A captivating new standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster. When the Dark Knights at Bayside and the cast of Bayside Summers collide, sparks fly, and trouble—or maybe love—is not far behind.

Set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod, the Wickeds feature fiercely protective heroes, strong heroines, and unbreakable family bonds. If you think bikers are all the same, you haven't met the Dark Knights. The Dark Knights are a motorcycle club, not a gang. Their members stick together like family and will stop at nothing to keep their communities safe. Their stories are told in the same loving, passionate voice readers have come to adore from Melissa. Some of the Wickeds' love stories will be hilariously fun, others will tear at your heartstrings with injections of humor, but they will all leave you wishing you could climb between the pages and join them!

In USA Today Bestseller A LITTLE BIT WICKED...
What do a cocky biker and a businesswoman who has sworn off dating bad boys have in common? According to Chloe Mallery, not much. But she couldn't be more wrong...

Justin came into the Wicked family after a harsh upbringing by a thieving father. He’s gone through a lot to become a true Wicked, and he’s made them proud. Now he’s ready to show the woman he loves exactly what type of man he is. But Chloe has worked hard to move past her difficult upbringing, and she’s wary of getting involved with a man who looks like he’s walked right out of it. When tragedy strikes, will their trying pasts draw them together, or will Justin’s protective nature be too much for Chloe’s independent heart to accept?

"'Two pieces of driftwood looking for their island. That’s you and me.'"
If there was ever a book I wanted to live in, this is it. From the setting, to the hero and heroine, to the people who surround them, and so much more, everything is spot on. If I could have given this a 10/5, I would have.
This is my favorite Melissa Foster book, and I'm not sure if that'll change soon, regardless of how many books of hers I read.

"She wanted to stay there in his arms, with the breeze on her cheeks and his lips on hers until the sun came up."
The title is all wrong. There is nothing (and from the description, really nothing) little about Justin "Maverick" Wicked. He's my perfect book boyfriend. Am I too late to claim him? Justin is everything, you guys. Physically, he's a biker, he's hot, he has a lot of tattoos. But everything else about him is actually hotter. His heart, the way he gives everything of himself to people, his love for animals, his protectiveness, and his perseverance. He knew he wanted Chloe, and he knew he wasn't just about sex. And so he waited. Have I mentioned he's a romantic AND a dirty talker?
I want to marry this guy.

"'You can’t save me from the world, Justin.”
“I’ll never stop trying,'"

Chloe's one hell of a heroine. She's been through so much, both as a child and as a woman, and she came out of it stronger. Maybe a bit battered and bruised on the inside, and a lot guarded about who she gives her heart to, but alive and kicking. It's endearing to see she's so passionate about her job, and she cares so much about everything she does – even if it's just scrapbooking for her friends or taking pictures of special moments. She enjoys the small things, and everything, because she never had much. She's a lot - and it would take a special man to take in everything she is.

"“I don’t know why you chose me when I kept denying us, but I’m so glad you did.”
“It wasn’t a choice, Chloe. When I saw you, all other women failed to exist.”"

*swoons*
OK, so, Justin's wanted Chloe basically since the first time he saw her, about a year and a half ago. He tries to flirt, he tries to get closer, and he puts every move he knows on her, but she's not having it. And we know why that is, but the poor guy doesn't. And still, he doesn't let up. It's not at all in a creepy kind of way, mind you – he's just there for her, and he's determined to change her mind, because he knows they're right for each other.

"The people, the music, and every other thing in the damn bar faded to black. Chloe was all Justin saw, all he felt, and all he wanted."
We also know Chloe's not immune to Justin's charm, or to anything about him, but she tries her best to be. She tries to avoid what's going on. Until one night at the bar, and later at the beach, when they trust each other with everything they are and everything that made them what (and who) they are, and they let each other in.
And damn it, it's perfect in all its simplicity.

I've seen a lot of reviews about other books where people complain about lack of communication, and that's often why there's angst in romance novels: he didn't say this, she didn't say that, and a lot could've been avoided if they had. There's nothing like this here. Once these two people decide they want to be together, there's nothing but communication: with their words, their eyes, their bodies. It's heartwarming.

And can I also say they are scorching hot together, while being so amazingly in love? The hotness level here is off the charts!

"'It’s going to be hard, and heart-wrenching, and there might be times when you think you can’t go on. But when your legs give out, I’ll stand for you, and when mine need a break—
“I’ll stand for you,”"

This is the first book in a series, and we get a lot of characters from past (and future) novels. And we get a family, because that's what the Dark Knights are. It's beautiful to see how they're there for each other, for the community, how they never ever let themselves hurt – or celebrate – alone. This really touched my heart, the way every other book of Melissa's I read: I come from a really small family, and this makes me feel like I belong there, somehow.

