*Winter Chills*

This is book 3 of 5 of the books that feature the residents of Nightingale Square. In this instalment we meet Freya Fuller. She is never happier than when she is working in a garden. This is exactly what she has and is a live in gardener on a an estate in Suffolk owned by a lovely lady called Eloise.

When Eloise sadly passes away, the estate passes on to her obnoxious American nephew. In a heartbeat he is making changes that Freya does not like and he seems to be all about money.

Freya was very close to Eloise and considered her to be her best friend. She finds herself by her graveside asking for a sign. Freya has Nell her owners dog, the nephew wants the dog gone.

By chance while she is pondering what to do, there is a radio advert about Prosperous Place in Norwich. She makes her way seeing it as a sign and is very taken by the place. Before she knows it she is offered a job, Luke the owner and his partner Kate really take to her. They pull out all the stops to accommodate her to be the lead gardener creating a winter garden. I found it interesting that he is so proactive trying to deal with his SAD disorder.

Once she starts work she quickly finds out how welcoming the people on the square are. There is one person in particular that she clashes with and armed with all of Heidi Swain’s ingredients, misunderstandings, jumping to conclusions, making assumptions, colourful characters etc I just sat back and enjoyed the process. A very easy read.

Thank you, Simon & Schuster, and NetGalley for a copy of The Winter Garden by Heidi Swain. I didn’t realise this was book three of a series but, you can read it as a standalone as I have not read the previous 2 books and I found it easy to know what’s going on.
Freya Fuller is trying to get life back on track after losing her employer and mentor Eloise. She is also forced out of her job as a Gardner at Broad Meadows. Her parents want her back at the family business as Landscape gardeners. But Freya has other ideas when she is offered a job to build a Winter Garden at Prosperous Place and a place to live in Nightingale Square. The place is a small community and she starts making friends with the locals especially Finn the hunky sculptor. At first they don’t get along but can they sort their differences out in time to finish the Winter garden in Time?
This is the second book from the author I have read. This is a charming heart-warming tale of love and friendships turning one’s life around. Set around Christmas time this is the perfect book to read on a cold winter’s night. I loved it. 5 stars from me.

When Freya loses her job as a gardener, she falls upon a bit of luck when she befriends Luke, owner of Prosperous Place, and is immediately offered another role creating the house's Winter Garden - and soon moves into Nightingale Square.

This was a lovely winter season book - while there is a little bit of Christmas in this book, it's not the main focus so you could read this at any time of year or read it at autumn's end/start of winter to begin a season of festive reads.

I have to say I really liked Freya as a character, and I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed being back in Nightingale Square with it's wide array of different characters and personalities. I liked Freya's personality, and her back story - and I loved following her along with days in the garden, and listening about her plans to create some beautiful work of blooms.

The romance in this was very high in chemistry - and while out of all these books, I think I probably would fancy Finn the most - this one just sent up so many red flags for me as it felt every time they interacted, Finn would get explosively angry. While this does all settle, this would put me off!

As all the Nightingale Square books, this is just very pleasant throughout with very minor bumps in the road. It was just a nice reading experience.

Oh my gosh!!! The amazing @heidi_swain has only gone and done it AGAIN!!!

Anyone who follows me will know that Heidi is my favourite author ever, and this book only proves why that is the case! This is her 11th book and yet, her storytelling continues to resonate with me and leave a place in my heart!

I loved re-visiting Nightingale Square and getting to know it’s newest residents, as well as visiting those who have been here a while.

Once again, I love how all the books subtly weave into one another as we hear of the lovely folk from Wynthorpe Hall and Skylark Farm.

Finn is now my favourite of Heidi’s leading men (sorry Jacob) and Freya is just the sweetest woman!! I can’t go on enough about how much I adored this book. This is the perfect read on the lead up to Christmas and I can’t wait to receive my physical copy to place proudly with her other gorgeous books!

Thanks to @simonschusteruk and @netgalley for approving me to read and review it!!

And thank you to @heidi_swain for continuing to write books that make my heart soar and to help me escape! You truly have created the most beautiful locations for your readers to disappear to and I for one look forward to what’s to come in the future 💕💕

Freya Fuller has been working as the live-in gardener for the last three years at a beautiful estate in Suffolk. Unfortunately the owner, Eloise, recreantly died and her home was taken over by her American nephew who has decided to sell the place, including Freya’s cottage which Eloise allowed her to rent.

