyes.
“Don’t go,” he breathed and there was a strange kind of plea in his voice.
“Tell me about it,” he begged. “Don’t just leave.”
I wanted to shed every layer I wore and every rule that kept us apart all at once. We were breaking the rules together, tearing them to pieces with our bare hands, every touch rebellious, every kiss defiant.
I was left standing with Darius who was looking at me like I’d just summoned the moon to come and sing us a lullaby.
“I should go,” I breathed.
“Stay,” he replied instantly.
Tonight had been unashamedly one of the best of my life and I wanted to tell my goddamn best friend about it.
“Are you jealous?” he asked hopefully and I snorted.
“No. Like really no.”
“Oh.” He sighed, resting back against the door. “So... do you wanna hang out for a bit?”
“No,” I breathed in confusion. “Of course I don't.” “Right yeah...” He frowned, hanging his head and a whine sounded deep in his throat. “How about a hug then?”
“What part of 'I hate you' do you not get?
“Move,” I demanded, trying to file after the other students as he let them by. His brows jumped up. “Shit, babe, which stars spat in your cereal this morning?”
“All of them,” I huffed. “Now move.”
a love bite showed against his skin.
My gaze narrowed on it. Why hadn’t he just healed it away? Did he even know it was there? When had she given him that? Was it last night when she went to him? Had they even slept at all? Were they literally in the middle of it when we were trying to call him? Had she had her mouth on his neck just a few moments ago? Smoke filled my mouth and I fought to swallow it, refusing to let him see just how much those thoughts pissed me off.
I looked down too and cursed as I spotted the bloodstains all over my white t-shirt. The girl had hit me really damn hard with that branch.
It was pretty hot.
I had no real intention of going anywhere near Darius Acrux tonight.
Probably.
Maybe.
Sixty three percent.
Dammit.
It didn’t take me long to spot Roxy. Her white dress stood out on the sand and her laughter carried to me on the wind like that particular sound had been picked out just for me.
She wasn’t just a girl though. Not to me. She was the one girl I shouldn’t want, the one I couldn’t have, the one I didn’t need. And yet I did. And everything in my life could be damaged so badly by that need that I’d fought it tooth and claw up until this point.
She could have been mine by now and I wouldn’t feel like my heart was constantly trying to bash itself to death on my ribcage every time I saw her.
“There are countless people who would say I’m not allowed to want you,” Darius breathed. “But you make me want to burn the whole world down so that I can claim you for my own.”
“Then we should burn it down,” I agreed.