"'You made me realize that all those things I collected were just buoys helping me remain afloat in a sea of hopes and dreams. But you are my safe haven, my happy place. You are my island, Justin, and I want to be yours.'"
This is the kind of book you want to go back to, because it's a happy book. The angst that does exist has nothing to do with Justin and Chloe together, and everything to do with the rest of the world.

They both have pasts they need to heal from, and the only way to do it is by letting each other in, and by loving each other through it.

It may have taken them a year and a half to get here, but they're definitely not letting go of each other now. Once you have it, you know you do.

I can't wait to read more of this series.

Spoilers ahead, on hold for now

I'm sorry but this book is fricking tedious man like wtf???? She doesn't want to be with him because he's a supposed tattooed up bad boy and her mother has spent years with those kinds of men so she doesn't want to repeat her mother's mistakes so she goes on dates with "decent" men even though he's shown her on numerous occasions that he's different to the usual men her mother has? And this goes on and on smh
And him? He's sure she's the one and je won't give up....yet he's got a rep among their friends for having a big dick because they saw him coming out of one of that friend's room naked and he had apparently slept with that friend??? IDK I didn't read up to the explanation..... I just can't right now

***someone tell me if he actually slept with the friend so I'll know if to even bother please???

******edited to ass- so apparently the friend thing was before he met her so I'm still struggling through until something else catches my attention

Oh, my, this book was JUST what I needed at this time. In true Melissa Foster style A Little Bit Wicked delivered an exceptional, sexy and heart-warming friends to lovers romance.

Foster creates swoon worthy heroes, but I have to say Justin Wicked is the cream of the crop. That man is so divine. He was not what I had expected based on the few encounters I had with him in previous books. A great friend and an even greater boyfriend. A confident male who is not afraid to go after what he wants.

Her heroines are usually sassy, smart and caring and Chloe epitomised all these traits.

Chloe and Justin were great as friends and they proved to be awesome as a couple. Their journey towards this new aspect of their relationship took one and a half year. Why? Chloe didn’t want to be involved with a biker. She saw bikers as being bad based on her experience, but she would learn that the Dark Knights were not the typical run-of-the-mill motorcycle gang.

Despite their differences, they had a lot in common. They both had painful pasts, which they overcame to become strong individuals. They were artistic, and they shared a love for animals. Falling in love with them was both was as easy as 123. I loved seeing them together. My heart broke for them both when the stories of their past came to light.

I enjoyed watching them as they navigated through their relationship. Slow burn, hot and romantic. They both had me fanning myself throughout the story.

The friendships that developed and the family dynamics helped in driving the story.
Love and laughter permeated the pages of the book which made for interesting moments.

Conclusion/Recommendation
I enjoyed this latest offering from Foster, and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Melissa Foster is one of a few authors that I don’t even think before I click to read. Okay, wait, I’m not going to read a paranormal even if she writes it LOL but anything else is fair game. She has proven time and time again that she can take any trope/genre and use her word wizardry to make it magic !

Justin Wicked and Chloe Mallery, a true opposites attract with a simmering chemistry that laced every page of their story. I was invested in their happiness together from the very beginning. I wanted/needed them both to come out of their pasts and be stronger because of them. These two did not have easy childhoods/upbringings and Melissa does and exceptional job of unfolding the events in their pasts that quite frankly drew some serious emotions from me. I felt a lot of thing while I read this story. Sometimes I was rageful, other times I was laughing and most of the times I was hopeful. That’s what Melissa brings to the table every time. She gives you a story of hope all wrapped up with friendship, family and love. She always makes sure to embrace not only the family chosen but the family tethered by blood and all of those things were showcased so well in this story that I am honestly sad it ever came to an end.

