Why does this cover have to be suspicious as hell c’mon I’m just trying to add it to my reading goal.

This is about the sweetest and most loving soft-core porn you'll ever find. The women are so lovey dovey! But that seems to be the only point the author has to make . . . unless the cover trips your trigger, then the interior delivers many more gentle naked embraces in and out of water.

Hayama and Terano are still dating and still doing well and still being aggressively syrupy. Despite a cover you won’t likely see on a mass transit system any time soon, the more things change the more they do, indeed, stay the same.

Today we have an interesting case of reviewer versus authorial intent. I did not realize this until the notes at the end of the book, but this series is largely free of anything negative because of the experiences of the author getting started in manga.

But, and I don’t know why I only got bothered by it this time around, this book is not so much light-hearted as it is utterly frictionless. A greased turkey sliding down a skating rink has more gripping moments.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but the whole time I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was eating scripted sugar. Just spoon after spoon of sickly sweet content with nothing to change the texture. It’s a lot and after a while it just blends together.

Some little life event happens and our duo are sweet and then, most likely, they have sex. I mean, you can’t fault having a healthy and accepted lesbian relationship and I don’t - I think that is the series’ secret strength.

And it’s got some good laughs; although that school legend story is predictable as heck it at least has a really cute ending (although possibly the most wildly inappropriate moment for our couple to date as well). Background possible second couple are fun; the gossiping students are a hoot. The revelation of the secret of the dinosaur models is actually probably my favourite cute moment in a sea of them.

However, it just doesn’t feel earned. These are good characters in an underserved genre who I want the best for and yet they are getting it all handed to them on a platter. When I look at the more dysfunctional reality of working yuri like, say, Still Sick, I feel like this might be the stronger title but I would rather read the other one because things feel like they matter.

3.5 stars, for all that, but I am not rounding it up this time. If you just want a cute bullet shot straight to your feels, you could do a lot worse and I get why this series is popular, in fact I like it quite a bit, but you have to realize that it is just one thing and not exactly nuanced about it.

Pure fluff, to the point of the characters barely having a thoughtful conversation. Incredibly sweet, but directionless. Moments that could’ve been interesting, like the experience of moving in together, were glossed over with one sentence.
It could’ve been a fluffy but personal discussion of what to keep and how to build a life together combining their styles and interests. Instead, they ask each other to move in at once and the next page is them being like teeheehee we get to wake up together. Which great, but anything that could’ve made them fleshed out as characters was lacking.
The whole volume is like that. Where previous volume was maybe a sugar cookie, this is more cotton candy, even sweeter but almost no form or substance at all.

Tbh if it was a straight romance I’d give it a 2, but we always need more stories of established queer relationships so I’m rounding up to 3. 1 volume to go, I’ll finish it up but if it was a longer series I might’ve dropped it.

Realising that this series has strictly one narrative construction means that this volume isn't as rewarding as the previous two. Things happen, the couple resolve their issues in a cute and satisfying manner, they have sex. That this relationship is normalises and accepts lesbian relationships in such a affirming way is a positive for the series as a whole.

The afterword in this volume explains why the series is so positive, so sweet, so free from even the slightest drama - it serves as an escape from the negativity of the real world and it desires to give its characters the happy ending they should get in reality. Fiction often serves as an escape, a chance to right the wrongs of our own lives. Sometimes, however, the stories in this volume have unearned resolutions. It'd be nice to see Terano and Hayama work for something more, something earned.

I don't want to complain too much though. This is still an enjoyable and adorable series. It's nice to see such a positive and affirming relationship between these two characters. It's especially nice to see them be so open about their love for each other. Just give them more interesting stories, please!

More of a 3.5 star rating;
I’m a bit worried that despite having moved in together, Hayama and Terano’s relationship hasn’t really progressed much. Aside from small misunderstandings with the occasional advice from a friend, their relationship hasn’t really had much drama or conflict. The overall feel of this series so far, is pretty stagnant and it’s starting to feel almost repetitive.
I will keep reading this series, but I’m not sure on how much longer.

It doesn't feel like a year. Nothing has changed between them – er, actually they're even more lovey-dovey than at the beginning, and there's more fluffiness added each chapter. There was even less drama and more maturity in this volume.

It's not really a bad thing, I still appreciate the absence of drama, it's just a bit surprising.

But hey, maybe I'm just so used to reading about couples with lots of drama or fighting or misunderstandings, that having that much of a loving couple, with almost no issues, simply is unusual. Which also is kinda sad. I demand more pure-fluff books.

I'm still really loving the story. I thought this one ended on a good point with a fun and spooky side story. I hope we get more romantic adventures in future volumes.

stars. Aww, it’s their first year anniversary and this was so adorable. Easily my favorite volume so far. I loved their anniversary date and the chapter about the ‘haunted’ vase at the school was super cute. I adore this series and I’m sad that the next volume is the last one!

'Our Teachers Are Dating!,' vol 3, has these two settled into a lovey-dovey relationship together, and even moving in with each other! Also, the author notes in their afterward, "I like love scenes during a happy ending; fluffy smut is the best." As you might have guessed from the cover, there's a lot more love scenes in this volume, and it's adorable that it doesn't just have to be their friends throwing them together now. Not sure where else the story is going now, but as long as it stays this cute and fluffy, I'll keep reading.

I liked the 2nd volume more than this one. It has sweet moments that I liked, but I feel like this one was pure fluff and cutesyness that it starts to be a little too much for me personally.🤷🏻‍♀️ I want this series to end well, and if I'm not mistaken, the next volume is the last one. I'm excited to see what happens and where we leave these two off. They are great characters, just want more interesting story from them.💕

This whole series feels like the sugary sweet epilogue to a romance series, and this one’s another volume no conflicts to speak of, just sweet, cutesy vibes between two women who’re head over heels for one another.

If volumes 1 and 2 were enjoyable enough for you to keep reading, this one’s not going to be any exception. I definitely enjoyed this volume more than I did the first volume, and I *do* plan to read the next one.

What is so wonderful about this series is just how positive it is--two women in love, with no internalized homophobia or miscommunication. It's two women in love and their every day moments, big and small, as their lives thread together. It made me think about how much I appreciate my girlfriend and how beautiful love is.

This series continues to be 100% unadultered fluff. Still, reading the creator notes at the end of the book reveal this series was made after they were dealing with a lot of obstacles in their life. They wanted to write fluff and have other people enjoy it. So in this regard the creator absolutely succeeded.

Xxxed all night… also not very realistic. No lesbians would wait a year before moving in together.