THIS ATE SO HARD. i cannot tell you why i loved this so much. everything was perfect in my eyes. i was so obsessed with this story, it's definitely the best one yet. i also do not change my opinion of book one. that was still shit and was not needed in the slightest. shoutout to everyone who forced me to start this. idk what to do with myself now that i cannot read this for the first time.
・❥・ tory- she is very clearly the favorite for the two authors lol. it was so very blatant with the way they wrote her. i do think for that reason, she is also my favorite character. we get the most from her during this particularly story. her character is very spontaneous and dynamic and works really well with all the heirs and their clashing personalities. tory is also very entertaining and had the best development from book one and two. i love an outspoken woman and she really delivers on that. of all the characters in this world, tory is the one that is somehow the "center" and works with everyone, if you get what i mean.
・❥・ darcy- my sweet girl. i feel like she is being given the short end of the stick and i have no clue why. let my girl shine please. the way both authors gave her shorter and more chaotic povs, as opposed to tory, told me everything i needed to know. every tory pov was 99% herself with either caleb and his bullshit or darius. with darcy povs, it was always a training situation, fight sequence, or a party scene. now you might ask, why does that matter to me? she was giving me feyre vibes from acotar and acowar. everything was happening around her, not really to her or with her. whereas with tory (i do love her btw) she had all this development with herself, her powers, her love interests etc. darcy sadly was not given any time to shine in that department. due to this, the pacing and tone of her character felt really off. aside from her very brief moments with lance and her weird run ins with seth, she is being done really dirty. i hope this changes moving forward.
・❥・ darius- he was very interesting in this book. the tension he had with tory was insane. he was stressed and bothered the whole time, which i was very clearly eating up. his character really started to become very prominent in this book and brought something to the table. round of applause for this, since his loser friends cannot say the same. he has insane chemistry with lance too?? like girl i have been saying this. if it wasn't tory, i ship this man with orion lmao. like that bond is sus as fuck. also the tattoos, they way he calls tory roxy? and the fact that he is a biker? bye i'm in love with him.
・❥・ lance- sksjdjsjsjsj. listen. is he the most interesting person on planet earth? no. am i obsessed? obviously. this man was reading everybody to FILTH. he is the comedic relief i needed in this book. he is written as this stern and serious professor, but tell me why i was laughing everytime this motherfucker was on my page. he gave no fucks about anyone and lowkey i was living for that. everyone was scared of him which is so funny for no reason. he put everyone in their place and was the only person who knew when to shut up and get serious. the entire school was so needy towards him too. like are there no other professors?? lance judging the rest of the heirs will never not be hilarious. the way he did what he wanted and made sure he got his way was on brand with his character. his relationship/bond with darius read so goofy in his pov scenes. like please i actually need more information on this ASAP. give the people what they want please. i know darius thought about that at least once. stan lance orion.
~ caleb- he is the only other semi prominent character outside of the two twins and the two main guys (lance and darius). lord save me, he has NO chemistry with tory. shut it the fuck down. pack it up. hell, he has more chemistry with seth than he does with any woman in this series. they were pushing it, and i was bored. also of the core characters, caleb seems to be the biggest pushover and has no backbone. he likes to goad darius and fuck around with tory.... if you ask me anything else? he has blonde curly hair. next.
~ seth aka (the most needy bitch alive)- i have beef with this hoe... like why is he still here? the way he is still useless i-. the whole omega bullshit with darcy. i cannot. everytime he was whimpering/upset and trying to cuddle darius? i was rolling on the floor. goodbye. what was even going on?? that man wanted none of that. the funniest part will always be, darius aggressively hugging lance after pushing off seth/ditching his “brothers” for the 1000th time. byee that’s too real.
~ max- his powers are really cool but he is the heir who has the least presence in these books. his powers got the characters into arguments though— so i’m interested to see where that will go. i also sense something happening with geraldine in the future.
opinions on the two main ships:
: ̗̀➛ tory/darius- they have chemistry. this is how you do a slow burn well. their tension during the dancing scene where she is drunk, and he takes her to his room. i was yelling. this is what i needed. i also love that they have done NOTHING, and we are moving onto book four. everytime darius saw her with caleb had me giggling and kicking my feet. also, nobody can convince me that the authors are not heavily biased toward these two. i mean— i get it. i need more. please and thank you.
: ̗̀➛ blue lance- ok i feel so bad. i loved them so much at first, but now they aren't giving me anything. i feel like a lot of it has to do with the fact that they didn't interact nearly as much/or even have many single pov scenes. the second is also how quickly they got together after meeting each other. they didn't have any tension or any banter besides darcy getting jealous of fran and lance getting annoyed with seth and being jealous of diego for .2 seconds. there is so much potential here and i feel like since they are endgame, the authors are pulling an aria/ezra, elena/damon, and blair/chuck. essentially meaning, they are going to get caught, drama, will they/won't they, more drama, jealousy, break up ninety times, the end. unlike tory/darius, these two aren't free to roam around, but at least have them speak to each other and interact.... they deserve better.

this is probably my favourite so far, everything is just falling into place, realizations are being realized, hatred for the heirs is kind of getting less (I still want to castrate them don't let this fool you), and most importantly WE HAVE THE TWINS ORDERS I'm so proud of myself for guessing it rightsksks but Ihave a feeling know I'm going to be ugly crying from now on. that said, i want him to hurt. i want darius to be miserable and sad without being a bully. i want him to be so broken. i want him to be absolutely pathetic. and then i want them to live happily forever after.
bluelance can go ride off into the sunset any minute now though, they're fine how they are.
caleb is fine, i guess, but he's inconsequential i don't really care. and i don't like diego, he needs to be gone already.