Steamy and sweet, this friends to lovers romance features a biker with a big heart. I won't lie to you - the beginning of this was a struggle for me. For a book that's the start of a new series, it really doesn't feel like a standalone. There are a LOT of characters to keep track of (so many that the author provided a chart at the beginning of the book), and I was about ready to abandon ship. I'm glad that I didn't, because it becomes much easier to settle into the story once it gets going. I loved the hero and the connection was definitely there, so it turned into a great read. This one's for those that love a light, sexy romance with plenty of the good times. Our couple gets together early on and the focus is on them strengthening their relationship, so it's low angst and steamy with a lot of time devoted to subplots.
The story follows Justin, a biker who fell for Chloe the moment he met her. He's been relentless in his pursuit ever since, flirting whenever possible and trying to convince her that they're meant to be. But Chloe's experience with tough guys has not been favorable (there are definitely some TRIGGERS in this one), so she's unwilling to take a chance on Justin - no matter how tempting he may be. When something changes Chloe's mind and she finally gives Justin his shot, he's got to prove that Chloe wasn't wrong to have a change of heart.
I really loved Justin's determination, and his unwavering desire to start something with Chloe. It was refreshing that he was already planning ahead before he even got his girl, and the lack of OW drama was great (other than one minor blip on the radar). It's a light, playful, and very steamy opposites attract romance where the feelings are already established when the book begins so there's not much holding these two back from embracing the love. That didn't really help with my feeling that this doesn't read as a standalone - in addition to countless characters, there was already history that we're not privy to at the start. For me, this started as a 3-star read, but it wasn't long before it worked its way higher. Longtime fans of Foster will likely enjoy it from the beginning, because there's obvious chemistry and characters that are easy to like. Now that I've got a better handle on the other characters, I imagine the next books will read a lot better. I received an ARC via Inkslinger PR and am voluntarily leaving a review of this steamy romance.

2.5 Stars I was going to just let it go and not say anything, but I just can't. The shear amount of couples to try and keep up with in this book was mind-boggling. I had glazed eyes for the first 25% of the book because of the world building and coupledom that was being thrown at me from other series. I get fans want to know what is going on with their fav couples, but it was just too much here for me. I had to constantly remind myself of what couple I was reading about. It was fine when the story was focused on our couple, but it would veer off the rails with either past couples or people that will couple in the next books of the series and then get reined back into our couple. I was just glad for it to be over with in the end, because my brain hurt.

Justin Wicked is the whipped cream and cherry on top of the perfect boyfriend sundae!

From the very first chapter, I was completely engrossed in Justin and Chloe’s romance. I loved their slow burn, friends-to-lovers relationship. And how each brought out the absolute best in the other.

Justin and Chloe had terrible childhoods. And how they each moved past them is astounding—though, Chloe still struggles sometimes with reconciling her deep seated desire for stability and not give in to the urge to run off with the bad boy next door.

But that’s where Justin comes through the best—where he reminds her that not all bad boys are the same. But that beneath the rough and rugged exterior lies a heart of gold and a romantic man who’ll do anything to protect those he loves. That good things can come from being just A Little Bit Wicked.

I so greatly enjoyed getting to know more about this Wicked family and cannot wait for more! ~ Missy, 5 stars

A LITTLE BIT WICKED is a tease of a title because this book was a WHOLE LOT OF WICKED!

Yes it was everything I had hoped for and soooo much more! Justin Wicked and Chloe Mallery have been dancing around one another for a while and I knew it was just a matter of time before they came together but as each of their friends paired off I was beginning to wonder what was happening with these two.

A Little Bit Wicked by Melissa Foster was the first book in The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside series, a spin off from The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor series. It was also one of many that intertwined within her Love In Bloom series. Although enlightening, it was not necessary to read the previous series prior to starting A Little Bit Wicked.

Justin Wicked and Chloe Mallery. We met both previously, primarily in the Bayside Summers series, with Justin as a huge flirt, Chloe always blowing him off and the two igniting sparks every time they were within any distance of each other!

A Little Bit Wicked was a “feel goods” life lessons book. Chloe and Justin had both endured a troubling past and were still navigating the waters for a trust filled future. It was mostly sweet once Justin wore Chloe down but Foster added a slight suspenseful thread as well that ended in drama. Did I say sweet? Yes, Justin was sweet to Chloe in his over protective alpha way, but he was a dirty talker, so there was nothing sweet about the sex scenes!

Additionally, Foster introduced the entire Wickeds and Dark Knights clan. Their bond was tight and strong with a bevy of over protective, hot alpha men and sassy, badass, loyal women.

All in all, it was well written, well developed and entertaining. Tank and Leah are next in The Wicked Aftermath and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds.

description

"Love is much stronger than anger and confusion…Honesty and love can conquer anything.”

We can’t believe we’ve waited this long to finally read a Melissa Foster book! We’ve had some of her books on our Kindles for a while and being in a bit of a quandary about what to read next, we decided to go through our back catalogue, and A Little Bit Wicked, the first book in The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside jumped out at us! And who doesn’t love a small-town biker book?

This series follows on from another series, and we were a little worried we may not know the characters, but Melissa Foster did a great job of catching us up and familiarising us with past and present characters, and of course, now we want to know ALL their stories!

‘But club and family came first. Always.’

Set on the shores of Cape Code, The Dark Knights is a motorcycle club, not to be confused with a biker ‘gang'. These guys are more into helping their community than knocking in heads, though, they are fiercely protective of those in the ‘family’ fold and will do what’s necessary to protect their loved ones and family at all costs. So, while it’s not your typical gritty biker book, it certainly does have its raw moments.