When she is offered the job as the gardener at the Victorian mansion in Nightingale Square, including accommodation Freya jumps at the chance, especially as she can bring Nell, Eloise’s dog with her. The residents of Nightingale Square are all lovely and friendly with the exception of local artist Finn who has been brought in to design some structures for the garden. He and Freya seem to clash on everything and have a frosty relationship.

But with Christmas fast approaching can the two work through their differences and create the most amazing Winter Garden?

The Winter Garden is the third book in the Nightingale series. I read book one, ‘Sunshine and Sweet Peas in Nightingale Square‘ back in 2018 and enjoyed it immensely, though I haven’t read book two in the series, even though I own a copy. However, whilst I always think series should be read in order I never felt like I didn’t understand what was happening or that I had missed any backstory, so I would say this works as a standalone too.

Freya is a warm-hearted character who not only has had to deal with issues with her family, the death of her boss and best friend Eloise but also put up with the nastiness of her new boss and his unwanted advances. He was still trying to hurt Freya on her leaving day, such a vile human, and I was thankful Freya had found a better place to live and work, one where she would be appreciated.

I love the idea of a winter garden. I’m not very green-fingered so in winter my garden tends to look bare, I’ve never thought about plants for winter before, but I have picked up a few tips from this book.

The story is like one big cuddle in a book. It is inviting, enthralling, and so beautifully written. It made the dark days feel brighter and gives you a sense that it is never too late to change your life if you don’t like where it is heading or what is happening within it. It is a tale of love, friendship, and doing what is right for you.

This is a must-read for the festive period. Whilst it is not a Christmas book it has all the sparkling elements you could want to put you in the holiday mood. Plus if you have read the others in the series there are some familiar faces within and a continuation of their stories.

Ahh would it be Christmas without a Heidi Swain novel - I think not! Another absolute gem that was a direct transportation into the story which is what I've come to gleefully expect.

In this delightful tale we revisit Nightingale Square and the Grow Well crew that have captured my heart from previous novels. The focus is on Freya, a kind-hearted gardener who seemed so sweet, and Finn who definitely deserved someone as sweet as Freya! Freya comes across as quite shy initially but it was lovely to see her character grow (no pun intended) and she got really stuck into the garden and community.

I was a little worried that I was reading this too soon (end Sept) before Christmas for a festive novel but I needn't have worried as the majority was the lead up to the main event and with halloween and bonfire night as a background in the early stages.

There is so much to enjoy from Heidi's stories but something I well and truly love is meeting up with characters from previous works, it makes me want to re-read the others again to get reacquainted properly! Despite it being part of a series, this book could absolutely be read as a standalone however trust me you'd be missing out!

4 fabulous stars!

My many thanks to Simon & Schuster UK via Netgalley for allowing me to read this advanced copy which I have reviewed honestly.

How I love being drawn into Heidi Swain's world, this time we are back in Nightingale Square, but with plenty of references to her locations of Wynbridge and Wynmouth, so that you feel as though you are close to old friends from the other books.

This though is a complete and utter standalone, and although Nightingale Square is a familiar setting to those that have read some of the author's books before, Freya is a whole new character and one that I was enthralled with almost instantly.

She has a couple of tricky decisions to make early in the book which lead to her being brave and agreeing to take a new job in Norwich and to help make Luke's vision of a Winter Garden come to life.

I loved all of Luke's ideas for the garden and also his Winterfest workshops, as a way of hopefully helping others like himself that suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder.

Then there is Finn, who after a bit of a rocky start, is rather wonderful, and I would have happily taken him as my Christmas present this year! He is very talented and like Freya has parents that just don't seem to understand him.

In fact troublesome family is a theme in this book, as is the love of the great outdoors, how all sorts of activities that sounded lovely, and often quite cosy.

This is just a really heartwarming winter's story, in the run up to Christmas, that is perfect to curl up by the fire with a warm drink and just lose yourself in the pages. It's full of Heidi Swain's fabulous writing style, believable characters and I fancied jumping into the book to be a part of it, it felt that realistic.

Just another gem of a read from this incredibly talented author.