What is going on
So much happened in this book, it was a rollecoster of emotions I tell you
Warning: This review is probably gonna be full of spoilers and me freaking the fuck out so procced with caution
First off, there orders so fucking badass, I can't fucking wait for them to terrorise the shit out of the heirs, the next book is going to be so much fun (and traumatic from what i hear fml)
But hopefull in the next book we also get to see more of Tory and Darius bc you know they gotta be fated mates. C'mon the jelousy 🤌🤌 top fucking notch, and the way that they were getting closer was so satasfying BUT THEN WHAT THE TWINS DID FUCKED EVERYTHING UP AND THEY WERE WAY BACK TO SQUARE ONE FML.
But yk Darius is so head over heals for Tory and the love trialngle with the jelousy makes it so much better, yeah I like Caleb bc hes the nicest heir but homeboy needs to get out of the fucking way we need so much more Tory and Darius content.

Dary and Orion gotta be fated mates too, the whole thing about feeling possesive over each other and that if one of them died the other would not want to continue living. They have gotta be mates, im just waiting for it at this point tbh.
And Orion, we love him and the way he is in love with Dary (he doesnt have to say it my intuition never lies)

I mean fair enough who wouldnt?? its Orion the man the myth and the legend himself
Orion, Darius, and Caleb are the best fr, Max and Seth are just there. They don't really do anything, we never see Max, ever, and Seth is so fucking clingy it gets annoying he needs to fuck off.
However, I think that Max and Geraldine are gonna get together but its not gonna be easy for Max because Geraldine like the queen she is will make him work for it and im so fucking excited to see it.
Also Darius my poor baby 😭😭 his father is a fucking twat that needs to be put down and his fear of becomeing like his father is breaking my heart 😭😭
I love this series, im so invested and I dont know why, but im off to read the next book, lets hope it doesnt traumatise me.

This keeps getting crazier and more addictive. I don't think there's much I can say without spoiling books 1 and 2, so in short, if you haven't read this series and you like dark/urban fantasy, I definitely suggest you give it a try. It's funny and sexy but also heartwrenching and clever. Just read it.
*From this point forward there might be spoilers for books 1 and 2*
Random thoughts that I could or could not turn into a coherent review in the future:
- Caleb is a mix between a sweet little puppy and a sociopathic ax murderer.
- I don't trust Diego AT ALL. Never have, never will.
- Tory and Darcy are the definition of sister goals.
- Max is still pretty absent from the story, I wonder if that will ever change.
- Maybe Darius was a bit less of a dick, though I still don't love him. It bothers me how crazy he gets when he loses his temper.
- Darius and Orion are the cutest, I kinda ship them.
*SPOILERS FOR THIS BOOK AHEAD* (And some predictions)
- I think Tory and Darius will be endgame, even though I kinda liked Tory and her simple relationship with Caleb. I think Caleb and Seth will be a thing and obviously Darcy and Orion (unless new characters are presented to us that come and scramble everything up?)
- The Heirs no longer scare me. All they do is petty humiliations and by now I'm sure they aren't really going to hurt the twins so something else needs to happen in book 4, a different plot point or more tension because if there is more teenage humiliation between the groups it will still be fun, it just won't scare anybody.
- I WAS SURE their Order was Phoenix, absolutely certain. I'm curious as to how the story will develop now that the twins have their Order.
- Am I scared of Lionel? Meh, not really. He just feels like a big bully for now. The shadows are more problematic I think.
Okay, I know this is all over the place but I've been reading for hours straight and I need to let it rest before I can form a reasonable review.