“Two pieces of driftwood looking or their island. That’s you and me.”

Chloe Mallory is a lady who isn’t interested in letting biker ‘bad boy’ Justin ‘Maverick’ Wicked into her heart. After years of seeing her mother wear a path bringing men home, some who were less than savoury, Chloe is after a man she can depend on. A good man, and she doesn’t think Justin fits the bill.

“You’ve got a good man on your hands.”
“I’ve got a wicked good man on my hands.”

Justin Wicked may look tough on the outside – all handsome and muscular with his sexy tattoos and biker gear, but this guy is quite the sweetheart on the inside, and he’s a man who is all kinds of tied up in his Uptown Girl, Chloe. Can he win her over and show her he’s the man of her dreams – we already know he’s the man of her fantasies… and why wouldn’t he be?

‘He didn’t play games. He played for keeps.’

We loved this introduction to this series and can’t wait to devour more of them. A Little Bit Wicked had a wonderful small-town feel, where family and loyalty are paramount. There were a LOT of characters to get our heads around, which was a little confusing at times, but we soon found our way around the club and the town and fell in love with these guys!

This is a steamy, at times heartbreaking (there are triggers in this book) friends to lovers’ romance, told beautifully and at times achingly so, as Justin and Chloe explore their past pain, and try to shed the baggage that has forever held them back. You can bet we’ll be jumping into the rest of this series!

DNF @ 78% — I started this in March and I have no desire to pick it back up exactly 3 months later. It’s boring, not a big fan of the writing style, theres too many characters to keep track of, etc etc. Not a fan. 😬

*3.5-4 Stars*

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

I liked Justin and Chloe's story, and I remember being curious about them in other books because of the obvious attraction/tension there. I was glad they finally got their own story. I did however, think the book was a little bit too full of just, fluff. Yes its great that there is no huge conflict or angsty moments, but I just think it probably could've been a bit shorter and it wouldn't have affected the story.

I liked that the book dealt with serious issues, both present and past, and how supportive of each other Justin and Chloe were. And their family around them. There were a lot of really cute and fun things in this book which I enjoyed.

I would be interested in reading about Justins family, and hope that they get books as well.

I would recommend this, but its not one of my favourites by this author.

I will be honest in that this won’t be a full-length review, I have quite a migraine building but I wanted to share my thoughts on this book with you. I would like to mention that this book wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for which is why it’s a four-star but I still had quite a blast with this one. I just didn’t find myself fully engaged as I normally am with this author and her books. I am not sure if it was just the setup of the story that just didn’t quite work out for me or not. So it did take a while for me to be fully engaged within the story. I was interested in the story and seeing how this would be all adapted and seeing these characters really come together. We have our main couple which is Justin and Chloe. Justin is a bad boy biker who is flirty and has been trying to get Chloe to take him seriously. But seriously has a past that warns her off from anyone that could be a bad boy or appears to be. We see how hard Justin has to work to get under Chloe’s skin and wear down her resistance. There is strong chemistry between them, but Justin knows he just needs to be patient. And when that moment happens when she does let down her guard and trust that Justin won’t hurt or betray her, was such a beautifully captured moment. The way that Justin and Chloe learn each other forms those intimate bonds that go deeper than friendship, and also face some struggles along the way and come through on top with flying colors was such a journey to see. This book had me in TEARS though so just fair warning, Melissa Foster works her intensity in this story, especially in the latter half. I am so eager to get more of this family and all the sibling antics and the teasers we received for future books.

Overall I found A Little Bit Wicked to be a sassy, light yet edgy romance that worked its way into my heart and delivered in the range of emotions from crying buckets of tears to laughing hysterically. A TRUE GRITTY GEM TO MARVEL IN!

This is the first book of a new series written by Melissa Foster. The Wickeds is a cross-series world because it has little bits of the Bayside and Whiskey series.

Justin Wicked is a hard, protective artist and is a member of the Dark Knights and mostly known as "Long dong naked man". For several books he's been in love with Chloe Mallery (Selena's sister).

It is finally their time and their book is so great and well written. In my personal opinion, there are a lot of characters and some times it is a bit confusing... But the book has a character chart that helps a lot when you are reading.

Chloe is a business woman working on a assisted living residence with great ideas and always thinking ahead. Justin is an artist and a community person, always taking care of his loved ones.

This is the great thing about this book, it is well written and it makes you think a lot about family and community. Specially Chloe, she makes her friends her family and Justin brings his family to her. She is accepted and loved by them all.

Justin is a great character and, frankly, I think one of the best male character that I read this year.