Thank you to Simon & Schuster and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Oh so lovely to be back in Nightingale Square and for Christmas this time. When I picked up the book I really didn't know there was such a thing as a Winter Garden, I assumed that the Grow-Well sites and the gardens of the house would just be getting turned over during the colder weather but NOW I want to get out there and plant some bulbs using Freya's trick. You don't have to be into gardening to enjoy this book, I'm not and I loved learning all Freya's methods!

Heidi Swain always does a great job of taking a character or characters who have had a tough time, they're a little down trodden and just trying to make the most of a bad situation and building them up over the course of a novel. This time we have Freya and her canine friend Nell and I loved meeting them both. What I really loved though was getting to watch Freya grow and change over the course of this book, I loved getting to see her blossom and also we get to see Nell getting a better life and loving her new surroundings too.

Of course we are back in Nightingale square for this book and so we get to revisit some of our old friends and catch up with them. It was fab to see how Luke and Kate are expanding their family and if you haven't read the other books with this setting, don't worry, Heidi explains how they all fit together and who is who so you can get to meet them all at the same time that Freya does. The character I really loved seeing was Chloe and I loved all that we get to learn from her. It was wonderful to see her blossom too and I enjoyed reading her side storyline.

It wouldn't be a Heidi Swain book without the kind of relationship will they won't they that gives you those new romance butterflies. Heidi makes use of my favourite romance trope in this book and I was rooting for it all the way. I also really loved that we got to see even more non-straight romance, I love when I can see diversity in a book that is organic and not just thrown in there to tick a box and so I love what this writer included for a certain resident of the square this time.

This book is very much a winter book rather than a Christmas book which feels a little bit different for this author however it has been ages since I have read a seasonal book that is just celebrating the season and not tied to a specific holiday and so if you are looking to kick off your Christmas reading with just a little taster, this one would be the perfect first winter book of the season. I am sure you will be cheering on Freya and Nell throughout just like I was!

Thank you so much Simon & Schuster UK and netgalley for this ARC.

This latest novel by Heidi is just full of sparkles.

A different type of Chrismas read for me, not one mention of a Christmas Tree but a beautiful Winter garden. I would so love to visit here.

Freya ups and leaves her job when horrible Jackson inherits the Estate and ends up at the lovely Nightingale Square working for Luke and Kate. What is is store for Freya this chrismas, Can Freya have a new start? Or go running back to her past?

This is definitely one to read whilst cosy on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate.

I have a confession to make. I’ve bought a few of Heidi’s books but this is the first one I’ve read – and now I am kicking myself for not reading any earlier. My thanks to SJ of Simon & Schuster for sending me a surprise copy.

Freya is quite happy living and working as head gardener at the Broad-Meadows country estate in Suffolk – that is until Eloise her elderly employer dies. However Eloise’s American nephew has his own plans for the estate. A chance meeting with Luke Lonsdale and his wife Kate, the owners of Prosperous Place in Nightingale Square give Freya the possibility of being involved in something quite wonderful involving the creation of a winter garden. It looks like a new start is on the cards for Freya and Nell, Eloise’s nervous rescue dog – if only life was that simple!

Oh my, there was a mixture of characters here – kind, engaging, frustrating, moody, obnoxious. Freya was a kind and sympathetic character who got on well with everyone – except for Finn; engaged by Luke to create some metal sculptures for the winter garden. It just seemed that Freya and Finn were rarely on the same wavelength and if they were, something would happen to throw them off course again.

I really enjoyed this, I loved the friendship and camaraderie from the inhabitants of Nightingale Square and the way they all pulled together to help each other. I shook my head with frustration at the constant misunderstandings between Finn and Freya and my hopes were raised and then dashed at the will they/won’t they scenario. Some of the characters had a depth to their history that added to the story and sensitive issues are handled in a sympathetic way. I have to admit that the one character that stole my heart was nervy Nell, the rescue Whippet cross who went from cowering behind Freya’s legs to being fully at home in her new surroundings.

This is the third book in the Nightingale Square series and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it as a standalone. I’ve checked my books and I do already have the first one in the series Sunshine and Sweet Peas in Nightingale Square – this one I shall be bumping up my reading list.

When Freya's friend, mentor, and boss dies she is bereft, then when the new owner of the Suffolk estate where she works makes it clear that he has no interest in maintaining the gardens or the house and definitely doesn't want to pay Freya for her work, she is devastated. But when one door closes another door opens and a chance radio chat show leads her to meet Luke, the owner of Nightingale Square, and a job offer to create a Winter Garden.

