Lost Ship: A Survival Game

Rate this book
Lost Ship is a tabletop game for one or two players about the sacrifices and compromises made during an interstellar war. Created by the author of Westside, Deadball, and Comrades, it uses simple mechanics to tell the harrowing story of 40,000 lost souls’ journey home.

In this game, you are the executive officer of a stranded colony ship leaping from star to star in search of a planet to call home. You are responsible for maintaining the ship’s key systems, supervising the pilots who protect it in battle, and doing whatever it takes to safeguard the 40,000 travelers aboard.

You will track damage, duty assignments, pilot deaths, and the other ugly details of this odyssey across the stars. Your captain directs each battle; the pilots fight. All you can do is watch, pray, and record the chaos.

A game of Lost Ship tracks your journey leap by harrowing leap. When your ship arrives in an unfamiliar system, straightforward six-sided die rolls tell you what you find: fuel, parts, enemy warships, or—if you are lucky—a planet to claim as your own.

Welcome to space. Try not to die.

A simple, low effort game about getting yourself to a safe haven. You're probably not going to make it, because your ship has limited resources and hardly anything going for it. But if you're lucky and you're thoughtful, maybe you can find a new home? Surprisingly poignant.