A great book!

3.5 Stars Good but for me not great

OK, Justin on one hand was 5 Stars all the way but Chloe....ehhh she was like a wet noodle with her wavering and whining oh no bad boys, etc... For me personally, wish Justin would have just moved on with someone who truly appreciated him from the start but that's just me lol.

All in a good read...nothing spectacular for me but just good.

The moment I started this book I knew that I was going to completely fall in love with it. The characters, the story and just the overall family love that comes from the pages is amazing.

Chloe and Justin are opposites yet there is just something about them that works. You can feel their chemistry from the very beginning and it only continued to grow more and more as their story progressed. I loved their friendship and the flirting at the beginning. It was sweet and sometimes funny.

Justin and Chloe both came from broken pasts, but have both slowly overcome those. I felt for Chloe, especially as her story unraveled. I also felt for Justin, because I couldn’t imagine experiencing what he did at such a young age. I love watching them come together and be the love and support they both needed.

A Little Bit Wicked is a story full of love, laughs and plenty of family moments. A MUST READ!

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This may be the first book in this series, but as any Foster fan knows, all the books have links and connections, and part of the fun is getting up to date with the families and couples from previous books. This one definitely ties together a whole lot of old friends - both through the Dark Knights MC, but also through the Book Club ... which runs locally and also online! I did find the drawing out of the connections to seem more important that the story of Justin and Chloe at times. Maybe that was because I knew them already, but it does mean that a new reader would be submerged in a lot of characters and not be sure of what their relevance was to this story.

Once things got going though, this is an absolutely classic and unputdownable Foster read. I loved how the two of them could not resist the pull, and that Justin was not only able to make Chloe understand that he was a good guy, but he enabled her to change her views on life. Both having had challenging childhoods (to say the least) they have a deep appreciation for how they had grown into good people. Chloe's work at LOCAL, the elderly residential home, means she has to deal with a particularly unpleasant boss - but little did anyone expect the events which unfurl. Thankfully the Dark Knights have completely taken her under their wing, and though horrible, things are resolved well.

From his lovely beach recreation for her book club party, to the time they spend at Gunner's dog rescue centre with Sampson and Shadow, this is a romantic, sexy and very enjoyable read. Foster fans will be delighted I am sure!

Everyone needs a little Wicked in their life...

Justin and Chloe are friends. He hasn't hidden his attraction to his 'Uptown Girl', but he knows she isn't ready for him yet. But in the meantime he has been showing her that the good guys can have tats, a motorcycle, and leathers.

Chloe has let her mother's bad taste in men affect her view of men and relationships. And she doesn't want to become like her mother. So she dates boring businessmen. But her jerk detector is a bit off. Justin gets past her walls. He is everything she thought she didn't want. What she didn't realize is that he is everything she needs.

He admired her independence. Her spine. Her kindness and generosity. He wants to be her strength and protection, but he also knows he can't smother her.

She helps him realize he doesn't need to see his past as having damaged him or him as failing but rather as having given him strength, love, community, and family.

They both fill the empty spaces in each others hearts.

This story expands the bookiverse some more. It gives us family, community, humor, and lots of steam.

Loved Chloe & Justin's journey to HEA.

I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Oh my GOD this one was almost PAINFUL to read!
Such a lame read, I got a migraine from all of my eye-rolling.
The characters were too damn sweet, it was like reading a Hallmark movie with cheesy conversations and stupid plastic smiles on everyone's faces.
The dialogues were horrible- nobody talk this way!
"You are so wicked!"
"I want to eat your taco.."

And what was it with the long-ass speeches?? It sounded as if they were confessing to a priest rather than conversing with a lover. I skipped half the book and they were still preaching..

The plot was lucking, no real dilemmas, no real issues, just two obnoxious people gushing over and over and over one another.
Also there were about 30 different characters in the book from previous novels I assume, all of them sticky-sweet in love and, of course, very close friends (damn Hallmark!)

Yaiks!!!
If you're deliriously romantic- you might enjoy this one, but if you enjoy good writing, credible characters and complex situations- this book will surely kill your brain cells. Beware!

This is such a good book. I could hardly put it down. Justin is a keeper and he is made of book boyfriend material. The little things he does for Chloe will make you swoon. Chloe and Justin are so adorable together. He has so much patience with her it will warm your heart. There are so sensitive subjects that could be triggers, but it tastefully done to bring awareness to them. There were a few times this book had tears forming in my eyes. I loved the Wicked family and the Dark Knights. Family is so important to them. I want to be a part of Chloe's book club. That seems like it would be a blast to be a member. I also loved the work Chloe does for the senior population. You can see how much that work means to her. This book packed full of feels and heart, but also humor and heat. This is a must read. Trust me a book hangover can result from reading this book. The characters are going to pull you right in and won't let you up for air. It's a book that you're sad to see end.