Soon Freya is making new friends in the village and is heavily involved in a series of holiday-inspired classes (think making Christmas puddings, Christmas wreathes etc) to bring the villagers together and alleviate the symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder which impact Luke in particular.

This is the third book in a series about the residents of Nightingale Square, I haven't read the others but this can definitely be read as a stand-alone. Perfect for fans of Katie Fforde, Sue Moorcroft and Kate Hewitt.

Cute, predictable, warm and comforting, this is an easy-read perfect pre-Christmas reading to get you ready for the festive season.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Bumped for release and edited for typos.

Well the queen of fabulous feel good fiction has done it again! What a beautifully written book.

I loved revisiting Nightingale Square and was rooting for Freya and her lovely canine companion, Nell, to find happiness there. I think Finn is my current #swainette crush!

It was lovely how Freya's beloved friend Eloise helped to push her in the right directions and comforting that she was 'there'.

I was sad when I finished it but it's great now having 11 of Heidi's books on my bookshelves to re-read whenever I want to 😊

Loved it!

This is my first Chrismassy story read in a lead up to the celebration season and it definitely got me in a holiday spirit.

I wasn’t aware it was a 3rd book in the series, but it definitely could be read as a stand alone, I certainly didn’t feel like I missed anything while reading it on its own.

It was a cosy story, like a warm blanket to your tired soul and beautiful and supportive characters made this read enjoyable and pleasant. I was swooned away with the setting of Nightingale Square and all the community spirit we get to experience reading this story.

The book is taking us on Freya’s journey after she suddenly moves to Nightingale Square and takes an offered position as a gardener that is needed to prepare Winter Garden for a grand opening. The story is loaded with friendly community banter, romance, grief, new beginnings, battling with mental health issues and much much more.

If you like gardening, warm and comforting love story and you are a dog’s person you are in for a treat!

What a lovely Christmas book by Hedi Swain! This book is all about taking your chances and believing in yourself. If you love gardening you will absolutely love this book! It's so refreshing to spend some time in the garden and with the plants in this book although it's definitely taking place in December and with rainy and snowy weather! This gardening part is a really nice change from other christmas chicklit books you can read. And the romance in this book is also very nice! Not an easy romance but a nice one nonetheless! I recommend this book!!!

It’s that wonderful time of the year where our bookshelves are decorated with festive wintery reads and my first festive book of 2020 is The Winter Garden by Heidi Swain which introduces us to a new lead character in Freya Fuller who is about to be wrapped up in the charm of Nightingale Square.
Freya has marvellous green fingers and has enjoyed her job tending the gardens of Broad Meadows but when the owner, her good friend Eloise passes away Freya not only finds her job at risk but also losing her home. As fate intervenes an opportunity arises at Nightingale Square where owner Luke is looking to open a winter garden for people to escape to in the winter months. A new start for Freya a new home, new job but could this be the start of a new winter romance too?
What a wonderful start to this years festive reads, being reunited with characters that we have grown to know and love in the community hub of Nightingale Square was a real treat and Freya was the perfect character to join their community she was in need of the support and friendship that they all come together and offer.
I personally have to hold my hands up and say when it comes to gardening, I do not have the foggiest where to start so some of the parts of the storyline went over my head but I could feel Freya’s passion and natural flare for gardening.
There is a rollercoaster of a romance surrounding Freya and the incredibly talented and handsome Finn that although it was quite predictable as to what the outcome would be between them I enjoyed the ups and downs of the journey.
I really warmed and connected to Chloe in this novel too and there was a particular part that resonated with me and felt like a kick in the stomach and is something I think people need to take onboard and I am hoping this book may make people think before asking if someone has children just because they wear a wedding ring, I have found myself having the same conversation as Chloe having to explain the death of my husband too as to the reason why we do not have children. Heidi took a sensitive issue and weaved this into the storyline with such care and emotion.
I loved The Winter Garden, Heidi Swain has delivered another cosy heartwarming read. There was a festive feel to the storyline with the traditional Christmas Markets, tasty delights and the Christmas decorations all play a part in bringing the Christmas spirit out in us already I am longing to pop my tree up now and read next to the glistening lights with a hot chocolate!