This best-friends-to-lovers romance is perfect for your next swoon-worthy read. Justin is our hero, and he is sexy, good with his hands, and has a gooey-sweet center. Chloe is struggling with finding her one genuine love through a series of unfortunate dates. But could the answer be right in front of her eyes?

The Dark Knights bring humor, sexiness, and brotherhood into Melissa Foster’s world and weaves them perfectly into this new stand-alone romance. Their friendship and family surround Justin and Chloe while supporting their blossoming love.

A LITTLE BIT WICKED is fun and flirty, with some added angst and lots of passion. It’s emotional and well thought out and will have you rooting for true love. Justin and Chloe’s slow-build romance with the addition of secondary characters like the Dark Knights brothers make for another perfect read to add to your Summer reading list.

KINDLE / APPLE / NOOK / KOBO / GOOGLE / PB

When Justin Wicked finally decides that he's done with Chloe Mallery denying the feelings between them, Chloe does not stand a chance at resisting the dirty talking man with a heart of gold. Her heart, her all, will be his if she just allows herself to trust that he's not like the bikers in her past. Can Chloe allow herself to open up to Justin, allow the chance of getting hurt again?

I cannot tell you how much I loved this installment of the Dark Knights world. It's full of heat, full of even more heart, and the big extended family in this world just keeps getting better and better. Justin is a BBF for the ages - sweet, protective and swoony with a dirty mouth and a tender heart, and Chloe is strong and independent and more than a match for her own Wicked man. I so cannot wait for more Wickeds!

If you thought you got all you could of Justin and Chloe in the previous glimpses of them. Then you are in for one delicious ride into what they have been dancing around for the last several books from Melissa Foster's Bayside Summers series. I really don't want to give away any of this journey to love and forever between Justin and Chloe. I will tell you this it was worth every minute of the wait it took to get this one. It was worth all the hours of reading page after pages and not wanting to put it down to do anything. I was wanting as much of them as I could get.

This was my first time reading a book written by Melissa Foster and it definitely will not be my last. A Little Bit Wicked (though there is nothing "little" about how wicked this book was) is sexy, charming, humorous and swoon-worthy.

A Little Bit Wicked follows Justin "Maverick" Wicked, adopted son of Reba and Rob "Preacher" Wicked, and Chloe Mallery, Serena Mallery's sister. Both Justin and Chloe have not had an easy time growing up but that did not hinder them from becoming compassionate, patient and loving towards the people in their lives.

Justin is a member of a motorcycle club called The Dark Knights which does not fall under the stereotypical MC clubs. The Dark Knights are all about helping the community and the less fortunate, often getting involved in charity rallies. I must say I really loved Justin. He had so many sides to him. He could be very flirty one second, and then really romantic the next. He is also not afraid to protect the people he loves by any means necessary. I absolutely loved that he never pretended to be someone else and that he was never afraid to say what is on his mind. What you see is what you get when it comes to Justin. Not to mention Justin is quite the dirty talker which I absolutely love in my heroes.
"I will never be your ex-boyfriend. But I will be your last, because once you realize you're meant to be with me, no other man will ever be enough."

It took me a bit longer to warm up to Chloe, but I adored and admired her once I found out what she has gone through growing up as I understood her more. She is really a strong, loving and genuinely nice person who is always there for her family and friends. I did not like that she just assumed that Justin is exactly like the men in her past solemnly based on appearance, but once I found out what the past actually entails, I began to understand why she was so cautious when it came to men and relationships.
"I am Uptown Girl, but I'd rather be know as Justin's girl."
There was an outpouring of agreement from the girls as Justin pulled her into his arms and said, "My girl, Maverick's old lady, Uptown Girl. I don't care as long as you're mine."

I absolutely adore Justin's family and their friends. And there are many, believe me. At the beginning I had a bit of a hard time remembering who is who but I got the hang of it eventually. It is obvious how much they love and care for each other and they all would go to the end of the world for one another. But while they are protective of each other, they also tease each other mercilessly which was one of my favourite things about this book. Justin's brothers are freaking hilarious and I cannot wait for them to fall on their asses when "the one" comes along.
"A little bird told me that Maverick has been given quite a descriptive nickname for his junk. Maybe you're jealous."
Blaine scoffed. "Does an anaconda get jealous of a garden snake? I don't think so."

A Little Bit Wicked had it all; romance, humor, drama, love and family. I definitely recommend picking up this one and succumbing to the world of deliciously Wicked men. I already cannot wait to read Tank and Leah's story in The Wicked Aftermath .

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*

I love Melissa Foster and her writing technique.

Justin has his eyes on Chloe Mallery for years, however, she has put him in the friendzone. Chloe is staying clear of "bad boys" as a result of her mother and their past. Justin is determined to break down her walls and show her his softer side.

I loved Justin and Chloe. Justin is so sweet, caring, and sexy. Chloe is strong, independent, and caring. I thought their relationship was sweet. If I am completely honest, I have read a lot of Melissa Foster's books and I enjoy them, however, it is getting to the stage where I am getting confused with the number of characters and their roles. I had to refer back to my notes a lot.

As a result, as much as I loved the storyline and as much as I loved Justin and Chloe's relationship (they had me swooning at times). The number of characters got to me. In saying that there is a chart of characters at the start of the book that really helped. The pace was perfect and the writing technique was captivating, like always.

Thank you to Lisa for a copy of this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

5 Star Review of A Little Bit Wicked (The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside #1)  by Melissa Foster

A Little Bit Wicked was a book that I quickly found myself invested in and I had a hard time putting this one down. The writing is strong and descriptive and I could easily imagine myself on Cape Cod. It is a story of romance, angst, family, friendship and humour that left me with a smile on my face. Ms. Foster wove a tale that kept me captivated from the first page until the last.

I love the feeling of family, even if not by blood and I was intrigued by the blurb, a biker and a businesswoman, it just seemed like it would be an entertaining read and it was. This is Chloe and Justin’s story.
Justin, a Dark Knight, finally, after what seems like forever, convinces Chloe to give him a chance. However Chloe is wary after the past that she has striven to escape from. In fact they have both come a long way from the past that threatened to destroy them both.
When tragedy strikes, will Justin's protective, caring ways bring them together or push them apart? Can they both come to terms with the past and in doing so forge a path to happiness together?

A Little Bit Wicked is the first book in The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside by Melissa Foster. The book is a stand-alone but many characters from the previous and future books appear. Honestly, the family tree in the beginning of the book is not enough to cover everyone and the relationship they have with each other. At some point, I wished I had the family tree printed because it's annoying to go back and forth and there were many times that I was mixing up who was who because sometimes they were referred to with their given name and others with their club name.

My biggest issue with the book was Justin's past with Violet. I couldn't finish her book and it's one of my most hated ones and every single time someone mentions her my mood goes sour. In chapter 2 of this book the history was brought up again and I was 100% on the same boat with Chloe's feelings. I stopped reading the book for a couple of weeks, but one day I decided to resume. I had to finish the book, so I decided to endure it. Reading Justin's perspective about the situation certainly made me change my mind about him and it helped with my overall feelings about the book.

You see, Justin is a kind man who would do everything for his family and friends and he is a very kind person. I couldn't help but fall for him. Chloe is also another great character and dares I say, one of my favorite heroines out of all the author has written. She is strong, caring and someone you want to have in your life. She can handle her problems on her own without being annoying.

The beginning of the book was a little too slow for me, but later on, it sped up. There was a twist at the end that could have been excluded and it wouldn't have changed anything, but I guess every book needs its drama. Overall, A little bit wicked was a good book, not exactly fit to be a beginner of a series since it feels like every book is a part of the same series will all the crossovers, but a first time or a casual reader still can enjoy it. The book has the signature elements of a MF book so the fans of the author will certainly enjoy the book.

I can't wait to read more about the rest of the Wickeds!

This novel is about Justin Wicked and Chloe Mallery. Justin has been crazy over Chloe since they first met over a year ago although she has kept him in the friend zone. Chloe thinks she wants a professional, clean-cut looking man instead of a tattooed biker. But luckily after bumping into one another at the right times and Justin really opening up to Chloe about his life, she finally quits fighting the attraction between them. They have a sweet and sexy and perfect romance until one day something horrible happens and Justin’s protective nature kicks in full force.

Here is what I loved about this book. First of all, Justin. I mean, the man can do no wrong in my eyes and he will be my favorite and one and only book boyfriend forever. How could someone be so hot, sweet, caring, intelligent, in touch with their emotions, etc. all wrapped up into one hot package? Anyway, I digress. The next thing that I adored about this book was storyline about the rescue dogs. I fell in love with Shadow and Sampson and wish they were real so I could love them up. But mostly, I loved getting to watch the amazing Wicked family come together once again for the greater good. Are there really huge families like this with so much love and selflessness?

Unfortunately, and I hate to say this, I was not a big fan of the female main character, Chloe. I started to warm up to her a little as things started progressing with Justin, but there was just something about her I didn’t like. This is still a 5-star read for me, but I struggled with her several times throughout the book.