This is a perfect Christmas book and Heidi never lets any one down with her writing and you will be hooked straight away. Plenty of starting life again and being happy with difficulties with families and plenty of romance to but heartbreak along the way as well. The characters are brilliant and you want to curl up on the sofa and escape the world by reading this book.
Freya is not really in contact much with her parents as she hasn’t followed what they wanted her to do in life and she’s been gardening and sadly the lady died and the son has taken over the estate and they just don’t get on and when she has a day off and listens to the radio and hears of a garden open in Norfolk she heads over and goes and looks round but can see so much more could be done if she worked there. When she is offered a job with a house there at nightingale square she takes it up as can see she will be very happy. When she starts working to open up the winter gardens she soon makes new friends and when she comes across Finn and she can feel an attraction to him but is trying to hide it. Finn isn’t talking much with his family either and can they both make a go of being together and will their parents be proud of what they have done at the winter gardens and can they be happy ever after or not.
Well worth reading and worth far more than five stars.

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This book gave me ALL the feels!!!!!!!
Thank you to Books and The City and Simon and Schuster for letting me take part in this tour and for my copy of this book via Netgalley. I am a HUGE fan of Heidi’s writing, especially her Christmas books.
In this book, we return to Nightingale Square and Prosperous Place. This is the third book set here but all can be read as standalones. This is the first time we’ve been here for Christmas and it has everything we have come to expect from a Heidi Christmas book. Winterfest is definitely something I could get on board with. I loved the sound of the sessions and I wish there was something like that I could go to. I also always love going to Christmas Markets and for obvious reasons, there won’t be any this year. This really saddens me so I really enjoyed visiting them through this story.
Freya has been through so much recently. She has really had her confidence knocked and is a little reserved to begin with but as the book progresses, she really starts to believe in herself. I just loved watching her become so settled and at home. I was so happy for her.
Finn is a real hunk of a man. He’s likened to Thor. He sounds very dreamy and if I’m honest probably too much man for me. He’s the sort of man I could appreciate and I can see why Freya falls for him but never the sort of man I would be with. His brother Zak, on the other hand, seems much more me and I really hope we get a book on Zak.
Little Nell. She is so sweet and it was so lovely to watch her blossom. That gorgeous little dog just needed a little love and a happy environment which she gets in abundance in her new home.
The Garden is magnificent. I am not green-fingered. Like not in the slightest but that didn’t stop me enjoying it. I would absolutely love to visit the Winter Garden. It sounds like such a magical place.
Heidi touches on the subjects of mental health and seasonal affective disorder. This book teaches us that just because its cold and dark there are still things to look forward to. I think it’s a real message of hope that we need right now.

I LOVED this book! @heidi_swain has created a wonderful Christmassy story of love, hope, family and nature. Freya finds herself in a new town, in a new job and with a new garden to work in. I loved the idea of creating a garden in winter and the way this was connected with mental health and SAD was so well handled and explored. The writing and pacing were perfect and you went through this journey with Freya and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. I loved the secondary characters and Freya’s interactions with them. I would have loved more on them but Freya is such a great character I loved following her journey. @heidi_swain made it so perfect for these long nights and dark and cold weather - I’d highly recommend this book!

Another lovely and easy read by the queen of chic lit. 3.5.

A nice Christmas story if you fancy a break in between all of the thrillers that you read (or is that just me). A predictable and straight forward story line with great characterisation and idyllic landscapes. Romance, Christmas and friendships which form a nice warm story. The gardening theme was a little bit excessive I found however still enjoyable.

Freya loves her job as a gardener, however after her best friend and mentor Eloise has died nothing is well anymore. Suddenly, after the country estate she works at and loves so much, has been taken over by Eloise’s greedy relative, Freya finds herself looking after a new job and a place to live. Once she’s lucky and quickly finds her new spot at Prosperous Place where she’s responsible for creating Winter Garden and then Winterfest to celebrate the festive season. She meets there amazing people who quickly become her friends, but not all of them… She and Finn seem to rub each other the wrong way – as they must work together for the garden, will they be able to overcome their differences?

“The Winter Garden“ is the third book in the Nightingale Square series but what is lovely is the fact that the characters from previous books play a huge part in this story as well, so it’s really like getting back with old friends. However, if you haven’t read the previous books, it’s also not a problem as there are new characters introduced to us and the book follows their lives and shenanigans as well. It introduces us to Freya who I really liked, though at the beginning she felt a little… meh. But then she gained her confidence again and she was like a different person, funny and sharp. Both Freya and Finn, another new character to the series, were so passionable about their jobs, though Finn, no matter how handsome, was annoying with his broody and moody approach, blowing hot and cold. It was really frustrating to see how they both kept jumping to conclusions instead of communicating with each other and the intervention was long overdue.