Despite my issues with Chloe, A Little Bit Wicked is one of the best books I’ve read by Melissa Foster. I love them all, but something about this one was especially touching along with being a sexy romance. A lot of triggers are addressed from child abuse to suicide and everything in between, and I guarantee you will grab for the Kleenex a time or two. But this was just a fantastic read. I laughed, cried, swooned over Justin, and probably felt about every emotion possible. Melissa Foster’s writing talent continues to flourish and I am more and more in awe of her writing each time I pick up a new book. I definitely recommend this one to contemporary romance fans, especially those that really want that extra substance weaved into the plot. This is one I will probably read more than once but right now I am anxiously and impatiently wishing and hoping for Tank’s story 🙂

A good read. I enjoyed meeting the Dark Knights of Bayside although at times I felt overwhelmed by the number of characters mentioned. I think they are characters from another series by this author that I haven’t read so I had a hard time figuring out who everyone was and the connections to each other. But I think the more books I read by this author, the more those pieces will start to come together.

Hold on to your hats Love in Bloom fans, A Little Bit Wicked adds a plethora of new characters to the Love in Bloom Universe. Not all of the characters are new. We’ve met our male protagonist Justin Wicked, and our female protagonist Chloe Mallery as secondary characters in several of the previous Bayside books. We’ve also been briefly introduced to several members of the Wicker/Dark Knights family. Several of the other secondary characters in this book have already been introduced as main characters in previous stories from the Bayside Nights series like her younger sister Serena and her husband Drake, Harper and Gavin, Desiree and Rick, Violet and Andre, Emery and Dean, Teagan and Jett. Ms. Foster must love the Cape Cod area because it has become the location for several of her most recent series. Myself, I’m having trouble keeping them all straight. Now add to this all of the Wickeds that are introduced and then the women who work at the Salty Hog a bar owned by one branch of the Wicked family and the Wicked Dog Rescue and assorted members of the Dark Knights and my brains are beginning to feel truly scrambled. For me I think I might have enjoyed this book more if I hadn’t already read all of the Whiskeys of Peaceful Harbor series because a lot of it in regard to explaining what the Dark Knights M.C. are about is redundant. Also, the Wicked family in many ways very much resembled the Whiskey family.
Justin Wicked has been flirting/chasing Chloe Mallery for around a year and a half now. Chloe definitely finds Justin attractive in a bad boy way but he’s just not what she’s looking for. When he’s not sculpting or running his Cap Stone Masonry business with his brother Blaine, he’s a member of the Black Knights M.C. and proudly dresses like a biker. Chloe’s mother likes bikers and Chloe has a long and sordid history with her mother’s biker boyfriends trying to molest her and her younger sister Serena. Chloe wants a nice safe guy who wears a suit and tie to work. Problem is none of the guys she meets on dating apps give her stomach the butterflies that Justin does. Justin is convinced that he and Chloe are meant to be together if she’d just give him a chance. He’s tired of witnessing most of her first dates with Ken dolls in suits that rarely get past the introductions. He’s tired of just being Chloe’s friend. One night he finally has the opportunity to spell it all out for her and give her an idea of who he really is and what he and the Dark Knights are about. Chloe quickly realizes she’s misjudged Justin based upon her previous experiences and before you know it they’re lovers. This happens early enough in the story that I wondered what the author was going to do to keep us interested for the balance of the book. A good part of the book is Chloe and Justin falling more and more in love, learning about one another and how to make their relationship work. Chloe and Justin having a lot of hot sex. Chloe meeting Justin’s family and falling in love with them too. Chloe discovering she loves riding on the back of Justin’s motorcycle with his buddies. Chloe figuring out just how empty and meaningless her life was before she let Justin into it. Chloe and Justin falling in love with Shadow at the dog rescue. Chloe dealing with her insipid, self-centered mother. Lurking in the background is Alan, Chloe’s lecherous boss whom despite her previous experiences with lecherous men and Justin’s warnings Chloe is convinced is just a harmless close talker. Since Chloe is the director of LOCAL the assisted living/nursing home I never really understood what Alan’s job was other than to perv on Chloe? And just when things in Chloe’s life couldn’t get any better Foster throws in a curve ball that threatens Justin, and her career. This was a good book. Both Justin and Chloe had interesting back stories. Their banter was fun.. Their romance was almost too flowery and sweet. Justin just a bit too much the perfect swoon worthy boyfriend. The sex was plenty hot. As with the Whiskeys series the Wicked parents were a bit too loving and wise perfect and the Dark Knights a bit too idealistic. There were plenty of teases as to whom the future couples in the series might be.