There was finally life in the characters and the banter between them was lively and realistic. There was a hidden depth to it that was surrounded by light humour. The descriptions were lovely, full of details but not overdone so that the book didn’t feel too wordy – thanks god! – but it just let me easily get into the story. I am not a gardener, I have two left hands when it comes to plants, planting, flowers – sadly – but I still enjoyed the descriptions of the garden and the brilliant ideas the characters seemed to bandy about. And there was this lovely festive feeling to it – I’ve read the book over Christmas time and there wasn’t a better read that could have kept me a company under my Christmas tree. Yes, there were moments that everything felt a bit too easy and the things looked as if they’ve solved them by themselves and the „bad“ characters were a bit overdrawn but it was still a nice, enjoyable read about new beginnings.

The author has for sure captured the community feeling, I’m not sure if sometimes it wouldn’t be too much for me personally, having people around me all the time and always being willing to take part in another project. I don’t know, did they feel obliged? Well, it was simply too fairy – tale, the fact that everybody were able to put their private lives on hold to take part in Luke’s new projects. But well, as long as they’re happy… And as much as I liked it, it was simply too perfect, so detached from real life, and the problems that from time to time arose felt superficial and really not important – but I’m guessing that was the premise of this story that simply wanted to let us escape for a few hours.

The story touches upon so many things – there is a new love, a little drama, creating a garden, crafting workshops, rescue dog, many, many Christmas markets with mulled wine and lovely ideas for presents, an overwhelming community feelings, new beginnings…, but the author has managed to brilliantly interweave all of the threads together, creating a heart – warming and relatable story. A lovely, Christmassy read.

I loved this. I felt I was wrapped up in a warm Christmas hug.
I’m quite new to Heidi Swain and I didn’t realise this was part of a series, however it didn’t really matter as it can be read as a stand-alone as the main characters, Finn and Freya are the main focus.
I loved the descriptions of Finn and him being compared to Thor, then his brother Zak appears and I can’t help compare him to Loki 😂 as they work on their newly respected friendship and Zak helps Finn out with his work shop I pictured them as Thor and Loki arguing over doing ‘get help’ which really tickled me ( but I admit I’m just odd!! 😂)

The descriptions of the garden were beautiful, especially as it was winter and you mainly only envision dead to dying plants and frozen soil, but I’m totally inspired to try and bring some life to my garden this winter now I know there are plants that are meant to flourish in winter. Finns sculptures were stunning and really wish I had that set of Hares hiding in my lawn. Finns heart was beautiful and I loved all the help he gave people, his thoughtfulness was touching.
Luke and Kate were amazing and I loved reading about them and seeing how Luke cared for everyone and tried to ensure everyone was happy, I really can’t wait to read other books in this series and learn more of his story.
The whole book was a joy to read and flowed seamlessly from start to finish, with such vivid and amazing descriptions of the town, market and garden. The perfect story to read on a winters day wrapped up with a hot chocolate.

What an absolute joy this book was! This author has never let me down and I don't need to read the synopsis to know that I will enjoy one of her books.
We're back in Nightingale Square and straight away I felt like I'd come home, the atmosphere and residents just welcome you and nothing is too much trouble. I'd say that it was the most perfect place for Freya to end up. I liked Freya straight away. I also love gardening but I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to plants and what grows with what or what grows where, and I found it very interesting. The author writes so well, getting the information across but without boring you. I could quite happily have worked along side Freya, with Nell in tow. I loved Nell and how Freya cared for her really melted my heart. Freya stood up for herself and that's another reason that I liked her.
I loved spending time with Kate and Luke again, Luke is a sweetheart and again nothing is too much trouble and he really cares for his family, friends and employees.
The Winter Garden is beautifully written with a magical feel to it, full of festive fun but will there be romance in the air?
I wanted Freya to be happy and to feel complete and she really deserved to be.
Heidi's signature humour is sprinkled throughout the book and I enjoyed every minute that I spent reading it.
I very highly recommend this book and I can't wait to meet - hopefully - the gorgeous Finn again.
A fabulous read, thank you.
